Author's Note: Hiii its me again! I'm back after a while with a new story! This one's based Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba. I recently got into the series and I fell in love with it. But I noticed there were NO sickfics of it on here. So to my disappointment I thought, okay time to take matters into my own hands here! And after a few months of thinking, I got this interesting idea. And I'm aware that the manga confirms that demons can't get sick, but hey Nezuko's a unique demon so maybe she's an exception) It'll be a bit more intense than my usual fluffy fics, this one has a bit of a story arc to it. As usual I hope you enjoy and I hope I do these characters justice or get their personalities right in the writing because I've only been into this series for a couple months.

This may also be my longest fic yet. I have some plans for this one c:

Bonus: Tanjiro wakes up to a cute little surprise on his bed!

The next morning (or rather afternoon) Tanjiro was woken up unexpectedly.

He was thinking it was still dark because the room seemed dark. But the windows were all covered in curtains. He didn't know what he was waking up to until he heard a soft but familiar sound.

"Mmmph! Mmm!"

He could feel light pounding on his body. He was still groggy from lack of sleep until he heard a voice.

"Jeez Tanjiro, wake up already! Look who's here to see you!"

He then opened his eye and looked to see Nezuko in her still small size on his bed with Zenitsu behind her.

Both of Tanjiro's eyes were then instantly shot awake.

"Nezuko?!" he shouted out in surprise upon seeing his little sister. This caused Nezuko to recoil a bit by her brother's loud voice. Then she looked up at him again when he quieted down.

Her eyes were back to being the sweet, innocent, curious and gentle pink they always were. How long has it been since he saw those adorable eyes? Just 2 days but it felt like way longer.

"Looks like he's finally awake, huh Nezuko?" Zenitsu said in a mocking tone as he puts his hands to her shoulders with both of them looking at each other before their gaze focuses back to Tanjiro.

Nezuko's expression changed.

"Mmmm! Hmph!" she seemed a little angry.

"Whats wrong…?" Tanjiro asked looking at Nezuko's pouty face.

"You overslept. I went to visit Nezuko in your place and she woke up feeling better, but really wanted to see you. So, I barraged all the curtains in the room so she could visit you." Zenitsu responded.

Tanjiro awkwardly chuckled in regret upon seeing his sister's look of disapproval.

"I'm sorry Nezuko. I guess I needed the sleep a lot more than I thought…" he responded.

Nezuko made another noise before she collapsed onto her brother then giving him a hug.

Tanjiro's eyes began to well up upon seeing his little sister acting energetic again.

"Oh Nezuko… I'm so glad you're all better!" Tanjiro smiled returning the hug his sister gave his eyes now tearing up.

Then Nezuko lifted her head up making a few noises. Tanjiro froze in place.

"mm…"

"mmuh…"

"MMIITCHUU!~!"

Nezuko sneezed harshly making the muzzle fall off her face to her brother's surprise. A long drip of snot coming from her nose. Her eyes were a little watery and her cheeks still stained with a slight pinkish hue.

"Well…for the most part anyway." Zenitsu stated laughing a little bit.

It seems she was still a little sick but it wasn't enough to make her lose herself this time. She looked like a typical sickly child now.

Tanjiro laughed too before placing his hand on his sister's shoulders. "I guess you still have a bit of a pesky cold to get through huh?"

"Uuhn…" she responded in a dazed state her mouth now free and open showing her small fangs. The demon's nasal discharge was beginning to drip onto the sheets as she tried sniffling it back up but to no avail.

Tanjiro sighed and grabbed some stray blank paper from the desk by his bed. Not exactly a tissue but it would suffice.

"Come here." He got closer and wiped Nezuko's nose with the paper with her making a few noises as he did so. Then after he got it all off, he slid her muzzle back into place again.

"Mmmnn..." Nezuko sadly looked down, as if she was apologizing for all the trouble she may have caused while she was badly ill.

"Aww. It wasn't your fault Nezuko. I'm just happy you're alright. You scared all of us." Tanjiro replied petting his sister's head causing her to hum happily a little.

"You really did! Please don't scare us like that again Nezuko~!" Zenitsu wailed.

"Mmm hhmmph!" she responded before she fell down on the bed again softly groaning a bit.

Tanjiro placed his hand to her cheek as she laid on the bed. "You're still a little warm." He stated. "Okay, back to bed with you." He was about to get out of bed to take his sister back to her room.

"Mmm!" she responded in a fussy tone tugging on his shirt.

"What is it now?" he asked.

Zenitsu sighed.

"She wants to sleep beside you of course." He stated.

"Huh?" Tanjiro seemed confused as he looked at Nezuko looking up at him. Her huffy face showed clearly that she didn't want to leave.

"As jealous as I am of you sleeping beside Nezuko…" Zenistu began "I think both of you deserve the day to rest. You both went through a lot after all. We all did, but you two most of all. So, I'm giving you permission this ONE time to sleep with Nezuko!"

"What do you mean permission…? She's MY sister…" Tanjiro sighed shaking his head before looking back to Nezuko. "Is that true Nezuko? You want us to rest together?"

"Mm~!" Nezuko threw her hands up in the air in response.

"Well, I'm still pretty exhausted and you're still recovering so…okay, why not?" Tanjiro said agreeing and petting Nezuko's head again causing her to smile.

"I told everyone to let the two of you rest for today. The Stupid boar's already gone on his mission today and I'm gonna take the day off too, just to relax a bit and also look after you two."

Tanjiro smiled at Zenistu. "Thanks, Zenitsu. You really are a wonderful and considerate person."

Zenitsu blushed. "D-Don't start praising me like that now!" he cried out still red in the face.

"No really, you are. Isn't he Nezuko?" Tanjiro looked down to his sister.

"Mm-Mmm~!" Nezuko gave a happy agreeing noise in response.

"Aaaaah Nezuko~! You're too kind my sweet angel!" Zenitsu was in pure bliss hearing Nezuko's small noise of praise to him.

Tanjiro started laughing knowing full well that was his plan all along to get Zenitsu to accept the praise.

Nezuko then stretched and made a loud muffled air sound as if she was trying to yawn. She crawls into Tanjiro's bed sheets preparing to nap beside her big brother.

Tanjiro follows suit by also yawning. "Okay… Nap time…" he quietly said laying his head beside his sister's smiling at her as she's already fallen asleep.

"You two rest up." Zenitsu said. "I'll make certain that I watch over you two properly this time!"

Tanjiro laughed.

"I'm sure you will…. Zenitsu…"

Tanjiro soon drifted off into slumber along with his sister.

Zenitsu sighed.

"I swear these two siblings are gonna be the death of me… But I'd do anything for my beloved wife and her reckless brother…" he mutters to himself.

The Kamado siblings remain inseparable even in dark times like these. Tanjiro and Nezuko slept for the rest of the day and night. Both of them made a full recovery the following morning and were ready to get back into demon slaying action again. Before the next big mission and next of the twelve demon moons. But far as they were concerned, they were ready for anything.
