Departing from Roy's castle in Pherae, the group races towards Altea as fast as they could in the Galaxy King.
"I deeply apologize for all this. I know that just like the Empire, my kingdom's forces aren't in their right minds as they attack your own land." Dimitri said to Linde and Princess Minerva.
"You have nothing to apologize for, Prince Dimitri. Even I have my share of the blame for attacking my comrades homeland in a past war. It was to protect my little sister." Princess Minerva said.
"I even lost my father during it when he tried to fight Gharnef." Linde said, clutching Aura. "This tome is all I have left of him. But that's why I joined Marth was so I could help restore peace to his homeland when he saved me and avenge my father."
"Still, these are my forces originally attacking your home. As King of Faerghus, I can't help but feel responsible." Dimitri said. "To think this all started because we chose to give protection to the Church of Seiros as the Empire attacked them."
"You cannot blame yourself, Dimitri. There was no way any of you could have foreseen this outcome." David said.
"You're right. I didn't expect all the events that included Shez. All we can do now is quell this chaos." Dimitri agreed.
"The situation in this Altea seems dire though, your majesty. I hope we don't arrive too late." Dedue said.
"Don't worry, the many allies that fought alongside us will always be ready to defend our homeland." Linde assured.
"Alright, reaching Altea in 3…2…1…" Jet announced as the Galaxy King emerged over the scene of two massive armies fighting each other in front of a castle.
"Whoa! You weren't kidding, Linde." Steven said. "There's a lot of soldiers on Marth's side."
"I told you he could hold out." Alphamon said.
"Marth! Caeda!" Linde said, spotting the two facing off against a young man with the same hair color as Rodrigue as he wielded a sword and shield that were both glowing, along with a blonde haired woman riding a pegasus as she wielded a spear that glowed red at the tip.
"Glowing weapons…more of those Sacred Relics?" Mark asked.
"Those are…Felix and Ingrid. I was dreading this would happen…" Dimitri said.
"Don't worry, Dimitri. We got this." David said.
"Indeed." Minerva said as she mounted her Wyvern with Hauteclere at the ready.
The group dropped onto the fight immediately, engaging the Kingdom forces as they made their way to Marth and Caeda. The latter spotted the group from above as she clashed with Ingrid.
"Marth! The Hero Alliance has come to help! Linde and Minerva are here too!" Caeda said.
"Prince Marth, Caeda. Are you two alright?" Princess Minerva asked.
"Your timing is impeccable, friends. I had feared we'd be overrun soon, but I knew reinforcements would arrive, so we've held back these forces the best we've could." Marth said cutting down a few Kingdom soldiers.
"Don't worry, Marth. We're on it! Garula!" Ramona said as she fired a blast of wind at Ingrid.
"Yes." Miriam said, materializing Gae Assail, her ultimate spear as she charged at Felix as the two clashed. "This spear purifies the souls of whomever it pierces, and it will purify you of the dark corruption that holds you."
"Hmph, then let's see what you can do." Felix said. "I see my old man and the boar with you too."
"Felix, I don't want this to end violently. I know you don't want anything to do with me, but as a father, I must ask you to stand down." Rodrigue said.
"Wait, he's your son?" Tsubaki asked as she looked closely at Felix's face. "I see the resemblance."
"Unfortunately for you, I don't see you as anything but just a man." Felix said as he prepared to fight.
Meanwhile, Ingrid flew around and struck at multiple targets from the air.
"Damn it. I can't get any closer." Francisca said.
"That's where we come in. Flying units tend to be very weak against bows and wind magic." Ramona said.
"Just one question for you two." Haruto said, closing his eyes as he put his headphones on. "Can you imagine?" he asked, opening his eyes as they glowed bright green and a symbol of the same color appeared on his cheek as upbeat music began playing that strengthened their magic attacks.
"Time to bring this high-flier down to earth. Garudyne!" Ramona said as she fired a stronger wind blast at Ingrid.
Ingrid was buffeted by the winds, continuing to push forward. "I am a Knight of Faerghus. I'll fulfill my duties if it's the last thing I do!"
"Yeah, but your duties are for the wrong side. Time to bring you back!" Bow said, firing an arrow right at Ingrid. She instinctively avoided it, but in mid air, it gave off a flash of light.
"What? An arrow that gives off a blinding flash of light?" Ingrid asked, covering her eyes.
"Do it, Vera!" Bow said.
"I'm on it!" Vera said as she fires a Bomb Arrow.
"No… I failed!" Ingrid said as she was hit dead on, the explosion throwing her off her pegasus and throwing her to the ground.
"Forgive us, Ingrid." Dimitri said.
"Pathetic. I'll do this myself!" Felix said, attacking with his sword and putting Miriam on retreat. "I'm used to fighting spear fighters thanks to battling the boar. Don't think you've won cause you've got an advantage."
"Then perhaps, you prefer someone of your own skill level." David said.
"Huh. You look challenging. Lets see what you're made of!" Felix said switching targets and combating David. The two of them were clashing much more evenly.
"You alright, Miriam?" Glimmer asked. "That Felix guy's good. He's matching David strike for strike."
"Is it possible that he is also…" Miriam trailed off.
"David's counterpart? Well, if he is, I think David would like him more than he does Vholran." Sectonia said.
Felix attacked David while also guarding with his shield against his opponents attacks.
"You're not half bad." Felix said.
"I'd say the same. You're meant to wield the sword, I can feel it." David said.
"Don't be complimenting me now. I'm here to do one thing, cut down anybody who stands in the Kingdom's way. And right now, that's you, the Boar prince, and the man I refuse to call father."
"Talk is cheap. Let's have our blades do the talking." David said.
With that, Felix and David continued their flurry. Felix was able to block a powerful strike from David with his sword and shield.
"Good…looks like David's got this covered. Now we just need to get Ingrid to…" Bow said before they heard a horse whinny as they saw a man riding towards them.
"Ingrid! I'm coming!" shouted a man with red hair as he also held a glowing tipped lance in hand.
"Sylvain! I'm glad you're here." Felix said. "Heh…Never thought I'd ever say that to your face."
"Sylvain is here too?" Dimitri asked.
"Anything we need to know about him?" Sectonia asked.
"He, Ingrid and Felix are my childhood friends. The three of them are the kingdom's best warriors. Sylvain may be a skirt chaser…but it seems that is not stopping him today." Dimitri said as Sylvain held a strange looking spear. "The Lance of Ruin. It seems our enemy has managed to get hold of the Hero's Relics."
"Indeed. It was very apparent since Felix is wielding the Aegis Shield along with the Sword of Moralta, and Ingrid used Luin." Dedue said.
"Just like Byleth's Sword." Roy said.
"Looks like this isn't turning out to be your day, huh?" Sylvain asked. "I know I'm a little late, but now that I'm here, you aren't winning this."
"It's not over till it's over." Vashryon said. "David can handle Felix. We'll make sure this guy comes back with the two of them."
"Strike before he does!" Ajna said, summoning her axe.
Sylvain ignored Ajna as he went and struck at Vashyron. "This is nothing personal. I won't let you hurt my friend." he said, raising his spear. "I'll see you in hell, I guess."
"No you don't." Ajna said, deflecting his lance with her axe. "Now you…" she said as Sylvain ignored her again and continued going at Vashyron.
"Why is he ignoring Ajna? Maybe it's because Sylvain can't bring himself to harm girls?" Makoto wondered.
"Hopefully he isn't a pervert like Sanji." Natyal said.
"Sanji isn't a pervert." Genis said.
"That man is a real man." Sanji said. "You've gone out of your way to make sure this lady doesn't get hurt. You should be proud." Sanji said as he approached Sylvain.
"That's…kind of you to say. But I still gotta…" Sylvain said before he was met with a swift kick to the face and sent into a stone wall.
"I owe you one, Sanji." Vashyron said.
"And now the womanizer falls too? It really does fall to me." Felix said, parrying David. "No more games. This'll be your grave!" He said preparing to strike him.
"Agreed. Let's finish this." David said.
"Ah!" Felix said as he fought against David with his sword. "Well look at this scene. I'm almost as bad as the Boar."
"Don't worry. You won't be feeling that way for long." David said as he prepared a flurry of slashes.
Felix continued to keep up until the last couple of slashes where he soon collapsed.
"Phew… That took some doing." David said as he pulled Felix up his shoulder. "I think the two of us are gonna get along swimmingly."
"Thank you, David. And to the rest of you as well." Dimitri said. "I couldn't bear to see three close friends of mine fighting on the wrong side."
"No problem. You'd do the same for us." Izuku said.
"The only ones left from the Kingdom are Ashe and Annette. But…I wonder if the ones we took in from the church were mixed into this army as well…" Dimitri pondered.
"There's no telling. After all, Manuela was with Dorothea." Scott said.
"Only because she was originally from the Empire when I brought her into my army." Edelgard said.
"Hmm…You know…think I'm finally remembering…Ylisse…that's where I ended up." Claude said.
"Ylisse? Oh, that brings back a whole lot of memories." Crusadermon said. "Us Royal Knights still remember our dealings with the Seven Demon Lords and Ogudomon."
"Yes, we had to seal ourselves away the first time we were there to keep Ogudomon from spreading into other worlds." Alphamon said. "But a while ago, we were hit with a redux of those events, and we were able to change that fate. It seems Chrom really does have that affect on people."
"Speaking of…an alert is going out from them. Seems their kingdom is being attacked by a House…Gloucter?" Jet said.
"That means Lorenz…" Claude said.
"Well, guess we better get moving. Looks like we're off to change fate yet again." Leopardmon said.
