Saiyans on the Grandline
"Mmmm. Man this is the best. I can't believe we just stumbled onto a place like this in the middle of nowhere." Mina hummed happily lying on a lounge chair in a bikini. "Wish I could take my stupid top off though. I prefer coming to places like this topless, especially when they allow it."
"There's no rules saying you can't." Robin said.
"I know, but with Sanji and the perverted Skeleton around, I don't feel safe." Mina said.
"It is what it is." Nami said. "But you have to admit, I never expected to find anything like this, when we sailed through the Florian Triangle. It's absolutely fabulous."
"I couldn't agree more." Robin smiled.
"I second that," Mina smiled.
"I'm so glad you find our accommodations to your liking." The owner of the resort said. "On Spa Island, we proudly host 10 Heated Swimming Pools, three simulated river pools, and pools dedicated to diving. We also have waterfalls for meditation, cola baths, milk baths, you name it. There are more then fifty varieties of spas available. For those who enjoy playing games, we have in pool table tennis, as well as an in pool casino. As for food, our restaurant has top cuisine from the best chefs from all around the world, in gigantic proportions. Our top priority is the pleasure of our guests, and I, Doran, the proprietor here, find my own pleasure making sure this happens. On occasion, some guests are lucky enough to witness Rainbows and Candy Rain at our establishment as well."
"Candy Rain? Let me guess, another phenomenon of the Grandline's weather patterns?" Mina inquired.
"Oh yeah, I've heard of that. It's some kind of natural occurrence that some people call the Gem of the ocean, right?" Nami asked.
"But there hasn't been a confirmed sighting of that phenomenon, in quite some time." Robin added.
"Which is why I noted, that the guests that do see them, are quite lucky." Doran said, before noticing Nami looking around. "Is something wrong?"
"I believe we're about to be some of those, lucky guests." Nami smiled.
"Surely you jest." Doran laughed.
"She's not joking. She's our ship's navigator, and can tell when the weather is gonna change." Mina smiled.
"It's hard to believe you made this place, way out here yourself." Robin said, putting her drink down. "That must have been quite a task."
"It was, but when you bring in over 10Billion Berries a year in profits, and become an officially recognized resort by the World Government, it makes it all worthwhile." Doran said. "We also have a highly sophisticated security team, so civilians can enjoy themselves, without a care in the world. It truly is a paradise." He smiled, before he walked behind their chairs.
"Over 10Billion Berries a year?" Nami questioned.
"An' of course, Pirates can relax here as well." Doran said. "Though I must say, I've never seen pirates with children before."
"Yeah well, there's no way we were gonna leave our daughter in the hands of the World Government." Mina said. "Call us crazy, but we don't exactly trust an organization, that's trying to take over the world, and make everyone the same."
"But we do appreciate that we can relax here, none the less." Robin said.
"Of course Ma'am. I just felt I needed to point that out. Pirates, Civilians, it doesn't matter. So long as you're a paying customer, you can consider yourself safe and able to relax here." Doran said, before walking away.
"I'd say he's a man after your own heart Nami, wouldn't you agree?" Mina asked.
"Berries, berries. Berries, berries, berries."
"I think that's a yes." Robin smiled.
"Well, I'm hitting the steam room." Mina said. "At least there, I can go topless."
~Diving Boards~
"Alright Eri, you can do it. I know it looks scary, but I promise you'll be fine." Kaen said, wadding around in the water.
Up on the highest diving board, stood Eri with floaties on her arms, dressed in her single piece swimsuit and her Duplication Void Fanny Pack, trying to look brave with her cheeks puffed out.
"Kaen, are you sure it was okay for her to climb up the highest diving board?" Ussop asked.
"She was adamant about jumping off it, and when a Saiyan has their mind set on something, they won't stop until they do it." Kaen sighed. "She still thinks she has to prove herself to stay on the crew, but she's don't that more then enough times."
"I'm gonna go have some fun with Luffy and Chopper." Ussop said.
"I'm coming down Papa." Eri called out, right before she jumped off the diving board.
"Alright you're doing great Eri." Kaen smiled, before the little girl landed straight in the water.
Staying under the water, Eri swam towards Kaen, before popping up, and wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Gotcha Papa."
"Ah, you got me." Kaen laughed, grabbing her in a hug and spinning her around, before it got cloudy and something landed on his head. "What the?"
Looking up, Eri saw the clouds, and opened her mouth, with one of the falling pieces landing on her tongue.
"Papa, it's raining candy." Eri smiled. "This one's sour apple flavored."
"Hey Kaen, come take a look at Luffy." Ussop called out.
Kaen and Eri turned to where the others were, and laughed when they saw Luffy's jaw stretched out like a pelican, filled to the brim with candy.
"Guess chlorinated water doesn't have an effect on Devil Fruit users." The Saiyan laughed. "Come on, let's go down the slide."
"Okay Papa, but give me a sec." Eri said, using an empty swear jar to catch as much candy as it could hold.
"Now you're not gonna eat that all in one sitting, are you?" Kaen asked.
"No Papa. I'm only gonna save it for treat time." Eri smiled, closing the lid on the full jar and putting it in her pouch.
Taking to the air, Kaen and Eri lined up for the water slide, but the line was very short, as they climbed to the top, before going down in a tube together.
"Let's go." Kaen smiled, going down the slide.
Traveling down, Eri and Kaen let out screams of joy as their speed picked up, before Luffy, Ussop, and Chopper followed them down. But close behind them, was a little girl on a sea horse looking thing, that zipped past them.
When they reached the bottom, Kaen and Eri landed with a splash while the trio were flat on their faces, with the little girl laughing at them.
"What a bunch of dummies, you're funny." The girl laughed, as the trio picked themselves up.
"Hey, what is that?" Ussop questioned, spotting Eri looking at the seahorse creature curiously, before she jumped back as it let off a puff of smoke, transforming into a raccoon with a sea creature's tail.
"Oh, you mean this guy? That's Nukki, he's a sea raccoon. He can transform into anything." The little girl said, before Nukki transformed into a penguin, and then a red sparrow.
"That's awesome." Ussop and Luffy said, making the girl laugh, before Nukki transformed back into his normal form.
"He just said that this girl's name is Rina." Chopper stated.
"It's a talking Raccoon-Dog." Rina gasped.
"I am not a Raccoon-Dog. I'm a Reindeer." Chopper countered.
"Easy there Chopper. She didn't mean anything by it." Kaen chuckled. "So who are you here with Rina?"
"I'm here with my…" Rina stopped when her stomach growled loudly.
"Sounds like you're hungry." Luffy said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out some meat, and giving it to her. "Here, this is the official meal of a Pirate Captain."
"Pirate?" Rina gasped. "You mean you guys are…?"
"That's right. We're the Straw Hat Pirates." Kaen smiled.
"I'm Luffy, Captain of the crew."
"I'm Chopper, the Ship's Doctor."
"I'm Ussop, the Sniper."
"An' I'm Kaen, the Martial Artist of the crew. This here is my daughter Eri, she's what you'd call the Mascot of the Crew." Kaen smirked, putting a hand on Eri's head.
"Nice to meet you." Eri smiled.
"Nice to meet you too. I guess even silly people can become pirates. I thought all pirates were scary. Thanks for the food." Rina smiled before the paused.
"What's the matter?" Kaen asked.
"I wonder if my big sister wants some food to."
"Would that be her over there, messing with the controls?" Kaen inquired, pointing to a brunet haired girl.
"That is her." Rina said, as she went to her sister. "Hey, Sayo!" She called out.
A short while later, Rina and Sayo were having their fill of food. Rina was gorging herself, while Sayo was eating slowly, not too interested in interacting with them.
"Quite the appetite you got there Rina." Nami said.
"She's almost as gluttonous as Eri." Ussop said, before he was chopped on the head. "What was that for?" He questioned, turning around, only to find it was one of Robin's arms growing out of his back.
"Never insult a girl on her weight, especially an impressionable child." Robin said.
"Yes Ma'am." Ussop said with a bow, scared of the death glare she was giving him.
"So what brings you two to Spa Island?" Kaen asked. "This place isn't exactly a hot spot for unattended children. Where are your parents, can we find them at one of the pools or facilities here?"
"We're alone." Rina said. "It's been that way for three years, and that's all I'm gonna say."
"I see, so you two don't have anyone to take care of you, but why are you here?" Kaen questioned, while the others were preoccupied with Nukki.
"Papa's good at helping people. He can help you if you're in trouble." Eri said.
Kaen just sat across from the two, before he put a hand on their heads, and using his Ki read through their thoughts.
"I see. You're searching for a clue of some kind your father left in his journal, is that it?" He asked, removing his hands.
"How did you know?"
"One's mind is easy to read as a book. You just need to know how to do so." Kaen smiled. "Listen, from what I've seen of your memories, those research notes are valuable, and if this Silver Fox guy is coming after you for them, your best bet is to stay with us until it's settled." He explained. "I know that we're a bunch of pirates that you just met, but I think you'll find it shocking to know, I was once a licensed hero."
"A licensed hero, what's that?" Rina asked.
"Well, not officially licensed, just a provisional license. But what I mean is, it was my job to keep people safe, and protect them from danger. I can protect you two, if you'll let me." Kaen said.
Sayo and Rina just looked at each other, before looking back at Kaen.
"I think it's time we left." Sayo said, getting up from her seat.
"Kaen, what was that about Silver Fox?" Robin asked.
"Something I read in their memories. Why?"
"I think we might know him." Robin explained. "We had a run in with a man with the same name, some time ago before we met Franky or you."
"I see." Kaen said, before an annoying laugh echoed through the air, and caught their attention.
"It's about time we caught up with you two. You're so troublesome, you made us chase after you all the way out here." A split haired, long nosed man with an accent said. "Hold on, I'm seeing more familiar faces around here. So this is where you've been hiding my Rival. It's been a long time, Straw Hat Luffy."
"Huh? Do I know you?" Luffy questioned.
"Now's not the time for pleasantries Luffy." Kaen said, getting up from his seat. "Eri, you know what to do with Rina and Sayo?"
"Yes Papa." Eri said, before grabbing both girls hands, and pulling them away. "This way, hurry."
"Oh, I see you've got another new crewmate added to your ranks. Well let's see just how tough, he really is." Fox said.
"I wouldn't mess with Kaen if I were you Fox." Chopper said. "Kaen took down Gecko Moria, with a single punch to the gut."
"I doubt that. Gecko Moria is as strong as Emperor Kaido." Fox said, before he was hit in the face with Kaen's stone hardened fist, and with a Ki blast to boost the force of his punch, he caused an explosion, and sent Fox flying into his two subordinates, and across the surface of Spa Island, several hundred feet off the edge and over the sea, before he appeared right above them, and with an axe kick, sent them down into the ocean below.
Flying back to Spa Island, Kaen sighed in relaxation as he cracked his neck, before he went to where Eri hid herself and the two other girls. Though it wasn't much of a hiding spot
"Really Eri?" Kaen asked, not all too amused at his daughter's choice of a hiding place for the three of them.
"What Papa?" Eri questioned poking her head out.
"Hiding behind the umbrella pole isn't a proper hiding spot." Kaen sighed. "You were wanting to stick close to the action, weren't you?"
"Yeah." Eri said.
"Look Eri, I know you wanna stick close to the fighting, but being a hero means one thing, the safety of innocent civilians, especially those targeted by villains, is top priority." Kaen explained. "I get it, you're anxious for a fight, it's in your blood. But you're also the daughter of a hero, and the granddaughter of a very important hero."
"Grandpa Toshi?" Eri asked.
"Uh… how did you…?"
"I saw him change once from normal, to buff, while you were on your Internship." Eri smiled holding up her arms in a flex position. "He went from Grandpa Toshi, to All Might in a second."
"Guess the secret's out. But don't tell Mama, she doesn't need to know just yet. I haven't even told her, the secret behind my Quirk, and yours for that matter." Kaen smiled, putting a finger in front of his lips in a hush motion.
"Okay Papa." Eri smiled.
"Who's All Might?" Robin asked.
"The strongest Hero, on our planet." Kaen said. "An' Eri and I both have the same Quirk as him."
"How strong is All Might?" Sanji asked.
"With his strength, if he were to use it on a fault line past 100%, he'd destroy the entire planet." Kaen stated. "But he wouldn't do anything like that."
"Any how would you know?" Ussop inquired.
"Because he's the greatest hero, my world has ever seen." Kaen said. "Plus… he's also my old man."
"He's what?" The Straw Hat crew questioned in shock.
"But hold on, wouldn't that make you only a half Saiyan?" Chopper asked.
"Well, he's not my old man by blood. But rather, after he found my aunt with me and my siblings, he started out helping her to take care of us, and sometime before my sister and I even turned a year old, he got married to our aunt, who became our mother through adoption." Kaen explained.
"I see. But how do you have the same power as your adopted father?" Robin asked.
"Long story!" Kaen sighed. "Short version for me, is history repeating itself, for Eri it's my sister using her Xerox Quirk to make a copy of my Quirk's core, and giving it to her after combining it with White Wrath."
"You can explain it more when we've settled things here." Nami said, turning to the two girls. "You two, sit yourselves down, and explain what Foxy and his crew want with you, right now."
"My what a glorious bath that was." Brook said, as he came and joined the crew with Franky. "My skin's sparkling and squeaky clean. Or it would be if I had any skin."
"Ah, a walking talking skeleton." Rina said.
"Brook can also sing." Eri smiled.
"It's fine. Brook ate the Revive-Revive Fruit, so he's just like this, because it took about a year for his soul to return to his body." Kaen explained.
"Now let's get down to business." Nami said. "That journal you're holding, that's what Foxy is after, isn't it?"
"Foxy?" Rina questioned.
"That pirate my Papa just beat up." Eri smiled.
"He doesn't like us, but I don't think that we were his target." Nami said.
"You'd be right Nami." Kaen said. "His target were these two, or at least the notebook."
"So that must mean, you girls are hiding something important in that notebook." Nami finished. "I'm right, aren't I?" She asked with a smile, noticing the looks the two were giving each other.
"Yeah, you're right." Rina stated. "The notebook has special instructions on how to make a gem."
"Whoa, did you say make a gem?" Nami asked.
"That sounds so cool." Eri said.
"Rina wait…" Sayo began, trying to stop her sister.
"It's okay, just leave everything to me." Rina said. "I know these people are pirates, but they're different. I think we can put our trust in them, and they're strong. If you and I try to handle this alone, I'm starting to think we won't be able to pull it off at all."
Sayo looked to her sister, before looking to the notebook in her hands, then up at the pirates in front of them, before giving Rina the notebook to give to the pirates.
"Here, this is our Daddy's notebook." Rina said.
"No way, these are scientific formulas." Kaen said, looking over the pages. "I see, so the creation of the gem, would be through the means of science, specifically chemistry."
"Our Daddy was an inventor, and those were all his formulas." Rina stated. "Plus the directions for making that gem I told you about."
"Do you two even know what all this stuff means?" Nami asked, taking a look at the notebook.
"Sayo knows how to read it, I don't have a clue as to what any of it means." Rina said.
"That's pretty incredible Sayo. You remind me of my sister when we were your age." Kaen chuckled. "She was able to read chemical formulas like these by the time we were five. I caught on much later though. Still pretty cool."
"We?" Rina asked.
"My sister and I are twins I was born before her." Kaen smiled.
"Hey wait, there's also a sea chart map inside here." Nami said, finding the map after flipping the pages.
"That steam thing looks important." Ussop said.
"Nami, doesn't the topography on this map look familiar?" Kaen asked.
"Hey you're right. The Steam and X are located right where Spa Island is." Nami said.
"That's the secret memo. We think it's a hint to how the gem is made." Rina said.
"Yeah, seriously?" Nami questioned.
"The stuff in that notebook is supposed to be 99% of everything you need to make it." Rina stated.
"So this little map, is a clue to the other 1%?" Ussop asked.
"That's right." Sayo said.
"Well, given how the topography is on the map, we should be right at the location it leads to." Nami stated. "But I don't see how this place would help."
"Hold on, maybe what they're looking for isn't on the island." Kaen suggested.
"What do you mean?" Sayo asked.
"Science involves a lot of complicated and big variables at times. Think about it, what would be needed to power the steam producing machinery of Spa Island?" Kaen questioned.
"A crap ton of heat, that's for sure." Sanji said.
"But where would the island get that much energy and heat for powering Spa Island?" Robin asked.
"Lava Tubes." Kaen said. "Specifically, from an active underwater volcano."
"But how would that work?" Sayo asked. "A volcano's opening isn't X shaped."
"I bet you anything that this one is." Kaen smiled. "Things can be unpredictable on the Grand Line."
"Like the Candy Rain?" Eri asked.
"Exactly." Kaen smirked. "An' if Foxy went through this much trouble to follow these two out here, then the gem has got to be real."
"It might be a fake." Rina said, and upset and angered look on her face.
"Rina."
"In fact I'm positive this thing's a fake." Rina stated. "Dad doesn't know how to make a gem."
"What did you say?" Ussop asked.
"Our Daddy was a moron, and a big fat liar." Rina said angrily, clutching the notebook tight. "He was such an idiot I hate him. He never did anything right, and this is the same."
There was a tense moment of silence, before Rina began to speak in a calmer voice, having allowed herself to cool off enough to not get so upset, especially in front of a group of pirates she didn't know much about.
"Dad loved our village, and he was proud to live there, because that was the place our mom was born." Rina stated. "When he told us that his research was about making gems, he just laughed when I told him they were something you find, and that it was impossible to make them."
"You're old man sounds really funny." Luffy smiled, joining in on the conversation.
"He's not funny. He's an awful scientist, and an awful dad." Rina said, getting angry again. "Three years ago, he left home to do some research. But he never came back. He abandoned us, just like that. So we lived there together, just the two of us. People made fun of us, but we ignored them, and made the best of things. I couldn't help but think, Daddy isn't here anymore, he must have died. Then one month ago, Nukki came back to us out of nowhere with that notebook in his mouth. We found a letter folded up, and stuck inside. You know what it said? It said, dear daughters, please complete the research that I began. Isn't that the dumbest thing? He left us to go who knows where, and he never came back, and now we're here risking our lives to do the same thing, because he asked us to. I hate that stupid man, he left us behind to go chase some crazy dream he has. I bet this map is just as fake as that gem is. Why is the last part a clue? It's like some sort of lame test."
"Hey, that's enough, okay?" Kaen said, in a calming voice. "Listen, I get that you feel your father's work is stupid, but at least you'll get to see him again some day."
Kaen knelt down to look Rina in the eye, a soft smile on his face, and an understanding glint in his gaze.
"Your father only wanted what was best for you, it was important to him, and he trusted you enough to keep the research safe, and out of the wrong hands, like Foxy." Kaen stated. "The last time I spoke with my father, he and I had an argument, and that was weeks ago. I never got to make things right with him, and I'm not sure I ever will. But I know deep down, that he's aware I still love him, despite the screw up that caused our fight to begin with, and he still loves me. So keep your chin up, and smile. In this, or any world, the ones always smiling, are the ones who are the strongest." He said with a big smile on his face.
"Gem making sounds pretty cool, I wanna see one." Luffy said with his own smile.
"What? But wait, were you even listening to what I was saying?" Rina asked.
"Kaen, there you are."
The crew looked to the side and smiled when they saw Mina coming back with Zoro, both of them dressed in their normal clothes.
"Just waking up, eh Zoro?" Luffy asked.
"I'm talking to you." Rina huffed.
"If it's so stupid, why are you here looking for it in the first place?" Ussop asked.
"I'm not looking for it, my sister is. I'm only here as her body guard." Rina said.
"Do you have Devil Fruit powers?" Eri asked.
"No."
"Can you fight with martial arts?"
"No."
"Can you use any weapons?"
"No."
"Can you use Ki?" Eri questioned, forming a Ki ball in her hand.
"No of course not, what even is Ki?"
"Some bodyguard." Eri said, sounding very unimpressed.
"Hey."
"Now-now Eri, that's enough teasing her." Kaen said. "It's a brave and noble thing Rina's doing, acting as her big sister's bodyguard."
"Hey, what's going on over here?" Zoro asked.
"There was a loud explosion, and a burst of Ki earlier. Was that you Kaen?" Mina asked.
"No, it's true there is a way to create that gem." Sayo said, before anyone could respond to Zoro's question. "No matter what you say, I believe him."
"Big sister." Rina said as Sayo turned to look at her.
"Listen, everyone please save…"
Before Sayo could say anymore, the ground beneath her opened up, suspending her in air for a millisecond, before she was grabbed by Eri, and pulled away. But the momentum used carried Eri into the pit, sending her falling to where Sayo was supposed to be.
"Eri." Kaen shouted, catching Sayo in his arms, while Franky picked Rina up off the ground for her own protection, before a laugh echoed through the air.
"I have the girl. Now, if you want to see her again, you'll do just as I say." Doran's voice came from the transponder snail in the palm tree above them.
"Who the heck is Doran?" Chopper asked.
"He's the owner and proprietor of Spa Island." Robin stated.
"What the hell is he doing?" Sanji questioned.
"I'm really starting to wish Eri hadn't snuck Cerberus into Pinach's bag before he left Thriller Bark." Kaen growled.
"Doran!" Mina growled. "I swear, if you don't return my daughter to me right now, my husband and I will destroy every inch of Spa Island."
"Ah-ah-ah. Temper, temper." Doran said. "As I said, if you wanna see her alive again, you'll do exactly as I tell you."
"Bastard." Kaen glared, the ground beneath their feet trembling, with the only one unaffected by this trembling, being the Saiyan himself.
"All of you are gonna search for that clue in the notebook for me." Doran stated. "If you find it, I'll give back the girl. "Fail to find it, and she's shark food."
"Holy crap on a stick. Foxy wasn't the only one after the gem." Ussop cried in panic.
"It's more then likely, that he and Doran were working together to get their hands on the gem." Kaen said as the ground stopped shaking, before taking the notebook from Rina.
"Hey." Rina cried out, as Kaen tossed the notebook.
"Mina, keep this safe. You know where to put it."
"Got it babe." Mina said, catching the notebook and sticking it in her Duplication Void.
"Between her huge knockers is not a safe place for the notebook." Sayo said.
"Luffy, what are we gonna do?" Ussop asked their captain, Nukki desperately clawing at the ground Eri disappeared into.
"As a chart maker myself, I can say for sure that the chart in the notebook doesn't tell us very much." Nami said.
"Captain, I know it's your call but…"
"Not another word Kaen." Luffy stated. "Eri might be your daughter, but she is also a member of our crew. We will get her back."
"What's the plan then?" Ussop asked.
"Let's follow Mina's advice, and destroy this ship." Luffy smirked.
"WHAT?" The rest of the group, minus Mina and Kaen, shouted in questioning.
"Whoa, but what about Eri?" Ussop asked.
"Eri's a Saiyan, just like her parents. So she'll be more then capable of surviving the destruction of this ship." Luffy said.
"Plus if she lands in the water, she can use her flying abilities to jet through them, unless she ate a Devil Fruit back on Thriller Bark, then there might be some trouble." Kaen said.
"Either way, Kaen and I are getting our daughter back, no room for arguing." Mina stated.
"An' what of the hint of the gem?" Robin asked.
"The more we destroy, the easier it will be to look for it, right?" Luffy questioned.
"You hear that Doran?" Kaen questioned with a smirk. "You really didn't think this through. We're the Straw Hat Pirates, we don't really do anything that doesn't involve destroying something."
"Then let's get started." Luffy smirked. "Franky, you handle the Sunny."
"No problem." Franky smirked, bringing down his shades, running for the docking bay for the ships.
"This is why we can't have nice stuff." Nami sighed in defeat, with Robin just chuckling.
"Mina, you follow Franky and get Sayo and Rina to the Sunny." Kaen said.
"You got it Hun." Mina smiled, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Get our daughter back, and kick that bastard's ass for me."
"Will do." Kaen smirked, cracking his knuckles, and rotating his shoulders to loosen them up.
"Right, let's break stuff." Luffy cheered, with Mina taking the two girls in her arms, and flying over the edge of the island, heading straight for the port.
"180 Caliber Phoenix." Zoro cried out, slicing up a part of the island with his signature attack.
Sanji went spinning like a saw blade into one of the pools and broke through the bottom, flooding and tearing apart the lower levels.
"Gum-Gum Whip." Luffy cried out, destroying all the food stalls.
"Tabasco Star." Ussop called out, firing his attack at the oncoming security forces of Spa Island.
"Cloven Roséo." Chopper called out in Jumping Point, destroying more of the food stalls.
"Now, Thunderbolt Tempo." Nami cried out, hitting more of the security guards with a weather attack.
"An' Clutch." Robin said, bending some of the guards the wrong way.
"Three Verse Humming: Arrow Notch Slash." Brook said, sheathing his blade, as he used it on some more of the guards.
"Kamehame-HAAAAAA." Kaen cried out from up in the air, destroying half of one side of the ship with his attack.
"Give Eri back to us." Luffy shouted, destroying more of the ship, with a Gum-Gum Axe attack.
Down in the stairwell, Mina ran ahead of Franky, with her weapons hot and ready.
"Aura Zone." Mina called out, as the area around them, and the guards gained a tint of pink. "Lightning Flash." She cried out, as she struck each of the guards with the dull edges of her blades. "Come on, we're almost to the Sunny." Mina said.
The chaos and carnage of destruction continued as the crew were adamant about Doran giving Eri back to them.
"Hey, give her back already." Luffy shouted.
"You damned lunatics." Doran shouted, his voice echoing through the air.
There was a moment of silence among the chaos, as the chimney became taller, before it fell forward, revealing it was one giant cannon, pointed directly to the bow of the ship.
"Holy crap, a cannon, I thought it was a chimney." Ussop said.
"I was wondering how Doran kept the island from being plundered by non-friendly pirates." Kaen glared.
"Kaen, look to the shack on the bow."
Kaen turned his head towards the bow, and saw Eri tied to a post, struggling against her bindings, while starring down the barrel of the cannon, that was pointed right at her.
"ERI." Kaen shouted, moving to run for her.
"Not another step." Doran declared.
"Bastard." Kaen growled.
"What a coward, holding her hostage like that." Sanji cursed.
"You think I'm gonna sit around, and let you destroy my ship? Think again." Doran questioned. "Do you pirates have any concept of how much time, money, and resources it took to build Spa Island?" He asked as he aimed the cannon higher then Eri, and fired off a shot, showing how powerful the cannon was.
"This guy's gone way too far." Sanji stated.
"Let her go." Chopper shouted.
"ERI." Kaen called out, allowing One-for-All, to course through him.
"This little girl's about to go flying." Doran said with a sinister laugh as he aimed the cannon at Eri again. "At first, I was just going to wait, and let you solve the notebook mystery for me. But it's too late for that now. Hand it over, and I'll return the girl unharmed."
"Not gonna be possible." Zoro said. "We sent our crewmate keeping the notebook safe, back to our ship with the two girls the notebook belongs to."
"Even if we had the notebook with us, we still wouldn't give it to you." Chopper stated.
"Huh, what's that?" Doran questioned. "Fine then, I guess this little girl isn't as important to you, as I thought." He growled, preparing to fire a shot right at Eri.
"Detroit: SMASH." Kaen shouted, slamming his fist into the side of the cannon, forcing the weapon to bend from the impact, and creak from the sudden instability.
Doran's eyes widened and his jaw dropped as Kaen flew up from the indent he made and the cannon, and landed on the surface in front of the spa owner, creating another indent from his landing position. To Doran's shock, Eri was also on his back, with a smirk on her face.
"You thought, you could make us give you the notebook, by holding my daughter hostage?" Kaen questioned, a menacing aura surrounding him as he got to his feet, and grabbed Doran.
The villainous owner looked at him in shock, as the silhouette of a human sized Oozaru's head formed behind Kaen's left shoulder, holding the same menacing glare the Saiyan had in his eyes.
"You're gonna learn, just what it means to piss of a Saiyan Warrior." Kaen growled.
"A Saiyan?" Doran questioned.
The man might have only barely been out of his childhood when he first heard of the war against the Saiyan invaders almost twenty years ago, but the news he read about of how strong they were, haunted his dreams to this very day.
"Papa." Eri said, patting his shoulder.
"Right, I know Eri. I know." Kaen sighed. "Luckily for you, I don't wanna scar my daughter with the sight of me loosing my cool more then I already have. So for now, I'm just gonna leave you with this." He growled, pulling back his fist.
Doran looked on in shock, before he was knocked unconscious, by a punch to the face that broke his glasses, and left him with a black eye.
"Papa's still my hero." Eri smiled, hugging his neck from behind.
"Kaen. We've gotta go. He released all the ships ballasts before you knocked him out." Luffy called out. "Why don't you finish the island off, with a Kamehameha Wave?"
"Is everyone cleared?" Kaen questioned.
"Robin's taken them all to the ship bellow, let her rip." Luffy cheered, before jumping off the ledge, and falling to the Sunny in the water bellow.
"What do you say Kitten, wanna help your old man destroy what's left of Spa Island?" Kaen asked.
"Yes." Eri smiled.
Flying high into the air, Eri hopped off Kaen's back, and flew next to him, one of her hands, cupping over his, both of them making the two halves of the attack.
"Ka-me…" Kaen began as they powered up the attack.
"Ha-me…" Eri continued with a big smile on her face.
"Ha-me…"
"HAAAAA…" They cried out together, thrusting their arms forward, and sending the massive attack towards the stationary ship.
The attack hit the ship dead on, destroying what remained as he and Eri finished the attack off.
Eri however, wasn't doing so well, as she began to fall, having used up all the energy she could. Kaen noticed Eri was falling and chased after her, his chase being stalled by the debri they were both going through, before he caught her, and landed in the water with Eri held tight in his arms. Opening his eyes, Kaen saw that the ship was connected to an underwater volcano, with the opening of said volcano, looking like a giant X.
Smirking as he saw this, Kaen flew up and out of the water, landing with Eri in his arms, and a the smirk still on his face.
"Ha, I knew it." Kaen smiled, as Eri began to wake up.
"Papa?" Eri questioned.
"Well, look who's awake." Kaen said.
"Eri, Kaen." Mina said, coming to their sides. "Oh, I was so worried."
"What were you right about Kaen?" Nami asked.
"The underwater volcano. It is shaped like a giant X." Kaen stated. "Take a look."
Sayo and Rina looked over the railing, and gasped when they saw the X at the bottom of the sea.
"It's the X, and it's gigantic." Sayo gasped.
"I saw it when I was underwater. Took the brunt of the fall, which is gonna sting for a while, but if Eri's safe, then that's all that matters." Kaen smiled.
"Imagine that. Doran built his island ship right on top of the clue to the treasure he'd been searching for." Nami smiled.
"If you ask me, for it to be right under his nose, and not realize it, makes him a first rate idiot." Mina smirked.
The ocean began to quake and tremble as the underwater volcano erupted, creating a torrent of water shooting upwards, and creating a round rainbow over their heads.
"Would you look at that." Kaen smiled.
"Pretty." Eri said.
"Look at that, a round rainbow." Nami said in awe.
"I've never seen a round rainbow before." Chopper said.
"Me either." Brook added.
"Ha-ha-ha. I don't know what it means, but I like it." Luffy smirked while Franky whistled at the beauty of it.
"Hey, hold on just a second. Do you think that rainbow's the gem he was talking about?" Ussop questioned.
"Well now that I think about it, round rainbows are known as the Gem of the Sea." Nami added.
"No way." Rina said.
"Hold up, I don't know how rainbows are here, but are their colors supposed to be inverted like that?" Mina asked.
"Inverted?" Nami inquired.
"She's right. The colors are in the opposite order." Kaen said.
"The orders backwards?" Sayo asked. "Wait, I think I know what that means. Hold on, where's the notebook?"
"Right here." Mina smiled, pulling the notebook from her chest, and giving it to Sayo.
"Thank you." Sayo smiled. "I believe, I know what the clue really is."
~1 Week Later~
"Hey guys, we've got a bird coming right at us from the east." Kaen said, spotting the flying creature coming towards their ship.
The seagull came flying down, and in a puff of pink smoke, turned into a sea raccoon.
"Hey, it's Nukki." Eri smiled, as the sea creature landed on Kaen shoulder.
"What's up little guy? Rina and Sayo doing okay?" Kaen asked.
Nukki nodded and smiled, before showing him the container on his neck.
"Hey, what's that?" Luffy asked.
"It's a letter from Rina and Sayo." Kaen said. "It looks like Sayo's theory was right. They created the gem, by putting the chemical compounds for their father's experiments, in the same color coordinated order as the round rainbow back at Spa Island."
"Really? Where is it then?" Ussop asked.
"Do you have it little guy?" Kaen inquired, looking to Nukki.
"Nukki." The sea raccoon smiled, dropping a marble gem out of his mouth into Kaen's hand.
"Oh, it's so pretty and shiny." Eri said, her eyes filled with wonder.
"It sure is. They said that as a thanks for saving their lives, we are allowed to keep the first one they made." Kaen smiled looking at the letter, before his eyes widened in confusion. "Uh Nukki… Pop-pop-pow?"
The crew looked at him strangely, before Nukki transformed into a sea raccoon with a second head, and the head spat out two rings, made of the same gem as the marble.
"Wait, what just happened?"
"Rina wrote this part directly to me." Kaen said. "She told me to say, pop-pop-pow to Nukki for a special surprise she and Sayo made for me and Mina."
"An' that surprise was?" Brook asked.
"Wedding bands." Mina said, looking at the rings while putting hers on. "They're beautiful."
"An' they're both made from the same gemstone they artificially made. Apparently they're putting the duplicated Duplication Pack, Mina gave them, to good use for more then just food and water when traveling. They're using it to create an endless supply of ingredients for creating the gem." Kaen said, putting his wedding band on, before writing on a piece of paper, and putting it in the letter container. "Get going home little guy." He smiled, sending Nukki off.
It was a moment later, when thunder clouds began to form over them.
"Mina, put this in your Duplication Void. We don't wanna lose it among the candy rain." Kaen said, handing her the gem, as candy began to fall from the sky.
"Yay, more candy rain." Eri cheered, setting up five empty jars. "This is my favorite weather."
"Chopper." Kaen sighed. "How good are you at dental work?"
