Tohru and Elma were at the local marketplace picking up groceries. Tohru was on top, and she got to wear her normal outfit for the first time in a week. Her dark blue dress covered up Elma's half well. To the untrained eye, she looked completely normal (save for her horns, of course.)

"Hey, Tohru! How have you been? I haven't seen you around as often."

"Oh, yeah. I've been a lot more busy lately. It's been tough, but I'm working through it."

"I see. How's Kobayashi doing?"

"She's been well. We've just had a tighter schedule, that's all."

"Sounds rough. How about a discount on these cuts?"

"Oh, that'd be great, thanks!"

"You know, I've also noticed you walking a little funny. You sure everything's ok at home?"

"Oh, it's alright. No need to worry about it. I'll be off now."

Tohru and Elma slowly walked away from the meat shop and towards the bakery.

"Tohru, you need to be less conspicuous. He almost found out!"

"No he didn't. He didn't notice a thing."

"He noticed the strange walking."

"Uh, wouldn't that be your fault?"

"I…I…nevermind! Let's get some pastries, I'm starving."

"Ugh, fine."

After some shopping, the two dragons headed back to the apartment. It was evening and the sky was transitioning from orange to purple. Tohru was carrying two bags of groceries for the week, and Elma was struggling a little under the weight.

"Ugh, you'd think I would have gotten used to this by now…"

"Oh, suck it up. I have to do this five days a week, you know."

"Did you really have to get that extra package of meat?"

"Hey, they were on sale. Besides, we need the extra food considering you're living with us too."

"Oh, right. "

"If we hurry home, I can get this meat cooking for dinner. You like meat, don't you?"

"Well, yeah, but-"

"You're not going anywhere."

"Huh?"

Tohru looked into the nearby alleyway to see a scary looking man with horns and a trench coat. He had fangs and glowing eyes. Definitely not from this world.

"So you're Tohru, yes?"

"Uh, who wants to know?"

"My name is Cremene, a dragon hunter from the Harmony faction in the other world. I sensed a strange energy coming from this world, and sent me here to investigate and eliminate it."

"So you came for me?"

"And for what's underneath your skirt."

"Hey! You pervert!"

"I believe you know exactly what I am referring to."

Cremene shot out a burst of energy from his fingertips toward Tohru. Elma jumped out of the way and on top of a nearby lamppost. She was balancing with one arm while Torhu was standing on top looking all cool and stuff.

"What kind of strange energy? If it was coming from one of us, you would have noticed it before!"

"Not one of you. Both of you. Together. The individual mana levels of the High Priestess and the Daughter of Cataclysm are strong in their own right. But combined, they become astronomical. So much so that I picked up on it from the other world."
"Well to be fair, my arms have gotten stronger ever since-"

"This level of power is dangerous. Especially for a dragon. Two dragons, I should say. You endanger the lives of everyone on both worlds."

"We've been looking for a way to separate for a while now. It hasn't been easy. Believe me, I'd rather not be permanently stuck with Elma, no matter how powerful it makes me."
"That much we can agree on. And so, I have taken it upon myself…"

Cremene shot another blast of energy at the two dragons. They quickly leapt off the lamppost and into a nearby alleyway.

"...to destroy the two of you once and for all!"

Tohru and Elma hopped and dodged across the buildings, avoiding incoming fire from Cremene's hands. His shots landed across the alleyway, leaving craters and fires in his wake. So much for being inconspicuous…

"For someone with such an unusual body, you're quite agile!"

"We've had some time to practice."

"To kill two high ranking dragons at the same time, in a combined form no less, I would receive great reward from my bosses! If you would only stay still!"

Cremene hit the railing that Tohru and Elma were standing on, causing them to fall on the sidewalk. They got up quickly and ran, hiding behind a nearby pillar. Tohru made a portal to the park near their house to hide, and they jumped through.

"Dammit! He hit one of the grocery bags and I dropped it!"

"Oh no! I think that extra package of meat was in there!"
"We're being chased by a dragon hunter and you're thinking about food?"

"Hey, all that bouncing around worked up my appetite!"
"Did you know that guy? He said he was from the Harmony faction."
"What, you think all of us Harmony people know each other?"
"Um…"

"Well, I do know him, actually. Cremene may be on Harmony's side, but he's a jerk! And he owes me a meal or two!"

"Again with the food?"

"It's an integral part of human culture, I'll have you know. Eating as much of it as possible lets you learn a lot about them. And it's yummy, of course."
"Yeah, sure. Hey wait, if he could sense our energy from all the way from another world, then that means-"

"I could find your location easily, yes."

The two turned to see Cremene standing on top of the swing set. He was looking super pissed, like someone broke into his house and shot his dog. Tohru and Elma stood up to face him.

"Just leave us alone! We're not causing any trouble."

"I mean, you did-"

"Shut up, Elma! You're not helping!"

"Your power is great, yes. However, the two of you are from different factions. The two of you couldn't possibly cooperate well enough to control that power. You'll spread chaos and destruction, and it's my job to prevent that by any means necessary."

"Well, look at us. We cooperate well enough to stand and walk, as well as hide as normal humans. And we were able to dodge all your attacks. I'd call that good coordination."

"Speaking of which, didn't your attacks cause chaos and destruction just now? You destroyed an entire alleyway, imagine if there were humans there."

"I won't listen to this anymore! I came here to eliminate you both, and that's exactly what I intend to do. Hold still!"

Cremene shot another blast of energy at the two (wow, how original) and they jumped up towards him. Tohru wound up a fire powered punch, but Cremene quickly grabbed her throat and put her in a chokehold.

"You chaos dragons are such a nuisance. Disrespecting the gods, laying destruction in your wake, manipulating the humans! I will not stand for this!"

"Ack!"

"Surely, if one of you dies, the other will follow suit, yes? Elma, I look forward to not having to pay my debt. You eat too much anyway."

"Oh, hell no!"

Elma punched Cremene in the crotch, causing him to release Tohru. They both dropped to the ground as Cremene fell forward towards them. Tohru and Elma simultaneously charged up their dragon breath and fired it at him in midair. Tohru's orange flame and Elma's blue water coalesced into a bright, powerful, yellow beam of energy that shot through the air, illuminating the sky like an intense firework. Cremene's body was incinerated upon impact, feeling the full might of two powerful dragons working in tandem. After firing, the two dragons lay there, tired and out of breath. Cremene's charred, horned skeleton fell to the ground near them. He would not be getting that promotion anytime soon.

"Finally…it's over."

"Can't believe we actually killed the bastard. You think they'll send anyone else after us when Cremene doesn't come back?"
"Well let's hope he's not missed then."

"It's a shame though. I coulda gotten a good meal or two out of him. If he had bothered to pay me before."

"Well the good news is that we don't have to worry about him causing trouble anymore."

"I suppose so. That was impressive, by the way. What we did."

"The combined dragon breath thing? Yeah, that was cool, wasn't it?"
"It was! I miss times like this. Us working together and hanging out like back then."

"Yeah. But to be fair, we have been working together and hanging out for weeks now."

"Where does the time go?"
"Come on, let's go back. Maybe those groceries I dropped are still good, or at least intact."

Tohru opened a portal to downtown, and the two stepped through. It was dark out, and Kobayashi would be wondering where they were. Hopefully their groceries were still good…

Meanwhile, Shota and Lucoa were watching the news yet again.

"The local police station was broken into days ago. No reports of any theft, but the evidence room was broken into, and various appliances in the building seemed to have caught fire. The fire alarms had gone off, and the breaker was fried. The police have no confirmed suspects yet, and are looking for who may be responsible. For security reasons, all the evidence in the station will be moved to the police headquarters for safekeeping. Oh wait, I probably shouldn't have said that, huh? Well, I'm fired."

"It's at their headquarters now?"

"Guess our job got a lot harder, huh?"

"Oh, we'll never get the book at this rate!"

"Never say never, Shota-baby. I know where we can get some help."

"This mission keeps getting more and more intense. But it's a family rule: take responsibility for your magic. I messed up Tohru and Elma's lives, and it's my job to fix them. You really think you know someone who can help?"
"For sure! He's the best in the business!"
