I'm back with another one! I still have at least four more planned because I'm so in love with this version of Tris and Tobias! If you have an idea for an outtake for this story let me know! Hope you enjoy this one! Check out Born of Fire if you haven't already!

Tris groans as she rolls over and she smiles as Tobias pulls her closer. She glances at the door and sees that it was still locked from their lovemaking last night. They had a baby monitor in the twins' room, even though they slept through the night now, at 2 Tris still would get up in the middle of the night and check on them. They had a strict rule about the boys not sleeping in their bed. Now that TJ was 8, he would only come in when he was scared which was usually during a bad storm.

Hopefully, the kids would sleep a little longer so she could enjoy another round with her husband. She had practice later in the afternoon but she had plenty of time.

"Good morning Beautiful" Tobias whispers against her shoulder and leaves a soft kiss.

"Good morning" she whispers, rolling over and throwing a leg over his hip. She bites her lip and he chuckles knowing what she was thinking.

"We haven't had this much sex since we were trying to get pregnant" he chuckles as he rolls on his back as she settles on top of him.

"What's wrong baby?" Tobias asks as he sits up seeing her expression changed.

She slides off him and pulls the sheet around her naked body not sure how to say what she wanted to say.

"Tris, you're scaring me, what just happened?"

Tris takes a deep breath in through her nose. She didn't expect this to come up right now, but there was no point in hiding it anymore. The feelings had been there for a few months now. She'd talked with Marlene and Christina about it but still hadn't brought it up to Tobias, not sure how he would feel about it.

"I have been feeling like I want to have another baby, but…" Tris chokes up feeling the tears about to spill over.

"The doctors advised against it….' he finishes for her. "Come here," He says quietly while sitting back against the headboard and opening his arms to her.

She crawls over and rests against his chest and lets his arms tighten around her.

"Why didn't you tell me that's what you wanted?" He says after a few minutes.

"Because I wasn't sure how I felt yet, Do I want a baby because Marlene and Caleb are trying again? Or is it because I just can't? Do we really need 4 kids?"

Tris sighs after she rattles off all the questions.

"If we want to have 4 kids we can have 4 kids, or 5 or 6.."

Tris laughs "Okay, slow down Mr…."

"I totally think Mar and Caleb will have 6" he teases looking down at her.

"Yeah me too. She smiles a little bit but then furrows her eyebrows as she looks at him again "T. Do you want another baby?"

Tobias rubs his hands over her while he thinks and tries to find the right words.

"The thought of us having a little girl is something, I can see her, she looks just like you, hazel eyes and all"

Tris pushes herself up to look at him.

"So we both really want this….I can call my doctor and get my IUD taken out again"

"Whoa, Slow down, we aren't doing that" Tobias pushes back.

"They said they advised against it, not that we couldn't do it" Tris snaps

"And they wouldn't have advised against it if it wasn't serious"

Tris puts her head in her hands. She was so confused, her body was supposed to be able to birth babies, she had done this already why did this have to happen.

"Tris, I'm not willing to gamble with your life," Tobias tells her honestly as he sees her fighting back tears.

He goes to grab her to pull her to him but they hear one of the twins cry out on the baby monitor.

"I'll get them," Tobias tells her but she pulls away still visibly upset.

"No, I got it" She replies coldly as she gets out of the bed to throw on her discarded shorts and t-shirt from the night before.

"Tris, Babe come one" Tobias pleads.

"I said I got it" she repeats and heads out the door.

Tobias growls in frustration as he flops back on the bed. This wasn't how he wanted that conversation to end and it definitely was how he thought the day was going to start.

"Good Morning Sweetie" Tris coos as she picks a crying Russell up in her arms who instantly wraps his arms around her neck. "Did you have a bad dream?"

"Uh-huh," he whimpers as she rubs his back.

"It's okay, Mamma's here" she soothes.

Quiet moments like this she treasured. She was having a hard time grasping how fast all the kids were growing. She feels like it was just yesterday that TJ was as small as the twins and here he was already 8 years old and half her height. She was pretty sure he was going to be taller than Tobias.

She plants a kiss on Russell's head and walks over to Jordan. They were planning on transitioning them to toddler beds soon but it was another tug at her heart that her babies weren't babies anymore.

"Good Morning sweet boy, are you hungry?" She asks Jordan as he hops up.

"DJ" he yells and Tris chuckles. He was having trouble with his t pronunciations. As if on cue, TJ comes running in and wraps his arms around Tris.

"Good Morning Baby," she tells him as she rubs his head.

"Morning Mamma, Can I go to practice with you today?" he asks looking up.

"Hmmm I think we can do that" One of the things Tris loved about playing in Chicago was that all the women who played for the Sky or worked as coaches, could bring their kids to practice, and accommodations for childcare were provided. TJ loved going to practice with her now, not just to play with the other kids but also because he wanted to practice his basketball drills too. The goals were too high for him to practice shooting but he liked watching what the Sky coaches did and wanted to mimic them. He did the same thing when he went to practice with Tobias when the Bulls were in season.

"Yes! I gotta work on my dribble" he exclaims, breaking away from her and running back to his room.

Tris chuckles at his enthusiasm as she starts to get the twins ready for breakfast.

"What's up with you Mr. Grumpy Pants?" Uriah teases as he leans back on the park bench that he and Tobias were sitting on.

Christina was in New York visiting her mother and Uriah assured her that he could make it with Angel and Javy for a few days without his mother coming to visit. He and Tobias had formed Daddy daycare in the offseason which was a bit crazy with five boys running around but it gave Tris and Christina a break.

Tobias sighs. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go there just yet but he needed to sort out his feelings about Tris wanting to get pregnant again.

"Tris and I are not seeing eye to eye today"

"Want to talk about it?" Uriah offers.

Tobias takes in a breath through his nose as he tries to find his words.

"Tris wants to have another baby"

"Ah and you don't want to dethrone Marlene and Caleb for the most kids in the family"

Tobias snorts with laughter as he looks over at Javy, Jordan, and Russell who were still playing in the sandbox.

"Daddy look at me!" Angel yells from the slide.

"I see you, Buddy, good job" Uriah calls back giving him a thumbs-up as he slides down.

"No, I do but the doctors said that another birth wasn't a great idea after how sick she was after the twins and.."

"Tris is being Tris" Uriah finishes knowing how stubborn she could be.

"Yep," Tobias says, popping the p while still looking at the boys.

He had been so scared when her blood pressure spiked and she started bleeding. Thank God Natalie and his mother were still there, he might have lost his mind those hours they waited while she was in surgery. He was faced with losing his wife and having two newborns that needed his attention and it damn near broke him.

"Have you even talked about other alternatives, adoption, Ummm that thing Lynn and Kima did?"

"She didn't even give me a chance…well I guess I didn't really leave room for discussion. We did talk about IVF when we were trying for the twins but, I just don't get why she's being so stubborn now" Tobias sighs as he reflects on the conversation realizing his comments sounded more like a definitive answer and not a solution.

"Would it be Tris if she wasn't being stubborn? And what does she do when she's backed into a corner?" Uriah raises his eyebrows in question causing Tobias to chuckle.

Uriah was right, Tris didn't take well to ultimatums, he had to think of a way to get her to look at her options and give her a choice, the question was how did he get her to make the choice that was the best option for her health?

"You seem deep in thought" Johanna remarks as she stands next to Tris on the court.

For Tris to be off in a game or practice, it usually meant there was something going on in her head. Joanna wanted to get to the root of it, to give Tris a chance to focus before their game against the Connecticut Sun the next day. Practice had just finished as she was dribbling a ball watching TJ as he and two other children who belonged to other players on the team were on the court dribbling.

"Sorry, I know I've been distracted today" Tris admits pulling her lips between her teeth.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Good job TJ, now practice shooting some baskets" she calls out. He was so determined, it warmed her heart. She and Tobias agreed they didn't want to pressure him to play basketball but he had skill already in his little league games and he promised them he would tell them if he didn't want to play anymore.

"Okay!" he chirps back.

She turns her attention back to Johanna.

"I Ummm, having a little bit of baby fever"

"Ah, I see" Johanna sets her clipboard down on the chairs behind them. "And Tobias isn't on board?"

"When I had the twins, the docs suggested I don't try and carry another baby and Tobias doesn't want to risk it"

"Tris, you didn't even want an epidural because you were afraid it might mess up your ability to play, why would you want to take such a huge risk?"

"I…I don't know Coach" Tris admits with a frustrated groan as she wipes her face with her hand.

"Tris, you have three beautiful boys and a husband, you need to think about them before you fly off the handle about a decision that could put your life in danger"

Tris breathes in through her nose, Johanna was right, she doesn't know how she let her mind run away with sticking to her guns on this.

"Thanks, Coach," She tells her sincerely. She looks at her watch, everyone else had headed to the locker room for rehab after practice. Traffic was going to be hell getting back to Lake Forrest now and she knew TJ would stay on the court until he tuckered out.

"Come on TJ, Let's pack it up" she yells.

"Awe Mamma" TJ whines as he picks up his dribble.

"Yeah Awe Mamma is right, We need to get home for dinner"

"Okay, See you Ms. Johanna," TJ sighs dramatically, sounding defeated as Tris and Johanna chuckle.

"Get out of those clothes and I'll be up to run your bath water in a second" Tris instructs as TJ barrels in the house and heads for the stairs.

"Hey bud, did you have fun today?" Tobias asks. He had Jordan in his arms while he stirred a pan of spaghetti sauce on the stove. Russell was in his high chair trying to feed himself some applesauce and he immediately starts clamoring for Tris when he sees her.

"I did, I worked on shooting baskets today and my dribble"

"Good job!" Tobias praises.

"Hey," Tris says quietly as she picks up Russell from his highchair.

"Hey" He replies. He hated the tension in the air, leftover from their disagreement that morning.

"You made dinner?" Tris says, looking at the stove. Tobias only knew how to make one thing that didn't require the grill and that was spaghetti and he usually did when he thought he was in trouble.

"Yeah, the twins had applesauce and chicken nuggets"

"I'll get Russey cleaned up with TJ if you can handle Jordan"

Tobias nods and sighs as she goes upstairs.

TJ and Russell splash around in the tub while Tris tries to work her mind over how she was feeling. She didn't like being out of sync with her husband, she needed to get over whatever she was feeling.

Dinner is filled with TJ chattering on about practice with Tris and his summer basketball league that would start the following week. Once all the kids are in bed Tobias takes an opportunity to try and have another conversation.

"Can we talk?" Tobias asks after Tris comes back downstairs.

They sit on the couch and Tris pulls her legs underneath her.

"I'm sorry if I didn't seem supportive this morning…" He starts.

"Tobias, stop, you are right, I'm sorry for being stubborn.."

Tobias raises his eyebrows in shock at her statement.

"Are you feeling okay?"

Tris rolls her eyes and smirks and smacks him on the arm.

"Owwww, Okay, maybe you are feeling like yourself after all"

"Look like I said, I'm sorry for not trying to see the other side of this. I realize that it's not just about me doing what I want but it's about our family. We have three boys that I can't imagine leaving alone if something were to happen to me"

Tobias grabs her arm and pulls her into his lap.

"You also have a husband who needs you and loves you very much," he whispers, playing with one of her braids.

She gives him a soft kiss feeling relief wash over her body and a little ashamed of how she acted that morning.

"While the twins were taking a nap today I did a little research." Tobias leans over and grabs a folder that had been sitting on the couch and hands it to Tris.

"Baby.." She sniffles as she feels her eyes well up with tears as she looks at the contents. He hand printed off information on hiring a surrogate and adoption options for the state of Illinois"

"I called Lynn and she said she and Kima can send over all the stuff from their doctor they used but if they want us to walk them to the process they can. I'm fine with either route you want to go, I just know that you not being able to carry another baby doesn't mean that we have to stop growing our family"

Tris feels overwhelmed looking at the papers, a million thoughts racing through her mind. Her eyes burn and she feels tears start to

"Hey, talk to me, what's wrong, help me understand?" Tobias begs not knowing what to do. Seeing her cry was the one thing that always broke him down.

"This isn't like the last time, I just want my body to do what it's supposed to do, birth babies. Now I'm freaking out, what if we hire a surrogate and she tries to take our baby like that movie we watched with Morris Chestnut" Tris rambles on and the tears spill down her cheeks.

Tobias takes a deep breath and cups her face.

"Breathe, Baby, breathe," he tells her. "Tris, you not carrying our child doesn't make you less of a woman. I can't lose you, I don't want to take a gamble if something were to go wrong. TJ needs you, Russey needs you, Jordan needs you, I need you baby. I just want us to be safe and we have so much love to give, I know whether we make this surrogate thing or adoption work, you and I make this parent thing work"

Tris tosses the papers to the side and wraps her arms around his neck kissing him passionately. She smiles against his lips and then pulls back to look at him.

"You're kind of amazing, do you know that?"

"No more Lifetime movies for you" he teases and she chuckles, hugging him again.

"I love you, Tris," Tobias whispers, giving her a kiss on her temple.

"I love you, so much" she breathes, pulling back to look at him.

So much had changed since they were teenagers, figuring things out, but one thing remained the same, she loved him, he was a part of her. They start kissing again and it quickly escalates with Tris grinding against his lap. Tobias lets his hands roam running his hands over her thighs and ass. When he squeezes, Tris moans in his mouth.

"I want you," Tobias mumbles against her lips.

"I want you too, right here"

He moves his hands up her shirt to massage her breasts and he's rewarded with a soft moan. Just as he's about to move to lay her down on the coach a scream comes from upstairs and they both groan in frustration.

"Daddy! There's a spider in my room! " TJ yells at the top of his lungs from the top of the stairs. This causes both twins to start crying.

Tris starts laughing and lays her head against his shoulder feeling the deep rumble in his chest as he starts to laugh too.

"Are you sure you want another kid now?" He asks her as she slides off of him.

"I'm coming TJ," Tobias yells up the stairs and then he grins at his wife when she says. "Of course, I wouldn't trade all of this for anything in the world"

He gives her another quick kiss before getting up and Tris chuckles and follows him up the stairs.
