Project Lupa chronicles The Pack vs The Red Room chapter 12

Maria watched as Skye's powers engulfed Alex, but it didn't seem to hurt her it was as if her powers were embracing Alex. Alex in turn dove at the assassin she was fighting with incredible speed.

"She is glowing!" Tony shouted the wind picked up inside it felt like there was a tornado the others had to move or they would be picked up. Steve saw one of the other assassins that had tried going for Skye get yanked off his feet and thrown across the room. He was sent flying towards Alex not that he could attack her.

"We need to get out of here!" Steve shouted but his voice got stolen by the wind. Skye started walking towards Alex not phased by the wind. Another assassin tried to get her he ended up dead by Skye's hand. Skye sent another wave of power at Ray gaining her attention from Alex. Skye fell to her knees as she felt her power but it gave Alex the chance she needed so she could get the upper-hand.

Skye now able to move got back to her feet and joined Alex in fighting Ray the two of them were glowing and they were in sync with each other using their powers to boost each other they managed to land blow after blow on Ray but she was strong. She fought back Skye felt one of her arms break but she kept fighting. She dove at her grabbing her hands stopping her from using her power on Alex as Alex landed on top of her back forcing her to her knees. Skye knew that if she let her hands go it would be all over she could feel her power creeping up her arms and was only keeping up a rather weak shield with her powers.

"You think you win?" Ray asked "They will never forgive you." She gasped out as Alex pulled on her neck trying to block the air from entering her.

"Do it." Skye stated the pain was starting to get to her she knew any second now she would let her go.

"It wasn't real." Alex stated using the air like a blade she sliced through Ray's throat. Blood spurted on both Alex and Skye as Skye fell back in exhaustion. Alex detangled herself from Ray's body and looked around the room. There were no assassins around.

"Marcel?" Skye asked as Alex bent down and kissed her starting the healing process. Alex fell back with a sigh.

"I killed him, but they took his body. I don't know if he will stay dead." Alex replied looking down at Ray then over at Skye. "That was reckless of you." She stated

"It worked." Skye replied and watched as Alex moved to Ray once again and beheaded her.

"So she won't come back." Alex shrugged when Skye pulled a face at her.

"DO you know who took him?"

"No, After I killed him Ray attacked. But I do have his scent." Alex stated

"Then you will want to go after him too?"

"The last stretch." Alex told her

"The others aren't exactly happy with you." Skye stated

"Maria knew what I was doing, so did Natasha. It had to be believable. Are you mad at me?"

"I'm tired…and sore. I think I have a few broken bones." Skye stated

"You didn't answer my question."

"SKYE!" Bobbie came running in followed by Maria and the others, Clint was there and had an arrow aimed drawn and released before Maria could stop him. Alex easily caught the arrow and tilted her head at him.

"Angry enough to kill apparently." Alex stated as she looked from Skye to Maria who had taken the bow off him.

"Why are you being so calm about this? She killed…"

"She didn't kill Natasha." Maria stated confusing Clint and Steve who had followed her in. Bucky was on his heels and in his hand was his gun.

"What?" Clint asked he had felt her death over the link, the others did too so how…

"You seriously think I would let her get the drop on me like that?" Melina asked only for her to step forward removing the mask to reveal Natasha.

"What?" Yelena asked shocked "Then where is Mama?" She asked

"Back at the apartment working on something." Natasha replied

"How? You were dead, there was no pulse, no heartbeat." Steve stated

"It was not Natasha I killed." Alex replied leaving it at that she looked at Maria. "I need to go." She stated

"Not alone this time." Maria stated Alex looked like she wanted to protest but Maria only had to arch an eyebrow which had Alex lowering her head in acceptance.

"Skye is in no shape to fight, her arms are broken."

"Hey." Skye protested standing up but Coulson and May were on her planning on taking her to Jemma. Bobbie moved so she could help her walk, Skye did look exhausted.

"I will take the assassins then." Alex stated

"Assassins?"

"Natasha, Yelena and Barnes."

"What about me?" Alexei asked stepping forward.

"Why were you so messy?" Yelena asked looking down at the remains of Ray.

"So they can't bring her back." Alex replied

"What? They can do that? First powers now resurrection I definitely feel cheated." Yelena complained.

"You never said they could bring people back to life?" Maria stated

"Because I did not know they could. I learnt that while I was here, it is how he fixed me. He killed me and brought me back." Alex replied

"So that was what it was." Maria mumbled even though her link to Alex had been somewhat blocked she had felt an immense pain for a split second but it was gone just as fast as it arrived.

"And what is it you are wanting us to do?" Natasha asked

"Make sure Marcel stays dead. If we were smart we will destroy this place and burn everything in it but you probably want to look around. I will leave this to you I need to go before I lose his scent."

"Scent?" Steve asked but when Alex turned to look at him he tensed as there was a look in her eyes a look of a predator.

"A skill I have to help me keep track of my targets." Alex replied she then looked to Natasha. "I would like to take point." Alex asked after getting a look from Maria Natasha gave her a nod and held out her hand to take the lead.

"Are we seriously going to let her go?" Stark asked "She might not have killed Natasha but she did kill someone in my building." He stated

"It was all for show, I am sorry but your reactions had to be authentic for our plan to work." Maria stated she knew he would want answers and she also knew that this whole thing was a headache in the making.

"Your plan?" Stark asked she could see the anger in his eyes. "Last I checked we do not work for SHIELD."

"I do." Clint stated and Steve helped on occasion not to mention Natasha.

"I am not happy with the way this went. But these assassins were all enhanced." Steve stated he had wanted to stay with Bucky but Bucky had told him to stay there to keep things civil and to get answers.

"I will admit…" Stark began but was stopped as an explosion shock the ground. "What was that?" he asked

'Sir the base is self destructing.' Jarvis informed him

"We need to get out of here." Stark told them sharing that the base was self destructing.

"She didn't do this did she?" Clint asked looking at Maria

"No, it could be one of his assassins. We have no idea how many he has under his control. Once his top assassin fell the others that were here are no longer here." Maria stated as Clint looked around she was right there had been about five still standing when Skye did that thing that started a tornado inside now he could not see their bodies anywhere. Maria led them outside Steve being the last one just as they made it out the building collapsed in on itself.

"Well, that?" Steve began to speak then there was a massive explosion that knocked them all off their feet.
