Bayou

Mary's House

April 2011

School was winding down for the year. Hayley would be glad to graduate and start her real life. Jackson and Ollie almost seemed oblivious to the milestone. They partied with their football player friends and continued to help out Mary as much as possible in the little house in the Bayou. Eve often came over and spent some time with Mary during the school day. Mary's medications were working to slow her inflammation and pain. She was able to do more now, but tired easily.

But tonight, Jackson and Hayley would be alone. Mary and Ollie were out of town for the night. Hayley looked at the clock and wondered what was taking Jack so long outside. But then she remembered that Ollie had tasked him with checking the traps that Tommy used to take care of. Now, they were both gone.

Hayley had been working on one of the laptops that Marcel had supplied her with. She sat at the kitchen table going over the figures again. Marcel, on behalf of the Mikaelson Foundation, had gifted her a large sum to start a home for needy wolf children. There were scores of kids in the Bayou who had streamed in months earlier and never left. Aside from the Crescent orphans and the North East Atlantic pack, Hayley had met and heard about kids from the Deep Water, BasRoq, Barry, Poldark and Paxon packs. She needed to give them a home and a future.

It could work.

They were ready.

Jackson came in and grinned at her. "Look at you, working so hard. I know that ain't your school work. More for the Mikaelsons? Remember, they helped us out, but you don't owe them nothing. Well, almost."

"It's not for them. We need a place for kids," Hayley explained. After an incident in the city, she, Aiden, and his younger brother Tommy had moved in with Marcel and Rebekah until they moved back to Virginia. If they hadn't taken her and the boys in, they would have ended up back in the foster care system. Hayley wouldn't let that happen to anyone on her watch.

Jackson nodded and leaned down to kiss her. She kissed him back and then pulled away to look at him. Her heart squeezed in her chest.

Jackson's dark hair was curled over the collar of his blue plain shirt. It was her favorite on him because it brought out his kind eyes. She couldn't help but smile back. Jack always meant well, but he didn't quite understand how the powerful Mikaelson foundation could help wolves like them in the Bayou.

"Jack, I don't want to have to do this. But there are kids out there who need this. They didn't have a Mary or a Rebekah and Marcel to take them in," Hayley explained. "They are just stuck out there in the Bayou…by themselves."

Jack smirked at her enthusiasm, "They ain't alone, Hayley. This is the Bayou. If they don't got kin from their pack, then they have us, the Crescents. We take care of our own."

"Do we, Jack?" Hayley asked, her voice rising. "I mean, there are kids who have been living in tents for months down there by the water. They may get fed and have clothes on their back, but that's not living. Those kids haven't been to school or anything. What kind of future is that?"

Jack plopped down in the rickety kitchen table.

"What wrong with just living off the land? Crescents have done that for decades. We don't need some fancy degree to be happy. You know?" Jack prompted. He splayed out his hands and looked at her with love in his eyes.

Hayley shifted a bit in her seat. She was glad Jackson hadn't heard anything about the "incident" during fourth period.

"What's wrong?" Jackson asked suspiciously.

"Nothing," Hayley chirped brightly. Her voice was an octave higher than it normally was. Now Jackson knew something was really wrong.

"Girl, don't lie to me. I know you're fibbin' when you sound too plum happy. Now, spill it before I get a mind to start tickling you," Jackson grinned.

Hayley rolled her hazel eyes. She hated it when Jackson started to tickle her, especially on her feet.

Jackson came closer with his fingers ready to start when Hayley blurted out the truth.
"Um, I got into a fight with that bitch Jean Ann Summers today," Hayley said.

"Oh my gosh, did you hurt her?" Jackson wondered. As a werewolf, Hayley, even in human form was much stronger than the largest, most well-muscled human.

"Ah no, the other girls and then the coach pulled me off before I drew blood. It's just that Coach Cormier, um, wasn't real happy," Hayley admitted, reddening. "She warned me before about fightin'."

"You got your butt popped didn't you?" Jackson determined with a slight smirk.

"Yeah, Jackson. But you have to promise not to tell anyone," Hayley pleaded. "Coach said she was doing us a favor on account of it being right before graduation. But I have this paper she wants signed and Mary's not here. I was going to forge it."

Hayley moved the laptop and revealed a typed sheet with another paper where Hayley was practicing Mary's signature.

"So that's what you was doing before I got in here?" Jackson pressed. He now looked sterner then she had every seen him before.

"Yes," Hayley confessed. "Jack, I was kinda embarrassed okay. I mean, I'm 18 and it was a stupid thing to do. I could have killed her. Everyone knows she's a stuck-up bitch."

"I think Ollie had a thing for her," Jackson grinned. "He ain't going be happy if you whupped her butt."

"I pushed her into a locker and bloodied her nose. She was fine, but Coach gave her the paddle, too," Hayley added, standing up to put a hand on Jackson's chest. "She called me a Bayou rat and a no-good orphan..."

Jackson wrapped Hayley in his strong arms. He knew that her parents dying when she was a baby always hurt her. He wondered how bullies always knew the one thing that would set someone off. Jackson didn't recall his parents much either, but he had always had Mary. And before he passed, he had a grandfather, too. Hayley had only had foster homes and she had been taken far away. Until she killed a guy in self-defense, she hadn't even known she was a werewolf.

"I'm sorry, honey. She shouldn't have said that," Jackson comforted.

"Thanks, Jack. I should have known you would get it," Hayley smiled.

"Oh, I get it. And you know that every time the boys and I got swats at school, we got a punishment at home," Jackson lectured.

"But Mary's not here. Plus, you know she can't take a switch to me or that awful strap in her condition," Hayley defended.

"Yup, it looks that that one strapin' you got from her was the first and last," Jackson teased. "And she promised me that she'd never lay a hand on you again..."

"She did?" Hayley asked, not liking where this is going. "Why?"

"Because I was afraid she would drive you away," Jackson confided. "And honestly, compared to Ollie and me, you just behave a lot better."

"I didn't always," Hayley grinned. "But I guess I am slightly more mature and less prone to trouble."

"Well, not this time, young lady," Jackson said firmly. "I am going to call my grandma and you are going to tell her you got a licking at school. I'll offer to punish you and sign the paper on her behalf."

Hayley was horrified, "But Jack, I don't want anyone to know!"

"You shoulda thought about that before you went and fought in the locker room, Hayley. Now, we're Crescents and we ought to do the right thing. Don't you think?" Jackson asked with a questioning look.

"Now, you show like an alpha," Hayley complained. He lifted up her chin.

"You are an alpha, too, of our pack. I never doubted that. But like my daddy used to say, 'Even the top dog needs a little nip sometime,'" Jackson quoted.

Hayley groaned and waited while Jackson stepped into his and Ollie's small bedroom and made the call. Ollie had driven Mary to see some other relatives up North. Ollie had a cousin there that he hadn't seen since before the Crescent curse. Jackson had looked forward to some alone time with Hayley since he found out about the trip. Now, he hoped that this punishment wouldn't spoil their first night alone together.

Jackson came back and handed the phone to Hayley. Her heard her "yes, ma'am" and "no ma'am" Mary about ten times before she handed the phone back to her boyfriend. He hung up a few minutes later.

"You want something to eat?" Hayley asked Jackson when he stepped into the kitchen. "I can make you a sandwich or something."

"No thanks. What about you? Did you eat?" Jackson questioned.

"Yes, well, not really. I'm not hungry now. I'd like to just get this over with," Hayley said evenly. Only a slight twitch of her mouth revealed any nervousness.

Jackson took a deep breath. "Hayley, why don't you go take your shower? I'll meet you in your room."

Hayley had taken over Aiden and Tommy's old room. Aiden was living in the city with Josh and Tommy was with Rebekah and Marcel in Mystic Falls. She could have gone with them, but she felt like her place was here with Jack and her pack. It never truly crossed her mind to leave.

Hayley didn't bother washing her hair, she put her long, brown locks in a messy bun. She did manage to quickly shave and then cover her body with a layer of lotion. She used a scented cream that drove Jackson crazy. Maybe she could distract him from his self-proclaimed 'duty.' But deep down, she knew when Jackson promised something, he would deliver.

Hayley put on a short cotton nightdress and a pair of cotton bikini underwear. Jackson had seen plenty of her, but this felt different. Tonight he was going to discipline her.

Jackson knocked and waited for her to answer before opening the door. He walked in and leaned against the wall.

"I was thinking about the first time I saw you, passed out from that siphon vamp with your neck all bloody. I thought that if you died, I would wanna die with you. It was love at first sight for me, Hayley," Jackson recalled.

"And everyone was calling me Andrea, the queen or some nonsense," Hayley remembered. "But all I wanted was a family and a way to help our people. And now I'm getting ticked off at high school bimbos and getting into trouble. I wonder if my parents would be disappointed in me."

"Disappointed? Hell, no! They would be as proud of you as we are. Look, darling, everyone gets into hot water sometime. But right now, you take your licks and move on. Ain't no one disappointed," Jackson said again. He moved to hug her and she saw the blue fly swatter in his hand.

"Oh Jack, the fly swatter! For real?" Hayley scoffed, almost ready to laugh. "You know I will heal." Hayley knew that Mary had swatted the boys with the fly swatter a few times, but it seemed silly to her.

"Yeah, I know but this thing is going to make you think twice about fighting humans. As Crescents, we only fight to protect our pack, our homes, and our very lives," Jackson determined.

"Whoa, that sounded good. Did you just make that up?" Hayley asked, impressed.

"Yeah, but it's true. All the infighting we did before almost brought us to destruction. We have to focus now, more than ever," Jackson intoned.

"It sounded impressive. Maybe write it down? Now, how do we do this?" Hayley wondered. She wanted to get the spanking over with so they could do something fun.

Jack looked around and spotted the rickety desk chair that barely fit in the small room. He flipped it around and put his foot on the rungs. Jackson gave Hayley a wry smiled and bend her over his thigh. He put his left arm over her back and slapped her behind with his right hand.

Whack!

"Owwww!" Hayley yelped in surprise. She didn't think Jack would smack her that hard.

"Sorry, Hayley, but you earned this," Jackson said, swatted her again.

Whack!

"I already got paddled today! Isn't this overkill," Hayley started to whine, but was cut off by the third smack. She would have thought her night gown and panties would muffled the smacks a bit more. Whack!

"Nope," Jackson said pleasantly. Hayley wondered if he was enjoying this.

Whack!

Hayley grunted and tried to pull herself up. She had had enough.

"No, you stay in place or I ain't going so easy on ya," Jackson warned. Whack.

"Ahhhhh," Hayley snarled. Her behind was burning and she shifted her weight. Whack.

She tried again to stand up, but felt Jackson lift up her nightie. Then, she felt him smack her over her panties.

Whack!

"Owwwww, damn it, Jackson. That is enough," Hayley groaned. He had caught her bare thighs and it smarted a lot worse.

Whack!

Jackson sighed and she then felt him pulled down her underpants. She stomped and tried harder to get up.

Whap!

"Ahhhh, what the hell?" Hayley squeaked. She tried to turn, but got another lick. Whap!

"That fly swatter smarts like a son of bitch. Don't it," Jackson reasoned.

Whap!

Whap!

"NO!" Hayley groaned. Tears were pooling in her eyes. She felt that the fly swatter was sucking in her skin somehow.

Whap!

Whap!

Jackson was now swatting one cheek, then the other.

Whap!

Whap!

Going back and forth.

Hayley had had a shitty day and was not in the mood for this.

Whap!

Whap!

She thought about the moment she lost her temper and shoved that little bitch today. She started to cry.

Whap!

Whap!

"Jack, she was a-afraid of m-me. I s-saw it in h-her eyes," Hayley stammered. "I felt like a m-monster. If the coach hadn't have been there, I w-would have h-hit her again."

Whap!

Whap!

"I used to lose my temper, too. But I'd get a lickin' every time. *Whap!* Whap!* Think of this the next time, if there is one.*Whap!* Cause I ain't gonna go so easy on you, Hayley," Jackson threatened. *Whap!*"You need this."

Whap! Whap!

Hayley sobbed, "Owwwww. I'm s-sorrry!"

Whap!

Whap!

Jackson had planned to give her a little more, but he was done. He couldn't stand to hear his beautiful queen crying. It broke his heart. But he knew that in their pack, the anger was deadly. She had needed this, but it was over.

"It's okay. I'm here now," Jackson said. He rubbed her pink rear and was ready to let her up when he heard something that surprised him.

"Y-You were right. I do need this," Hayley wailed.

Jackson decided to give her a few more. He didn't want to, but he had to. Tears pricked at his eyes, too.

"Okay, I'm going to give you ten more with my hand. You try to get up and you're getting my belt," Jackson declared. "And if I ever act the fool, you can do the same to me. I trust you. Do you trust me?"

Slap!

"Y-Yes, J-Jack, with m-my life," Hayley cried out.

Slap!

Jackson swatted Hayley's sit spots firmly. Then, he whacked her a bit lower, before returning to the fullest part of her bottom.

Slap! Slap!

Slap! Slap!

Slap! Slap!

Slap! Slap!

To Hayley's horror, the last few spanks were the hardest. She realized that before Jackson had been merely giving her love taps, compared to what he could have given her.

"Okay, let's get you up," Jackson said in tender voice.

Hayley sniffed and let Jack pull her up. Her anger and shame had melted. She threw one arm around him and with the other rubbed her behind through her nightie. Her bottom felt hot and itchy. But other parts of her were alive.

Soon, she and Jackson were kissing deeply. She pulled him to the bed and they made up.

Later, in the night, Hayley woke up to use the bathroom. Jackson was snoring softly beside her. Her wolf healing had taken over and she felt no ill effects of the spanking from hours before.

Jack had said she could return the favor if he ever acted like a fool. Had he really meant it? Only time would tell.

Hayley went to work a little on plans for the Crescent orphanage. She knew that she had a lot to do and little time to do it. Those kids, wolves or not, needed homes. And she wouldn't rest until she did her part.
