Project Lupa chronicles the Pack vs the Red Room chapter 14

Natasha was sitting on the chair looking at the Yelena who was currently unconscious on a bed in the pack house. Alex had made it back in record time they managed to stop the bleeding when they pulled out the metal, Natasha had talked Maria into injecting Yelena she was not losing her sister. It had been a week and Yelena showed no sign of waking up.

"The others are getting worried, you've barely left the room." Maria stated rubbing Natasha's shoulders.

"Clint is still angry at me, I am ignoring Stark's calls and Steve knows where I am from Bucky." Natasha stated although she knew she was not meaning her team, she was referring to her pack. "Is Coulson and his team still here?"

"He left this morning, got called in for a mission. The only ones here are Alex, Sharon and Trip the others were called back. Clint went back to the farm." Maria added

"Because he is angry with us." Natasha pointed out at this Maria agreed, Clint was not happy at being deceived, he especially did not like feeling Natasha's death or in this case Skye's. The pack had been briefed on the plan and they were all confused and curious at how she was alive after being killed. Skye and Alex did not have an answer for them, Fitz had asked if that meant if Skye could not die. Skye had then pointed out she did not want to test any theories that may have been going on in his head. Alex had remained silent after it all she had closed herself off after bringing Yelena back, she had hidden away in her room with Sharon only coming out for meals. Skye had healed fully but even she seemed different to the others. Natasha had meant to check on them but she was solely focused on Yelena and how she will react when she wakes up and finds out what they had done.

"What are you thinking about?" Maria asked her almost in a whisper she was hugging her now and saw the thoughtful expression her mate was wearing in this moment.

"Do you think she will hate me?" Natasha asked, she had only started patching up the resentment and anger Yelena had been feeling towards her.

"I think…she will be a little angry but I don't think she will hate you, I don't think she ever really hated you." Maria replied pressing her lips to Natasha's head. "Come get something to eat." Maria told her without forcing her.

"I-" she stopped because Yelena groaned grabbing both of there attention. Natasha moved closer to her taking hold of her hand. "Yelena?" She asked carefully.

"Five more minutes." She mumbled but then it seemed she became aware as her eyes flew open Natasha held her down stopping her from rising.

"You are safe." She reassured her.

"What happened?" she asked, she did not feel any pain. She moved her hands over her body but felt no bandages or pain of any kind. "How long was I out?" she asked

"3 weeks." Natasha replied helping her sit up slowly as she looked from Natasha to Maria.

"What happened?" She asked looking around the room but it was just them.

"You were hurt." Natasha began

"I know that but this is not a hospital." Yelena pointed out.

"No, this is your room."

"My room?"

"You were hurt Yelena…and in order to save you, well Maria?" Natasha stated looking at Maria as this was her cue to take over. So Maria explained it once again giving the talk explaining the wolf serum and how she was now part of her pack. Yelena sat there in a stunned silence before looking at Natasha.

"Is this a joke? Because if it is it is not funny." Yelena stated but from the look Natasha was giving her she realized they were not joking. Both Natasha and Maria wore serious expressions.

"So I have superpowers?" Yelena asked for clarification.

"Sort of, your senses and strength has increased greatly, your healing is faster then normal humans even faster then what you were with the blackwidow serum. You will be like Natasha if I am being accurately honest." Maria explained

"And you said something about turning into a wolf?" Yelena asked her expression slowly changed until she was grinning. "That is so cool. Even worth this link I am feeling towards you. What is this?" She asked she could feel their emotions and a connection with them, to please them.

"I am your Alpha, Natasha is your Beta. Your wolf is accepting us." Maria replied she had claimed Yelena after the first two weeks of her being unconscious by then her body had adjusted to the serum and her wolf was formed, but other then a steady heartbeat she was not showing any signs of life even the bond that had formed after the last injection was very faint. Once Maria had claimed her that bond had grown and her wolf had become more prominent over the link.

"So the others that I met, your team they are part of this?" Yelena asked

"Yes." Maria replied

"Even Alex and Skye?"

"Yes."

"So they are still stronger…" Yelena mumbled more to herself Maria could feel her competitive nature towards them and would have to watch out for it.

"Do you think you feel up to getting up?" Natasha asked hovering over her like a mother hen.

"I feel physically fine." Yelena stated getting up and it was the truth her body had adjusted to the change while she slept, she somehow already felt like she was part of this pack. Natasha stayed close as they followed Maria out to the main living room. Yelena looked around there was no one there. Maria had told Alex and Sharon to stay in their room, Trip was currently in the kitchen so they would come across him soon. Maria wanted to see how she would respond to another member of the pack. Natasha was currently talking to Yelena explaining what life would be like from now on that she would never be alone again. The sound of a glass breaking had Maria looking up and over at Trip who was standing there with his mouth hanging open as he stared at Yelena. Maria recognized that look.

"I thought you agents were meant to be good with your hands." Yelena stated as the silence dragged on.

"Girl I will be whatever you want me to be." Trip replied Yelena gasped as their wolves recognized each other. Trip was grinning at her like a schoolboy and as Yelena looked him up and down a small smile pulled at her lips.

"We will leave you two alone, Trip can show you around." Maria stated Natasha looked like she wanted to protest but one look from Maria had her nodding.

"If you need me just shout." Natasha told her before giving Trip a hard look, one that clearly meant I will be watching you. Maria pulled Natasha away up to their room for more privacy.

"She is fine." Maria told her 10 minutes later, Natasha had wanted to go and check on her and as much as Maria wanted to go and make sure her newest wolf felt welcome from the feelings she felt across the bond she knew exactly what they were doing. "Give them half an hour then we will check on them." Maria stated she had pulled out a file from her bag and sighed, her work was never over. Natasha heard her sigh and moved over to her rubbing her shoulders, she ended up hugging her from behind.

"You could leave it for today." Natasha stated

"No, Nick wants this done." Maria replied

"Is there anything I can do?" she asked

"Take Alex to the gym, she's been locked up in her room with Sharon for the last few days." Maria asked she had started to worry about her, every time she checked on her link it felt too stiff, her responses were almost robotic. She was too quiet, even when Skye was there. Ever since she got back, she had been slightly different. Maria did not fear her betrayal she could feel her loyalty that was not the issue, the issue was her other emotions or the lack of in her case. Maria feared that her time back with Marcos caused more damage to her mental status she was reverting to her old self. She could even feel Sharon's concern for her mate, therefore she knew they needed to act.
