"What?"

"No fair."

"No way."

Maria was the one to raise her hand for silence Natasha was in a state of shock she turned to look at Skye who looked rather uncomfortable in that moment.

"How?" she asked after the others quietened down.

"If you let me finish, she cannot die by my hand. Just as she cannot kill me, whatever they did to us…it is complicated."

"If she cannot die then how will this work?" Maria asked her mind was racing with so many questions but she knew the others were following her example.

"I should clarify, she can die…she just comes back." Alex stated slowly "I do not know if Marcel even knows this we discovered it by accident."

"You killed her accidently?" Yelena asked

"I'd rather not talk about it." Alex shuffled on her feet looking down, that day was not something she liked to remember it was a terrible mission and everything went wrong.

"How do you know it will happen again? If it was an accident…"

"We discovered it by accident, we have used it a few times. It is very handy." Alex corrected

"How many times have you died?" Jemma asked turning to look at Skye but Skye would not meet her gaze, she knew she was a freak but this was on a whole new level.

"It's our superpower." Alex stated taking a step closer to Skye reaching out and taking her hand giving it a gentle squeeze she made no other comment on how she was feeling. She flicked her other hand and the barrier went down as she eyed those in the room. "This will work." She added.

"You haven't said what you plan to do after, once you get away?" Maria stated on this Alex looked down, it was Skye's turn to squeeze her hand in support.

"She will take me back to Marcel."

"What?" Maria was in shock she knew how Alex felt about him, what she feared from him.

"That is awfully risky, will he not just kill you?" Melina asked

"He doesn't want me dead, punished? Definitely but he wants me back under his control, so he won't kill me."

"Then won't he regain control over you?" Bobbie asked speaking for the first time.

"He will have to save me first." Alex responded

"Then what?"

"Then you come in guns blazing and destroy everything." Alex replied

"You've been saying from the beginning though how you don't want us fighting his assassins, what's changed?"

"If I play it right they won't be a problem."

"You don't mean…Alex! If he does that to you…you know what will happen." Skye pulled Alex closer so she was looking her in the eyes the two of them started to glow.

"What is happening?" Yelena asked taking a step back.

"It is the only way, besides if I time it just right."

"Al he knows you want to destroy him."

"That is why this plan will work, by doing this I am burning my ties with my allies, in his eyes I will need him. It is a win-win."

"There are a lot of pieces, it can get complicated if they don't all fit and you will be…what happens if he regains his power over you?"

"Then you will have to come and wake me up." Alex stated although she did not sound too confident on that part though she dropped her gaze from Skye and looked down at her feet.

"This plan…" Natasha began to speak but Alex interrupted her.

"Has to work, it is the only way. It is our only option now. If not you will definitely die, I will die and most of your friends will die. I know there are a lot of components to this plan, but I also know our capabilities; this will work!" Alex stated straightening up she turned and looked at Maria, pleading with her across the link that this was the only way. Everyone in the room was quiet as they waited for her answer.

"I don't like it." Maria stated she held up her hand stopping any protests from either Skye or Alex. "I don't like it, but I trust you and if you are saying this is the only way…I only have one request." Maria stated holding Alex's gaze that was how she agreed to her plan, they did not have much time they needed to get to New York, there was a lot that needed to be done and little time to do it. Maria just hoped that her packmates will get through this in one piece.
