Saiyans on the Grandline
"Kizaru." Kaen called out, throwing a punch at the mental image of Kizaru, before having to duck down to evade a strike from the mental image of Kuma. This however, resulted in Kaen getting hit in the stomach by Kizaru's sacred sword, like it was a baseball bat with Kizaru going for a homerun swing.
"Stop." Oozaru called to him.
The mental scape changed from Sabaody, to the inside of the USJ where he first obtained the One-for-All core that gave him his strength similar to All Might's.
"Young Master. Are you alright?" Asura questioned, coming to his side.
"I'll be fine. I wasn't hurt too badly." Kaen groaned, sitting on the ground.
"You're lucky, because if that had been the real Kizaru, you'd have been cut clean in half like a club sandwich." The humanoid ape said.
"I just don't know what I'm doing wrong in this image training." Kaen said.
"You're not doing anything wrong." Oozaru said. "The fact of the matter is, even at your full strength, Kizaru is just that much stronger then you."
"But I don't understand how he's that much stronger then me." Kaen groaned. "My Zenkai boost is through the fucking roof, and I've almost fully recovered from my injuries at this point. What am I doing wrong?"
"Well for one, you're not the one suppressing your power." Oozaru said, looking up at Asura.
Kaen looked at Oozaru, then to Asura, gaining a questioning look on his face.
"What's he talking about Asura?" Kaen questioned.
"Forgive me young master, but I… haven't been completely honest with you." Asura said. "I have deceived you, for your own good."
"What are you talking about?" Kaen asked.
"Asura's been absorbing your power, keeping you weak enough to where you won't surpass a certain level." Oozaru said. "I honestly don't blame him for doing what he's been doing. If he hadn't, then you'd have ended up destroying the entire planet when Eri had been shot."
"Hold up, are you telling me I'd have lost control of my self? My power?" Kaen questioned.
"Pretty much. It's amazing, that two would be born this century instead of one." Oozaru chuckled. "Granted you had absorbed one of your siblings in the womb, so it makes sense."
"What are you talking about?" Kaen asked.
"I'll explain another time, right now I believe you're gonna be needed elsewhere."
Poking Kaen in the middle of the forehead, Oozaru pushed back on him, before Kaen's eyes shot open gasping for breath.
"Whoa, everything okay there man?" Marco questioned, holding a tissue to Kaen.
Reaching up to his mouth, Kaen wiped a warm liquid from his lips, realizing it was blood he accepted the tissue.
"Fine, just some image training not going in the direction I want it to." Kaen said, wiping the rest of the blood away with the tissue.
"I still think you're using it as an excuse to just laze about and do nothing, but no judgement." Marco said.
"So what's up? Oozaru pushed me out of training because he sensed you were heading my way. I assume it's something important." Kaen stated.
"Pops wants to see you. Says it's important." Marco stated.
"On my way." Kaen said, hopping to his feet.
"So, any luck with trying to use that Haki again?" Marco questioned.
"None. I don't even understand how it's the same as the Ki I use in my attacks, yet is still so different." Kaen sighed.
"Well keep training, I'm sure you'll get it eventually." Marco said, as they stepped up to Whitebeard's throne.
"What's up Pops?" Kaen asked.
"Kaen, I'm pleased to see you're doing well." Whitebeard said. "The Doctors report the usual, you keep training inspite of your injuries, yet you try not to make them worse. Because of this, I have a very special mission for you, one that could save countless lives."
Leaning forward, and reaching down, Whitebeard held out his hand, opening it to reveal an Eternal Pose with, Impel Down, written on the lip.
"Wait Pops, you can't be serious can you?" Marco asked.
"I am." Whitebeard stated. "Kaen my boy, it's been six and a half days since you became my child, now I want you to make your way to Impel Down, and break out Ace and Mina."
"What about Eri?" Kaen inquired.
"We will rescue her. I promise. She's safe for now, since she's in the parental custody of Monkey D. Garp." Whitebeard said. "Once you've rescued Ace and Mina, you can rescue Eri."
"Alright, I understand the mission." Kaen said. "But why me?"
"You're the only one fast enough to get there in less then an hour with your flying abilities my boy. An' with your strength, I have no doubt you can get to them in time." Whitebeard stated.
"Okay. I'll get going." Kaen said, taking the Eternal Pose. "If I return without them, then it means I was too late, and didn't get there in time."
"We pray it doesn't come to that. Now go."
Taking to the air, Kaen looked in the direction the Pose was pointing and followed the needle, creating a gust of wind as his vest came flying off and fell on the deck of the ship, revealing the Whitebeard Jolly Roger tattooed in the middle of his back, right between the shoulder blades.
Looking to the Eternal Pose, Kaen took off in the direction it pointed him to, and broke the sound barrier, flying for the prison.
"Hang on Mina, Ace, I'm coming to save you." Kaen stated.
After flying over the water for hours, Kaen came to a sudden stop, before he turned his head to the right as he sensed a familiar Ki signature.
"It can't be." He said, backhanding a Sea King in the face, as it tried sneaking up on him.
Heading straight for the location the Ki was coming from, Kaen spotted a ship approaching his sights and was getting bigger as he approached it, before he realized it was a Navy Vessel.
"Don't tell me they actually managed to capture him." Kaen cursed.
Diving under the water, Kaen made sure to keep himself out of sight, before he reached the underside of the ship, stopped just before making contact and flew straight up to the porthole the Ki was coming from, before sighing in relief when he saw Luffy, eating to his hearts content without any restraints.
"If he's not a prisoner, then what is he doing on a Navy Vessel?" Kaen questioned, before tapping on the glass.
The tapping got Luffy's attention, and Kaen smiled when he saw his Captain excitedly jumping up and running to the porthole.
"Kaen you're…"
"SSSHHHHH." Kaen said, silencing Luffy with his hand before flying in through the opened porthole and closing it behind him. "Yeah I'm fine, but be quiet. You're on a Navy Vessel you know."
"Yeah I know." Luffy said with a laugh.
"Who is this pathetic worm?"
Kaen turned from Luffy to see a black haired busty woman in a purple dress with Kuja designs on it, with a pair of golden earrings that resemble snakes and black high-heeled shoes.
"How dare you speak to Luffy in such a casual manner." She said.
"I think I can speak to my Captain any way I see fit, Ms. Hancock." Kaen stated.
"Oh, so you already know Hancock?" Luffy asked with a smile.
"I know of her. One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea." Kaen said. "An' Queen of Amazon Lilly, a whole Island of women who are all members of the Kuja Pirates by the age of thirteen at the latest. I'm assuming Amazon Lilly is the island you ended up on?"
"Yep." Luffy smiled. "Hancock's been nothing but helpful ever since I won my trial for trespassing on the island, even though it was due to that paw hand guy sending me there in the first place. Where'd you end up at though? You were the first of the crew he sent flying."
"I ended up on Whitebeard's ship. I'm actually an honorary member until we reunite the crew." Kaen said, showing the tattooed Jolly Roger on his back.
"Whoa cool, your tattoo isn't as big as Ace's, but it's in the same area." Luffy said.
"So Luffy, he's a member of your crew?" Hancock questioned, her attitude shifting to a gentler, more love struck vibe.
"Yep, he's the Saiyan I told you about." Luffy smirked. "So you know about Ace too huh?"
"Not just Ace, Mina and Eri as well." Kaen stated.
"Right. I forgot my grandpa has Eri, and that Mina's scheduled to be executed alongside Ace." Luffy stated.
"Whitebeard sent me to try and rescue them before they're taken to Marineford, to prevent the loss of lives in the upcoming war." Kaen explained as he was enveloped in a pink heart shaped beam. "I was on my way there when I sense your Ki, and what the hell are you trying to do Hancock?" He questioned, turning to the Kuja Pirates Captain.
"Strange, my Love-Love Beam isn't working on you." Hancock stated, sounding perplexed. "I thought Luffy was the only one it didn't affect."
"Love-Love Beam?" Kaen questioned.
"She can turn people to stone. Apparently it only works when people fall for her looks or something." Luffy said.
"That explains you. You're not really one to be appealed by a girl's charms unless they're holding food." Kaen said before turning to look at Hancock. "As for me, I'm afraid you're just wasting your energy. My heart already belongs to another, which is why it's not working on me."
"Who is this Mina girl anyway?" Hancock questioned.
"A member of the Straw Hat Crew, and my wife." Kaen stated. "Like Ace, I suspect she's being used as bait to lure me out, just as Ace is bait to lure Whitebeard out to Marineford."
"Then we should do all we can, and work together to get them out." Luffy stated.
"It won't be that simple." Kaen said. "I'm still recovering from my injuries inflicted during the fight at Sabaody, so I'm not gonna be able to give it my all, without causing further harm to my body."
"What about that weird demon form of yours, you know with the red gem in your chest, or those Quirks you used to kill two of the three Celestial Dragons?" Luffy asked.
"I can use my power, but I'm still learning how to control those Quirks, the fact I'm able to manifest them is shocking enough. I didn't think I'd be able to, I was just needing the physical strength they came with when collected inside the core of my Quirk." Kaen explained, not noticing Hancock's sudden look of shock when Luffy mentioned the Celestial Dragons. "As for my Wukong form, that's a no go. Asura's been doing something to keep me in a weakened state. Supposedly it's to keep me from becoming strong enough to destroy planets, but it still grinds my gears that it was done behind my back."
"That's a good thing, isn't it?" Luffy asked.
"It is, but what I'm saying is I'd like to have known it was happening beforehand, so something could have actually been done on Sabaody." Kaen said.
"Then, what about that other form you take? The one you used against Shiki, and made a pill that repeats the process of forcefully evolving your genetics into a more primal version of yourself?" Luffy asked.
"It's untested. Even if I could use it, there's no telling what kinds of things it could do to my mind, or my body as a side effect after combining the S-IQ with a Primal Rage and a Rumble Ball."
"Taking Chopper's advice huh?" Luffy asked.
"I'm not gonna risk becoming a mindless animal and abandoning my family." Kaen said.
"Luffy said…" Kaen and Luffy both looked to Hancock, who's eyes were overshadowed and was looking down. "Luffy said you were the one who killed those Celestial Dragons?"
"I did. An' I'd do it again, if it meant keeping my family safe." Kaen stated.
"Did you know, their status and what would happen if you even defied them?" Hancock questioned.
"I was informed of the potential consequences." Kaen stated. "But like I said, I'd do it again to protect my loved ones."
"Oh that's right." Luffy said, realizing why Hancock was acting this way. "Hancock, mind if I tell Kaen your past? It'd help clear up his confusion on why you're asking."
Hancock was silent for a moment, while Kaen took a seat on the couch, and grabbed a bottle of rum, before the Kuja Pirate Queen made a decision.
"Very well. You may tell the Saiyan my past." Hancock said.
"What's this got to do with the Celestial Dragons?" Kaen asked.
"She was enslaved by them. The Big Dumb Mackerel Gang kidnapped her and her two sisters when they were little, and sold them into slavery at the same auction house, when business was first booming." Luffy said.
"That explains it." Kaen growled taking a large swig of rum. "So what happened afterwards?"
"The Celestial Dragons forced the three of them to eat Devil Fruits, and when they escaped the Celestial Dragons, and returned to Amazon Lilly, they made up some sort of story to hide the truth from the citizens there, while also hiding the marks of the Celestial Dragons that had been branded onto their backs. They wanted to hide the truth so badly, they made up some story about a Gorgon or something."
"Gorgon, a mythical creature capable of petrifying any who look into its eyes, to stone." Kaen said. "Makes sense now. The whole petrification thing pairs well with your Love-Love Fruit's abilities. I understand now why you're asking me your questions Hancock."
"So then… Would you really do it again? Would you wage war on the Celestial Dragons even?" Hancock questioned.
"I would." Kaen said, no hesitation in his voice. "On my pride as a Saiyan Warrior, and as the son of All Might, I would go so far as declare war on all Celestial Dragons in my path, who would even attempt to harm my friends or family."
"No hesitation, not a single hint of it in your voice." Hancock said with a smile of relief.
"Luffy." Kaen said. "In the chance that we don't succeed, and the war still happens, there's gonna be a strong possibility I'll be fighting your grandfather to get Eri back."
"Don't hold back, but don't kill him either. He might be a marine, but he's also my grandpa." Luffy stated.
"Right." Kaen said. "I believe we've arrived at the docks for Impel Down."
Looking out the porthole, Hancock gasped when she saw that he was right, and the marines sailing the vessel were finishing up tying the ship to the port.
"How did you know?" Hancock questioned, looking to him.
"I could sense the Ki of those in the Prison. It's so sickening it makes me wanna gag, but now that we're so close, I can tell them apart individually." Kaen stated. "Which meant we'd either arrived, or the ship was within a rock's throwing distance of the prison."
"That's Kaen for ya. Always prepared for battle." Luffy said looking out the porthole. "This is crazy though, they've got more ships here then they do for the Buster Call."
"Considering the circumstances, this might be the most dangerous place in the world right now." Hancock said. "Wait, you've seen a Buster Call? I'm impressed you're still alive."
"First I'm hearing of this." Kaen said.
"It happened at Enies Lobby, before you, Mina, or Eri became part of the crew. It was the same day, we said goodbye to the Going Merry." Luffy said.
"What are we gonna do about your Saiyan crewmate sneaking in?" Hancock questioned. "I can't hide you both in my jacket. Not that I'd want to hide him within my clothes anyway."
"No need to concern yourself Hancock." Kaen said. "But I'll need your help to do it."
~Marineford~
"Eri's been awfully quiet today." Garp said. "I haven't hear a peep coming from her room since this morning."
"Yes she has. She's been like this for the last few days." Koby said.
"She's probably just accepting what's gonna be happening in a couple days." Helmeppo said.
"I did notice a strange box next to her the other day though." Koby stated.
"Wooden chest looking thing?" Garp asked, pulling the box from his desk.
"Yes, that's it." Koby acknowledged.
"Too bad it's empty." Garp said, opening the box. "Whatever was inside, had to have been very important. All I found inside it was a bare grape vine."
"Hold on… grape vine?" Helmeppo asked. "Garp Sir, Koby. You don't think that the contents of that box, was a Devil Fruit, do you?"
Koby and Garp looked at Helmeppo, before they turned to look at one another, their expressions slowly turning to realization as their heads turned, before their jaws dropped and Koby went over to the room Eri had been assigned in the building next to Garp's office, per the Vice Admiral's request.
"ERI." Koby called out, opening the door to the room, only to find it empty with Eri's clothes on the ground. "She's gone."
"What?" Garp questioned, looking into her room. "We have to find her."
Meanwhile, as they were panicking, Eri was skulking through the streets of Marineford on all fours. Keeping to the shadows to avoid detection. She'd made it a pretty far ways from the offices and now faced a couple of problems. Resting in an alley, Eri looked at her reflection on the surface on a barrel of water, and staring back at her, was the face of a blue furred twin tailed tiger cub. The Devil Fruit she ate had mixed with the serums Dr. Indigo had injected her with, resulting in what was supposed to be a white tiger, now being a blue tiger with twin tails, but unlike the beastly counterpart of hers, she did not have the sabertooth protruding from the upper half of her jaw.
"I've gotta find a way to get back to normal." Eri said, her paw touching the water.
The second predicament she was in, revolved around her current location. She needed to find a way off Marineford and to Impel Down to save Mina.
"Hold on Mama, I'm coming. But first… what did Chopper say about his transformations?" Eri pondered. "It requires concentration and relaxation."
Closing her eyes, Eri concentrated on returning to her human form, with only her tails and ears showing. She could feel her body shift and change, a pleasing sensation that went through her entire body, before she felt it stop. Opening her eyes, Eri looked at herself, and saw that she was in what Chopper would call, the Hybrid form, as her body was still covered head to toe in blue fur with black stripes, and two tails, but was back to her normal height. Looking at her reflection again, Eri saw that her silvery hair had returned and that made her smile.
"This is good enough for now." Eri smiled, seeming pleased with her efforts, before hopping down from the crate she used as a stool. "Now to find a ship heading for Impel Down."
"Eri."
The young girl froze hearing that voice coming from behind her.
"No, it can't be." She said.
~Impel Down~
"Welcome to Impel Down, Vice Admiral Momonga." The Marines saluted as Momonga and Hancock came down the ramp, with Kaen strapped onto a dolly being wheeled down. Off to the side, smoke could be seen rising from a hole in the ship, that had been made from a Ki blast. Kaen was in a fighting stance, with his body looking somewhat like the stone that covers Hancock's victims when she uses her Devil Fruit powers on them.
"I'm glad to see, you are unharmed Ms. Hancock." Momonga said. "The sudden attack from out of nowhere by that Saiyan must have been a real shock to you, but I am glad to see you've proven to be able to handle yourself against him. Saves us the trouble of having to fight him during the execution."
"It is no surprise that he's smitten by my looks. He is a pathetic man after all." Hancock said.
"I suppose even a mighty Saiyan cannot help but give in to his more primal urges." Momonga said, looking at her. "Now about that condition of yours; before aiding in his execution, you wanted to meet Portgas D. Ace, and Mina Ashido correct?"
"That is correct. So what is the holdup?" Hancock questioned.
"Let me warn you once more that Warlord or not, as a pirate you're not welcome here." Momonga stated. "As a result, before you enter they will perform a full body search. They will also require you to wear Sea Prism Stone handcuffs inside. They have to make sure you don't launch any ill fated attempts at rescuing Ace, Ashido, or any other prisoners."
"Very well, go." Hancock said, as they made their way through the gates.
"Let me out."
"I'm dying in here."
"No body deserves this."
As the prisoners continued to cry and scream, Hancock caught a glimpse of Kaen's 'stone' body quake.
'Not good, if he acts up now he'll blow his chance.' She thought
~Flashback~
"Whoa, so cool. You can turn your body into metal?" Luffy questioned, stars in his eyes as he saw Kaen's metal covered body, as the Straw Hat rubber man came by with a potted plant.
"It's a Quirk I got from a schoolmate back on my planet. Tetsutetsu might be boisterous, but he does have a sturdy Quirk I can use in a situation like this." Kaen said.
"That's all well and good, but I don't see how that's gonna help." Hancock said.
"I'd have thought it simple for you to figure out Hancock." Kaen smirked. "The moment Luffy hides in your robes, I'm gonna cause a scene that will no doubt draw the guards towards us. Once that happens, you're gonna use your beam on me, and I'll act as though you managed to petrify me, since you can't actually do so."
"I turn people to stone, not metal." Hancock said.
"What do you think the potted plant is for?" Kaen asked. "We need the soil in the pot."
"Silver plus brown, makes gray." Hancock realized.
"An' one specific shade of gray, can be used with my metal body, to fool the marines into thinking you managed to subdue me in the chaos. But to make it look real, I gotta make the scene look like it came from outside." Kaen said.
"How are you gonna do that?" Luffy asked.
"Ki can be used in many different methods. A few of these methods…" Kaen paused as he raised his hand, and in turn a glass of wine was raised from the table and floated right towards Hancock. "…involve telekinesis. If I combine telekinesis with a miner explosion to cause the scene, phase one of my infiltration will be complete."
"That's so cool." Luffy smirked.
"Alright. Luffy let's get to covering my body in dirt. If I initiate Steel after we put the dirt on my body, we just might make the marines think I've been turned to stone." Kaen stated.
~End Flashback~
'It worked alright, but he can't suppress his nature for long. Please remain still for as long as possible Kaen. You and Luffy are so close to saving Ace and Mina.' Hancock thought. 'We've made it this far, but I fear the worst is ahead of us.'
Traversing through the halls of the prison, Hancock and Momonga were greeted by someone with a large head, wearing a headdress of some kind, holding a pitchfork, and a woman in a female guards uniform with long blonde hair, wearing sunglasses.
"Welcome to my prison, Impel Down." The man said. "Oops, jumped the gun there. It's not… well exactly mine just yet. I'm the Vice Warden here, Hannyabal, well for now at least."
'This idiot seems real desperate to get his hands on the position of Warden. I'm not sure if we should be weary of him just yet.' Kaen thought.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Vice Admiral." Hannyabal said, holding out his hand to Momonga.
"Likewise." Momonga said.
"We've been expecting you. Ah, and this must be the Pirate Empress. My Pirate Empress, perhaps?" Hannyabal asked. "Oopsie, jumped the gun again. That's a bit ambitious I suppose."
'Is jumping the gun really this guy's shtick?' Kaen questioned.
"Dumbass Warden is… Oopsie, not what I meant. The perfectly competent Warden Magellan is waiting in his office on Level-4. He said he'd like to meet with you. Our Vice Manager of the Jail here, Ms. Domino, will be more then happy to guide you there." Hannyabal said.
"It seems you're in a rush Empress, so allow me to get this unpleasantness out of the way. If you follow me, we'll conduct our body search and begin the tour. But if you'd be so kind as to undo the petrification on the brought in prisoner, we can escort him to where he properly belongs." Domino said.
"Do not tell me what to do." Hancock said. "Though I suppose it is necessary."
Turning back to Kaen, Hancock formed a heart with her hands, and hit Kaen with her Love-Love Beam. After being enveloped by the power, Kaen began to shake before he undid the metal on his body and the dirt fell to the ground. Going along with the ploy, Kaen fell to his knees, acting as though he'd just had the life drained from him.
"Hey, take a look at the tattoo on his back." One of the guards said.
"Isn't that the White Beard Jolly Roger?" Another asked.
"It is." Momonga said, spotting the Jolly Roger. "It would seem after being split up from his crew, he joined forces with the White Beard pirates."
"Take him away." Hannyabal ordered.
The guards were on Kaen, as he began pushing himself to his feet, and put him in a pair of Sea Prism Stone restraints.
"Let me go you bastards." Kaen growled. "I will break free of these, and when I do, you're all dead, you hear me? DEAD." He shouted as he was taken away.
"Well, I believe that's the last we'll be hearing from him." Hannyabal said.
"Hopefully. But the Government learned that Saiyans have a way, of surpassing their limits, especially when cornered." Momonga said. "I want him on the prison transport to the execution of Portgas D. Ace, and Mina Ashido as soon as I get confirmation that we can add him to it. Instead of a double execution, let's try and go for a triple."
~Mina, Ace, Jinbe~
All was quiet in the dungeons, as Jinbe, Mina, and Ace were sitting in their cell, patiently awaiting for the day to come to an end. The silence was broken however, when the sound of heavy footsteps came towards the cell.
"Right on time, like clockwork." Mina said.
At the sound of the footsteps, Jinbe stood up, fighting against his restraints as he stood his ground, not even flinching as the door swung open, and in walked a minotaur like beast with an iron spiked club.
"Strike me." Jinbe declared.
The minotaur grabbed one of the chains restraining Jinbe, and pulled it down, forcing him back to the ground.
"I have no regrets." Jinbe declared, before he was struck by the iron club.
Mina and Ace were helpless to do anything other then watch, as this scene plaid out before them every day, on the hour before the minotaur left.
"That violent oaf."
"Yeah, Captain I'm sorry, but them's the breaks." Ace said.
"You doing okay big guy?" Mina asked.
"My body is fine. Your concern for me is appreciated, but not needed." Jinbe said, cracking his neck. "My heart however, craves justice. My heart wants war."
"Jinbe… how long do we have until our execution?" Ace asked, looking to the Warlord in question, as he spit out some blood from his beating.
"If my track of time is correct, then you have probably a day and a half remaining, give or take a few hours." Jinbe said.
"Kaen will come and save us. I know he will." Mina said, before her stomach rumbled, and she began to look a little green.
"Mina, are you sure you're doing…" Ace stopped asking when Mina turned around and puked out of the cell bars, making sure the vomit was away from where she was sitting. "…okay? Guess that answers my question."
"I don't understand. I was feeling fine just a moment ago. But then, I get the urge to hurl all of a sudden." Mina sighed, sitting back in her spot.
"I'm hoping I'm wrong about this but… Mina did you and your husband, ever seal your love in an act of passion in the bedroom?" Jinbe asked.
"If you're asking if we had sex like we were a pair of rabbits in heat, then the answer is yes. It's actually what equates to a marriage ceremony in Saiyan culture." Mina stated, before her eyes widened in realization. "Wait, you don't think that…"
"I believe it might be, and what you just experienced was the fertilized egg taking root." Jinbe said.
"Then they can't possibly go through with executing me while I'm pregnant, right?" Mina asked, putting her hands on her belly.
"I wouldn't be so sure of it." Ace said. "My mother defied nature's course itself to protect me before I was born. She kept herself pregnant with me for 11 months after I was supposed to come out and my father was executed, just to prevent the World Government from getting their hands on me, for having his blood flowing through my veins. But it wasn't just for my sake, it was for her own as well since they would have executed her, while she was still pregnant with me, to ensure we both were punished. Her for loving my father, and me for having his blood. But it didn't matter for her in the end, as she died giving birth to a baby that was almost a full year overdue."
"The World Government are a bunch of monsters." Mina said.
"You have no idea, how ruthless the World Government can actually be." Jinbe said. "If I could, I'd have used my position in the World Government, to try and destroy it."
"There's no sense in dwelling on it now Jinbe." Ace said.
"At least the pregnancy makes sense as to why my Acid Quirk isn't working." Mina said. "Pregnancies have a tenancy to mess with a woman's Quirk, on some occasions. It's not uncommon, but it doesn't happen to all women."
"We can only pray, Luffy and Kaen manage to rescue you in time." Jinbe said, before his eyes grew narrow. "Mina, do you sense that?"
"Someone's coming." Mina confirmed, before they all looked through the bars of the cell to those who were coming to them, before the sound of footsteps reached them, stopping in front of the cell.
Standing before them, were several people, among them were Hannyabal, Momonga, and Domino. As well as another man, dressed in a black suit with devil horns and wings on his back, Warden Magellan.
"You've got a special visitor you two." Hannyabal said, addressing Ace and Mina. "Behave yourselves. You'll never guess who it is. Jinbe, you know her well but even you've never met her. Maybe I should give Ace and Mina here a hint. Her name is notorious, but she never shows herself. She leads a tribe of Warriors called the Kuja, and she's one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea." He stated, moving out of the way, revealing Hancock to Mina and Ace. "Strong, noble, and the most beautiful woman in the world. The Pirate Empress Boa Hancock."
As the other prisoners were causing a riot, and catcalling for the Empress to come closer, Hancock stepped up to the cell while her escorts were distracted, and leaned in closer so Ace and Mina could hear her.
"What is it, what do you want from us?" Ace asked.
"Nothing really." Hancock said. "I simply wanted to take a good look at you. To see the cause of the war I will take part in first hand. That's all."
"Are we everything you'd hoped for?" Ace questioned.
There was no reply from Hancock, but it didn't go unnoticed that Jinbe was looking at her with skepticism.
"In the past, you've always been the Empress who stood her ground, and ignored every Summons. Yet you're going to take part in this war?" Jinbe questioned. "I hope your title, is worth your dignity."
"A pleasure to meet you too, now mind your foolish tongue." Hancock said.
The harassment and catcalling continued as Hancock ignored their calls. Eventually, Magellan tried intervening, but they just began to mock him, as they continued to catcall Hancock.
"That's enough." Magellan said, his body turning purple as he used his Devil Fruit powers, creating a three headed hydra out of the purple liquid his body produced. "It seems you peons need a reminder, as to who the boss is around here."
With Magellan distracted, Hancock stepped closer to the cell looking right at Mina and Ace. The words were inaudible to the others, either by being distracted by Magellan's outburst, or being too far off for her words to reach them, but Mina and Ace understood her perfectly. When Magellan had finished his execution of the prisoner who instigated and invoked his wrath, Hancock had finished what she had to say, leaving both Mina and Ace speechless.
"Is it true?" Mina questioned.
"There, so sorry about that." Magellan said, walking up from behind Hancock. "You're free to speak with them now. Proceed."
"I'm finished here." Hancock stated turning around to leave.
"Wait Empress Hancock please. Let me join the Kuja pirates and get me out of here." Mina called to her. "Please I'm begging you."
"An' why should I do that?" Hancock questioned.
"You should listen to her Hancock." Jinbe stated. "If you don't, you'll be condemning a pregnant woman to death."
Hancock stopped and turned back to look at Mina, shock etched on her face as she looked at the pink haired girl.
"If she is pregnant, then we should execute her now." Hannyabal said. "We don't need another Saiyan running around, and the Saiyan who murdered the Celestial Dragons, is already in custody, awaiting punishment."
"Stay your hand, if her mate is part of Whitebeard's crew since the Straw Hats are disbanded, then Whitebeard is obviously aware of her connection to that Saiyan, and will be fighting for her freedom as well. Magellan, any word from Marineford?" Momonga asked.
"Not yet. I will contact you the moment I have confirmation that he'll be added to the execution board. He should be finishing up with his baptism right about now." Magellan said. "Sorry Empress, but even if you agreed to let her join the Kuja Pirate to pardon her of all her crimes, I'm afraid HQ would revoke your title as Warlord for aiding a conspirator in the death's of three Celestial Dragons."
"Very well. Though I would at least ask, her execution be stayed until she safely delivers her child, so that I may raise it when she is gone. At least putting her at ease in knowing her child will be safe." Hancock said.
"I'm afraid that's not an option Ma'am." Magellan said leading her out of the lowest level. "Please, this way."
~Eri~
"You can't be here." Eri said, not even bothering to turn around.
"Oh, can't I?" The familiar voice of her former tormentor questioned.
Slowly, Eri turned around, her fears being realized as her eyes landed on the plague mask that haunted her dreams, and the man who wore it with his green coat over his shoulder, as he looked down at her.
"It's time to come home Eri." Overhaul stated.
"NO!" Eri cried out, running away from Overhaul.
Giving chase to her, Overhaul wasn't about to let her escape once again.
"Don't make this difficult on yourself Eri." Overhaul stated. "Be a good girl, and do as your told, or else more people are gonna die, and their blood will be on your hands."
"How are you here? You shouldn't be here. It's impossible." Eri said.
"Oh, an acquaintance of mine revealed that our mutual enemy was still alive, along with you and one other person, and had a means of bringing me to retrieve you." Overhaul said, his hand reaching out and almost grabbing her. "Now be a good girl, and return home with me, so that we can continue our work of cleansing the disease ridden world we belong on. We'll have to try and return you to how you were before of course, but that shouldn't be a problem."
"Leave me alone." Eri cried out, before tripping over a piece of garbage and rolling forward, slamming painfully into a stop as she hit a wall.
"Now look what you've done Eri. Look what you've done by being so disobedient." Overhaul sighed, reaching down to grab her. "I'm gonna have to make you suffer for such disobedience. As punishment for making me chase you around again."
"No, stay back. Stay away from me." Eri cried softly tears streaming down her face. "Stay away from me. PAPA."
"Shave."
Before Overhaul could grab her, Eri was grabbed by the pink haired Koby and pulled away from the man who wanted to use her for more experiments.
"Just what the hell, do you think you're doing to this girl?" Koby questioned, holding Eri tight.
"What I do with my daughter is none of your business young man."
"She is not your daughter." Koby said.
"It's him." Eri cried.
"Eri?" Koby asked.
"It's him, the one who left me with all my scars. The one who was experimenting on me." Eri sobbed. "The man Papa saved me from."
Koby looked at Eri, then looked towards Overhaul, his expression etched with extreme rage.
"You're not gonna harm a single hair on her head anymore." Koby glared, as he disappeared. "Shave."
Overhaul just looked at the now empty space, hives breaking out as his anger grew.
"That young man is dead." He growled, destroying his glove with his Quirk.
"Don't worry my friend." A new voice said, emerging from the shadows. "In two days, you'll have all the time you would desire, for destroying him, and taking back the child my little brother stole from you."
"Where is he anyway?" Overhaul asked.
"From the information I've gathered so far, it's clear to say he's been imprisoned at Impel Down. The most impenetrable prison on this world. Just goes to show, how truly weak he is, if he was captured so easily. Fate smiles upon me, as I am the one and only Legendary Super Saiyan."
"Cut the chitchat, and pull yourself together." Overhaul said, throwing his jacket back on as he made his way out of the alley, replacing his destroyed glove. "We've got work to do, Akuma."
