Morning

Marcel rambled to himself, "'Oh Marcel, you are an adult...but I'm still gonna whup your ass anytime I feel like it because I'm Elijah!' I am 200 years old and I gotta deal with this?"

Marcel peeled down his sleep pants and grimaced at the light welts on his behind from that heavy wooden ruler, especially on his thighs. Marcel heard a knock on his door and replaced his pants. It was Josh.

"Man, you are here early!" Marcel said, injecting some false gaiety into his tone. He was grateful for Josh stepping in for him. He knew what he was asking from him.

"Yeah, um, Elijah invited the fam here for breakfast," Josh said, looking at Marcel with curiosity. "What were you just doing?"

Marcel exhaled and showed Josh his reddened backside for a second.

"Ouch! It looks like...someone got ya with my ruler?" Josh gasped.

"Yeah, it was my uncle. He didn't like me questioning him on putting that psycho Aurora in as a student at Hayley's school," Marcel said. "He put me right over his knee like he did was I was ten and didn't pay attention during my lessons. See, you ain't ever too old around here."

"Wait, go back to Aurora! Elijah wants her to go to school? Isn't she like 900 or something?" Josh quipped.

"Older. I guess he has two siphons who are going to weaken her, meds, and he plans to compel her. I don't know. I just don't like it. And Josh, what made you coat that freakin' ruler with vervain?" Marcel spat.

"Honestly, your method wasn't really working on the daywalkers. I was spanking two of the new crop and they laughed at me because they were healing so fast. Ended that pretty quickly with a bit of liquid vervain," Josh intoned. "You can see how well the newest group is doing."

"Yeah, I might be standing at breakfast. Did you need something? Cause if not, I have to shower or Elijah will whoop me again for being late for breakfast," Marcel complained. He rubbed his butt and frowned.

"Yeah, that wouldn't be good. I won't keep you but I thought you would want to know. There is a pretty, young witch named Alexis, making breakfast with Elijah? The seer?" Josh ventured.

"What? She's here...but she's Lucien's witch!" Marcel exclaimed.

"It now seems like she is a Mikaelson witch. They seem pretty chummy," Josh said. "I better go. Sara already knocked a plant over in the courtyard...Next she'll be jumping off a balcony."

"A gallery," Marcel correct with a smile. "I'll be done in ten."

Josh turned his head as if he were listening elsewhere and vamped out. Marcel stripped and went to take a hot, very hot shower. They were supposed to leave in a few hours.

What the hell was Elijah up to?

Kitchen

The Compound

"There you go," Elijah coaxed. Christopher was stirring the pancake batter and Sara was "stirring" the fruit salad. "Nice job."

Aiden sat at the table chatting with Alexis.

"I know you are a seer...Can you tell me why kids wake up so early? I swear, we put her to bed at like 9pm and she is still up at 5am," Aiden whispered to the pretty witch.

Alexis laughed, "If I knew things like that, I'd be rich. Some mysteries are just not for us to know. You seem pretty young to be a dad?"

"Yeah, I just got my GED. Josh and I found Sara at the church. Her mom took off and she didn't have anyone...," Aiden explained quietly

"Oh, how awful. I can relate, though. My own coven disowned me when they didn't like some of my visions. That's how the Lucien found me, on the streets and alone," Alexis blurted out.

"If you don't mind me saying, you don't look that old yourself," Aiden said. Sara came over and showed him the fruit that she had stirred.

"Great job, hon!"

"Yeah, I'm 16. Lucien gave me everything, treated me like a queen...But seeing how all of you dropped everything for Hayley made me want more. Friends, a family, and a purpose," Alexis shared. "I feel like I've been living in a gilded cage. I want more."

Josh came in and Sara and Chris wanted him to see what they were doing. Aiden grabbed the bowl of pancake batter before it went all over the table.

Josh bit his lip. "Umm, Elijah. There is a guy with good hair and an attitude trying to get inside. He's also wearing super tight pants...There are a lot of visitors today."

Alexis and Elijah looked at each other, "Lucien!"

Elijah handed the pancake turner over to Josh. "Don't burn them. I'll handle this."

Josh frowned, "This is too much pressure. Aiden, babe, can you do this?"

"Nah, you got this. Like the man said, don't burn them," Aiden laughed. He did get up and watch over Josh's shoulder as Josh immediately let the first pancake burn. They threw it in the garbage and started again.

Courtyard

"What a nice surprise," Elijah called out. The daywalkers were telling Lucien to leave. He couldn't get in without an invitation.

"Elijah, I hear you stole my witch! I want her back, she is merely a child," Lucien stated.

"Yes, she is here. I didn't 'steal' her as you say, she approached me," Elijah informed him.

Lucien's eyes grew dark. "What do you want for her? Name your price."

"Nothing," Elijah said casually. "She is a child and should be in school, not doing your dirty work."

Elijah stepped through the threshold. "You are not alone. Tristan, come out."

Tristan appeared, "Oh, there you two are. What a surprise."

Elijah was pleased that Tristan was looking after Lucien. Lucien was wearing dress slacks and a blindingly white shirt, whereas Tristan was wearing a suit similar to Elijah's gray suit.

"I am going to invite you both in for breakfast and a talk about your future plans. But you will not harm anyone in anyway. Got it? If you accept, I will expect the truth out of both of you or you will not like the results," Elijah stated plainly. "Deal?"

Tristan and Lucien exchanged a look. Elijah wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't planned this. After all, the two had been compelled to believe they were Mikaelsons for near a century. They had spent that time acting like Elijah and Niklaus, old habits were hard to break.

"Yes," Tristan agreed.

Lucien said, "Fine" from gritted teeth.

"And you may want to check that snippy attitude at the door, young man!" Elijah scolded.

Tristan smirked and Lucien glared at him.

Elijah invited them in and then compelled them again to harm no one and obey him.

Tristan's face grew troubled. "Obey you? You never threw that one in before."

"I am tired of arguing with children who ought to know better. The actual children who are here, behave better than some of the adults," Elijah chided.

"Are you sure about that?" Lucien quipped.

As the vampires approached the kitchen, Josh was carrying out a screaming Sara. He looked sheepishly at Elijah. "Sorry, she threw a tantrum when Aiden wouldn't let her flip the pancakes. She smashed your batter bowl. I'll replace it."

"There is no need, Joshua. Just tend to your daughter," Elijah said. "Come, gentleman. We will break our fast first before talking."

Aiden was cleaning up the bowl on the floor with Chris trying to "help" him. Alexis finished the stack of pancakes. She looked surprised when both Lucien and Tristan walked in with Elijah.

"Oh, you are now one of the Mikaelson's servants? You can do so much better, darling," Lucien drawled.

"Lucien, I see you got my note," Alexis said with a fake smile.

"Don't mind him, Alexis. He is much injured by my sister's most recent rejection of him," Tristan announced.

Lucien grabbed Tristan by the throat, "Don't speak of it!"

Chris gasped and Aiden excused himself to see to Josh and Sara, while the rest sat down and ate.

Elijah easily pulled Tristan off of Lucien. "Boys, now I thought I told you to behave yourselves. Sit. We shall eat. Young Christopher is hungry, aren't you, lad?"

"Yeah. Do you guys like cars? I have like this many cars now," Chris boasted. He held up his hands and flashed them.

"Whoa, that is a lot of cars, laddie. I actually have a Ferrari 250 TR, bought it at auction for 16 mil," Lucien bragged.

Tristan rolled his eyes, "My sister is not interested in cars if that is why you bought it."

"She said she wanted to ride in it?" Lucien argued.

"Gentleman, that is enough. Eat," Elijah said, serving everyone. "The bacon will be finished in a moment."

Josh, Aiden, and Sara joined them a few minutes later after they got her calmed down. Josh held her on his lap to eat and Elijah gave the kids extra whipped cream.

By the time Marcel had taken a phone call and got downstairs, the rest of the group was finished. For some reason, he wasn't surprised to see two-thirds of the Trinity in the kitchen. He wondered if Lucien knew Aurora was in a cell downstairs. He doubted that.

After their breakfast, Elijah asked Tristan, Lucien, and Alexis to accompany him upstairs. In the upstairs study that also used to be Klaus' art studio, Elijah revealed an old tome.

"I assume you know as much about this so-called prophecy from that cult that we do. What I would like to know is what you think they are planning next?" Elijah said, tapping the version he found in an old book.

Alexis shrugged, "They are cloaked, their magic or power, is not from the Earth. I can't see anything, witches can only work with earth magic. We get our power from nature, our ancestors, or other magic, like that from dark objects. This stuff? It's something else..."

Elijah nodded, "But you can still see the future at times? Correct?"

"Yes, but about this, there is nothing. I'm sorry," Alexis said.

'That's fine, dear. Why don't you go relax? I need to speak with these two gentleman alone?" Elijah smiled kindly. Alexis left.

"You intend to keep her? My own witch?" Lucien growled.

"She is a young girl, Lucien. She is without family nor friends. Have you thought about that? Her education and future? Witches need a coven, others like them. She is lonely and scared. Stop thinking of yourself for once," Elijah reprimanded. Lucien's face grew red.

"She is MY witch!" Lucien snapped. "Goddamn you Elijah. You are worse than Niklaus at times!"

"I've had it. Go stand in the corner until you can speak rationally," Elijah ordered. "Do not move from it until I give you permission."

Lucien was dismayed when his feet betrayed him and he walked to put his nose in the only open corner of the room. Elijah had earlier compelled him to obey, but he had never been stood in a corner in his life. He would avenge this slight, Lucien vowed to himself.

Tristan's smile widened, "Impressive. He needs a bit of a reality check. How is our friend faring?"

Elijah knew Tristan was speaking of Aurora. "He is good. No issues, so far. Hopefully, our other friend will help out today."

Elijah had asked Vincent to visit after he checked on the barrier at the Claire tomb.

"Are you speaking of Aurora? Where is she?" Lucien yelled out from the corner, unable to move out of it.

Elijah vamped over and smacked Lucien's rump through his tight slacks. Slap! Slap!

Lucien shrieked and his hands covered his bottom.

"Move your hands to your head!" Elijah ordered. He wasn't compelling Lucien as he need eye contact to do that, the younger vampire reluctantly complied after her got three more smacks.

Whack! Whack! Whack!

"Oucccch," Lucien wailed, wiggling his rear, but unable to move his feet.

"And I thought Nik was the bastard in the family!" Lucien snarked.

Smack! Smack!

"Maybe if my brother had done that after he turned you, we wouldn't be here right now dealing with your defiance!" Elijah snapped. "No more talking."

Lucien's mind was reeling, had Elijah just spanked him. This was too much. He was going to have this compound blown up when he got out of here. How dare he treat him like this?

Elijah turned his attention to Tristan. "Now, I want the truth. Why were the three of you in New Orleans? What is going on?"

Tristan sat on the couch near him. "I think you better sit."

Elijah did so and waited patiently for Tristan to speak.

"Tristan, I do have other ways of making you talk but I don't think you would like them," Elijah warned lightly.

Tristan breathed out the breath he was holding.

"Aurora joined this ridiculous cult after she absconded from Tibet. I sent Aya to find her. She did, but then she turned on me, on the Strix. She wants to be the leader. And quite frankly, Elijah, I am keen on the idea. I've put my time in. I am weary of leadership and these political games. I only wish to see that my sister is better. I hate who I have become. That is the truth," Tristan said, he tried to hide the tears that came into his eyes. "I just don't know how to abdicate power. You have the original charter. Can you name Aya my successor? Free me."

Tristan was ashamed that he was giving up on the Strix. His heart was no longer in it. He was done.

"Indeed, if that is what you truly want, it can be done. You need not hide your face from me. I know you, Tristan. You were always spoiled and sullen, but I did you no favors when we left you. I have always regretted what I did. By leaving you, I condemned you all to certain death, but yet you survived. A wise young lady said something last night that made me think. Do you think with support and love, you could be better? More willing to help others and less likely to plot and scheme to do evil?" Elijah said, he sat down close by Tristan, and looked into his eyes.

"I want that, Elijah. Truly, I cannot lie to you now. I got the power that I always craved, but it was a hollow victory. Aside from leaving Aurora with you yesterday, I have never done a single selfless thing. Aya knows that. She knows that I cannot run the Strix any longer. My heart is not in it. I wish for a new life, a new identity," Tristan confessed, with tears streaming down his face.

Elijah put an arm around him. "I hear the truth in your voice. And I am willing to help you, but changing is not easy. You may not like my methods."

"If I don't change, I am bereft. I am nearly dead inside. These long centuries have left me, empty. I was only 17 summers when you arrived at my father's court. I never really grew up anymore," Tristan said softly.

"I see that. Now, I have a plan but first we have some naughtiness to deal with, do we not?" Elijah asked.

"Naughtiness? I'm not sure I like the sound of that," Tristan whimpered.

"It shall not be pleasant, but I wish to show you the discipline you have needed for a great many years. Lucien? You may speak and come over here if you are ready to talk," Elijah called.

Lucien exhaled in relief. "Thank you. That was the worst five minutes I've ever experienced. Aurora is here? I should like to know what in the hell is going on? Elijah, what are you planning."

"Let's go into my bedroom," Elijah said.

Lucien stomped, "Elijah, I am not going to bed you! That is going too far."

Elijah chuckled, "No, it's nothing like that. I am a happily married man, gentleman. But I do have a special relic from the past I need to share with you."

Elijah heard Jackson, Hayley, Emily, and Ollie in the hallway.

"Good morning, there are pancakes, fruit, and beignets in the kitchen for breakfast, or lunch rather," Elijah announced, glancing at his gold watch. "I need to speak with these two, but go help yourselves."

Elijah led Tristan and Lucien into his bedroom. He locked the door, though the gallery doors were open, letting in a light breeze. The noises from the street filtered in.

"Go on, sit on the bed," Elijah said. He went to his dresser and took a heavy, old-fashioned hairbrush off of it.

"This is a very special brush spelled by a powerful witch to stop your healing. It will smart and I am going to apply it to your backsides. If I help you both, you will be going to Hayley's school with Aurora, Alexis, and other students. There, you will learn, not only how to behave properly, but also how to be a good person," Elijah said, smacking the brush against his own palm.

Lucien started, "But I didn't agree to this. I have a corporation to run. It's important. I can't just leave it all. And I will not submit to a beating, I got enough of those from Tristan back in the day."

"I'll see to your corporation. Lucien, you cannot deny that you suffer from the same deadness of spirit as Tristan. Plus, Aurora will be there. But all three of you will be compelled to live as humans, you will not be able to use your powers unless your life is in danger. You will feed off of a small amount of human blood and animal blood. You will learn the same curriculum as the other students. And you will learn some discipline, which all three of you have been sorely lacking," Elijah informed them. "No one will ever flog you as harshly as Tristan and his men did when you were human. But a simple spanking is exactly what the two of you need."

Tristan bowed his head, "I no longer proclaim to have the answers. I will submit to your authority. I have nothing else left. If it means Aurora will be left with a brother who can care for her, I'll do it."

Lucien opened his mouth to complain, but then said, "I'll do it also, but only if Aurora is there, at this school you mention. This maybe my only chance to win her back."

"I am pleased to hear you say this. But going forward, I will be clear that I will compel you to confess any wrong doings or evil intentions to the school. There are consequences. Good behavior will earn you additional privileges. Acting out will earn you a punishment, such as the one you are about to get," Elijah said. He pulled out a straight backed, armless chair into the middle of the floor. Elijah removed his own jacket and rolled up his sleeves. He made sure his rings were on his left hand and looked up at Lucien with the expectation that he obey.

Lucien laughed nervously, "Elijah, you are jesting surely. We might have been made vampires as children, but we are nearly as old and strong as you!"

"Strong? Want to test that? Now, show your great bravery and come over here to me, Lucien," Elijah said, sitting in the chair.

"You intend to...no, this is preposterous. I will do many things for love, but this is going too far," Lucien panicked. "I cannot."

"Lucien, you got worse floggings when you were a stableboy. We were compelled to obey, don't fight it," Tristan said, in truth, he was eager to see Lucien spanked. They have been at each other's throats for their entire immortal lives and he thought it would do him good to be humbled.

"Come to me now," Elijah ordered. "And you might as well remove those tight slacks and your shoes."

Lucien found him going over to Elijah and then taking off his pants and shoes. He wore gray boxer briefs and black dress socks underneath.

Elijah grabbed him by the arms and looked him straight in the eye. "I do this only to help you so you know what happens when you misbehave. This is nothing that has not happened to me. It is not pleasant, but you will feel cleansed afterward. You need to trust me."

Elijah guided Lucien over his lap so his hands were flat on the floor and his long legs resting on the ground. He asked Tristan to fetch him a foot stool and put his right foot on it to raise Lucien up further. Elijah folded up his white shirt to uncover his bottom. The thin underpants would not help much.

Lucien gasped and Elijah put his left arm over his back. Elijah rested his right hand on Lucien's rump.

"I want you to think of the many bad acts, lies, and things you have done to hurt others. Like all of us, you have killed many and destroyed lives for your own selfish pleasures. This ends now," Elijah lectured. "Are you ready for your spanking?"

Lucien found himself answering, "Yes, I suppose so, but I am frightened."

Elijah raised his palm to his shoulder and brought it down firmly.

Smack!

Lucien heard the sound first and then the fire erupted on his bottom.

"Ah!" he cried out. He didn't think it would smart than much.

Smack!

"Elijah! You need not-," Lucien tried, but a flurry of faster spanks prevented him from finishing. Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack!

Elijah raised his right knee even more and with his palm swatted Lucien's sensitive crease area and his tender thighs. Lucien kicked and yelped louder, not caring if anyone heard. His bottom was burning fiercely and tears pricked his eyes. He hadn't cried in, centuries.

"Ahhhhhhh, ohhhhhhh," Lucien wailed as Elijah continued spanking hard and fast.

Elijah noticed that Tristan seemed to be enjoying the show. Elijah stopped spanking and stood Lucien up. The vampire stomped and held his bottom as he wept. Elijah shook out the ache from his palm.

"Just this once I'll allow you to rub your bottom. Go sit on the bed and I'm going to give Tristan his warm-up," Elijah demanded.

"Warm-up? Noooooo, I cannot take more," Lucien fussed.

"That was just a preview. The next part will be on your bared behind with the brush. Go sit on the bed. Tristan, you are next," Elijah said firmly.

Tristan's smile faded. He had assumed that Elijah was just going to wallop them a little like he had the day before. A few slaps over the seat of his pants, but this was much worse.

"Trousers and shoes off. Hurry, we have some semblance of privacy as everyone is downstairs. That will not last," Elijah said.

Tristan had no choice but to obey. He striped his dress pants and shoes off and folded them neatly before laying them over the suit hanger near the dresser. Elijah nodded in approval and Tristan found himself proud that he had pleased his sire, for once.

Elijah also complimented Tristan on his proper white briefs before putting him over his lap. Lucien was still fussing as he sat his sore bottom on the firm mattress, but did not get up again. Watching Tristan get a long overdue flogging would be enjoyable for him, he just hated that his own behind was throbbing. His fast healing was not fast enough today.

Elijah whacked Tristan just as hard and fast as he had Lucien, until the leader of the Strix was sobbing and thrashing around. Elijah saw the redness peeking out below the white cotton briefs and figured the boys were almost ready for the hairbrush.

Tristan also tried to rub his seat when Elijah stood him up. He was surprised at the heat he felt and reluctantly sat on the bed.

Elijah stood to get the hairbrush and outlined how he expected the boys to start behaving from now on.

"You will no longer lie, cheat, steal, or misuse humans for your own purposes. To do so is an automatic spanking. You will do your chores, homework, and attend to your personal needs daily. This means eating properly and feeding on a regular basis to regulate yourselves. You will above all, be kind and respectful. I am not compelling you to do all this, but if you stray from it, you will reports yourselves," Elijah stated. "And proper young men do not curse, drink, smoke, or treat woman like property. You will behave as true gentleman."

Tristan was squirming and crying as he sat. He only wanted to bounce up and take off his tight underpants, but was unable to do so.

"Okay, Lucien, remove your underwear and come back over my lap. This is going to be intense as the brush will make you feel human, with your healing turned off. But, just like many before you, you will bear it and remember it when you are tempted to misbehave," Elijah said, not unkindly.

Lucien stripped off his boxer briefs gingerly, his bottom had healed but he was dreading another round over Elijah's knee. Once he was back in position, he felt the cool, flat side of the brush rubbing against his well-muscled bottom. He tensed.

"Relax. Clenching makes it hurt worse," Elijah warned. Lucien tried to relax and then the brush cracked down. Whap! Whap!

Elijah begun paddling Lucien's cheeks from side to side. He was not swatting that hard, just letting the weight of the brush do its' job. But Lucien felt as he was being branded. The loud pops filled the room as well as Lucien's grunts and exclamations.

"S-Stoooppppp," Lucien shouted. "Awwwww-owwww-awwwww!"

"I'll stop after you have been spanked enough to learn a lesson," Elijah warned.

Whap! Whap!

Whap! Whap!

"I-I am s-sorrrry. S-So sorry, for everything," Lucien yelled out.

Tristan's eyes were huge as he watched Lucien squirm and wriggle over the Original vampire's lap. Lucien was unable to reach back as his hands were supporting him and as Elijah raised his knee, Lucien's legs kicked.

Whap! Whap!

"Ahhhhhh," Lucien sobbed. He tried scissoring his legs but Elijah whacked his sensitive inner thighs.

Whap! Whap!

Elijah went back to paddling the center of both cheeks until they were both cherry red and steaming. Then, he continued by swatting the center of both cheeks over and over in the same spot.

Crack!

Crack!

Crack!

Crack!

It only took a few more harder whacks to cause Lucien to fall into exhaustion and lay limply over Elijah's lap, sobbing hard.

Whap! Whap!
With two last hard pops on his sit spots, Elijah stopped the spanking. He tucked the brush in his left hand and rubbed Lucien's blazing cheeks with his palm.

"There, there. You got a hard spanking and are now forgiven. You will forgive yourself and know that you can be a good person. You never really got that chance, did you?" Elijah soothed. He stood Lucien up and then guided him to the corner with a warning to put his hands on his head.

"N-Noooo, I g-guess not," Lucien sniffed, still crying a little.

"If you rub you bottom, you will get another paddling. Think about how you are going to avoid more spankings in the future."

Elijah sat back down and told Tristan to take off his briefs. The vampire was now crying before the hairbrush even swatted him.

Elijah popped the brush down in the same way he had Lucien and Tristan took it just as badly.

"It h-hurts," he whined. Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

"Yes, spankings hurt, but so does hurting others. You have caused much harm. I want to show you that doing good and being good can make you happy. You can be different. You only need a bit of encouragement," Elijah shared. "Tristan, even after all this time, you can learn how to be happy through helping others. You can have a family and love and be loved."

Whap! Whap!

Tristan squirmed violently and Elijah had to use his strength to yank Tristan back into position. Pop! Pop!

When the paddling was finally over, Tristan's bottom was red and aching. He had him exchange places with Lucien and Elijah steered Lucien, still bare bottomed, over to the bed.

"I know that was hard on you, but you bore it well. After a punishment, you are forgiven. Do you understand that? No one is angry at you. We need not speak of it again unless you want to," Elijah said.

Lucien nodded and sniffled. Elijah fished out a clean handkerchief and wiped his face after having Lucien blow his nose.

"Now, I'll like to hold you, if you will let me," Elijah said, he opened his arms and the normally defiant vampire dove into them. Elijah pulled Lucien into a tight hug and Lucien began to cry again.

"You needed this, didn't you?" Elijah whispered, overwhelmed with guilt. "I am sorry about the past, Lucien. I wronged all three of you a great deal. We left you, nay, I did. This one was all on me. Do I have your forgiveness in turn?"

Lucien cleared his throat, "Yes, Elijah, I will harbor no ill will against you any longer, but old habits are hard to let go of... I do feel cleaner, lighter somehow."
Elijah kissed him on the forehead. "Get in the bed on your stomach. I'll give you boys some cream that you can apply."

Lucien obeyed and Elijah went over and got Tristan. He hugged him after he turned from the corner.

"I'm s-sorry, too," Tristan wept. "I acted l-like a monster for so long, that I couldn't see another way."

Elijah chuckled as he cleaned his face with another handkerchief, "We have all been there. You learned to act like that as it was all you knew. But that behavior is over now. I may not be there physically, but I will be checking in on you weekly. Any bad reports and I have a few other ideas to make you mind."

Tristan just buried his face into Elijah's shoulder. "I'll b-be good."

"I know. Let's get you in bed so you can rest. I have a cold cream here that will help a little. However, your bottoms will blaze for a few more hours." Elijah got Tristan in bed and kissed his head. He set the cream on the bedside table.

"Boys, you may use the cream after your naps. It is easier to give each other a hand, but I will leave that up to you. I am going to see to Aurora and then I will be up to get you dressed. You may only leave the bed to use the bathroom. No blood either. Do you understand?" Elijah asked. "If I catch you disobeying, I am not opposed to spanking you again."

"Yes, sir," Lucien said groggily. He was so tired, he could barely keep his eyes open. Elijah pulled the curtains closed and darkened the room.

"This is a new beginning. I hope you will take it as such," Elijah said, taking the hairbrush and putting it in his suit jacket.
