Project Lupa the Pack vs the Red Room C7
Alex looked around the others in the lab, Maria was talking with Jemma, Natasha and Melina while Skye and Yelena were off to one side talking with Fitz who looked a little uncomfortable in that moment as Skye and Yelena discussed their previous jobs. Bobbie was standing behind Skye her arms wrapped around her as she eyed the former assassin closely. Melina had taken Alex's blood and ran the same tests that the pack doctors had with the exception of one, she had asked to get a ct scan of Alex's brain. Maria had confirmed it and had arranged for them to get one tomorrow which left Melina to look over the data she had received from her other tests. Alex tilted her head in thought this movement caught Maria's attention who was aware of Alex's movements with a critical eye. Maria turned to look at her.
"What is it?" Maria asked getting the others attention as the room fell into silence.
"I do not like labs." Alex stated but after a minute she also added "I have a slight headache." This news had both Melina and Jemma going into doctor mode, Jemma was concerned while Melina was curious. Their questions were however silenced when Alex's phone went off. She managed to get away from the doctors and pulled out her phone, a small frown falling over her face as she read whatever was on there.
"What is it?" Natasha asked taking a step closer to her.
"That…can't be right." Alex mumbled moving over to the computer that currently had her file up, she exited out of that and before anyone could stop her she was on a dark site. Her fingers were flying across the keys only Skye was following along with what she was doing. In a few minutes there was code streaming across the screen when Skye gasped leaning in closer to read the screen more clearly.
"Not possible." Skye stated
"What?" Maria asked
"We knew this was a possibility." Alex replied not answering Maria's question…yet. (at least that is what she told her wolf)
"Not that…but this…how did you know about this? You shouldn't be…"
"So your worried about how I got this intel instead of the lead I got on Marcel?"
"That is not a lead, he would not be this…careless." Skye stated trying to think of a better word.
"The Red Room fell, he will be wanting the top spot."
"You and I both know he is not the kind of man to make a spot light. This…"
"What exactly is this?" Maria asked breaking up their conversation.
"It is a lead on Marcel…that is most likely a trap." Alex stated
"It mentions Natasha." Skye added
"She was the one to file the report about the Red Room's fall." Alex pointed out
"He knows you are with her." Skye stated as a fact not a guess.
"He knew SHIELD's involvement. This…this is to get our attention." Alex stated
"Don't make me ask again." Maria stated with an audible sigh.
"He's gone after SHIELD."
"What?" the room tensed
"How so?" Maria asked just as her phone started going off.
"That will probably be about it." Alex stated
"What do you know?" Natasha asked
"What does it have to do with Natasha?" Melina asked
"A SHIELD's safe house has been attacked." Alex stated typing something else on the screen pulling up some photos. Even Natasha had to wince at the gruesomeness of it.
"You think he did this?" Natasha asked
"We know he did." Skye stated carefully but she was no longer looking at the screen she was looking at Alex. Skye had gone very pale it had Bobbie and Jemma looking at her with worry.
"This is a replica of one of our jobs." Alex stated that made everyone in the room tense.
"It is so…messy." Yelena stated after the silence had drifted on for a moment to long it became uncomfortable.
"We were not the ones leading it…there is…if she. Alex?" Skye asked looking at her hoping for some reassurance.
"If he has let her out, you know who her next target will be…I-…" Alex closed her eyes, her fists were clenched. "I won't be able to stop her." Alex all but whispered.
"We are stronger together." Skye stated thinking back to how they stopped his last attempt, hell Alex even managed to kill a handler something that they thought would be impossible.
"Not enough…we have… morals now. They have made us weak." Alex slammed her fist onto the desk cracking it.
"Hey!"" Natasha warned seeming Maria had left the room to take the call from Nick.
"I don't see it that way, we have something to fight for now, something he never considered." Skye stated she would fight to protect Bobbie, Coulson, Maria and the others in the pack.
"You know that won't be enough, if they are around when she comes…it will be worse than Rio."
"You promised never to mention that." Skye mumbled running her hands through her hair and stopped, she tilted her head in thought a lot like Alex Natasha thought seeing this action she waited knowing that Skye was thinking. "Maybe this is a blessing, if we can contain her they could."
"NO!" Alex shouted standing up.
"Alex." Skye glared at her, she did not want her stubbornness to get in the way of helping herself. She turned to look at Natasha and before Alex could stop her. "Ray was classed as a failure only Marcel did something to fix her." Skye stated Alex stepped forward to Skye to stop her in an attack a small growl escaping her lips but was stopped by Natasha who blocked her attack, instantly her wolf went submissive and the fight in her disappeared.
"I am taking it that this Ray person did that?" Natasha asked indicating the killings in the photos.
"Yes, you think we are strong, she is stronger. She is his number one, his go to assassin."
"If she is messy like this then…" Yelena began once again looking at the photos.
"He wanted it messy." Alex stated through gritted teeth. "It was a message. Her skills vary and her lethalness is 100%. She is Death. You think I am powerful? She is 5times as strong and once she has a target…nothing will stop her."
"You think she is coming for you?" Natasha asked
"No, its worse than that… she is coming for you." Alex stated looking at Natasha.
"You cannot know that." Melina stated going on the defense.
"How do you know?" Natasha asked but her voice held a strain to it, Maria was now back in the room she moved over to Natasha and was looking at Alex for answers.
"You going to tell her?" Alex asked looking at Maria.
"That was Fury, the report…your report was found at the safehouse." Maria stated with a grim expression. Nick had wanted her to come in but she said she would deal with it from here right now she will not leave her pack. Especially if Marcel has sent his top assassin after her beta, after her Mate.
"So she is coming after me?" Natasha asked looking from Maria to the screen then back to Alex.
"We will fight with you." Yelena stated "You need to tell us everything you know about this Ray person." She added looking between Skye and Alex both of whom were staring at each other having a silent conversation with their eyes.
"You could draw her, so they know what she looks like." Skye stated looking at Alex
"Having an image of her won't be helpful you know what she can do." Alex retorted
"Yes, but I also know that you will be able to sense her before she can do it." Skye replied "We can't just accept it, we will fight."
"We will die." Alex snapped "hell I am dying anyway." Alex sighed she closed her eyes in thought. "Do you remember the job we did in Abu Dubai?"
"I try not to think about what we did…" Skye replied
"Skye?" Alex asked wanting an answer making Skye sigh as she thought back, Skye found remembering the jobs they did a little hazy and the added bonus of everyone now watching her, Skye made a frustrated noise.
"No, I don't remember, how can you remember aren't they hazy?" she asked Alex.
"The Persian." Alex supplied and it clicked then when she mentioned it.
"Oh, the rich…" Skye stopped and looked around the room. "What about him?" Skye asked wanting to roll this along as fast as she could before they asked too many questions.
"I am thinking we do the same sort of thing."
"It won't work, we had access to the building…" Skye began
"He had access to a SHIELD file, and a SHIELD safe house…clearly, they are using the same game plan. Skye we were all taught the same thing."
"Then they will know we know and will have a plan to overpower us." Skye pointed out but Alex smiled at her and this smile Skye did no like it was a look of a predator.
"So you have a plan?" Yelena asked reminding them that they were not alone.
"Yes, we are going to surrender." Alex replied simply.
