Bound

Summary: Kidnapped and unable to escape, Kagome finds herself bound to an Arrancar by the name of Ulquiorra because of a stupid little crystal. [Ulquiorra/Kagome]

Odd, Ulquiorra thought, turning his head a bit away from the two that Yamii had chosen to fight. His eyes cast over the area, his senses stretching out and searching again for the energy he had left. It had certainly not been trash, and Ulquiorra was positive that Lord Aizen would be very interested in it. He had a problem, though. The high amount of spiritual pressure that had suddenly appeared on the edge of his senses had disappeared without a trace.

Vanished.

It was almost as if it had never existed, but Ulquiorra knew that he was not one to be mistaken. He had sensed a high amount of spiritual pressure that he was positive could cause quite a few problems for Lord Aizen if it was turned against them. There was no mistaking what he had felt, but he decided it best to return his sight to the battle when the new shinigami showed his face. Ulquiorra only blinked in boredom at him, not once thinking of interfering, and told Yamii that this Kurosaki Ichigo was trash.

His spiritual pressure was nothing compared to his own. He could crush the shinigami if he wished it, but he left the fight to Yamii. His fellow Arrancar seemed delighted with the knowledge that he would be the one to kill him, yet Ulquiorra was slightly surprised when the shinigami took Yamii's arm. His eyes narrowed only slightly, wondering when he felt the boy's spiritual pressure heighten and lower, and a few possibilities of what the shinigami was swept through his mind.

Ulquiorra paused for only a moment, his head turning in the direction he felt the large amount of spiritual pressure appear. His forlorn appearance did not change, but his eyes sparked a bit with the knowledge that he had been correct. There was someone within the area who contained a large amount of power—someone that was not trash. Ulquiorra was sure that Lord Aizen would wish to meet someone with such power, control it, so he took a step toward the energy.

He moved just before the tip of the Zanpak-to could manage to graze him. His eyes slid to the one that had attacked him, and silently gazed into the grinning smile of the man. He filed him away as Ulquiorra watched him grab the edge of his hat and pull it further down over his eyes.

"I'm afraid that I can't allow you to go any further," the man said. "Besides, it would be rude of you to walk out on a battle, wouldn't it?"

Ulquiorra narrowed his eyes at the man, recognizing him to be Urahara Kisuke. He glanced upward to see Yamii going after a dark skinned woman, and he quickly narrowed her down to being Shihouin Yoruichi. He did not move, knowing that his goal had only been to estimate Kurosaki Ichigo's potential and destroy him. He was curious about the powerful spiritual pressure, but dismissed it when it seemed to vanish once more.

Urahara appeared to sense that the Arrancar was not going anywhere, before returning his sight to the second. The large Arrancar had been pretty angry when Benihime had deflected his attack, but Yoruichi quickly drew the Arrancar's attention toward herself while she attended to Orihime. Urahara sighed at the sight of the girl, wishing for a single second that he had come sooner, but decided that now was not the time for guilt to strike him. Especially when he watched the Arrancar before him slide his eyes back toward the direction that he knew the girl was in.

Urahara sighed, because no matter what he did with the girl, she still could not control her spiritual pressure. He had warned her the moment he sensed her, coming into contact, that a few nasty creatures might come after her because of it. It seemed that he was correct, since the Arrancar seemed quite curious in the energy popping in and out of existence.

Summary: N/A [Hitsugaya/Kagome]

Vice-captain of the sixth division stretched her arms above her head, sighing at the feeling. A breeze moved over her, rustling the black and white kimono she wore, along with the red scarf tied loosely around her neck. It whistled through the grass, and the low branches of the nearby trees, but her attention was drawn completely to the clouds rolling over one another high above the (place where shinigami live in Soul Society). Her eyes stared at the sky with longing, while she raised a single knee up to place her foot flat on the ground.

"Hitsugaya," she whispered, her voice wistful.

There were not many things that fascinated this young shinigami. A few of the more common things were well known among many, including: oden, red, flowers, and clouds. Her biggest fascination, though, she knew was much more than that, remained hidden from those that would use it against her. She knew, because the feeling she felt when thinking of Hitsugaya Toshiro, captain of the tenth division, ran much deeper than simple fascination. Yet, she loved to put herself into denial, since she refused to believe that the feeling coursing through her veins would become anything more than fascination.

His image haunted her at the moment, the clouds his canvas, as they twisted and turned until she could see his scowling face among them. She closed her eyes to it for a moment, before opening them again, finding his sea green eyes still staring back at her. A small sigh left her lips, since she could not help but whisper his name again. "Hitsugaya…"

"Kagome," a sly voice echoed her.

Vice-captain Higurashi Kagome nearly jumped out of her skin when she recognized the voice. Startled, she almost toppled over when she sprang upward. Her long hair, pulled back into a decorative ponytail, swished into the air and covered her face as she scrambled for balance. "Rangiku," she muttered darkly, pushing her hands through the thick strands hiding her eyes.

Matsumoto Rangiku smiled coyly at her, her eyes shimmering as she chuckled. "So, Kagome, but in the world are you doing all the way out here?" she asked.

"I could ask you the same thing," Kagome snapped. She did not like it when her peace was interrupted; since Captain Kuchiki did not her give her many breaks. He worked her hard, often times not allowing her any breaks, and she had always wondered if it was because his previous vice-captain, Abarai Renji, had followed Kuchiki Rukia to the human realm. She knew that she was not as good as Renji when it came to fighting, but she considered herself pretty good since she got the vice-captain position, and she was honored that she had.
