Twister was honestly not much of a drinker… okay, at least not compared to most people in the Johansen kingdom anyway. He never knew when he was going to be called out on a mission or something, so he had to have his wits about him most times. He couldn't go out and get shit faced unless he knew for sure he was covered.
This was usually why he avoided Scotch's place. The guys there would usually try to convince him to cut loose and start knocking them back. And even though he had enough self control to turn them down, it just got annoying after a while. Besides, sometimes he just couldn't handle all the noise, and it bugged him.
But lately he found himself coming by more and more often for some reason… some bubbly, air headed, busty reason.
"Hey Scotch, where's Misty?"
The bar owner hummed and looked up towards the prince with a smirk. "Come around to see your lady friend again huh?" he asked, amused. "She's upstairs sleeping off her shift from last night. You got yourself one little partier in that one."
Twister scowled. "She's not my lady…"
"Sure she isn't kid. That's why you keep coming back around here to check on her…"
Twister grunted and made his way upstairs. He would have said something back but… how was he supposed to respond to that? The fact was he had no real reason to keep coming around here to check on her. He had had as much as he was obliged to, and he could have just left her on her own.
But there seemed to be some bitch ass stupid voice in the back of his head that was telling him to come back and see her. He knocked on her door, loudly. "Misty, wake up. It's me." There was no answer. He knocked again. "Misty, c'mon. Wake up already."
Again, there was no answer.
He sighed and then made his way inside. Unsurprisingly, Misty was laying in her back, fast asleep. The girl slept like a rock and he was surprised at how much it took to wake her sometimes. Then again with how late she was always up it wasn't that surprising.
Twister walked over and shook her shoulder. When that didn't work he tried pulling her blanket away, which she clung to tightly to keep hold off. "God damn it Misty, would you just get up already!" he said angrily. He swung his hand, smacking her across the rear and earning a groan from her.
"Uh… can't a girl sleep in for a change…" she complained.
"No, she can't. You get paid today and you need to buy food." If he didn't come by to remind her, she'd just end up spending it on something stupid again.
She hummed. "Why? I just mooch off of Scotch. He doesn't mind… well, mostly because he doesn't know, but still," she said. Twister scowled, and then smacked her across the other cheek. "Ow! Okay, okay! Fine!" she whined.
She sat up and the moment she did Twister's eyes widened. "What the hell Misty?!" He rushed over, grabbing her blanket and quickly pulling it around her.
The air nymph looked at him confused. 'What?" she asked.
"Why are you naked?!"
"I don't know. Sometimes I sleep naked. It's my room, I can sleep however I want."
"You should have told me you weren't dressed!"
She pouted. "I don't see the big deal. It's just you, so who cares?" she asked. She then smirked at him. "Unless you're saying this is the first time you've seen a naked girl before. Is it?" she asked, letting the blanket slip dangerously low.
Twister pulled it back up. "Shut up already. Seriously, you need to be more careful about what you show off around here. You're literally surrounded by a bunch of drunk hornly guys all day. Somebody might get too shit faced and try something…"
"Do you wanna try something?" she asked deviously.
Twister scowled, his face turning red. "No…"
Misty sighed. "You're such a killjoy. Any other guy would jump at that chance," she said crossing her arms. Teasing him was both fun and annoying. His reactions were great, but he never seemed to actually take the bait.
Twister turned around, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Yeah well… I think shit like should be between people who… ya know..." He didn't want to finish since it sounded sort of lame, but that's how it was for him. He wasn't like Gale. He couldn't just shack up with any girl who was willing.
He thought at the very least it should be kinda romantic or something…
Misty tilted her head. "Huh, really? That's surprisingly innocent of you," she said before smiling. "So what you're saying is if we were dating then you'd be all over me."
Twister flinched. "I didn't say that, shut up and get dressed..."
She floated up and hugged him from behind, and his face turned a bright red as he felt something boundy push up against his back. "Let's go out then! Then we could have all types of fun, you know?" she asked giggling.
"N-no way! Now get off and go get dressed already!"
She laughed and let go of him. "Alright, alright. But I'm gonna break you down eventually," she said pinching his cheek. He lightly swatted her hand away, and she turned and grabbed some clothes before heading to the bathroom.
Twister let out a sigh, finally letting himself relax a bit. God that woman was dangerous. In one moment she was like an airheaded little brat, but then other times she flipped the switch and got all… flirty. He wasn't used to girls being flirty with him. It was usually the complete opposite.
Misty on the other hand was tossing around what he'd just said in her head. For someone who's family had such a rough reputation, Twister was surprisingly wholesome. It was sort of sweet and attractive in it's own way.
And thinking about it, she could do way worse for a boyfriend…
A/N: A little bit of Twister/Misty for you all this fine day. Misty's trying to get in them pants.
