And now, we have come to the movie Brave as per request. I own only my OCs, nothing more, nothing less.

"Aww, fuckin' hell." Magnus groaned as he woke up from what felt like a burning sensation.

His vision blurry, trying to adjust to the darkness as though all he could do was stare at the night sky. His body is stiff like he had just fallen from the sky and it feels even more true as he tries to bend his fingers. Crying out in pain, Magnus stays like that for few minutes, trying to process what had just happened.

Me and the guys were reading a book. There was wind. Lightning. All of it indoors!?

He rolled his eyes on how insane that all sounded. There was probably a power outage... and the window broke... from the wind and... uh...

Magnus figured trying to process what's happen isn't really going to do much if he's just lying face up. So gritting his teeth, he attempts to move his body once more. He feels the soft, dewy grass that he clenches so hard as if it'd act as a balance. Magnus grunts when he begins to bend his arms, pushing himself and hearing his body popping. Get up, get up! Once his arms started to push, he feels the weight of his back coming up, biting his tongue as to not make too much noise.

Now sitting straight up and his eyes no longer as blurry he takes in the view.

"Fuckin' hell..." Magnus questions softly as he sees that he's in a forest area looking so pure and green like it was untouched by modern man.

"How I-" He began to say before zipping his head around crying out, "GUYS!"

The shock of his friends not being at his side shoots up him from the ground, not even paying attention to the pain in his legs for suddenly standing. Magnus staggers away as he goes deeper and deeper into the forest yelling for his friends. They had to be around here somewhere, but where on earth could they be?

"Eli! Vern! Luke! Guys!" He frantically calls out, avoiding every branch, trough, bush, and root before finally spotting a glow in the forest! Curious, he moves closer and closer to it, slowing his pace before moving the branches out of the way.

"Fucking hell!" Magnus shouts as he spotted a cottage; an old cottage that he saw in the...

"Nope! Nuh-uh! No!" He exclaims in denial with himself as he began to pace back and forth in a self debate.

"Forget it." He concludes, slowly making his way to the Witch's cottage. "Hope this doesn't kill me."

Against all his odds, Magnus approached the isolated cabin in the woods and gently knocked on the door. Now, naturally, he was expecting there to be silence inside since, to him, the place didn't seem livable by the look of it. What happened instead is that the door flung right open just like that, catching him off guard. Taken aback at first, Magnus found himself walking inside and looking all around to find wooden carvings in many shapes and designs around every nook and cranny.

"Curious passerby, are ya, now?" spoke an elderly voice from behind him, forcing Magnus to jolt around to see a short, hunched-over geezer of a woman with a long mane of grey, curled locks and a face full of wrinkles. "Curiosity killed the cat, ya know."

"Sorry for disturbing you, ma'am." began Magnus. "But I just woke up in the middle of the forest and I just happened upon this cute hut."

"Woke up in the forest, eh? Tell me more." The old crone replied, carving away at a chunk of bark.

"Me and my buddies were just reading this...uh...old as hell book and then there was this lightning that came out of nowhere-"

"Old book? Lightning?" interrupted the old lady, cutting off her work as she perked up suddenly. "Do you not hear yourself, dearie? Yer talkin' blabber about what appears to be magic. Everyone knows magic is mere myth."

"But I, uh..." Magnus began with a stutter before noticing that the woman spoke her words while darting her eyes back and forth as if she was making sure he was the only one here like she was hiding something. Something important. Although perturbed, he decided to let it be for now. Then the old woman took notice of his clothes.

"What have you got on, lad?" She asked, pointing her knife in his direction. "Never have I seen an attire such as that before."

"That's gonna be a difficult story." Magnus answered with. "So you carve wood, I see?"

"I do." She replied. "Merely a hobby of mine. A little something to keep a lonely old lass like myself occupied out in the middle of nowhere."

Magnus understood and was about to take his leave before the old woman stopped him. She handed him the latest carving she had just made as a gift. Observing it closely, it looked like him, but wearing old medieval Scottish kilt and armor and brandishing a sword. Impressive artwork, he thought to himself as he placed it in his pocket. The old woman whispered to him that it would be his future before he took off, leaving him confused.

On his journey, he went. Traversing the long stretch of trees and grass and hills in the land, trying to search for some kind of existence who could tell him where he was. He stopped at a giant lake to rest for a moment. Coincidentally, there was an old boat sitting here which he used to cross the water. However, mid-way, he happened across something that made his eyes bulge. A giant creature arose from the water and stared down at him. A massive dinosaur-like beast with dark eyes, moist greenish-teal skin and covered in seaweed. He figured right away that this could be the legendary Loch Ness Monster. But the creature didn't look very hostile. It merely nudged its snout against him and grabbed his boat, carrying him across the lake and to the other side before disappearing underwater.

Magnus didn't know how to speak after that, but nevertheless, he needed to keep moving. After hours of tiresome hiking, Magnus dropped to the ground to rest his tired legs and gingerly picked up a stick on the ground, wondering where he was going at this rate. Suddenly, before he could even speak, an arrow zipped past his face and smacked into the tree next to him, startling him to his feet. His eyes followed to where it came from and froze to see a young woman standing there with a teal royal medieval dress, a soft and round babyish face with deep blue eyes along with a huge mane of reddish curls. She was aiming a bow and arrow at him intimidatingly, though Magnus didn't know how to react.

"Who are ya!?" The girl called out demandingly, eyes narrowed as she approaches him with her bow at the ready.

Magnus was still speechless at her hostility before snapping back to reality.

"Uh... you missed." He nervously points out, mentally face palming at his statement.

"Ah don' miss." She answered smug, before turning back to suspicion. "Now answer! Who sent ya?!"

"Nobody! I swear to god!" He answered furiously.

The girl's expression didn't leave her face. Nor was the bow lowered as she marched closer to him, almost ready to fire at the boy. Magnus knew he had to think fast or else wind up dead.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!"

The girl turned away briefly for the other threat as Magnus made a run for it! Cursing at herself for falling for such a stupid trick, the wild haired girl gave chase to him, lowering her bow to keep up.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!" Magnus swears, running as fast as he could from this crazy girl who looked undoubtably like the same red-haired girl from that story he was reading about The Bear and the Bow. That couldn't be a coincidence, could it?

His heart was still pumping after a few minutes of running before slowing down somewhat. Not wanting take a chance at to whether he left her behind or not Magnus looks around for thick, broken tree branches to use. If this chick wants to fight, then she'll get a fight. After a few minutes of searching, tossing away sticks that were either too short or too flimsy due to moss and dew still resting, he had finally found one that was suitably strong.

Comforted that he has a makeshift weapon, Magnus takes a cautious trek to the forest until he stops at a sort of flat land. Taking interest in his surroundings Magnus makes note of how the flat land has large stones standing tall and forming a circle. He felt a shiver up his spine before brushing it off. While it seemed relatively unremarkable, Magnus couldn't help but be drawn to the ring of stones. Whether it was innate curiosity or that he could touch stuff without people yelling at him, Magnus made his way to each of the rocks, his fingers following the individual cracks and feeling the bumps like he's trying to figure out their history.

In his moment of curiosity, Magnus hasn't notice the rusting of the grass as everything went black for him.

For the second time today Magnus wakes up to a blurry sight. However, instead of the outdoor night sky his vision is greeted by the redheaded teenage girl standing tall between two other figures he was trying make out. While trying to get his head all together, he suddenly notices the scratchy sensation of rope that's tied around his wrists and legs. Hmmm... so she's into that kind of thing.

His eyes now fully adjusting takes a more closer inspection of place with the stone walls and torches lit as the main source of light. Magnus, having taken in the basics of where he is now, focuses back on the girl and the others with her. The mangled-haired girl still glares at Magnus with suspicion. The woman next her, someone more regal looking in stature with an elegant and flowing green dress and long, raven black hair tied into twin braids, was looking at the boy with subtle curiosity. A large man standing on the opposite side of the dark-haired woman had red-hair similar of that to the girl and an equally wild beard and dressed like a traditional Scotsman glances at the Magnus with a certain level of playfulness before finally being the first to speak.

"Wha's with yer getup, lad?" The older man questions loudly.

"I'm tellin' ya, he's an invader. He's tryin' ta spy on us." The red-maned teenager speculated.

"You thin I'm an enemy just from my clothes?" Magnus asks indignantly.

"Or a wizard." The dark haired woman suggested while the redheaded man scoffs.

"Well, I'm not." Magnus bites, frustrated at these people. "Look, I'm not trying to cause any sort of trouble to anything. I'm just trying to find my friends. It's...hard to explain."

"Aye, is tha' all?" The man question, not taking this interrogation too seriously.

"Yeah, and...well, I don't know where I am." Magnus admitted.

"Ya don' know where ya are and yet, somehow ya lost yer friends?" Merida says in confusion.

"Again, it's a lot and you really wouldn't believe me anyway." He tells them simply.

"Well, ya can't just wander 'round like a blind fool." says the older man. "You could get yerself shot."

"I can perhaps teach him if he so desires." The dark-haired woman offers.

Magnus takes a moment as he processes the offer. The last few hours he hasn't found any of his friends, he doesn't know where he is or where the others and he does not be chased down like that again. With his limited choice, he says yes to the dark-haired woman's offer. But there was still one more thing that bothered him.

"Who are you people?"

The three look at each other in surprised, fully believing his lack of knowledge as the adult introduce themselves as the king and queen of Clan Dun'broch, Fergus and Elinor, respectively. The girl, which Magnus had figure was their daughter, was Merida.

She begrudgingly accepts her parents' deal for him and cuts loose his bonds as walks him to where he would be temporarily staying. The two were silent as they walked as Magnus takes a more casual look at Merida.

"Wha' are ya starin' at?" Merida asked him rather rudely, not talking kindly to being stared at by a stranger.

"Nothing. Just... taking this all in." Magnus tried to explain.

Merida only rolled her eyes, giving him a disbelieving "Uh-huh". Reaching his room, Merida lets out a sigh of a mix of remorse and defeat.

"Listen, I'm sorry for attacking' ya like tha'." She apologizes taking her leave. "Jus' make sure ya don' dress so weird."

That night, Magnus was invited to sit down with the royal family for supper. Hopefully it get him more acquainted with them on his first day at the castle. Merida was hoping to make it up to the boy for her actions earlier, but wished she knew how. Magnus approached the table with a giant roasted hog at the center along with other traditional Scottish delicacies and hors d'oeuvres, including the dish famously known as haggis. Sheep's stomach, not on Magnus's list of favorite meals. King Fergus sat at one end of the table, wolfing down some mutton legs while Queen Elinor sat at the other end, elegantly graceful like a true queen. Magnus had to sit with Merida and her younger brothers sat together, screwing around like average young hellions. One of the castle dogs, tried to jump onto Magnus's lap, barking wildly at the new visitor.

"Down, boy." Elinor commanded sharply, clapping her hands before the canine quietly got back down. "Sorry 'bout them."

"A friend of mine would flip his shit here with all these dogs around." remarked Magnus, brushing his clothes. "He gets real touchy about the "dog" subject."

"Uh...why is that?" asked the queen, confused by his unusual speech pattern.

"I don't know. He doesn't like to talk about it." Magnus shrugged.

"So, anyway, where are you from, lad?" Fergus asked.

"I'm from Scotland. Well, the Scotland I was born in is different from yours. It's more...advanced." explained Magnus.

"Advanced, you say? How so?" Elinor questioned almost curiously and interested.

Magnus was silent for a moment, trying to come up with a logical explanation for said question. Meanwhile, Merida was eyeballing him all the way, seemingly engrossed. Or it could be something else.

"Let's just say we've invented and become most reliant and something called technology." Magnus came out as best he could. "We don't ride horses, we drive cars. We still ride boats, but boats were I'm from have been redesigned and updated, how about that? And we came communicate long-distance from each other with phones. Speaking of which." Magnus paused for a moment and reach into his pocket, but surprisingly, his phone wasn't there. "What? Aw, damn it! Anyway, my mother was from England and my father was Scottish."

"Is that so?" Fergus raised an eyebrow. "So yer half-English."

"Perhaps." Magnus replied.

"Cars, phones, updated boats?" murmured Elinor with intrigue. "Your people must be highly...intelligent."

"That's one way of putting it." Magnus spoke.

"Who are yer friends?" asked Merida, speaking finally, but still wanting to make sure he isn't part of a gang of invaders.

"Dane, Elijah, Ishmael, Luke, Ivan, Vernon, Akhteer, Finn, Newton, Zen, Giles, Silas and Avery. Avery is the youngest out of all of us." Magnus explained. "Last time I was with them, we were in an old library where we usually hang out until we read from this...old book where Avery read an incantation. There was this blast of lightning and then, everything was black and I woke up in the forest."

"I see." Elinor replied, unsure of how to make of his story.

There was a brief pause among the table, which the royal family confused by Magnus's words, uncertain of what to think or how to say about it. Merida was secretly interested in his stories, but was good at hiding it, especially from her parents. She didn't want her parent falsely believing she was crushing on some stranger she found in the woods. After a few uncomfortable seconds, she smiled cheekily.

"Here's a blast for you." Merida replied before leaning to the side and disrupting the stiff silence with a loud fart, causing her mother to gasp with horror, but her father and brothers to cackle. Magnus was speechless beyond belief.

"Merida!" scolded Elinor sharply, appealed by her daughter's uncouth actions. "That is really unladylike."

"I couldn't help it, mother. I just slipped out." Merida laughed out loud, but Magnus was quiet with wordless disgust.

"They say better out than in." laughed Fergus.

With that, Merida broke wind again without even saying excuse me, before her brothers, Hubert, Hamish and Harris joined in on the fun. Elinor sighed in aggravation and facepalmed at her family's behavior in front of a guest.

"Terrific, I just lost my appetite." Magnus replied indifferently before getting up from his chair and leaving the table to be alone somewhere for a while and hopefully get away from the smell.

I'll stop it here for now. See you guys later.
