Kjon's Audio Diary Log

April 10, 2621

Interview conducted by Dr. Patricia Wallace after Kjon Schaefer had an episode of P.T.S.D. After all of the trauma, bloodshed, violence, and death he's seen, it's suprisinghe has only lost a small part of his emotional and mental stability. Although he functions normally most of the time and has no lasting mental damages aside from this, somethings can remind him of his past, which can cause sudden violent reactions, both mentally and physically. Kjon will begin to act violently in this state of being, and does not have a complete awareness, and will lose his memory during the episode, and he will have no recollection of the episode after it has passed. His amnesia is a side effe ct of his P.T.S.D. Fortunately though, it does not last.

Dr. Patricia Wallace is Kjon's new psychiatrist, and has continued his Sertraline prescription for his P.T.S.D. that his last doctor discontinued per Charles Weyland's request. Kjon has reached his last day of isolated confinement, and will be released after the interview. Kjon Schaefer and Dr. Wallace are accompanied by Hadrick Schaefer.

(P.W.) Here is your Sertraline ,Mr. Schaefer.

(Kj) Thanks Dr. So what is it going to be this time?

(P.W.) Concerning Kj's mental state, and, no offense intended, why did you allow Kj to fight in missions even when he showed signs of mental and emotional instability?

(Hadrick) His instability came more from his training than any thing else.

(Kj) I was being taught things I couldn't understand, and while I was good for how old I was, but I needed to be better. That and the constant stress from Hadrick and the other marines also weighted down on me some. Not to mention the physical requirements. But you already know all of this. We've told you about it.

(P.W.) I understand but I feel like there's something missing. You had to have had something that allowed you to deal with the conditions you were being put through. A drive of some sort that made you continue.

(Kj) I understood why I was being put through the conditions, I knew Hadrick here wanted me to be a marine. He wanted to toughen me up so I could kill shadows. It was better than being beaten by Weyland for no good reason. Unlike that dick, Hadrick saw some usefulness in me, potential.

The motivation I was given in boot camp also made me want to kill the shadows, since they'd killed Mom, but I was to scared at first. Sure I put three marines in the hospital for the duration of their lives, but shadows were different. Their entire bodies were weapons.

Kjon is about to light a cigarette.

(Kj) You mind doc?

(P.W.) No, no, go ahead.

(Kj) Thanks.

He lights a cigarette for himself, and a cigar for Hadrick. They suck a quick drag of their smoke sticks, before blowing a smoky satisfied sigh together.

(Hadrick) But I didn't fear the bugs. I didn't fear them because when my wife died, I felt like I'd lost my whole world. We were trying to start a family, but that never got to happen. I wasn't on the edge or anything, but I was definitely hard.

(Kj) I can account for that. Hell there were times I felt the same way. Especially during my days in boot camp. After finding a... precious picture in his desk, I could understand why he was so hard as he was. That along with Jones ass beating gave me all the motivation I needed. I wanted to fell the same hate he felt.

(P.W.) But what about your nightmares, and the psychological examinations? They said you were having terrible nightmares at the time? Didn't either of you do anything to do anything about it.

(Hadrick) I mostly just ignored them, but I did begin giving a sht after his first mission.

(Kj) He did it because he wanted me to know that no one cared, and even if there was someone who did-outside of God and Jesus-there would come a time when there wouldn't be any body who cared, and that I'd need to fend for myself. I honestly have no resentment for him doing that, in fact I'm grateful for it.

(Hadrick) You're welcome ,Son.

(Kj) Thanks Hadrick. Anyway, yes, I did have nightmares and was having problems, but the only way I was going to fix those problems was if I worked harder to fixing them on my own sure I couldn't have done any of it on my own without help, but you get the idea. The harder I trained, the closer I'd come to facing the shadows.

(P.W.) Could you say it was therapeutic?

(Both) Eh.

(Hadrick) I mean I guess you could say it was, but I mean that's what we have music for.

(Kj) OH don't forget these.

He shakes a box of cigarettes.

(Kj) Yeah I guess you could say that to.

(Hadrick) Of course that was our situation, before you became my son.

(Kj) Hey I just said I looked at you as my dad. You're the one that wanted me as your son. You didn't have to adopt me.

(Hadrick) Don't lie to me with that bullsht. I know you wanted me as your dad, and you know it too.

The two laugh heartily for a few seconds.

(Kj) I'm just saying. Okay, okay, okay. Let's cut the crap. But yeah you could say it was in some way therapeutic. The two of us bonding and sht. But I was still a marine, and I was going to get out there one way or another. I'd already killed a xenomorph before my first mission so yeah I was going to go. Plus this guy here went through the heart ache and pain to get my ass where it needed to be so... Besides I made a promise. That and because I hate them for what they did to Mom, but you already know about that.

(Hadrick) The kid has a point, and those were the reasons why I let him go in the first place. He wanted to kill xenomorphs, not for fun, he hates them with a passion just as much as I do, and does what he knows is right.

(Kj) It not only helped me there, but it also gave me purpose. I'd been pretty deep in the Bible, was a convert to the Christian church, and baptized at nine years old. I knew much about the Gospel and it's teachings, and I did my absolute hardest to follow each of them to a T. Once I accepted all of this as my belief, I made a promise never to kill a single human, and do my hardest to protect them.

Even after this I was still treated with a lot of disrespect and criticism by my fellow bunk mates, only they weren't stupid enough to physically confront me. A couple guys liked me I guess, but most of them still hated me for the same reasons Levinson and Jones did. I couldn't hold that against them. I'd be pretty mad myself. I just wouldn't take it out on a kid who was barely half my age.

After killing my first shadow, though, all of that criticism and hate disappeared. The marines started to like me more. They began seeing me as one of them. I will admit I held the same respect for them in that regard, despite their biased attitude of me in boot camp. My first mission also helped me make a name for myself in the Corps. But the one particular mission though solidified my place in the Corps.

(Hadrick) After we saw the fight for ourselves on his mask, we cheered so loud it could be heard all the way from Acheron.

(Kj) I don't mean that but...

(Hadrick) You know I'm right Kj. I know you know I'm right.

(Kj) Are you just saying that to boost your own ego ,Dad.

(Hadrick) No.

(Kj) You lying dog.

(Hadrick) You watch your mouth son, and stop calling me dad.

(Kj) Alright ,Dad.

(P.W.) Just out of curiosity, could you possibly elaborate?

(Kj) Sure. You mind if I use the audio from that recorder once were done.

(P.W.) Yes.

(Kj) Thanks. Also get ready for a story, because it will be long. And I will be including some graphic elements. I'm also doing it for the sake of the story also. I'm just trying to warn you before I start.

(P.W.) I understand. Thank you for telling me.

(Hadrick) He fought a Predalien.

(P.W.) What is a Predalien?

(Kj) Hey ,Hadrick, I think she wants details.

(P.W.) I would appreciate it.

(Hadrick) Go ahead son.

He says as he lovingly pats Kj on the shoulder and lights another cigar.

(Kj) It was sometime in July of 2607 during the aftermath of that massive heat wave we faced that summer, which, consequently, extended into autumn of that season as well. It was so bad we all slept with our sheets off, some of us didn't even wear anything when they went to bed. I however, was snoozing comfortably in my shrinking bunk. I was thirteen at the time, and I'd grown some since my first outing with the shadows on Talco. I wasn't huge, not like what I am now of course, but I was definitely bigger.

I was having a good night sleep after a hard day's worth of exercise. Hadrick always made sure we were fit for the fight. No matter what circumstances we were in; whether we were sleeping, getting cleaned up, answering the call of nature, or making out, we were always ready to drop it and grab our socks. Which is what happened to us this night, or morning rather. A lot of times we did this simple exercise that woke us up early in the morning, even earlier than we normally got up, which was done every so often to keep us grunts on our feet. It involved a alarm clock system that was strapped to an air horn. A lot of times it was just for practice, a simple drill, we'd begin in boot camp and continue even after just to keep us sharp. Other times it was for real. Most of the time though it was the former. Although real stand-up fights happened pretty often themselves. There were very few instances where we'd actually get a good night's rest, and take into about that waking up at 3:00 and 5:00 a.m. which is normal wake up time, but 2:00 that's still sleep time for us. You can understand we were all very cranky insomniacs a lot of the time we were awake.

I clicked my mandibles in an irate growl when I heard that thing go off that morning. I'd done some pretty hard work as did the rest of my bunk mates who weren't as tolerable of the heat as I was, and were pretty pissed off themselves. We bullsht a bit as we got ready a lot of times. A lot of the guys I bunked with in my barracks had become my friends. We'd quickly complain that this was just another stupid exercise as we got our crap together. You know.

I remember telling one of my buddies Tonny, that if this was another fake out, I was going to break that air horn, and chuck it out the window. Once I was outside with my gear strapped to me, Hadrick gave us a briefing on the situation. It was for real alright. It wasn't very serious. 34 drone shadows, plus a couple of warriors, and one special had escaped.

(P.W.) What's a special?

(Kj) A special is, as it's name implies, a special type of xeno. It's one that isn't your normal drone, warrior, praetorian, or even queen. Specials are basically shadows that aren't of the normal variety we're used to hunting. Obviously Weyland wanted us to collect the specimen for research. And of course we didn't listen to him. We never did when it came to saving company assets. We always set our priorities ahead, which were 1: Protect the colonists 2: Kill all Shadows 3: Make sure they're all dead. And that's what we did.

(P.W.) And Weyland didn't chastise or punish any of you?

(Hadrick) He wanted to in the worst way, but unfortunately for him, given the fact I was one of the biggest heads of the colonial marines on this planet at the time, I didn't let him do sht to us.

(P.W.) How?

(Hadrick) Did Kjon over here tell you what one of our purposes in the Corps at the time was? It was to protect the colonists no matter what. Weyland gave me that order himself, and I told him it was a lifetime contract deal! I have a copy of the document we both signed and all the legal bullsht that goes with it. Hell the thing stated that Weyland shouldn't have even had xenos on colonized ground, but I'd been working with them in the Corps long enough to know that they never held true to their word. Weyland also knew I had that document, and that if he tried to do anything about it I'd expose him. I didn't want to for the colonies' sake, but I would if I had to.

(P.W.) Why did Weyland sign it in the first place?

(Kj) It was his way of trying to make a form of government. The governments on other planetary colonies is different from ours you see. As the economic, and physical conditions of the colony and it's environment are big key factors to it's functioning, as such certain laws have to be placed in order to keep things safe for the colonists, as they do all the work raking in the money and resources for Weyland's secret operations. He dealt deals with other corporations trading stuff he had with other corporations for things he didn't have. He had something they wanted, and they had something he wanted also, vice versa. If you don't have a functioning self sustainable economy to continue raking in credits, you aren't able to continue to produce or get stuff that other people want, so you can make those trades, which you need to continue work for these research operations. And given the fact Weyland Yutani has so many business interests on so many planets that they own, it is kind of necessary to institute laws to govern those colonies. To keep things moving, so both sides can prosper.

(Hadrick) And if were talking about specimen retrieval, I gave the order not to take any xenomorphs alive, but kill them all. And concerning the agreement Weyland and I signed in relation to that topic, while it did say we kind of were suppose to protect the assets, they were xenomorphs. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. We knew what they were capable of and wouldn't put ourselves in a life or death situation just for the sake of an asset that can't be controlled. The only reason why we did anything was because of the colonists. We had a lot of friends and family in those colonies, and we wanted to make sure they were safe. But back on topic.

(Kj) Fortunately, out of the total 39 shadows that had escaped containment, only 20 of them had managed to escape Facility #56. Unfortunately we were in Facility #31 which is miles away from Facility #56. We'd also need to stop of at the facility to drop some guys off to help assess damages and provide support for our boys at #56. And take into account Facility #56 was very close to a certain colony, that being the capital colony of this whole fcking planet ,New Hadleys Hope. With New Hadleys Hope's population of two hundred and thirty hundred million, within a ten to fifteen mile stretch of land, if even so much as one shadow managed to establish a hive in that area, and it was left uncontrolled, Merciful Master Jesus, it was going to be a living hell.

Thankfully though Weyland kept tabs on all his shadows. Tabs are these little tracking devises that Weyland Yutani developed to keep track of their assets and where they went, particularly xenomorphs. Made it very helpful for us marines in finding them.

After dropping off some of our guys at #56 we wasted no time intercepting the shadows. We picked up the tabs' signals on the dropship's satellite television radar. Thankfully they hadn't made it to the colony yet, and were all moving in one big pack. I felt this feeling of unease as we zeroed in on them. I'd hunted shadows before, I wasn't worried about getting killed, so long as I did nothing stupid, which I almost never did. It's just whenever I'd hunted them, I found out that they'd get smarter and smarter as we continued to fight them. They'd take notes, and learn from her mistakes all the time until they succeeded in their goals.

(P.W.) But these were from Facility #56, and where did the special come from, and why would this facility be housing xenomorphs when they were so close to the colony?

(Kj) The shadows that came from #56 came from one of the other facilities farther away that had a queen in their lockers, Facility #56 just managed to catch them and contain them, which I was kind of shocked by. And Facility #56 wasn't a research base, it was a factory that mass produce weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and a bunch of other stuff that we marines, and the Weyland Yutani Corporate Security Task Force use for our missions. Speaking of them this was one of their facilities, a lot of the colonies on this planet had these bases stationed around them to secure the colonies to make sure no xenos slip through the cracks. I honestly have to admit the idea of that type of facility sounded pretty good to me, until I learned about the Weyland Yutani Corporate Security Task Force. They're similar to us, but they are Weylands grunts, and they do as he tells them to and get paid big bucks for it. They actually did protect Weyland Yutani's assets, while we kept the colonists safe. The W.Y.C.S.T.F. was actually created for that purpose, to protect the assets, but later on they were made to replace us. As for the special I'm getting to it.

We intercepted the xenos 30 miles out from New Hadley's. Like I said my suspicions about these shadows were making me uncomfortable, not just concerning the special one, but about how intelligent these fckers actually were. How smart were these things? I kept asking myself over and over and over again as I sat in my seat.

We had this huge fricking Automated M56 Smart gun mounted underneath our dropship. We had permission from Weyland to use the thing unless we were 10 miles from any colony as the thing made a pretty loud series of bangs when ever we fired it. The sound alone could stretch up to 3 miles, but given how secretive he wanted to keep his operations he restricted us to 10 miles. We opened up the thing from it's compartment locked onto the swiftly moving bugs and let it rip. The sound of 10x28mm caseless tracer rounds, coupled with the EDM of Alan Walker's Spectre, blaring from my iPhone, was music to my ears.

And if your wondering where I got the iPhone from, it was a gift given to me by Hadrick. I set up a holder for it on my bio-mask so I could listen to it while I was busy. Helps to calm myself, whenever I fight. Sometimes discomfort helps to make someone get into the fight more, but most other times it's just best to stay as calm and focused as possible. Music helps.

Any rate I watched as the light green rounds tore through the tree line below. Almost instantly the little green dots that showed the xenos position in relation to us on the monitor inside the dropship disappeared. I was momentarily distracted by the noise from the Smart gun and my iPhone's EDM music playing, that I almost forgot about my paranoia. As soon as we dropped down and inspected the bodies my paranoia came back to me.

There were only 6 bodies on the ground when we went to inspect our work, worst yet the tabs from all twenty shadows were attached to the six dead shadows. At first we thought it was an ambush. We all held a perimeter, but nothing came to attack. We still sensed something was amiss. I began sweeping the area for any signs of the missing shadows, and once I did I was hit with realization. We hadn't been lead into a trap, but rather we'd been diverted. I found a pheromone trail with my bio-mask from where the shadow group had split. Along with it I found traces of acidic blood from when the shadows had dug their tabs out of their skin, which the 6-now dead-shadows had. I couldn't believe it, these things had played us. I turned on my bio-masks earpiece, another feature I added to the bio-mask. I reported the situation to Hadrick and told him I was in pursuit of them, and without even waiting to receive his permission I took off in the direction the bugs had went.

As I ran after them, I saw another split in the trail. The shadow's had thought ahead again and made another decoy strategy. This group was larger and headed straight for the colony. I was going to have to let the retreating shadows go, and save the colonists. I did give the marines a heads up in the direction the others were headed though as I went after the ones converging towards the colony, so I wasn't letting them get away.

As I was breaching New Hadleys' borders, I found myself diving through an electrified barbed wire fence, which had been made to keep shadows out as a last line of defense. Thankfully the xenomorphs had managed to actually break through the fencing somehow, and I was on the end of the fence where the electrified part wasn't, but the barbed wire still stung like a btch. After tearing myself up getting out of the stuff, I followed them deeper into the colony. I found them setting up shop inside a hotel in the pool area. There were some teenagers inside have a skinny dipping, drinking party inside when the bugs had came in and crashed the party. I don't know how they were in there past curfew hours, or how no body had heard their dumb asses, but that's not the point.

Thankfully none of these stupid kids had been hurt, the shadow's had just affixed them to the walls with their disgusting resin, while they prepared the facehuggers. Yeah I forgot to mention they brought some eggs with them. How they managed to do so I have no idea. I wasted no time diving into the pool area through the huge glass wall in the side alley, and began slaughtering the shadows. I dropped most of them with my wristblades and my smart disc, although one tried to sneak up behind me forcing me to put my homemade plasma caster to good use. None of the remaining plasma casters from the lab were functional after Mom torched it, but after dissecting one of them, and figuring out it's mechanics I made another one. I tested it out, and while it didn't work as well as most plasma casters are suppose to, it still did the job. After I finished the shadows and most of the eggs, I ended it off by saving a topless, blonde, teenage girl from a face hugger. I caught the facehugger in mid-air by it's tail, as it leapt off the floor to impregnate the girl. I watched the little arachnid fcker struggle helplessly, before I tore it apart with my claws. I surveyed the area looking for any more shadows, but that was all of them. I did stop long enough to get a quick eye full of the girl with her bra off. Yeah, that was when I was going through my phase.

Anyway after admiring the attractive Ooman's unmentionables, I activated my cloaking devise and, went back to work with the remaining five shadows, I was keeping track of every shadow we'd killed and how many more remained. Their were the six we'd gunned down earlier, and their were nine in the hotel pool, excluding the facehuggers, which left five more to go. I would take note of any potential facehuggers with the remaining five.

I went back on the shadow's trail where they'd separated, and followed the trail. After a few moments of trailing them, I saw the special.

(P.W.) What was it?

(Kj) A Predalien. The result of a facehugger impregnating one of my species. Fun fact those creatures are actually nothing new, at least not to me and my people. We see them as dishonorable Abominations that must be destroyed. My kind literally hates them that much. I had no idea how Weyland got ahold of one, but I didn't have time to care about asking questions. I would have to kill this Abomination.

In Yatja society an Abomination that spawned from a member of a particular clan, must be hunted down by another member from the same clan, as it's very existence brings shame to rest of the clan and all of society. The clan member of whatever clan he belonged to were the ones considered responsible for it's creation, and would be held accountable. Thus it would be their duty to destroy it, if they wish to maintain their honorable status with the rest of society itself. I didn't know where this Abomination had came from or what clan it had spawned from. But then again I didn't really care. I would just kill it because it was the honorable thing to do. Also if the clan this creature came from found out about it, then hey somebody owed me a favor. That's how it works in Yatja society. If someone from outside the clan has slain the Abomination for them, they've just helped that clan maintain it's honorable status with the rest of society, therefore that clan owes them a favor. It's just the honorable thing to do. I scratch your back, you scratch mine.

I moved swiftly, yet stealthily through the trees keeping pace with this ugly mother fcker and it's four compadres. As I followed them I tried to make a determination on how I would eliminate each of them. Obviously I would need to get them into an operable area from which to fight them in, next I would need to cancel off their escape, then I would need to take out the four regular shadows so they wouldn't cause any complications, then finally I would take on the Abomination.

(P.W.) How did it go?

He pauses to light another cigarette.

(Kj) The Abomination and the shadows that had followed it were heading into this clearing. I managed to lay down a quick circle of gas fuel on the ground which I then set ablaze. I should also mention another detail. I'd modified one of my wristblades with parts of a M240 Incinerator Unit primarily the fuel canister, part of the barrel, and some of the trigger mechanisms. I then took apart my right wristblade gauntlet and put the parts back together again. When I flex my wrist in a certain position with it will trip a trigger that causes the flame thrower to flip out of the top of the gauntlet, and begins to fire. I made it so that it was compactible and the thing works wonders, especially since I can tap into the shadows greatest fear with it.

(P.W.) Fire.

(Kj) Correct. The shadows screeched in fear as they sensed the flames surrounding them. The Abomination was well aware of the dangerous obstacle in front of it, but it didn't show any fear. They were now trapped, and they could sense my presence. There was no escape. They had no choice. It would have to end in a fight. The shadows remained on guard hissing at the surrounding area. They couldn't sense my pheromones past the flames. The Abomination ,however, knew exactly where I was and tracked me with it's gaze as I circled the ring of fire. This creature was an intelligent beast. Much more so than it's friends. which I took out with ST. After dropping the four xenos with my pulse rifle I entered into the flaming arena.

My combatant stood menacingly in front of me on the opposite side of the flaming ring. I discarded my pulse rifle throwing it outside the arena, and broke out my latest combi-stick. The combi-stick is a good weapon, but I just don't know if it was me or something, cause I kept losing and breaking them. At any rate, after I readied my weapon I began the fight with a challenging roar. I normally let my opponent start the fight, but I was overestimating my abilities, and underestimating my opponents. Sure I had more weapons, and superior fire power, but I was forgetting to think. This creature was smart. It had managed to trick me twice before, and not only that, but this thing was far stronger than an adult Predator, and I wasn't an adult at the time.

The Predalien returned my challenge with a roar of acceptance, and we charged. I charged forward with the combi-stick hoping to impale the creature or possibly wound it, but the creature moved aside at the last moment and grabbed the weapon. It used my forward momentum to fling me into the air, causing me to let go of the combi-stick. The beast threw it away and stomped towards me as I got back up. I tried to dig my wristblades into it, but the Abomination caught my wrist, and threw me away again. The Predalien then tried to impale me with it's tail, but I moved away before it could land the hit. I unwisely tried to go after it and ended up getting swatted into a tree by the monster's tail. As I recovered I saw the Predalien standing over me, and I tried to retaliate by driving my wristblades into one of it's legs. My strike was to slow and my arm ended up getting sliced by it's tail. The Abomination then picked me up and slammed me down on the ground hard. I was able to roll away in time before it pounded me with both of it's massive arms. I backed away to gain some distance on the creature and recollect myself. The creature tried to close that distance by charging at me. I tried to stop it or at least slow it down with some shots from my plasma caster. To my discovery these creatures were much more durable and resilient than normal shadows or Yatja were as well. The blasts exploded on the creatures head and body, but it wasn't enough to even leave a mark on the creature. In fact, I don't even think it slowed it down, it just ignored them, and kept on advancing. It head butted me, knocking me to the ground a couple feet away.

The creature pounced on top of me and began to beat and claw at me with it's forelimbs. You can believe that hurt like hell. I tried to swipe at it with my wristblades, but my cuts were to short and to weak. I tried to use my plasma caster on it again, but the Predalien grabbed it and crushed it in it's hand, before tearing it off my back pack, and threw it away. After a couple more seconds of getting my ass stomped into the ground the creature had decided it had had enough fun toying with me and went to claim my skull and spine as a trophy. Thankfully I still had one last trick up my belt. I unsheathed Uncle A'rgr-lo's smart disc, and swung it upwards at the Abomination's claw as it brought it down to dig them into me. I heard the creature roar in pain before I saw the damage. I'd managed to cut off it's fingers.

I took that opportunity and kicked the Predalien in the stomach area, before I threw the smart disc at it. I managed to nail it in the face, and cut off one of it's mandibles. I quickly swung my wristblades at the side of the creatures head after the disc cut the monster, managing to slice a few of it's dreadlocks. The creature angrily batted me away with it's fingerless claw. The monster kicked me down again as I recovered and prepared to stomp my head in, but it didn't expect the smart disc to come back. These things can fly through the air for a short period of time, before it's automatically recalled to the sender, kind of like a futuristic boomerang.

The smart disc managed to cut into the Predaliens, back but got stuck inside it. It did provide me with enough of a distraction for me to recover and drive my wristblades into the creature's torso. The creature recoiled backwards, allowing me to get up and go for my combi-stick. This time I wasn't going to stupidly attack it. I was going to let it come to me.

After tearing the disc out of itself, the creature turned to me and gave an outraged bellow, showing it's inner jaw as it did so. The Abomination then threw my smart disc to the ground, and charged after me. I stood my ground and tried to position myself so I could stab at it. The creature also saw this, and avoided my forward thrust. The creature caught me by the head and threw me down. The Predalien tried to tear my head off, but I stabbed it in the shoulder with the combi-stick before it could even try. I then began to swing and stab at the Predalien in the face arms and torso. My efforts briefly managed to hurt the creature, but it didn't stay stunned for to long. As I skillfully tried to make rotational horizontal swipe to it's abdomen, the monster caught my weapon, and threw me away with it. This time I kept my combi-stick. As the creature came to continue attacking me, a clever idea came to me. I let the Predalien chase me for a moment before tricking the creature into head butting a small tree. The tree exploded into tiny splinters of wood, before timbering down.

This momentarily stagger forward before falling over. I took the time I had to bury my combi-stick into the ground, before climbing an even larger and taller tree that was close by, one that I was sure would support both my weight and the Predalien's. The 10 foot tall monster speedily trailed me up the tree, and tried to catch me but I was to fast for it. I'd spent a lot of time traversing through the trees in the jungle, both during P.T. and during many of my missions, so I was pretty skilled at climbing and swinging. My smaller body and lighter weight also allowed me to move quicker than the Abomination, who in contrast could only clumsily claw and swipe as it charged forward, not even bothering to dodge the branches, but instead run through them. Eventually we reached a point where the tree would no longer continue to support our weight, and I leapt at the advancing Predalien, causing it to lose it's hold on the tree and fall off with me. The creature tried to shot it's inner jaw at me, as we descended onto a few branches, but I back handed the monster with my wristblade gauntlet, which allowed me to push the beast off of me. I managed to catch myself on a branch. The Predalien continued to fall, hitting several branches painfully on the way down, before landing right where I needed it to. The creature was impaled on my combi-stick which had bent to the point it had broken. Like I said I was terrible at holding onto my combi-sticks, but I didn't care at the moment. I was still alive and I'd managed to best my opponent.

After clawing my way down to the bottom of the tree I was surprised to find my enemy was still alive. The Predalien tried to free itself, but the ordeal had weakened the creature drastically. It roared in miserable pain as it tried with all it's effort to break free. I almost felt kind of sorry for it. I quickly put the monster down by decapitating it's head cleanly with my smart disc.

After that I gave a humble prayer of forgiveness to God. I had been to arrogant at the start of the fight, which had nearly gotten me killed. Thankfully I still had the Lord with me to help me, and defeat the Abomination. After giving my repentance, I stood up and gave a loud roar of victory for Him, and Mother. Afterwards I grabbed my stuff, and carried my trophy back to the team.

(Hadrick) As soon as I saw Kjon come back from the fight all bloodied up with the head of that monster on his shoulders, I couldn't help but feel proud of my boy's work.

(Kj) Definitely one of my better hunts, although had I not acted like a teenager, and underestimated the creature before the fight than maybe I would have been so beaten up, but I survived the encounter with the creature and killed it honorably, especially with how young I was when I did it, and with the fact that I really only used my wristblades, smart disc, and combi-stick I was lucky. But yeah, that is another one of my hunts I hold in very high regard. Although the story doesn't end there.

(Hadrick) Initially though while I was proud of what Kjon had done, I didn't show my enthusiasm for his kill, until after chewing him out first.

(P.W.) What for? He stopped a potential infestation from happening, killed a Predalien, and save a bunch of teenagers.

(Kj) The latter was why.

(Hadrick) Weyland was on my ass after he found out about the "destruction of valuable property" which I told him to go kiss my ass about, although his complaint about Kjon making his presence know to the colony I could understand his concern for. If the colonies knew Weyland had a frigging Predator in the Corps this entire time, they might become suspicious as to why, and the last thing he wanted was for them to find out about his secret operations. I gave Kjon here a thorough chewing out about it, but in the end I was to proud not to let him enjoy his accomplishment. Kid killed a Predalien stopped a infestation, and saved a bunch of stupid teenagers. I also couldn't blame the kid for doing what he did. Besides the creatures were already in the colony, and it would've been to late to stop it had he not done what he did.

(Kj) After all was said and done I rode peacefully back to Facility #31 watching the dawn break overhead. I honestly didn't think much of the rising sun, but I took it as a sign from God that he'd been merciful to me. I took that message seriously, and gave a smile. Although I didn't care much for the beauty of the sun, I was grateful to still be alive to see it, and I was also thankful that I hadn't let Mom down. I had learned a valuable lesson about the consequences of being prideful, and being humble, and was able to go home wiser from the experience. That and you'd better believe I enjoyed the good morning's worth of sleep I got afterward.

The session continues for a while longer until the session ends.

Sorry this one took as long as it did to make, I tried to finish it as quickly as possible while also keeping the fights entertaining enough tto read and the details short but accurate, I was having a bunch of stuff happen over the past week with my moving plans happening so suddenly. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and if there's anything you'd like to comment on don't be afraid to ask. It helps out quite a bit actually. Thanks :)
