Afternoon

Marcel called Rebekah and told her all about Aurora, Tristan, and Lucien being there.

"Are you serious, Marcel? Aurora is my progeny. She's daft. What is Elijah up to?" Rebekah said into the phone. She was trying to change Annabelle with one hand, but ended up putting the phone on speaker.

"I don't know, Bekah. He's driving me crazy. We were supposed to leave today, but I think it's gonna be another day. Are you doing okay there? Kids okay?" Marcel pressed. He almost wished she demanded him to come home, but she said everything was fine.

"Shit, babe, I have to go. Sean is calling. I'll call you later. Love you," Marcel said, hanging up and switch over.

"Sean, what's up? Everything okay?" Marcel asked quickly. He was worried that the Serratura was failing and all hell would break loose over the city.

Sean said, "Hey buddy, sorry to bother you but we got a situation here with some wolves. Is Mary and her crew still there?"

"Yeah, I was just getting someone to drive them home. You need us?" Marcel inquired.

"Yeah, I think this is a wolf issue," Sean said. "See you in a few."

Marcel asked Mary if she wouldn't mind making a detour.

Mary shrugged, "No problem. As long as my old bones will carry me, I'm there. Let me round up the pack."

Emily interrupted, "Mary, if it's okay, Josh asked me to babysit tonight. I'll t-t-take Chris and go over to the loft. He was asking to play with Sara anyway. She wants me to bake cookies with them."

Mary hugged the slender girl and fingered a strand of her long hair.

"Sure, honey. That would be nice. I guess that is why they call little Sara 'Cookie.' Just don't let the kids eat all of them or you will regret it. I just realized that all the color came out of your hair. Did your momma used to dye it for you?" Mary questioned.

"Yeah, we always used a special shampoo. I wonder now if she wasn't disguising our real appearance," Emily wondered. "I mean, why didn't she tell us that we had silverish h-hair."

"Maybe it's a sign you are merfolk. You still feeling okay?" Mary pressed. She didn't want to mention that Chris was now speaking non-stop and Emily's stutter was almost gone.

"Yes, ma'am. I feel e-excellent, really. I would like to pick some more of the false mermaid when we get back. Just in case I need to change again. Maybe test it?" Emily shared.

"Of course, baby. You have fun babysitting. Call Jackson, Ollie, or Hayley if you need anything," Mary said, patting her arm.

Marcel grinned, "And make sure Josh pays you enough. Don't let him off cheap. It's not easy to find a good babysitter these days."

"I will," Emily smiled.

St. Anne's Church

"We were just trying to see what it was," the curly-haired boy mumbled. He had black hair, green eyes, and was only 5'8.

The boy sitting next to him added, "Yeah, I guess this is what you get for helping around here. Accused of stealing! It's bullshit."

"Rafe, man, chill," the boy hissed as Marcel and the wolves walked in.

"Uh-oh, Father Sean, looks like you have some delinquents to deal with," Marcel said, shaking the priest's hand.

Sean greeted Mary and the kids as Marcel walked over to the two teens slumped in the pew.

"So what happened here?" Marcel asked.

"Fuck off," the tall, African-American teen hissed to Marcel, his brown-eyes narrowed in anger.

"Whoa," Father Sean said. "This is still a house of God. Let's all calm down here."

Mary walked down. "Howdy, boys. Now, I can tell this one is a wolf, not sure what you are, except plain rude. Now, Mr. Gerard asked you a question. I'm Mary, a Crescent wolf. We're here to help."

"Who the hell are they?" the curly-haired boy asked with a sneer.

Hayley stepped forward, "My name is Hayley. This is my boyfriend, Jackson, and this big oaf is Oliver, but you can call him Ollie. Now, can we have your names?"

The taller boy extended a hand, and said, "I'm Rafael Waithe, but I go by Rafe. This pretty boy here is Landon Kirby...and we didn't steal shit."

Sean interjected, "One of the volunteers said he caught them stealing from the offertory box, they roughed him up a bit. They became upset and tried to leave, but I don't think they have anywhere to go."

"It said 'poor box', we didn't know what it meant. We aren't thieves!" Rafe exclaimed.

"Okay, we get it. How did two kids, a wolf and a human, end up here? Are you guys both homeless?" Marcel asked. "I'm Marcel, by the way, I am a vampire. That means I could compel you to tell me the truth, but I would like to hear it from you first hand."

"You try to compel us and we will kick your ass!" Rafe roared.

Jackson went and sat by Rafe. "Look, pal. We get it, we are wolves, too. But we're just trying to help here. We're on your side."

Landon answered, "Yeah, we're homeless. Um, Rafe here changed into a wolf on the full moon on the 16th. Our foster parents freaked and tried to do some sort of exorcism. I busted Rafe out and we've been on the run ever since."

Ollie cleared his throat. "Dude, this is Jack's gram, but other than that, Jack, Hayley, and me...we're orphans. We live with Mary in the Bayou but Hayley here is starting a big school for kids like us. Why don't you come with us? We take care of our own."

Rafe nodded as Mary put an arm around Oliver. Mary added, "He's right. Y'all can stay with me. It's tight and nothing fancy, but I make a mean gumbo."

"Well, we wore out our welcome here," Rafe said, "But I don't go anywhere without Landon. We're brothers."

"Of course," Hayley said. "And I bet the chores have been piling up when I was gone, huh? I hope you guys don't mind getting your hands dirty."

Landon shrugged, "I'm more of the artistic type, but Rafe here loves to get dirty. Real dirty." Rafe pushed Landon lightly.

Mary said, "Good. That's settled. Now, do you two boys have anything to say to Father Sean?"

Landon flushed, but extended his hand. "Sorry about the misunderstanding."

Rafe did the same, "Yeah, I'm sorry. We know better than to act like that. Thanks for your help."

Father Sean nodded, "Sure, boys. You are welcome back anytime. Just remember the money goes in the box, not out."

Everyone laughed. Marcel sidled up to Sean as the rest of the group left.

"Any word from Lafayette? Are our friends still inside the barrier?" Marcel prodded.
"As far as I know, there is still no sign of anyone inside. Any more bodies or anything suspicious on your end?" Sean asked.

"Nope. Quiet, real quiet. I think we're staying an extra day. Elijah got wrapped up in the Trinity. He's got them at the house and is going to pawn them off at Hayley's school," Marcel complained.

"You don't sound happy about that," Sean added.

"I ain't. Look, I gotta get these folks home. I'll talk to you before I leave," Marcel said, backing away.

"It's good to see Hayley working her magic. She really is an angel," Sean said.

Marcel grinned, "That she is. Just don't cross her or you'll see the devil."

The Compound

Dungeon

Elijah had woken up Tristan and Lucien from their naps and had them shower and get in pajamas. When they protested, he told them they were on probation and were not going anywhere without his permission. He didn't want them to balk and run off when they realized how much their lives were going to change.

Elijah heard the daywalker pleading with Aurora.

"Just eat a bit, ma'am. It's good food. Here, I'll try some," Linda, one of the newer crop of vampires, tried.

He heard a bang and crash and came in to find Aurora had smashed the food tray into a thousand pieces.

Linda frowned and apologized, "I'm sorry, but I can't get her to eat or take her medication."

Aurora was chained by the ankle to a metal bed, but sitting in a chair. She was wearing aqua colored hospital scrubs as if she were a doctor or nurse.

"I am not hungry. Now, why the hell am I chained up? Elijah, I should have guessed you would be involved. I'm sure Niklaus is close behind you?" Aurora purred.

Elijah gave Aurora a hard look. "My dear, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but my brother is happily married and has a child with his wife. You will not be seeing him anytime-ever. Now, why are you giving Linda such a hard time?"

"Niklaus is married? He has A CHILD? Of his own blood?" Aurora screamed in agony. "How is that possible?"

Elijah sat down in the other chair. "Well, you see, they fell in love, got married, and baby came next. You will need to obsess about someone else."

"I was really looking forward to telling Niklaus what really happened when we broke up, but you wouldn't like that, would you? Is that why you kept us apart?" Aurora accused.

"My dear Aurora, you can threaten me all you wish, but it is not going to go well for you. Now I have your brother and Lucien upstairs. I have made my amends with them and brought them under my protection and tutelage. Aurora, I know I wronged you, too," Elijah said with feeling. "I want to help you, if you will let me. Either way, you cannot proceed like this."

"You wronged me by taking away the love of my life and dooming me to run from your deranged father for one hundred years thinking I was Rebekah fucking Mikaelson! Do you think I can ever forgive that?" Aurora said, banging her small fists against the table and cracking it.

"It has been 900 years, Aurora. Now, before we come back to this, you need to take your medication and eat. Linda, would you mind terribly bringing out another tray?" Elijah asked.

"No, I'll be right down, Mr. Mikaelson," Linda intoned.

Aurora mimicked the newly made vampire, "'No, I'll be right down, Mr. Mikaelson.' What a patsy. I can't abide another second of your company. I need to speak to Niklaus."

"That will never happen," Elijah said solemnly.

"Than I shall kill myself!" Aurora burst out as she sprang from her chair. She smashed the seat and took the leg and drew it to her chest. Elijah vamped to her and removed the wooden stake and threw it.

"Enough of this nonsense," Elijah said. "I am going to give you one last chance before I put you over my knee to behave. Now, sit on the bed and listen."

Elijah knew he couldn't compel Aurora until she was lucid, but her mind wouldn't clear without the antipsychotic cocktail that she needed.

Aurora acted as if she were going to cooperate and then reached over and tried to scratch out Elijah's eyes. She was strong, but not as strong as he was. He leaned her over the bed facedown and swatted her bottom with the flat of his hand.

Smack!

Smack!

Although the thin cotton scrub pants didn't provide much protection, Aurora laughed louder with each spank.

SMACK!

"Oh, Elijah, I never knew you were so kinky. My fanny hasn't smarted like this since I got whipped at Bedlam or was it when they drowned me in vervain baths in the monastery in Nepal?" Aurora chirped.

SMACK!

"I thought Tristan said you slaughtered the monks in Tibet?" Elijah said, still smacking, though it seemed to have no effect on Aurora at all.

SMACK!

"What? I did not such thing...they were kind to me," Aurora almost whispered. "Elijah, are they okay? My friends in Tibet? Are they alright?"

Elijah stopped the useless punishment and sat Aurora on her bed.

"I'm afraid not, Aurora. You weren't on your medication and you killed them. All of them," Elijah confided. "Now, take this dose and then we can talk."

Elijah went to the shelf that was out of the reach of Aurora's chain and got a paper cup and a dose of the pills. Linda came back with the food tray and saw the broken chair and froze.

"It's okay, Linda. Just put it on the table," Elijah said evenly. "I'm going to see that Miss de Martel takes her medication."

"Sure. Ah, do you want me to hold her?" Linda asked, looking nervous.

"Yes, thank you. That would be very helpful. I'll be sure to tell Josh was a great job you are doing," Elijah added.

"Fuck you, bitch. I don't need any pills!" Aurora snarled in her crisp accent.

Linda let Elijah take the lead and he held Aurora's arm while Linda tried to get the pills into Aurora's mouth.

Aurora spit them out.

"Aurora, if you do that again, the next time, I will not just use my hand on your misbehaving bottom," Elijah warned. Linda looked alarmed. They tried a second time and Aurora again spit out all the pills she could.

"That was a bad choice," Elijah said sharply.

"On your part!" Aurora snapped.

"We shall see," Elijah said. "Let's try again."

Aurora's face darkened and her fangs extended, but Linda managed to get the pills in and Elijah put his hand over her mouth. She swallowed the pills and then managed to bite Elijah, leaving a bloody bite mark. Linda got him a rag.

"Are you alright?" Linda asked.

Elijah let go of Aurora and wiped off his hand.

"Ah yes, why don't you go take an extended break. I'm going to stay here with her. I think she will be out of those chains and upstairs within the hour, but I doubt she will be sitting comfortably," Elijah said for Aurora's benefit.

Linda left quickly and Elijah got up and started to unbuckle his belt.

"I'm going to give you a chance to take your whipping like a big girl and bend over the bed. If not and I have to hold you down, I'm going to spank your bare behind before bed tonight. Now, over. I'm sure you know how this goes," Elijah said firmly. He pulled his expensive leather belt out and folded it in half.

"No, I don't want the belt. I'm sorry. I was just scared. Tristan? Where's my brother?" Aurora whined.

"I warned you to cooperate," Elijah reminded the red-haired vampire. "Now, over. You can keep your trousers on."

"Noooo," Aurora said, backing up, but the chair held her in place.

Elijah used his left hand to grab her arm and bring her back to the bed. He pushed her over on her stomach, with her feet on the floor.

Thwap!

Elijah snapped the leather down across her behind swiftly. This time, Aurora shrieked loudly.

Thwap!

"Ohhhhh-," Aurora moaned.

Thwap!

Elijah laid down another lick right over the same spot.

Thwap! He went lower and cracked Aurora's bottom harder.

"Ahhhhh, owwwwwww," Aurora wailed, bursting into hysterics. She shifted her legs.

Thwap. Thwap. Thwap.

She tried to wiggled out of the path of the strap, but Elijah continued the whipping.

Thwap. Thwap. Thwap.

Aurora managed to throw a hand back to cover her bottom. Elijah narrowly missed her hand. Thwap.

"Young lady, move your hand," Elijah said, raising his voice.

"Nooooo! It hurts," Aurora fussed.

"Move it or I will cane your hands tonight!" Elijah threatened. "I have access to a very heavy ruler coated in vervain. You will not enjoy it. Move them now!"

Aurora only threw back her other hand. Elijah lowered the belt and started to strap the top of her thighs.

Thwap! Thwap! Thwap!

"Owwwwwwwww," Aurora cried. "F-FUCK!"

Thwap! She moved her hands and wiggled, but Elijah gave her several more licks on her now blazing bottom.

"Anymore cursing and I will soap out that mouth for you. You are piling on the punishments a bit too fast, miss," Elijah warned.

Thwap! Thwap! Thwap!

"Stop, you fucking ass! I hate you...," Aurora hissed.

Exhaling deeply, Elijah stopped. He wondered if her medications were kicking in, she seemed to relax, although she was sobbing softly.

"Okay, now let's see if you are ready to be compelled," Elijah said softly. He sat on the bed and lifted Aurora to stand in front of him. She was sucking in air and still crying. He held her hands.

"Look at me, Aurora. We need to have a very serious talk. I am going to compel you and I need you to listen. I swear that this is all for your good and the good of everyone around you," Elijah promised. "You will no longer try to harm yourself or others. You will not attack, nor kill, anyone unless your life or the lives of innocents are in danger. You will take your proper medications and take care of yourself daily. If you are having disturbing thoughts, you will report them to an authority figure."

Aurora repeated the words Elijah just spoke.

"Who is an authority figure over me?" Aurora asked with a pout.

"Well, little miss, you are going to be going to school soon. At your new school, you will tell a teacher or administrator if you are planning to do something naughty or mischievous that will get you or others in trouble. Now, I have punished you for your behavior earlier, but you still have a spanking and you will get the ruler on your palms for not cooperating. Plus, the soap for your cursing. But after that, you are forgiven," Elijah said firmly.

"For killing my friends, the monks? Are you going to spank me for that?" Aurora asked in a small voice.

"Yes, tonight," Elijah said. "Now, I see your pills are working. Earlier, I asked your forgiveness for what I did to you at your father's castle. I should have never come between you and Niklaus, but I did. I also doomed you to flee from Mikael. That was selfish and cruel of me. We sired you and then left you to die for us. You need not say anything now, but I am sorry for the past."

Aurora smiled sadly, "I will let it go, if only you compel me to forget the love I had for Niklaus. I cannot move on without that. And maybe compel me to forget that I asked you."

Elijah was silent a moment, but it would be the best for all involved. He compelled Aurora to forget the love she had for his brother and then to forget that she asked. Then, he unchained her foot and took her upstairs. He thought she would be alright.

Dining Room

Evening

When Marcel got back from the Bayou, he was surprised to see the Trinity all sitting around the dining room table in their pajamas.

"Ah, I feel a little overdressed," Marcel said wryly.

"Oh relax, Marcellus, Linda picked up Oysters Rockefeller from Antoine's. Remember, we've been getting that since what? The 1890s," Elijah smiled. He poured white wine for the table. Marcel said down and told Elijah and the others about the two boys from the church.

Lucien said, "Ah, that is lovely that the wolves stick together. It's a pity that vampires are so prone to a solitary lifestyle."

"Not here in the city," Marcel said lightly. "We have to stick together."

Tristan smiled and raised his glass and toasted, "To Marcel Gerard, the vampire who unites a solitary group. Hurray."

Marcel laughed and drank, saying, "I can't take you guys seriously in those clothes. Maybe you are not so bad, after all?"

"Oh, he's worse. My brother would shower in a suit if it were possible. But I hear we are going to school. That should be novel. I hope it tis like it is on t.v. I want to wear a uniform!" Aurora giggled and emptied her wine glass. "I also want to have a locker."

Tristan took her wine, "Sister, perhaps you shouldn't drink on your medications. But Elijah, do you really intend to send the three of us to school? I mean, maybe we could teach there? But to be students?"

"Oh, I think you three will learn plenty. How about we tour it together tomorrow? I promised Hayley I would meet with her and visit. How's the food?" Elijah asked.

"Excellent," Lucien admitted. He couldn't help but squirming a bit on the hard chairs, but no one made any comments.

"Eat up. Then, boys, you can relax for a while before bed or Marcel maybe you can put a movie on for them," Elijah suggested.

"Ah, sure," Marcel said, feeling like he was on another planet.

They talked and ate, Elijah let them have ice cream for dessert and then excused himself and Aurora.

"Aurora, say goodnight," Elijah said. "Boys, you can handle the clean-up?"

Marcel noticed Elijah had the ruler in his jacket pocket, "Ah, yeah. We got this. Night."

Elijah steered Aurora into Rebekah's old room.

"You may take your bath and get ready for bed. I'm sorry to say but you are getting a severe punishment," Elijah said, he had the staff set out a nightgown and towel for her before dismissing them for the night.

"Are you really going to soap out my mouth?" Aurora asked glumly.

"Yes, believe me, I don't wish to, but you also earned a caning on your palms and a good spanking," Elijah said. "You will then take your pills and go to bed early. Then, we can put this behind us."

Aurora folded her arms across her chest and tried, "Cannot you give me another chance?"

"I did, my dear," Elijah said. "Now, go wash. You have a half hour."

"I won't have time to wash my hair," Aurora complained.

"The clock starts now," Elijah said. He went to fetch the hairbrush from his room, find a new bar of soap, and quickly call Vanessa. He hated to tell her that they would be another day, but it couldn't be helped.

Aurora's Room

Elijah came back exactly a half hour later. He shut the door and locked it so they wouldn't be disturbed. Elijah brought the soap, softening in a glass, which he set in the still slightly steamy bathroom. He put the ruler beside it. Aurora had braided her red hair into two pigtails and wore the white nightie, looking tired.

"Okay, Aurora, let's talk about your poor language," Elijah said. "Any talking back or cursing can result in a getting your mouth washed out with soap. You are allowed to be anger or upset, but you can express that respectfully. I want you to bite down on the soap. Hold out your hands, palm side up. I'm going to smack each hand five times. Then, I'll let you rinse and we'll take care of the spanking. Any fuss and you will get another minute of the hairbrush over my lap."

Aurora started to cry, but didn't want to get a longer spanking so opened her mouth for the soap. "Bite down and palms out."

Aurora's shaking hands looked small to Elijah. He got the ruler and smacked her right palm swiftly. Whack. Aurora jerked back her hand.

"Back out," Elijah said. Whack. Whack. Whack. Whack.

Aurora sniffed and big tears ran down her face. She stomped her foot, but didn't pull her hand back again.

The ruler left her palm red.

"Now, the left," Elijah said. Whack. Whack. Whack. Whack. Whack.

Aurora made a whining sound in her throat and put her stinging hands under her arm pits. The soap was forming and Elijah let her spit it out in the sink.

"You can rinse your mouth twice," Elijah determined, as he handed her the glass of water. Aurora did and made a sour face.

"Yuck. That was awful," Aurora moaned.

"Halfway done," Elijah said. "But I think this will put you on the right path. I want you to think of this punishment the next time you act up."

Aurora mumbled, "I shalln't. I will be very well-behaved from now on. I swear it."

"Yeah, I've heard that before," Elijah smiled. "You remind me of your sire at times."

He grabbed the hairbrush out of his pocket. Aurora's eyes got wide.

"I wager Rebekah never got spanked with a hairbrush!" Aurora snarled. Elijah bit his lip to keep from smiling. He didn't think it was his place to tell her about his sister's many spankings in this very room.

"Well, you mocked me when I spanked you over your pants with my hand. You won't laugh at this brush, it was spelled to stop vampire healing," Elijah explained.

"I've never gotten a proper thrashing before," Aurora admitted. "Tristan only let them whip me if it was part of some kind of therapy treatment. Usually, I got plunged in ice water. None of it helped."

"Well, hopefully the pills and my compulsion will help. There will also be some witches at the school to help siphon out some of your excess energy. Therapy, in the form, of talking might not be a bad idea. You never really had a chance to learn much formally. I think you will be very happy there. Your brother and Lucien will be there with other young people," Elijah said.

"But I'm not young anymore, not really," Aurora argued.

"Oh, I think you are. I've seen it with my own siblings. Rebekah and Kol were around your age when they were turned. It took many centuries and a lot of discipline for them to finally mature. When you are ready, you can do the same. Maybe have a life of your own?" Elijah offered. "A career? A family? Whatever you wish."

"Only if I can get myself under control. I have a lot of work to do," Aurora said glumly.

"There will be people there to help. Now, I'm putting you over my lap. I want you to stay in place until your spanking is over," Elijah warned. He pulled Aurora over so her body rested on the bed. Without delay, he flipped her nightie up and patted her pale bottom with the brush.

"Oh!" Aurora gulped. "This is going to hurt."

"Yes, that's the point. You think about what got you here. If you would have bent over for the belt, I'd just be tucking you in right now. But inside, I'm giving you a hard spanking. Do you wish you made a different choice?" Elijah questioned. Tap. Tap.

"Yes! I thought you were bluffing," Aurora exclaimed. "I don't want you to spank me!"

"I wasn't bluffing and you are getting paddled whether you want to or not. Now, keep your hands away from your bottom and your legs down," Elijah said. "You might want to grab a pillow."

Aurora clutched at a bed pillow and squeezed her eyes shut as she felt the flat brush leave her behind and then come down again with a crisp snap.

Whap!

"Oaffff," Aurora shouted and then burst into hot tears. The pain was sharp and unbearable. Whap.

Whap. WHap. WHap. Whap! WHAP!

"Awwwww, I d-did a lot of bad things. Killed my friends, my enemies, random people...I killed my hair dresser," Aurora wailed.

Whap. WHap. WHap. Whap! WHAP!

Elijah spanked slowly, but steadily all over Aurora's behind. She wasn't sure how many whacks she got or how long she was spanked for, but by the end she was a mess.

"We're taking care of all your misbehaviors," Elijah reminded her.

hap. WHap. WHap. Whap! WHAP!

She didn't realize that Elijah switched from the brush to his hand.

Slap. Slap.

Slap. Slap.

Since the brush stopped her healing, each swat felt like liquid fire.

Slap. Slap.

Slap. Slap.

Elijah didn't want to bruise the fair-skinned girl, but only leave her with a smarting, red bottom.

Smack! Smack!

Elijah flipped Aurora's nightie back over her bottom and then picked her up to cradle in his arms. He rocked her as she finished crying and then wiped her face clean.

"S-Sorrrry," Aurora sniffed.

"I know. You're all forgiven," Elijah whispered back. "You have to move on."

Elijah carefully put Aurora in her bed after giving her the second dose of medication. She took it without an issue. He wasn't sure if it was overkill or not, but she needed to sleep now.

"Shhh, I'll stay until you fall asleep," Elijah said, settling in a nearby chair.

He remembered doing this for Rebekah over a hundred years ago. He fixed Aurora's comforter and sighed.
