Videl was busy being shown around the lookout by Dende and Mr. Popo. She hadn't seen anything like it before but she had to admit that it has it's own charm and beauty. Though it did seem to be very isolated. And just breathing was so difficult this high up.

"Dende, how long have you lived up here?" Videl asked.

"Well I've officalle been the Guardian of Earth for about seven years now. I took over from Kami, who was also a Namekian." Dende answered her.

"Oh, okay. Did Kami retire or something? How does it work exactly?" Videl asked another.

"I guess in a way you could think of it like that. Piccolo and Kami fused back together, so I filled in Kami's place."

"Fused? Like when fusing two materials into a new one?" Videl was confused now.

"To be more accurate into their original form."

Videl's head was spinning a little bit at this point now. She was a little overwhelmed with all of this. She though learning about everything Gohana was teaching them would never be topped. Well, everything here has been pretty close.

Videl noticed Dende sort of flinch a little bit, and it looked like he was very focused all of a sudden.

"Sure, i got it" and he looked back at Videl.

"Here follow me. Gohana will he back soon."

"Wait, you just talked to her?" Videl was more confused.

"Yeah, Piccolo taught her how to talk telepathically. Follow me." As Dende walked off towards the time chamber.

Videl followed without another word. They were going a slightly different route that he didnt show her earlier. But not even a minute later they were at a door.

"Okay, so Gohana will meet you in here. Just please whatever you do, dont go outside until she gets in there with you." Dende opened the door for her.

"Wait is something wrong with the room?"

"No, well not exactly. I'll have Gohana explain to you when she gets in there, but if you leave the safety of the overhang the gravity becomes ten times normal."

Videl remembered the time Gohana even had a minor increase in gravity, but ten? Thinking ahead, Videl immediately pressed the button in her watch to take her training weights off. No way did she want to be wearing those in higher gravity.

Trying to gulp down her nerves, Videl walked into the room. Closeing the door behind her, Videl quikcly noticed the emptiness outside. Videl wanted to check it out, but remembered Dende's warning and instead just walked halfway across the room. It didnt take long for the door to open up again as Gohana walked in. Closing the door, Gohana looked back at Videl.

"Sorry it took me so long to get back." she appologized.

"Long? But didn't you just talk to Dende with your, telelathy was it? like not even two minutes ago?

"Wait did Dende not explain the room?" Gohana was now confused.

"Only that the gravity out there is ten times! And the air seems even thinner in here than it did out there." Videl started benting before stopping, getting a good look at Gohana.

"Hey, is something wrong?" Videl asked a bit worried?

Gohana was surprised a bit she could pick up on that. She gave herself what she thought was a decent amount of time to try and compose herself but clearly it wasnt enough.

"I...uhhh...found out who was training those thugs to use ki. I dont know who hired him...but...I..." Gohana looked down ashamed.

Videl walked over to her and looked up.

"Gohana, what happened."

Taking a deep breath, Gohana tried to relax as beat as she could.

"I lost control." she simply put.

"Lost control? Of what? What does that mean?" Videl asked.

"You remember when we first meet, i had that break down." Gohana comfortingly rubber her left arm with her right, not up near her shoulder but closer to the elbow.

"Yeah, who exactly could forget that."

"Well, you saw me there when I lost control of my grief. But...now I...sometimes..."

Videl could tell whatever it was Gohana was trying to say wasnt the easiest thing for her. But she didn't push it. She knew she would say it after composing herself.

"Sometimes when I get really anrgy, I just snap and my hyper protectivness and my Saiyan side..and my rage just...I lose control of myself. Vegeta and i think it's because im a hybrid. And just now...well...they...wont be teaching anyone else again." Gohana's voice fell a bit ashamed she lost control to that extent.

Videl immediately knew what she meant and the shock wasn't hidden well on her face very well. She killed them? This shy innocent girl in front of her kiled them. She did kill Cell of course, but still! And why would Gohana snap over her? They were just friends.

"Would...I know them?" Videl asked.

"Does the name Tao Pai Pai mean anything?" Gohana looked up a bit, a bit better.

"Tai...pai pai? You mean the wods deadliest assassin! He was after me? Oh fuck why!?" Videl was in a mix of fear and shock. Who didn't know of him!

Grabbing Videls hands comfortingly, Gohana just stared at her, and Videl oddly calmed by this Stared back.

"I will not let them hurt you!" Gohana said in a weird, calming yet aggressive, tone. Videl felt so weird she couldn't help but blush.

"I told the Chief you'd be able to defend yourself tomorrow, and I plan on making that happen."

Gohana let go of her hands and walked past her, now in the higher gravity area.

"Take your training weights off." Gohana instructed her, also noting she was wearing her simple usual outfit.

"You're wearing something under that right? Gohana asked.

"Seriously? Of course, i have a sports bra on you dolt!" Videl blushed.

"Okay, take your gloves, your hair ties, and your shirt off as well. Right now its just dead weight."

"Wait, seriously?"

"Would you rather them weight you downm The gravity is ten times higher out here.

Without much arguing, Videl took off anything she didnt need. Her shirt, her pig tail holders, even her gloves shoes and socks.

"I take it this will do?" Videl asked, getting a nod from Gohana.

"So where exactly does the extra gravity start?" Videl asked very nervously.

Gohana suddenly had a sheepish blank stare on her face and just looked at the stairs. Walking towards them, she tried to think back where she first felt the gravity when she and her dad came in first. Videl watched as it was obvious Gohana was trying to figure it out herself. Videl was a little nervous now.

"About right here." Gohana stood, vaguely rememebering this spot and juat barely even registering the gravity herself.

Walking right up next to her, Videl shrank down a little bit right before Gohana. She remembered what higher gravit felt like from before, and this was even higher.

"Are, you sure its safe?" Videl asked very nervously and sheepishly.

Gohana was oddly mesmerized, she had never seen Videl like this before? She was used to seeing Videl so confident in herself, even if she wasnt correct in what she was thinking. But now she seemed so vulnerable, and seeing her hair fully down only added to it it.

'Wow, she looks kinda cute like this!' Gohana thought to herself, but blushed a little and tried shaking it out of her head.

Videl heard a weird noice from Gohana and looked up seeing her fluttering over nothing.

'What the hell got into her?'

"You okay Gohana?"

Gohana snapped out of her own head and stood at attention all of a sudden.

"Yea its safe!" she blurted out suddenly.

Taking a deel breath, Gohana calmed heraelf down. She was probably just very on edge with what happenee witb Tao, that must be it.

"Yes it should be safe. You're a lot stronger now, and having control of your ki can help. Juwt raise your energy a bit and it will help strengthen your body. Just take it literally one step at a time."

Taking a deel breath, Videl sheepishly inched forward until she was right next to Gohana. pushing her foot past, Videl immediately felt he foot become incredibly heavy and just put it onto the ground. Though it wasn't as bad as she was expecting. Keeping her solid footing, she dragged her body out past the threshold, making sure to get her ki flowing. She had to admit it was helping.

It took several minutes but Videl was soon fully standing in the gravity, only a foot in front of Gohana.

"F...fuuck...ing...hell..."

"Wow, I'm impressed. I think will start with just getting you used to walking around first." Gohana casually walked past her as if nothing changed, hands casually in her pant pockets.

"Okay, just try walking to me then." Gohana casually instructed.

Videl felt kinda talked down to, like a child. Though she knew Gohana was actually trying to help, it didnt change it felt so demoralizing.

With a lot of struggle, Videl spent the next ten minutes just walking the six feet to Gohana, having to hold herself up with her hands on her knees by the time she got there. She wanted to sit down but she knew she wouldn't be able to get back up. Standing fully straight, she looked determined back up at Gohana.

"Okay, what next" she tried smirking victoriously.

Gohana had Videl spend rest of the day just practice moving around in the heightened gravity. Even did a few bodyweight squats, though those were more so out of necessity.

"I gotta say Videl, you did really great today!" She praised Videl who was just panting, finally resting laying down on the ground.

"Fuck, even just breathing..."

"You'll get used to it. The thinner air and higher gravity will really do a number on you. Back when dad and i spent a year in here it was worse, the temperature would wildly swing from well below freezing to dangerously high heat randomly."

"The weather will change!?" Videl panicked, still unable to move.

"No no, not anymore! Dende changed that aspect. but kept the gravity and air. But I think thats enough for today. Will pick it up tomorrow." Gohana knelt down and just picked Videl up. She knew she was too tired to get back up.

Videl shrieked out in surprise and clung to Gohana out of reflex, but realized just relaxing into her arms felt nice. She didnt have to do anything, and she was getting out of the gravity. It was oddly relaxing, knowing how much Goahana cared about her safety.

Once in the safety of the main room, and out of the gravity, Videl felt instant relief. The air was still a bit thin but not feeling the gravity anymore was the best feeling ever.

"I'm gonna put you down now. Just take it easy at first, alright?" Goahan tild her, lookign down at Videl.

Videl instantly turned away and blushed a bit, this was so embarrassing! Gently setting Videl down on her feet, Videl barely picked her foot up and nearly lost her balance.

"Woah, what the!?" Videl felt like she had to flail about to not overcompensate. Even picking her leg up made her feel like she would fall backwards.

"What gives! I cant move properly!" Videl freaked out a bit, now a bit to scared to move, just standing there with her feet spread a bit and her arms out balancing herself. Gohana just laughed a little bit unable to control herself.

"Its normal, don't worry. Your body has been in ten times gravity for a while. Now that its back in normal gravity your muscles are overcompensating. They'll readapt."

Taking it slowly, Videl very purposely and deliberately focused on returning to a regular standing postion. Moving slowly at first did help.

Once she was standing normally, she kept flexing and straightening her arm, flexing her hands.

"This feels so weird! I'm sore all over, but its so different. Like a really deep soreness. I dont think I'll even be able to move tomorrow."

"Dont worry, will mostly practice some ki control tomorrow."

"Wait, weve already spend maybe half the day in here! We wont have time for that tomorrow!" Videl asked very confused.

"Oh, Dende didn't tell you? This room is special. Only a day passes outside, but an entire year passes inside!"

"Wait you mean to tell me were gonna spend a year on here!" Videl started panicking.

"No, not a full year! I was thinking about a week or two." Gohana quickly tried to reassure her.

"But, cloths, food? I dont have anything."

"Relax, we have everything we need even if we did want to stay in here a year. There's enough food for that long, and I have training cloths stored, and a washer and drying in the bathroom!" Gohana continued to try and reassure her and make her feel a bit more confortable.

Videl was still a bit apprehensive, but Gohana seemed to have everything planned out for this. And she trusted Gohana. At this point probably more than anyone, even more than Erasa and Sharpner! Maybe them training and stopping crime together helped with that. Still, it felt weird being in here for a while with barely any time passing outside. But that at least did explain how Gohana was confident she could get her ready by tomorrow.

--

Gohana was busy cooking them up some food. Since she hadn't trained today, yet, she wasn't super hungry so she didn't need too much like usual. While Gohana was busy cooking, Videl was soaking in the hot bath.

She could really tell tomorrow she would be feeling this. But for now just relaxing with the hot water, letting it help sooth her sore, everything! she could even feel her bones were sore. She was very glad the gravity didnt extend to the living area.

"Man, that was only ten. But Gohana said she can do hundreds more?"

Videl was just deep in thought as she just let her body and mind fully relax in the nice hot bath. About everything. How she was right about Cell all along, and about ki not being a trick. And now her training with Gohana! She was learning all of that, how would her dad react? She knew the news would get out about her flying later tonight outside. But thanks to Gohana teaching her to use ki, she didn't die today! She would deal with the media later, afterall she now had at least a week, but she wasn't sure she could face them.

Gohana though could do just about everything she put her mind to. She beat Cell, supposedly shes the strongest fighter in her friends, she is insanely hyper intelligent. She never meet someone so smart before! And she already apparently had a highly paid engineering job! Though she only passively mentioned it, but at only seventeen she works at Capsule Corp. Is that because she knows the Briefs family? Not to mention she is so innocent and humble and just wants to keep her friends and family safe. She has a great relationship with her siblings and family. And she wasnt even the least bit bothered by her dad being Hercule. Videl had never meet anyone so perfect like her before.

"Goahana, you'd be the perfect boyfriend if you were a guy." Videl softly thought outloud in her relaxed daze and sighed.

Videls eyes shot open as she quickly realized what she said, bolted up fast causing a lot of water to splash onto the floor, causing a loud noise both from her own shock and the water splashing everywhere.

Videl was beat red and panting heavily.

'What the heck did I just say?'

A knock on the door brought Videl out of her own mind.

"Videl, you okay in there?"

"What! Yes, I splashed just too hard!" Videl blurted out to keep her from coming in to check on her.

"Okay, makes sense. Well dinner is almost ready. But take your time."

Videl just sat there thinking back about what she just said. Did she really just say that? Why would she say that.

Thinking back to what was going through her mind before she said that, she was thinking about all of Gohana's good qualities. But why would that bother her Gohana has those qualities? Why would she be so flustered over juat a thought. Why would she be so flustered around Gohana? Or compare her to a boyfriend? But then it hit her. Whenever Erasa used to ask her what her type of guy she likes, every quality she would say applies to Gohana, even the pie in the sky dream qualities.

'No way...do I...have a crush on Gohana?' Videl finally put two and two together, face even redder.

A half hour later, Videl finally got the courage to walk out of the bathroom, wearing some spare pajamas Gohana lent her. She was surprised at just how many spare cloths she had. It was obvious she used this place prior. Walking out with the towel still dralled over her shoulders so her long hair could dry, Videl found Gohana sitting at the table with food. Videl paused for a moment, but walked over to the table. The chair being pulled out snapping Gohana out of her head.

"Oh, hey you sure took your time. I take it the hot water was that relaxing huh." Gohana just smiled like she usually does.

Videl lightly blushed, but luckily all the hot water made her skin a bit flushed so it wasnt apparent.

"Yeah, i mean...juat thinking...relaxing." Videl avoided Gohanas gaze but noticed papers all over the table in front of her.

"Hey, whats that? It doesn't look like homework."

Gohana quickly grabbed all the papers scattered and stacked them quickly out of reflex. Sheepishly she glanced back at Videl.

"Sorry, reflex. Its...something for work thats not public. I can't let anyone see it. If it leaks out I could lose my job there. And i actually like it."

Gohana noticed a slightly confused look on Videls face.

"Sorry Im so used to people from rival companies trying to steal stuff we work on. I usually only share it with Bulma." Goahana stood up and bowed. "Sorry it's not that i dont trust you, but i just panicked out of reflex."

'Damn it, you're too polite for your own good Gohana.'

"Hey don't worry, I get it. Hey you changed as well. Are you going to train?" noticing Gohana was juat in sweatpants and a sports bra herself.

"Yeah, once I finished a few things here. I figured you would be so exhausted you'd eat and pass out."

"I am ready to just pass out. But yeah, I think I'll eat first. So what are you going to train?" Videl asked and sat down and started immediately eating, with a bit more gusto than usual.

"Probably some self sparring honestly." Gohana answered and looked back down at the papers.

'Self sparring? Does she mean shadow boxing?' Videl though, too busy eating to ask. She couldn't remember being this hungry before. But she didn't feel self conscious too much around Gohana.

"Sorry I'm not too good a cook by the way. I hope you like it."

"Are you kidding me i so hungry from the training this is probably the best food ive had." as she continued to eat.

Gohana watched Videl eating at a much faster pace than normal. Nothing like her though, but more than a normal human. She thought back to when Lime started training with her, after just the first day of real training her appetite skyrocketed. But with the amound of energy and ki being used, of course needing more food than normal was to be expected.

"Hey, do you want some earpluggs by the way?"

"Earplugs? for what?" Videl asked confused.

"So i don't wake you up. I'll be training probably for maybe four or five hours." Gohana answered as she put the papers away. "I'd prefer not waking you up."

"Oh, no it fine. I think I'll be too tired to be woken up anyway. I cant imagine anything you could do in training that will wake me up." Videl smiled reassuringly

--

Videl jolted awake from a loud noise that somewhat repeated. Reaching off the side of the bed for her alarm clock.

"Nnnn stupid...alarm...clock." Videl reached for where her alarm clock is but only hit air. Still tired, she tried a few more times, still missing.

With this Videl actually opened her eyes and took the blankets off from her face, taking in her surroundings. At first she didn't recognize it but she very quickly remembered where she was. Sitting up quickly, her muscles screamed at her in soreness, which only cased Videl be be now fully awake. Slowly swinging her feet over the edge, she heard a loud booming noise again and looked out.

Walking slowly to one of the pillars so she could lean, while still well within the safe zone, she looked out at what could be making that noise. Though she imagined it was Gohana's doing, she didn't expect to see what she did.

Gohana slammed into the ground hard, flipping herself over and blocked a downward kick from her bunshin copy. Grabbing its legs, Gohana slammed her clone into the ground. Following up with her fist into its stomach, her clone getting the wind knocked out of her.

Her clone kicked Gohana hard in the back, making her go flying forward. Kicking itself upright, her clone vanished and reappeared in font of Gohana, kicking her straight up into the air.

"Masenko-haa!"

Blasting its energy beam up towards Gohana, Gohana barely had time to dodge it. Taking a pretty solid hit on her arm, shooting down some ki blasts that circled closely around the masenko beam. The blasts hit the clone dead on, but her clone didn't seem too surprised by it, able to brace for them.

Speeding down towards the ground, Gohana and her clone started throwing a flurry of punshes and kicks, and Videl was juat watching in awe.

She couldnt folow them very well, but they would phase in and out of sight constantly, all over the place. She knew they were just moving too fast for her to see. But trying to focus, Videl could soon see them a tiny bit better. But not by much. What confused her more than anything, why was there two Gohana's? Did this room have a special ability to make a copy of you? If nothing else, this did explain what Gohana meant by Self sparring earlier.

'Just how strong is she?' Videl though, sitting down to try and watch, being the first time shes truely seen her fight or train properly.

The two Gohana's continued their furry of blows, neither of them giving up. Her clone got a lucky fist to her stomach, causing Gohana to double over in pain. Jumping to just above Gohana, her clone extended its arms as a powerful ki blast formed at its hands.

"Gohana!" Videl nearly screamed without thinking.

The clone immediately heard this and turned to see Videl watching her.

"Oh, you're awake?" The clone said and stopped the ki blast.

Gohana herself hadn't heard either Videl or her clone, blasting her own point blank kamehakema at her clone up in the air. Jumping after her to follow up.

"Wait." the clone tried starting but just barely dodged a punch to her face.

Going Super Saiyan, her clone grabbed Gohana's arm and flung her down and aimed her to land near the main building. The extra force however made Gohana skid across the ground a bit before catching heself not too far from the building. Her clone, still in Super Saiyan, appeared in front of her, pointing behind her.

Looking behind her, Gohana finally noticed that Videl was awake as the clone glowed in a weird light and went into Goahana, ending the technique

"Sorry, did I wake you up?"

Videl was just looking at Gohana, having no idea what the heck she just watched.

"Well since you're awake, did you want some food? i could go for some breakfast myself." Gohana tried to get Videl to say anything.

"Just now...Im used to seeing you fight criminals. But I've never seen you actually fighting. But with yourself? Um, what was that?"Videl asked knowing full well Gohana would explain it.

"Oh, that was a technique I learned from Tien and Piccolo. It basically makes a clone of yourself. Its not something very useful in combat but it has its used for training."

"A clone...right."

Noticing how bad Gohana looked with scratches, bruises everywhere, and some blood, Videl was amazed she could still move. If she looked like that she was sure she'd be either exhausted in said fight or in bed in pain. But Gohana just looked like it was nothing not out of the norm.

"How is something like that not usefull when fighting though? Wouldn't it mean you have twice as many people?" Videl asked.

"Well, yes. But it divides your strengths. So with just one clone im limited to just half my strength and speed and power. But when training alone I use it sometimes. Its a good way to get stronger!"

Gohana stretched her arms overhead and yawned, at this point very tired now and then stretching to the side.

"Well it's getting late. I think Im going to shower and then get some sleep. You should try getting some more sleep yourself. You'll really need it."

--

Videl couldn't sleep though. She just layed there, staring at the ceiling. Her mind was buzzing all over the place. Not just training, and dealing with the media once they leave, but just the thought of liking Gohana.

Though at first the idea didnt offend her or anything. it just seemed to come out of nowhere! She never thought of another girl like that before, but she never really felt as safe around anyone as Gohana either! Was it Gohana specifically as a person she had a crush in?

Sitting up, Videl just sighed. Getting up from the bed, swent over to the kitchen like area to get some water. She could already feel the soreness from the heightened gravity training really kicking in at the moment.

"Oh, what am I going to do?" Videl asked herself after finishing her water.

Videl didn't have that much longer to think to herself before the door to the chamber slammed open and she saw someone storm into the chamber, and making an odd effort to make sure it stayed open.He glarred over at her, but them huffed.

"Where's Gohana?" he simly asked.

"What? Wait who the heck are you? I'm not telling you anything!" Videl suddenly spat back out.

"Oh, so she has a spine unlike her father. Be thankful I'm more worried about Gohana than annoyed." He said and looked over, noticing Gohana sleeping in the bed.

"What, how do you know my father!? You dont know the first thing about him." Videl defended her dad, although deep down she had a feeling she knew what he meant.

Vegeta didn't listen to her and just started walking over to Gohana. Videl quickly ran in front of him, attempting to block his path.

"Nnnn, look I don't have time for this." Vegeta said and vanished from her sight, reappearing next to Gohana's bed.

"Hey, Gohana! Wake up!" Vegeta screamed at her, causing Gohana to only stir slightly, curling herself up a bit more and keel her relaxed asleel breathing.

"Oh for fucks sake." Vegeta used his foot and flipped the bed on its side, causing Gohana to fall onto the floor with a shriek of surprise. Pulling the bed back down to normal, he saw Gohana glaring up at him very annoyed.

"Vegeta what the hell is your problem!" Gohana shouted at him, getting herself up.

"Wait, Vegeta? You're that other Saiyan, right? The one Gohana trains with?"

"Well, smarter than you look." Vegeta gave her a rare complement before looking down at Gohana.

"We need to talk, in private. Now!" Vegeta said before walking towards the opening and flew off without another word.

Videl could juat barely make him out when she noticed that he landed, he flew so fast. Videl was glad she had put two and two together, but what exactly was going on? Was this normal between the two of them?

"Geeze, couldn't he have at least waited until we got out? It's barely going to be like an hour at most outside." Gohana stretched a bit at least before floating a bit.

"Guess I'll be right back."Gohana told Videl and headed off towards Vegeta.

--

Landing next to Vegeta, Gohana was now the one who seemed more annoyed than Vegeta.

"So care to explain exactly what the hell is going on?" Gohana asked him, arms crossed.

"I'll make this quick. Just what was that power just now?" Vegeta asked, getting a confused look from Gohana.

"Just now?" Gohana asked confused, still groggy so spacing on the time dialation difference.

"Okay, fine. Just now for me, probably yesterday for you. Way out in the middle of nowhere." Vegeta clarrified.

Gohana now knew what he meant and her expression soon turned south. Gohana unfolded her arms and looked down.Neither of them said a word. Gohana still hadn't gotten over the shock of what she had done. And Vegeta was just waiting for a response, still glarring at her.

"Fine, you don't have to answer me what happened. But what was that strange power you had?"

"Strange...power? I thought it was just my rage?"

"I've felt your rage, both first hand and on the sideline. But those rage boosts of yours dont have their own distinct feeling. They just magnify your power just like Super Saiyan, or your fathers Kaio ken technique. Today was different."

He couldn't help but notice the confusion on her face now, did she seriously have no clue the power she used?

"Gohana, I need you to tell me exactly what happened, even if you dont like it. It could be another Saiyan instinct." Damn her hybrid nature! Always her Saiyan and human instincts either clashing with each other or magnifying each other!

Gohana slowly explained what happened earlier today at the police station, how Videl was in extreme danger now. Vegeta didn't seem to disturbed criminals knew how to use ki suddenly, but he found them unworthy of an ability making a comment about it. Gohana really had to take a few deep breaths though, she could already sense her energy reacting to even thinking about it, Vegeta quickly noticing something.

"They were trained to kill Videl. I found out who was training them..." Clenching her fists again.

"I found them, and I made sure they will never hurt her." Gohana's vocie slightly lowered, as a slight faint red hue seemed to envelop her.

"Do you remember what you did to them? From what I recall your little rage boosts make you a bit more violent." Vegeta pushed Gohana a little bit more, having an idea what happened, but wanting to make sure it wasn't a simple rage boost.

"I killed them. I killed every single one of them that were there. And the person that was training them..." Gohana's voice lowered a little bit again as she thought about it, what they were doing. Her anger was continuing to rise even higher, and he entire body tensed as that slight red hie appeared sibtly, Vegeta noticing this.

"I made sure he had the worse of it!"

Vegeta was surprised to hear this from Gohana of all people. Not that it would make any differdifferet this wasn't like her. She wanted to keep her friend safe, just like her family. Must just be her hyper protectivness kicking into a bit of overdrive. No, something about this seemed Saiyan in nature, not Gohana specific. Maybe magnified due to being a hybid perhaps, but Saiyan nature.

"Well she's safe, so get over it. But still doesn't explain that weird power."

Calming down now, Gohana was nore confused now. She already explained what happened, yet he was still asking what she was doing?

"What are you talking about? I got angry and lost control of my ki! That's all I know. Why not at least explain what it felt like so I at least have an idea what on Earth you're going off about!" Gohana snappee, her anger pretty much gone about earlier, bit it only increased her annoyance at Vegeta right now.

"You ki. It kept spiking and plummeting erratically. Usually your little emotional outburts do make your ki fluctuate like crazy, but this was completely different. I can't place it either, but it certianly didnt feel normal. Almost like you were there one second, gone the next, and there again, but not fully gone."

Gohana thought back as well, what her ki was doing. She couldn't think of anything her ki would be doing, let alone with nothing to go off she didn't have any idea what to even think back for.

"Erratic and didn't feel normal. When you say "not normal", how did it not feel normal?"

"To be honest, your power wasn't that high, so I cant really tell. All I could tell was something was off. But I guess since you don't even know then I wont get my answer."

"Sorry. I don't know what was wrong with me though. all I know is it was almost like against Cell and his little clones of himself, but just...more."

This caught Vegeta's attention.

"More?"

"Yeah. I mean, sort of the same yet different. Even now I'm a bit better about controlling my anger, and grief. And in training with Piccolo I have lost it a few times, but more so like when I killed Cells little copies. But this...It was so much deeper than that. I wanted them all to suffer, even those some of them didn't do anything." Gohana closed her eyes trembling, thinking about it now scaring her.

"And now im scared something is wrong. I'm scared it will happen again. I don't know what got into me." Gohana weakly said, Vegeta also curious, but thinking he may have an idea.

"Let me guess, you want to protect your friend over there," pointing back towards the enterance to the chamber where Videl was, " but the thought of losing her specifically makes you go far greater than rage, but insane, and blind with bloodlust?" Vegeta guessed.

Gohana's eyes shot open, yes! That was exactly how she would discribe earlier! Though she hadn't thought of that wording herself, it was spot on.

"Wait, how did you know?" Gohana looked shocked and confused at him now.

"Relax, I dont think anything id wrong with you." Vegeta just crossed his arms, pretty sure he knew what was going on from her exaining earlier and him guessing just now.

"Tell me, what do you think of your friend over there?" Vegeta asked, getting a very confused look from Gohana who just blankly stared at him.

Vegeta just continued to stare back at Goahana, not saying a word. Eventually Gohana's face blushed slighly with how awkward and embarrassing this conversation and situation was for her. She eventually at least broke eye contact with him and started thinking about his question, but also why it mattered.

"Well, I guess I like being around her. And we get to fight crime together so thata kinda neat." Gohana flatly answered.

"And when shes sad or in danger, what's your reaction?"

Gohana immediately knew about if she was angry or in danger, especially after today. But sad? Thinking back to it, Gohana recalled back to that night at her mothers grave. Videl opened up to her a lot that night. And Videl seemed so sad telling her about what had happened to her. Every fiber if her being wanted to keep her safe. She wanted to comfort her, like had when she lost it day one. She wanted to make sure she felt safe with her.

"Well, if she's in danger I think you know the reaction. And if she's sad, I just want her to feel better, it kinda hurts seeing her so upset! I just want to make her happy when she's sad."

'That's it then.' Vegeta though to himself.

"Well the good news is theres nothing really wrong with you, not as a Saiyan at least. Human's may see it differently, however. But as far as Saiyan's, its not that uncommon."

Gohana now looked confused, having no idea what Vegeta was even talking about now. Though she wasn't worried anymore, now just very curious what he was going on about.

"Okay, except I have no idea what you're talking about. If this is a Saiyan thing, what is it?"

"You've begun bonding with her." Vegeta flatly answered her.

In a way, Gohana was now more confused. Of course they've bonded! They're friends, they hang out and share stuff all the time. Shes bonded with Sharpner and Erasa as well. Maybe more so with Videl thanks to training and crime fighting together but still.

"That's what friends do Vegeta." Gohana finally responded, Vegeta immediately realizing the phrasing was different here.

Vegeta thought for a moment on how else to word it, and Gohana knowing he was thinking so didn't interrupt. Trying to think in terms if an Earthling, Vegeta mentally went through some of the dramas he had over the years. He never stopped watching them once he picked back up training, having found he enjoyed them. And Gohana ordered him to make sure he took some downtime as well. He realized it did help with underatanding Earthlings a bit better, and socially it had helped a little bit in the past when Trunk or Bulma dragged him somewhere. Then the phrasing, or as close to the proper Earthling phrasing, hit him.

"You're falling in love and choosen her as your partner."

Goahana's entire body tensed up as her face went as red as it possibly could. If she still had her tail, it would have been puffed up to the max as well.

"Relax, it's not that uncommon for a Saiyan. Especially when a particularly powerful warrior Saiyan picks a weaker warrior Saiyan as their mate."

Gohana's face was still completely red, and her movements stiff.

"But...were both girls!" Gohana blurted out.

"And your point is exactly? Why would that matter? They only thing that detail effected was breeding." Vegeta said with a slight hint of confusion why that even mattered.

Gohana nervously looked down and started foddling with her hands. She had no clue what to say. She had never felt so embarassed or shy.

"Wait, you seriously didn't even realize that?" vegeta asked, now his turn to be confused.

"How would I have realized that?!" Gohana spat back.

Vegeta just growled a bit, still a bit surprised and annoyed. She did almost this exact same thing when she had a crush on Krillin! Though there it wasn't bonded, just affection. But even then she flat out thought she had a crush on him. How could she not realize she had a crush on her friend?

"Are you really that thick headed?" Vegeta barely got out.

"What makes you think I would realize i have a crush on another girl! My first crush was Krillin when i was eleven! That's the only point of reference I have as I've never thought of another girl like that either!" Gohana's face had not gotten any more a normal color, but she was off the initial shock.

"So tell me then. If your little friend over there was a guy, would you find them attractive if they were the same in literly every other way?" Vegeta tried to make his point.

Gohana hadn't thought of that before. In the back of her mind she ways figured she'd fall for someone and have a family. Looking back towards the building, Gohana tried to think of all the qualities Videl had, but as a guy. Gohana could definitely feel something. It was similar to when she realized she had a cruah on Krillin, but it was a stronger.

"I...yes." Goahan mumbled under her breath low enough Vegeta could only hear it because there was literally no other sound in the chamber.

Vegeta just watched Gohana get very embarrassed, and really wasnt sure if he should say anything, or wanted to for that matter. He was serioualy just more shocked she couldn't realize that herself without someone pointing it out. She is a literally genious in both mind and fighting! How can she seriously be this dumb! In the end, he decided to at least help her out seeing as she literally had no other Saiyan to help her.

"Do with it what you will."

Gohana finally glanced back at him, but was so embarassed looked down quickly. This would explain so much why she felt so calm and happy around Videl. She never thought anything of it though, at least until now. Yeah she was strong, in her own way. She fought to keep those weaker than herself safe, she didn't like to show off. She loved kids obviously given how much she seemed to enjoy being around Goten and Raina, and they obviously liked Videl. And she had a strong sense of doing whats right.

Gohana just continued to think about all the positive attributes Videl had going for her, and literally everything just made her realize that Vegeta was right. She was falling for Videl, she was literally almost everything she thought she liked in another person. She was a little embarrassed realizing she had a crush on anybody, she didn't expect that, but now that it was flat out exained, she really couldn't deny it either.

'I never thought I'd fall for another girl.' Goahan though, her senses starting to come back to her.

Finally standing normally, but still face very much still blushing.

"Should i tell her?" Gohana asked Vegeta.

"And why the hell would you ask me that for?" Vegeta was thrown off by the question.

"Well, I mean would a Saiyan tell that to the other Saiyan?"

"Damn it, I told you what was hapening to you. Do whatever the hell you want with it!" Vegeta barked at her.

"Besides shes a human, not a Saiyan. And even then not every Saiyan reciprocated that bond. I'm fairly certian with a human it would be the same. My advice, dont do anything until you've given it some though." Vegeta started to walk off.

Gohana just looked off into the emptiness of the chamber. Okay, so she had a crush on Videl, that much was at least clear to her now But what next? Should she tell Videl at all? Soon? Never?

Gohana wasn't sure, but now the thought crossed her mind. What if she did confess these feeling to Videl after she had some time to process them. What if Videl didnt return them? What if that scared her away! Gohana was now suddenly torn, and the thought of Videl not being her friend anymore because of these feelings was triggering her fear of losing someone she cared about. That only made her realize it more that she was falling for her! She had heard so many times about friends confessing and then splitting when the other didn't feel the same! No, she didn't want to lose Videl even as just a friend! She felt so mixed and conflicted now, and decided to take Vegeta's advice and not do anything about it just yet.

'Oh Kami, what the hell do i do?' Gohana thought to herself.

A sudden tap on her shoudler pulled Goaha out of her head so harshly it spooked her and she jumped and turned around only to see Vegeta still there.

"What the hell are you trying do Vegeta, scare me to death!?" Gohana screamed at her, her heart racing.

"Dont give me that shit! Ive been trying to get your attention for the last few minutes!" Vegeta snapped at her.

"Oh? um, sorry. I was thinking." Gohana appologized, face almost normal but still slightly flushed.

"That part was obvious. Still, what exactly are you doing in here anyway? I know its to train her up to keep her safe but what if we need to use it in the future? Why waste what little time you have left in here on her!?" Vegeta seemed very angry about this.

Gohana was taken back this was the question. Of course she would bring her in here! For all she knew, they could attack her tomorrow morning! This was the only way to get in enough training in a short time.

"Wait, after everything we juat talked about, of course I'd bring her in her! She's obviously in danger!"

"Damn it Goahan, we train to keep Earth safe if a threat comes! I cant use the time chamber anymore, I've used up my two days. So why the hell are you spending what little time you have left for something small like this!?" Vegeta was screaming at her.

Gohanas face quickly shifted from annoyed and embarrassed, so awkward and appologetic.

"Oh, I guess I never told you." Gohana nervously rubbed the back of her head

"Told me? Told me what?" Vegeta's anger was visibly rising.

"Dende...sorta upgraded the time chamber..."

"He what?"

"The time restriction is lifted. And we used Shenron to make it you only age at a fourth the rate."

Vegeta was trembling in anger now. Why didnt she tell him this before? How long ago was this? Had she used it.

"And just how long have you spent in here since after you first used it." Vegeta was trying to contain himself.

"A...year and a half"

Vegeta punched Gohana as hard as he could, sending her flying farther into the chamber. Vegeta just stood there trembling still.

, fumming! How the hell could she keep this from him. How long has it been able to do this?

He stood there as he saw Gohana eventually flying back, rubbing her cheek.

"I guess i deserved that one."

"You're fucking right you do. How long are you staying in here with her?"

"Maybe a week or two." Goahana answered but then blushed realizing shed be alone and isolated with the girl she just realized she was falling for."

"How long on the outaide."

"Um, about maybe fourty five minutes to an hour."

Without another word, Vegeta flew back to the building, and Gohana could still hear the door slamming dispite how far away it was. Gohana knew he was probably waiting for them to finish and spend some time in here. If she had to guess, he would match the year and a half she and Piccolo had spent in here. Still, she couldn't blame him.

Then it hit her. She would now be alone, woth her newfound crush, in an isolated room, for a week or so. Gohana now seriously wished that Vegeta decided to butt in and stay inside.

'Okay, You got this Gohana! Just dont make it obvious! You'll be fine!' she tried to reassure herself.

--

Videl just sat near the same pillar waiting for Gohana to come back. What was taking her so long though? That Vegeta guy had left nearly an hour ago, and she could tell Gohana was just more or less standing there. Or walking back insanely slowly. She didn't know what happened between them, or what was normal, but she really hoped Gohana was alright!

Eventually, she finally could tell that Gohana was walking back. But why wasn't she flying? Something muat have been wrong! Why elae would she be walking when it seemed like it took them ten seconds to fly that distance!

Gohana finally crossed the threshold where the gravity was normal, and Videl immediately went up to her.

"Are you alright? You were gone almoat an hour and. ahalf after he left! He didnt hurt you did he?"

Gohana looked down at Videl, being taller than her, and could barely hold back blushing.

"Yeah, totally fine, nothing wrong at all!" Gohana forced out and tried laughing casually.

Videl could tell something did happen based on how obvious Gohana was trying to hide something. But she did want to pry. If Gohana said it was fine, than it was fine. End of story

"Im just glad you're alright. I was worried." Videl sighed with reliefe, Gohana taking forever to come back had made her really worried, and then stretched out.

"Anyway, I think I'm gonna finally get back to sleep." Videl said as she yawned.

"Oh, yeah sleep would be good. Vegeta did wake me up."

Gohana was glad to have an excuse to not be right in front of Videl right now. She didn't think that she could not act normal. At least right away.

'Man this will be rough!' Goahan thought to herself.

How would she contain her feelings about the girl shes allarently falling for, when isolated with said girl?
