Summary: Kagome gains a surprising mate. She learns that despite his size in human form, his lust for her is through the roof.

Genre: ...this was meant to be smut

Rating: M (technically, if it had gotten there)

This piece contains an original character, because I had read a book with smutty dragon goodness and wanted to give it to Kagome

"Explain to me how this happened again?" Sango asked, allowing her eyes to shift to the demon sitting at her friend's side. She allowed herself a moment to blink at him, before his piercing silver eyes glanced in her direction. It was not his eyes that struck her, she had been around Inuyasha's amber ones often enough, but the fact that he did not appear to be of age in order to mate.

"Well," Miroku coughed from her left, "as you know, Sango-san, when a man loves a woman, or in this case a demon loves a woman, they show that love by—"

Sango slapped him behind the head, scowling when she noticed the innocent, pleased grin on his face. "That is not what I meant, monk," she growled. "You know that perfectly well, so keep your lecherous thoughts to yourself."

Miroku continued to grin, saying, "I was only going to say, 'by mating'. I meant no offence, Sango-san, but I thought that you knew all about the mark a demon gives a mate. That was all I was going to add once I had told you my thoughts."

"I know about the mark, Miroku-san," Sango hissed.

Kagome giggled a bit, her eyes sparkling as she watched them argue for a moment. Her attention drifted away when a clawed hand settled onto her knee, however, and she turned a smile at the male sitting at her side. She, too, had not expected the dragon to appear so young when taking on a human form—though she had had doubts at one point that he could take on a human form—but she was not about to let that deter her. He could be a bit too silent for her tastes, but he was kind and treated her well, and she could not deny that her heart picked up speed each time she looked into those delicious silver eyes of his.

The dragon smirked a bit, his hand drawing circles over her skirt. Kagome blushed a little, knowing that despite his young appearance, he knew perfectly well what he was doing to her. She only managed to snap herself away from his stunning gaze when Sango called her name for the fifth time, smiling nervously as her mate's hand slipped away from her. She missed the contact, but she supposed it was better than having butterflies burst in her stomach every few seconds.

"So?" Sango asked.

"I asked Kagome to be my mate and now she is," the dragon sighed. "That is truly all you need to be aware of, slayer."

Sango nearly shook her head, because though the dragon demon had never once said anything impolite, he could sound very rude. She supposed she should not be surprised, considering the fact that he looked as childish as he sounded. "Alright," she replied. "Tell me, then, why you look so young in this form? I've seen quite a few dragon demons in human form and none of them have ever had such a youthful appearance."

Kagome glanced nervously between them. She knew that Sango was only worried, since the demon slayer had never expected her to fall in love with the demon at her side. However, she did not think that Sango needed to challenge him so much, since he was sure to get annoyed, upset, and leave the village for any number of days. After all, he did not look ay older than perhaps fourteen, but he was a demon and had—from what he told her—over three hundred years of experience. And she really did not feel like trying to make him feel better by stroking his ego, since he would remain quite moody until she did so.

A small smirk formed on the dragon's pale lips, before he brought his hand up to brush through his aqua colored hair. His silver eyes caught the slayer's gaze easily, and he replied, "Most demons take on a mortal appearance either to store up energy or to prove their status by being able to do so. Dragons are more prone to doing so in order to store up energy, building up the amount until they reach a certain age. However, unlike most demons, dragons always appear to be the age of a young adolescent human until they reach six hundred years of age because it requires less energy to maintain. This allows a dragon to build up a very large amount of energy before they reach that age, which in turn allows them to grow to a large, formidable size when reverting back to their dragon form."

"Oh? Then are you calling me a liar?" Sango asked, narrowing her eyes. She did not think the dragon was a bad demon, especially if Kagome loved him so much, but she did not like the way he treated everyone else. He doted on Kagome, bringing her pieces of his treasure trove and showering her with affection, but only when they were alone. Sango almost huffed with the thought, but knew that it was true, considering Kagome always showed her the little trinkets and told her how well the dragon treated her. "Or perhaps there is another reason why you choose such a young appearance? After all, you're quite large in your dragon form already, aren't you, Takayuki?"

"Actually, slayer," Takayuki said, "I would never call you a liar, considering I would know almost instantly if you were lying to me."

"And my other question?" Sango pressed.

Miroku sighed, placing his hand onto Sango's shoulder. He said, "Sango-san, I really do not think that now is the time to be—" He did not finish his sentence, because Sango sent him a chilling glance and shrugged his hand away from her. Miroku blinked, but decided that now was not the time to try and make Sango stop acting like an angry mother on a rampage. She was quite threatening, after all, and he did not wish for her wrath upon him at that time.

"I am within my growing stage and will be for the next few hundred years. My size will double, at least, before the stage is complete, so I choose to store enough energy to make sure that happens—"

Sango looked ready to protest his words, since when they had met, the dragon had been in his demon form most of the time. He had been like most dragons, bathing in the sun and staying far enough from humans that he would not be disturbed. But, his next words forced her to swallow her own, since it had been what she wanted him to admit.

"And," Takayuki chuckled lightly, turning his attention to the woman at his side, "my mate finds my human appearance adorable. I think it is a bonus to stay this way if she continues to show me as much affection as she has previously. Not only that, but I would never deprive my mate of something she enjoys."

Miroku's eyes lit up at Kagome's blush. He went to speak, but the words were knocked out of him by Sango's hand. So, he chose to rub at the back of his skull, wishing the slayer did not notice his actions so much subconsciously. His head would never be the same after so many blows.

Kagome allowed the dragon to tuck a stand of hair behind her ear, before muttering, "It's not my fault you're so adorably handsome." She paused, before saying, "And it's also not my fault that you allow it."

Takayuki leaned closer to her, stroking her hair a bit for good measure, "I would never deny you something you wish for, mate. And I will try my hardest to keep this handsome face that you're so fond of once I have reached the end of my growth."

"You don't have to do that, Takayuki," she smiled. "I'm positive you'll be just as handsome once you stop growing and take on a more mature human appearance."

The dragon growled softly, his nose twitching as he continued to stroke her hair. Her scent drifted up into his head, drowning him in a refreshing mixture of rain and an endless forest that had never been touched by man. He resisted the urge to bury his face into her neck, wanting to bathe himself in her scent, and wondered when he had lost so much control. Especially when her arousal wafted up into his nose, causing him to shift a bit when his body reacted to his female's need. His silver eyes closed halfway, and he watched as Kagome blushed deeply from the look he cast her.

Sango glanced between them, a faint tint of red coating her cheeks when she recognized the look the dragon had. She had warned Kagome about a dragon's high sex drive once they gained a mate. They were always rutting, trying to overcome the fact that they had a low rate of children produced each year. And it appeared that though Kagome was human, Takayuki was more than willing to use his high sex drive to his advantage. It also appeared that Kagome would never truly know what a nice, long sleep was again.
