Jennifer's Diary
June 26, 2621
We all breathed a relaxing sigh as we continued to float high above the surface of KJ147's beautiful surface. Even though I wasn't very interested at first, after escaping Zell-oah's assassination attempt, I did calm down enough later where I was able to peacefully stand by the ship's window and take in the view.
Although I have had the luxurious pleasure to go off world before that instance, I still found the sheer size of the planet in comparison to the endless black void that was space to be so mesmerizingly beautiful and even eerily artistic. And with my new found faith it made me realize just how much effort it had to take for everything we as humans knew, and still have yet to know, to come into existence, and how none of it would even exist at all without the aid of a divine Creator. Before I was a believer, I was under the belief of Stephen Hawking's theory that because of the existence of forces such as gravity, that the universe was able to create itself or some other logical scientific explanation like that. Upon coming to my new found belief however, and my continual wonder of the beauty of space itself, I came to realize just how flawed those theories of creation were. That's also what made me realize they were simply that, theories. No one knows for sure how the universe was created, and many still try to find the answers, but can only give educated guesses. (Also I just want to say I was never a believer of Charles Darwin's theories, because that's a whole can of contradicting worms.) Through my study of the Bible ,however, it gave me the only real explanation as to how such a universe with all of it's complexities could exist, and that was through the divine hand of an Almighty Creator. I know I apologize if I get to preachy about this, but that's just what I thought as I looked out that window.
It had always been an amazing experience looking out at space whenever I had the opportunity to go off world, but after becoming a "new creature" as Mosiah 27 would describe, I felt different and more spiritually uplifted. I saw just how truly difficult it would be for such a world to come into existence through scientific means alone, not to mention how long it would have taken, only to come out looking nothing like what it is. Yet through the Heavenly Father's words and hands he managed to mold everything we know and ever will know into reality all within the span of one week, excluding Sunday of course. It gave me a comfort I'd never felt before. Jon had likely known this feeling himself, only while he had gone off world before himself, he didn't have the luxury I had to admire it. All he could think about was his job, his promises, and the lives he was protecting. I wanted to share this experience with him. Although at the moment I couldn't do so.
It had been four days since his fight with the Predaliens, and since then he hadn't woken up. Ch'ris and Rachelle had told me it would take time for him to heal, but I never realized that it would take so long. Whenever I wasn't eating, sleeping, or peering through the window to admire the beauty of space, I sat by the medical pod, watching Jon rest. It made me so uneasy to see him in this comatose state, yet at the same time I felt at ease for him. This was the most peaceful I'd ever seen him look since the time he'd opened up to me. Ch'ris, and Rachelle would always try to avert my attention from him, and do something else so I wouldn't have to sit around and languish. I kindly declined their offers at times, but at others I did what they suggested so I wouldn't come off like I was being ungrateful. I knew they were just trying to help, and I appreciated everything they did to keep my mind occupied, but at the same time I just couldn't help it. I'd waited so long to see Jon again only to have Zell-oah and her stupid Predaliens take him away from me again. At least I knew he was safe and alive. I'd pray over his unconscious body asking God to make him better, but the voice that had comforted me before had suddenly left me now. I realized that after reading in Matthew chapter 17 verses 14 through 20 that I was lacking faith. The story in the verses tells of one of Jesus' miracles, where he heals a child who's a "lunatic." It's explained that Jesus' disciples had tried to heal the boy, but they lacked faith so they were unable to do anything. Like them, I was lacking faith, so I wasn't receiving anything for my patience, or lack thereof. After coming to this revelation, I put my faith to work again, and spent more time with Ch'ris and Rachelle and acted as patient as I could. There was little else I could do to demonstrate my faith then by simply putting it to the test, and letting Jon wake up when he would.
"How is he doing?" I asked Ch'ris as he preformed a checkup on Jon. He and Rachelle did those often to make sure his body healed, and to give him a calcium formula that would help repair the bone damage that Jon had sustained in the fight. His ribs had been fractured in multiple different areas, two of which had punctured his right lung. Ch'ris and Rachelle were able to fix him up though, and his condition improved as time went on. Many of his injuries weren't fully healed yet, some of which were still very severe, but they were well enough now that he wouldn't function to badly outside of the pod.
"His injuries have healed well, and he should do much better now, although I still do not know how much longer he will be like this ,Jenny." Ch'ris told me. "I wish there was more we could do." He said in an apologetic voice.
"Come on Ch'ris, none of this was your fault. You've done everything you can to help. It's your sister who's going to be sorry once I get my claws on her!" I excused him in a calm voice, before changing the subject to a much more frustrating topic.
"Indeed. She must pay for this. But that will come later. I assure you." Ch'ris promised.
"Thank you for all you've done Ch'ris." I told him before we felt the ship rock violently, causing us to fall to the floor. We ran to pilot's deck where Rachelle had been stationed when the unexpected shaking had started, which was also still happening. Ch'ris took her side and looked over the instruments and helped her realign the ship.
"What the hell is happening?!" I asked nervously as I entered the deck.
"I do not know! Something may have hit us, but I cannot see anything that could have possibly done so!" Rachelle said as she looked at the ship's radar, or whatever it was.
"Perhaps one of the charges has blown!" Ch'ris guessed. "Wait here! I shall check on it!" He said before moving to the ships electrical system. After a short moment the shaking stopped and we were back to normal.
"There, we should be better now." Rachelle said relaxed after she fixed the issue.
"There were no problems with the charges or any of the other instruments." Ch'ris said as he reentered the deck.
"Then what else could've caused that to happen?" I asked.
"I do not know. I cannot detect any breaches with our air lock, or changes with the pressure systems, nor do I see anything on the scanners." Rachelle explained flabbergasted.
Ch'ris stood next to her to examine the instruments himself. He then had some of the sliding panels pull back to give us a view of the outside of the ship, just in case there was something there that the radar hadn't picked up on. We saw nothing.
"I do not understand. How could that happen?" Ch'ris asked in confusion. Suddenly we heard Sa-v'ar begin to screech as if she was hurt. I had never heard her make noises like that before. Ch'ris and Rachelle were also disturbed by the unfamiliar noises their xenomorph made, and we went to investigate. Sa-v'ar was seizuring on the ground, while making painful elephant screeches. Ch'ris and Rachelle went to comfort and examine Sa-v'ar to see if she'd been injured earlier during the violent rocking. Upon inspection though we saw she had no visible marks on her body to suggest that. She continued to flail around like this until she got back on her feet and began to hiss antagonistically at us. "What is the matter Sa-v'ar?" Ch'ris asked reaching his hand out to rub his hand against the creature's forehead like he'd done many times before, which she normally liked. Sa-v'ar backed away and gave a profound hiss along with a snap from her inner jaw. Ch'ris moved his hand away and looked at Rachelle and at me with concern. She made no move to attack us and continued to hiss, before retreating into the ships ventilation system, which she normally spent much of her time.
We began to hear another noise. This time it was coming from the medical bay, where Jon was. "What now?!" I thought worrily as we all congregated to the small emergency room. Jon's body was convulsing, and grunting spastically like he was in pain.
"Come quickly! Hold his head down!" Ch'ris ordered as he went to check the medical pods readings. We obediently did so, opening up the pod's glass panel and firmly pressing our arms down on his restrained body. "He is normal. There is nothing abnormal with his health's checking." Ch'ris told us with a perplexed look after examining it.
"What?!" I exclaimed in a panic as I struggled with Rachelle to hold Jon's seizuring body still.
"How can that be?!" Rachelle shared my shock. It felt like the whole ship was beginning to fall apart on us.
"I do not know! Keep him still! I will only be but a moment!" Ch'ris said immediately preparing a syringe with a mixture of liquid medicines.
"Come on Jon don't do this to me. Not now." I begged as I looked down at Jon's tensing face. As Ch'ris came to administer the needle into Jon's arm a thought came to me, that made me remember Jon's condition. I immediately backed away and began to ordering Ch'ris in a panic "Wait Ch'ris! Stop!"
"What is the matter?!" He replied fretfully.
"Leave him be! We need to get out of this room and seal it right now!" I told him.
"Why?! He is dying!" Rachelle shouted questioningly as she fought with Jon's body.
"Just do it! I don't have time to explain!" I ejected hysterically. Before any of us could do anything however, Jon's body stopped thrashing and he opened his eyes.
Ch'ris and Rachelle had seen it and ignorantly continued to hover their faces over him. They were surprised at first, but their joy was very short lived. I could see Jon's eyes focus on Ch'ris and Rachelle with a defensive predatory stare.
"Kjon!" Ch'ris exclaimed as he noticed he was conscious. Jon saw the syringe in Ch'ris' hand and immediately gave a violent reaction, before thrashing around again.
"Kjon! What is it?! What is wrong?!" Rachelle queried trying to be as comforting to him as she could be. She was still fighting to restrain him, which wasn't helping. They didn't know Jon was having an episode of PTSD, and that he had no idea of what was going on around him, and was purely acting out of instinctive defense.
"What is going on ,Jenny?! What is happening to him?!" Ch'ris bellowed as he helped his mate hold Jon down. I was unable to answer or do anything to help, as Jon ripped his right arm free from the straps that helped hold him down, and grabbed Ch'ris by the face. Jon threw him off before turning his attention towards Rachelle who was still trying in vain to calm him down. He grabbed her by the throat and shoved her back, causing her to trip over some medical equipment as she was forced away. That gave Jon the time to claw his way out of his restraints. Once he was out he gave a defensive roar at Ch'ris who had gotten back up to restrain him. "What are you doing ,Kjon?!" Ch'ris asked his friend with his arms mistakenly outstretched. Jon replied by back handing him across the face.
"Kjon! Stop this!" Rachelle roared as she attacked him wrapping her arms under his shoulders and pressed up against the back of his head. Jon continued his aggressive display as he tried to push Rachelle off. "Why are you doing this ,Kjon?! It is us! Don't you remember?!" She tried to call to him, but he didn't recognize her, and forcefully pushed himself backwards, ramming Rachelle against the wall. She let go of him allowing Jon to grab her by the arm and throw her to the other side of the room. He bellowed loudly at her, before Ch'ris foolishly tried to pin Jon against the wall.
"Kjon! Listen to me! It is me Ch'ris! We are not trying to harm you!" Ch'ris said as he used all of his strength to keep Jon against the wall. Jon was unable to recognize his friend though and smashed his head against Ch'ris' face before picking him up by the arm and judo threw him. Jon continued beating his friend with a series of punches before he threw him out of the room and into the outer hallway. Jon roared at his friend, who he was about to continue his attack on, but Sa-v'ar came to her master's aid and jumped on Jon's shoulders.
I managed to make it to Rachelle, before she could get up and charge again. "What is going on ,Jenny?!" She asked as I stopped her advance.
"He isn't doing this deliberately! He doesn't know it's us!" I told her. Rachelle gave me a uncertain look, before we saw Jon fly back inside with Sa-v'ar on his back. "Remember the nightmares I told you he has?! He is having one right now! He doesn't know that it's us, and he thinks we are trying to attack him! His nightmare just needs to end and he'll be back to normal!"
"How can we stop it?!" Rachelle questioned.
"We can't! It stops on it's own after a certain period of time, but until then he's going to continue to be like this!" I told her as we continued to watch the fight. Sa-v'ar continued to ride Jon like a jockey, before he grabbed the xenomorph by the head and tore the creature off, slamming it to the ground. He then took Sa-v'ar by her arms and threw her at the wall. He gave the poor creature no time to recover and continued to throw the xenomorph around the room. Sa-v'ar managed to wrap her tail around his throat and choke him with it giving her the opportunity to claw at him. Ch'ris reentered the fight and tried to help his xenomorph, but Jon was able to wrench Sa-v'ar off of him and throw her at Ch'ris. He wasted no time continuing his attack, picking Ch'ris up and slamming him repeatedly into the wall. Rachelle and I couldn't hold back any longer and we grabbed onto his arms successfully managing to pull him off of Ch'ris.
"Jon! Please stop! We don't want to hurt you!" I screamed at him. He couldn't hear me and threw me off of him. Rachelle managed to put up more of a fight, but she was thrown away just the same. He followed up by grabbing her by the throat and choking her.
"Kjon... Please..." Rachelle begged him to stop, but he continued to choke her. I acted quickly and took a pole from one of the medical instruments and smacked him in the back of the head as hard as I could with it. Jon angrily turned his sights on me and dropped Rachelle. I wisely ran from Jon and managed to lead him away from Ch'ris and Rachelle. Our chase brought us to the ship's trophy room. There wasn't much inside the room beyond a few pillars and whole walls lined with Ch'ris and Rachelle's trophies that looked hauntingly down at me. There was no place for me to hide from him as he burst into the room.
"Jon, please don't do this. We aren't trying to hurt you. Please." I begged him as I pressed myself up against a trophy wall. I readied my tail in case I had to use it against him. I didn't want to, but I wouldn't hesitate if he left me no choice. "Please ,Jon don't make me do this." I continued begging. At this point he was standing over me ready to scratch me with his claws. "I love you ,Jon. I'm sorry." I told him before I shot my tail forward. Jon roared before he brought his claws down on me. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the strike. It never came. I opened my eyes and saw Jon's huge hand hang above me. I looked at where I shot my tail, worried that I'd actually hit him. Fortunately I only scratched his side. I looked at Jon who continued to stare at me menacingly before he closed his eyes and fell forward. I caught him and managed to gently lower his heavy body down. He gave a few growls before he was able to get up to his knees and open his eyes again. This time he was back to normal.
"Jenny?" He called me as he saw me kneeling next to him. I wrapped my arms and tail around him comfortingly ,as did he. Jon still had no idea what he'd just done though and began to ask, "What happened? Where is Ch'ris and Rachelle? What happened to the Pred-?" Ch'ris and Rachelle stormed into the room armed with combi-sticks and wristblades, which they pointed at him defensively.
"Kjon! Do not make us-!" Ch'ris pronounced before he saw Jon was pacified. Jon looked at them with the same confused look he gave me before the realization of what had just happened came to him.
"Oh no." He said with a guilty look on his face. He knew what he'd done, as he saw the marks and bruises on Ch'ris and Rachelle. He knew he'd given them those marks. "I hurt you guys... I am so so sorry." Jon apologized to us all. He didn't bother making any claims of innocence and bowed his eyes and head in submission.
"It's okay Jon. It's okay. You were having an episode. You're alright now. Everything's alright." I told him as I put my arms on his shoulders. I beckoned Ch'ris and Rachelle to come and help me give some support to him, which they did, although they still brought their combi-sticks just in case Jon would snap again.
"No. No, it's not. I know you know I didn't mean it, but I still did it." Jon told me as with a sorry look in his eye.
"It's because of that reason she is comforting you. Because she knows you didn't mean it. You were not in control of yourself, so she is trying to help you keep control of yourself while you are in control." Ch'ris tried to explain. We weren't able to fully understand his thinking, but we got the point. "Do not punish yourself for this behavior." It helped that Rachelle explained Jon's situation to Ch'ris before they came after him with the combi-sticks.
"But that still doesn't change the fact that I did it. What if I'd done more than hurt you guys? What would've happened then?" Jon asked with that same scared and guilty look on his face. "What happens if I do it again and I do more than hurt you guys? What then?"
"In my knowledge ,friend, what ifs never come to exist, and the situations we learn from now prepare us for the ones to come later. We understand your ailment, and we will be prepared for when it happens next time." Ch'ris said putting a hand on his friend's shoulder. Jon knelt there momentarily in bewilderment. He was still getting used to the idea of being around others who cared, rather than the Task Force pukes. "It is good to see you again ,my friend. We missed you." Ch'ris told him with a soft smile on his face. I gave Jon the same look before hugging him tightly. Both of us were able to make him smile.
"Thank you." Jon told us with deep appreciation in his voice. We all held him in a comforting hug for a moment. I felt a tear drip down on my knee as we did, but it wasn't from me. It was from Jon. He was tearing up because even though he'd caused us harm, we understood he didn't mean any of it and we were comforting him because of it. I guess it reminded him of the comfort Michelle, Rich, Taylor, and William gave him.
"Come ,my friends. Let us have dinner and rest ourselves for a while." Ch'ris suggested after the moment of endearment ended.
"I didn't hurt any of you to badly, did I?" Jon asked us as we moved to main deck, which served as the living room of the ship since it was mostly only occupied by Ch'ris and Rachelle. For all of the confusing and somewhat graphic hieroglyphics there were of Predators locked in combat adorning the walls, the room gave off a friendly atmosphere with all of it's cozy furniture, and the multicolored chandelier that cast the room in a brilliant array of lights.
"You smacked us around pretty good, but we've handled much worse before. Some bruises and marks are nothing new to us." Rachelle assured. "But you did scare us."
"Sorry." Jon apologized.
"You apologize to needlessly ,my friend. We understand you did not mean it." Ch'ris told him.
"Sorry about that." Jon said again, this time in a joking manner. Ch'ris replied to Jon's sarcasm with a lift of his eye brow, and a short smile.
"Wait here. Rachelle and I shall bring you food. You have not eaten in days so you must eat something." Ch'ris told him as he sat him in front of a low stone slab that served as a table. "We will also prepare you something to eat ,Jenny." He told me having me take a place at the slab, before they entered the open kitchen area that stood adjacent to the living room.
"Where's your xenomorph?" Jon asked curiously as he looked around the room trying to spot the 7 foot tall endoparasitoid.
"She is probably somewhere in the vents. You gave her a pretty good beating as well, so she will not be very trusting of you from now on." Rachelle explained. Jon heaved a sigh in irritation. He didn't like that he was still having to spend time on a ship with a xenomorph he'd promised not to kill. I was able to distract him momentarily by placing my hand on his. His mandibles curved in a smile before they purred a soft growl as he enveloped my hand in his.
"I love you ,Jenny." He whispered.
I was about to reply with an "I love you too," before Jon's side exploded in a shower of green blood, which caused him to roar in pain. I fell back as some of it splattered on my face, and torso. Ch'ris and Rachelle were alerted to the disturbance and opened their combi-sticks which they smartly brought with them. They couldn't believe what they saw. Sa-v'ar had driven her tail through his side. I couldn't say I didn't blame the xenomorph, for what Jon had done earlier, but Ch'ris and Rachelle were confident she only attacked in defense of herself and her masters, whenever something was attacking at the time. Other times when Sa-v'ar did show aggression she only displayed it when she was told to attack. We stood there in shock for a moment before the creature swung it's tail throwing Jon to the other side of the room. His body slammed into a heater or some other appliance which began to spurt out this yellow liquid, that also coated Jon. The xenomorph hissed antagonistically at the Yautja it had thrown, showing it's inner jaw as it did so.
"Sa-v'ar! Stop!" Ch'ris ordered as he went to control his xenomorph. The creature turned and aggressively shrieked at him. "What is the matter with you?!" Ch'ris asked perplexed by her pugnacious disobedience.
"Nothing is wrong with your pet ,brother." Came a feminine voice. Our blood froze as we recognized it. A net launcher projectile shot out and enveloped Ch'ris, pinning him to the wall beside me, before it began constricting him. Rachelle and I came to help, but were smacked away by the cloaked figure, who uncloaked herself a second after she attacked.
"Not you again!" I said fearfully as I beheld Zell-oah standing over us fully decked out in armor, and weaponry. She must have docked her ship onto ours without us noticing, which may have caused the rocking earlier. She also must be have taken control of Sa-v'ar shortly after she'd docked.
"You will not be rid of me that easily, Weyland." She sneered through her cracked mask, before turning her attention to Ch'ris, who continued to struggle. He beheld his sister, who stood over him menacingly as she pulled out her combi-stick and ran it through his side. Ch'ris gave an agonizing growl as she continued to push her spear deeper into him.
"Leave him alone!" Rachelle roared as she got up to attack, only to be tackled by Sa-v'ar. I got up to fight also, but my feet were tangled in a laser line projectile which had been shot from Zell-oah's wrist gauntlet.
Zell-oah then pulled the combi-stick out of her brother who dangled helplessly on the wall as he bleed out from the wound in his lower abdomen. "You're next!" She told him, before turning her sights on her real target. Jon gave her a pissed off glare as she targeted her plasma caster on him. I tried to use my tail and claws to saw through the line, but it proved to be just as ineffective as before. I watched painfully as Zell-oah shot at him with the plasma caster. The shot didn't do much to him, but it ignited the strange fluid that gushed out of the heater looking appliance, which engulfed it and Jon in flames. "Son-of-a-Btch!" I heard Jon's voice being replayed on Zell-oah's bio-mask which she used to taunt an insult at him as she killed him.
"NO!" I screamed as I watched Jon being killed. My sorrow quickly focused into rage, and I hacked at my binds with all of my strength, which allowed me to weaken the lines enough to slip out of them. "I'LL KILL YOU, YOU BTCH!" I cursed as I leapt at the female Yautja aggressively. Zell-oah had returned to finish her wounded brother off, but she hadn't noticed that I'd escaped. I managed to ram her to the floor.
"Very well then ,Weyland. I shall finish you off first." Zell-oah spoke as I continued my attack with a shot from my tail. The Predator took it in her gloved hand (which she was also using to control Sav'ar) and pulled me towards her. She caught me by the throat and held me to the floor as she aimed her plasma caster at me. I made another move with my tail, and this time I did not miss her. I was able to jab her in the thigh a couple of time allowing me to push her off before her caster discharged. The shot hit the wall which only smoked harmlessly before leaving a simple burn mark. I took Zell-oah's combi-stick, which she'd dropped when I rammed her, and charged forward with it, screaming mindlessly as I did so. The bad blood dodged my path, causing the combi-stick to embed itself into the wall. Zell-oah triggered her wristblade which she tried to take my head off with, but I dodged the swing, and it instead scratched the wall, before it got stuck. I countered her attack by swinging my claws down on her elbow, successfully drawing blood. She did not pay any attention to the cut, and back handed me into a hallway. I tried to tip over a shelf full of nameless displays onto my attacker, but she caught the furniture, and effortlessly pushed it aside. She went to make another slash with her bladed gauntlet but I fell backwards before the blade could dig into my skin. I threw my tail around Zell-oah's ankle, and tripped her on her back.
I then went on the offensive and tried to pounce on Zell-oah, but she caught me with her feet and threw me forward causing me to hit my face on a feathery sofa, which wasn't nearly as soft as it'd looked. Zell-oah brought out a dagger from a sheath around her ankle, and threw herself forward. She managed to catch the palm of my hand with the blade, pinning it to the floor. I screamed as I felt the blade sink deep into my hand. She discarded the blade, and we struggled for a moment, before she grabbed my other arm and pinned it down. She released her gauntlet's singular blade and was about to stab me in the chest, but I managed to get my tail around her elbow, before she could bring the blade down on me. I also was able to get my feet underneath her abdomen and scratch her exposed stomach with my toe claws. Zell-oah gave a pained howl, allowing me to have the chance to remove the dagger from my hand, before she picked me up and threw me away. She took hold of her combi-stick that was still inside the wall beside her and threw it at me. I leapt onto the wall as I dodged the telescoping spear's path, and began to move across the walls of the room with amazing speed and grace.
Zell-oah hissed as she saw this and tried to lock onto me with her plasma caster, but all of her shots missed. Zell-oah gave a irate growl, before doing something a little unexpected. It turns out Predators claws are tougher than they look since hers managed to dig into the stone walls, allowing her to climb towards me. She didn't have my speed and agility though, so I retreated a short distance before I swatted and scratched at her with my tail. My blows scratched her armor harmlessly, making that tactic ineffective, and allowed her to grab hold of me and pull me towards her. She kept my tail in her gloved claw as she knew how useful it was to me, and choked me with the same hand. I grabbed at her wrist and tried to push my claws into her, but the glove protected her. I tried to kick at her, but that also did nothing to her. She continued to contract her fingers around my throat depriving me of oxygen. I felt like she was about to tear my head off which she probably would have done. I then played a dirty, but satisfying move and jabbed my claws into her exposed cleavage. She did not appreciate that, but then again, what woman would?
Zell-oah then threw me to the ground hard, before jumping off the wall and ferociously laid into me. She picked me up by the hair and slammed my face down into the hard metal floor multiple times. She then brought me up and smashed my face into the stone wall. The Yautja then tossed me into the kitchen area where I landed weakly on my back beside Rachelle, who was pinned down by Sa-v'ar. The creature stood on top of it's former master with it's tail in the poor Yautja's shoulder, who was covered in scraps and scars. I could see she didn't want to fight her precious pet, and that she'd hesitated causing her to lose. I also saw Ch'ris continue to futilely struggle against the net, but was to weak from his injury.
"Good ,Sa-v'ar." The bad blood complimented her new pet. I could see some struggle in the creature, as it had recognized it's true master and did not kill Rachelle, but it did not deny Zell-oah's rule over it, and reluctantly bowed to her.
The bad blood then turned her attention over to me and picked me up by the throat once more. I pawed and scratched at Zell-oah's bio-mask weakly, staining the facial protection red with my blood, before the enraged Yautja threw me to the center of the living room.
"You can not imagine what kind of a pestilence you and that stupid Abomination of yours have been to me!" Zell-oah bellowed angrily as I got back up to punch her. She caught my fist and returned with a powerful punch of her own, before tossing me aside. "That pathetic dishonorable should have taken my offer when he had the chance! But now you all will die!" She pronounced furiously as I struggled to my feet once again. I felt her wristblade slam into my side with devastating effect, before she tore it out and I flopped to my knees weakly. I closed my eyes, and said a quick tearful prayer, thinking that this would be the last time I'd be able to do so.
I could feel Zell-oah standing over me, and I could feel the impact of her blade before it even came down on me. To my surprise, it didn't. Our attention was arrested by the sound of Sa-v'ar shrieking in aggression. We looked over and saw that the xenomorph had moved off of Rachelle's weakened body. The creature then exploded into the room and slammed into the same heater appliance that Jon had been thrown into, which I noticed his body was missing from. Sa-v'ar then gave a abnormal sounding shriek at her attacker. It didn't sound aggressive, or defensive, but it sounded like she was scared. She immediately ran out of the room and ducked into a vent for safety. Zell-oah tried to call her back out, but the creature would not budge.
"What?" Zell-oah questioned. She was perplexed by the xenomorph's behavior. They never retreated from anything that posed any threat to them, even when they were severely outmatched. We received an answer to our confusion almost immediately as I saw Zell-oah's right arm being grabbed by an orange fist, before she was thrown away. I looked up and saw that it was Jon, who was still alive, and on fire! He didn't look like he was burning or feeling any discomfort from the flames which flickered across his body. That was what had caused Sa-v'ar to cower like she did.
"Jon?!" I called his name in surprise. He paid no attention to me, but he did drop a medicomp along with a health shard next to me, which I graciously took from him. I could see Ch'ris' and Rachelle's mandibles flare with surprise as they saw Jon's still animated body ablaze with no harm being done to him. Zell-oah was also impressed by the scene, but quickly recovered and angrily attacked the burning Yautja with her wristblade. I could see that he had his machete in his right hand, which he used to shield himself from the strike. The enraged Predator then caught her by the throat and slammed her up against the wall, and drove his machete into her side repeatedly. Zell-oah gave an agonizing roar before she stabbed him in the arm with her wristblade. The cut only served to piss him off more, and he continued his attack with a flurry of punches. Zell-oah finally managed to get him off of her by kicking him in the groin, which caused him to drop to the floor. She picked him up off of his knees and threw the flaming Yautja into the kitchen. Jon hit a water pipe which broke as his body smashed into it, showering him in water and putting out the flames. Zell-oah then removed the machete from her side before rushing towards him with it. Jon was able to ignore the heritage shattering blow, and kicked the bad blood in the knee, before grabbing her by the dreadlocks and slamming her face up against the wall repeatedly. I watched in satisfied glee as I saw Jon dish out his brutal revenge.
Zell-oah managed to catch herself and back hand Jon. She once again tried approaching him with the machete, but Rachelle intervened and tripped her over. Jon then picked her up off the ground and the two combatants grappled. I could see then that Zell-oah was taller than Jon was, yet he was managing to contest with her. Rachelle once again intervened and kicked Zell-oah hard in the back of the knee causing her to fall and drop the machete. Zell-oah tried to shoot Jon with a plasma blast, but he moved away in time as the blast tore a hole into the wall in a shower of debris. He got back up and retrieved his machete, before he laid it down on the plasma caster destroying the weapon in a spray of electricity. He brought the bladed weapon back and drove her face into his knee causing more visible damage to occur on the bio-mask, before throwing her back. Rachelle caught Zell-oah and followed his lead by slamming her into the ground, roaring as she did so. Zell-oah then imbedded her wristblade into Rachelle's thigh causing her to stop, and fall as she held the wound. This almost allowed Zell-oah to stab Rachelle in the head, but Jon caught Zell-oah just in time, and threw her away causing her to land in front of me.
I had just finished bandaging myself when that happened, I stabbed myself with the health shard Jon had given me, which immediately began working through my system, giving me the energy and strength I needed to continue the fight. I stabbed Zell-oah with my tail as she tried to get up and attack Jon, which allowed him to continue his push uncontested. He took her by the arm and slammed his fist powerfully into her masked face, which continued to chip as more damage was sustained to it. He then brought her face into his knee again, before tossing her body like a ragdoll once more. Rachelle had wisely taken that time to help her husband while Jon and I continued to tag team Zell-oah. He caught her foot just as she was trying to get up and kick him, before lifting her body over him in an arch before slamming her down on the ground. I clawed Zell-oah's face as she got back up pushing her into Jon who punched her back to me. We continued like this for a moment before she managed to swipe my leg with her wristblade, which allowed her to kick Jon in his genitals again, dropping him once more. She then went to drive her bladed gauntlet threw him, but I caught her arm as she was about to do so. Zell-oah then clocked me in the face before throwing me off of her and into a wall. Jon got back up quickly and judo threw the bad blood, between us. I took that opportunity to try and ram her, but she recovered quicker than I could attack, and caught me. She threw me against the wall and was about to drive her wristblade into me, but Jon prevented that and caught her arm. I took that moment to kick her in the side of the knee dropping her to the ground. Before she could even begin to recover, Rachelle charged forward slamming Zell-oah into the heater. Rachelle then threw her sister-in-law to Ch'ris, who smacked her in the face with his fist, sending her back to his wife.
From that point on we continued to smack the btch into each other, which was so satisfying to do as we all basically took turns punching, clawing, and slashing at her. This overwhelmed her so much that she could do nothing to recover. Finally after stabbing her threw the gut with my tail, I pushed her back to Jon, who took over from that point. He caught her by her left arm and her shoulder before bringing the limb down on his knee, causing it to visibly fracture. Zell-oah screamed as she felt the bone erupt through her ghostly white skin that was now stained green with her blood. She shrieked fearfully, and her skin turned even whiter after she saw the damage. The rest of us hissed a little as we saw the brutal injury. Jon didn't stop there and continued by running her face into the wall hard, which finally broke her bio-mask. Jon then removed Zell-oah's wristblade gauntlet and glove off of her other arm before forcing her exhausted mangled body to the ground. He then stabbed his machete into the wall before kneeling over her and began to beat her with a series of powerful punches, back hands, and claw swipes. He held nothing back, and I watched with satisfaction as he beat her exposed face in, like I told her he would.
By that time she was actually begging him for her life, which I must admit, I was happy to hear. "PLEASE STOP! PLEASE STOP! PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU ABOMINATION! DO NOT KILL ME! PLEASE!" Zell-oah cried as blood, sweat, and tears, literally ran down her broken face. Finally, Jon did stop and he slammed her head down against the metal floor. "Please! I-I beg of you ,mighty Abomination! Do not slay me! Please! Please!" I couldn't believe I was hearing this. The only thing I regretted from that whole experience was not having my bio-helmet with me to record the scene so I could watch it over again. Luckily we did manage to salvage the footage from Zell-oah's broken bio-mask as we tag teamed her.
"Please! I promise, I will give you whatever you want! Please do not slay me ,Abomination!" She whimpered. She didn't know she was in no position to grant requests. Jon thought the same thing I had and reached ominously for his machete. "No! No! Please! Please! Don't! Please!" She continued to beg as he brought the machete up slowly, before roaring wildly as he brought the blade back down. I expected him to land his strike on Zell-oah's face, but to our surprise he didn't. Ch'ris didn't seem as shocked as Rachelle and I were though. He knew Jon had extended his promise to his own kind.
Zell-oah had blocked her head with her working arm, so she didn't see the machete miss her. Once she realized the strike hadn't hit her she looked to see that it had fallen to the side a short distance away from her. She turned her eyes up and saw Jon, who gave the nastiest and most menacing grimace I'd ever seen him give. She was about to sputter something to him, but Jon wanted to hear none of it and roared in her face all while he continued to stare down at her evilly with his red eye. Once he finished bellowing in her face, he brought her face up to his, where he made her get a closer look at it as he spoke to her.
"I HOPE YOU DO NOT CONSIDER MY SPARING YOUR LIFE TO BE AN ACT OF MERCY OR FORGIVENESS BECAUSE IT IS NOT! I'M DOING THIS RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I MADE A PROMISE THAT I REGRETFULLY EXTENDED TO PREDATORS LIKE YOU! SO CONSIDER YOURSELF THE LUCKIEST YATJA IN THIS FCKING UNIVERSE RIGHT NOW THAT YOUR FACE ISN'T IN TWO! AND SERVE THIS MOMENT AS A REMINDER THE NEXT TIME YOU EITHER SEE MY FACE OR THEIR FACES AGAIN! AND GOD SO HELP YOU IF YOU EVER EVEN SO MUCH AS CALL MY MOTHER A BTCH AGAIN OR DARE TO HARM THEM EVER AGAIN, I WILL BURY YOUR DAMNED SOUL SO DEEP INTO THE GROUND, SATAN HIMSELF WON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO FIND YOU! AND THAT IS NOT A THREAT! THAT IS A PROMISE!" Jon growled his ultimatum in a demonic voice, as he continued to glare at her with wicked malice. He dropped her to the ground and was about to walk over to us, before suddenly turning around and burying his foot into her crotch, which caused her to cry more as she held it painfully. "Hurts, doesn't it?!" He said before turning to us, with a look of concern. "Are you guy's alright?" He spoke in a softer voice.
"I'm fine, but Ch'ris and Rachelle are going to need some attention." I answered him nervously. I was a little shaken by how aggressive he'd just been.
"Okay. Come on Ch'ris, Rachelle, let's get you two to the medbay." Jon said as he took his friends in his arms. "Jenny, keep an eye on her, and if she does anything that even so much as looks suspicious, don't make my mistake." He told me as he tossed his machete over to me, which I took. "Don't worry guys. I'll get you both patched up." Jon said with adrenal coursing through his system causing his mandibles to quiver. He somehow sensed Sa-v'ar exiting the vents, as she came to see if the coast was clear. He briefly turned around and scowled. "The same goes for you too, you little sht! Now get your ass back in those vents!" He roared. The xenomorph wisely obeyed him and fearfully reentered her hiding place.
I did as requested and watched over Zell-oah, who wisely did nothing but look at me with fear. After patching Ch'ris, and Rachelle up, Jon did what he could for me graciously, before literally tossing Zell-oah's broken body into the prison compartment with all the other bad bloods he and Ch'ris had captured. I could see the surprise and shock on their faces as they saw their pack leader's beaten, bloody, and bruised body be thrown in with them.
Afterwards, we helped Ch'ris and Rachelle clean up most of the mess that had been made in the fight, and helped them prepare dinner, which we all ate peacefully. It also gave us a chance to peacefully reminisce on some of our favorite moments that we'd spent together those past weeks. Ch'ris and Rachelle were also surprised by Jon's ability to withstand being lit on fire as was I. They even gave him the title of R'ka Bhu'ja (Fire Demon). I gave him the more heroic title Gkei'moun R'ka Bhu'ja, or Fire Angel. Jon appreciated the positive attention, but humbly shrugged away the nicknames. He didn't want to feel prideful. After we all retired for the evening I took that opportunity to spend some alone time with Jon so I could fix his injuries.
"How are you feeling ,Jon?" I asked him with some concern for him as I patched up the grizzly hole in his side, which was a little difficult with my one messed up hand all bandaged up. I still wasn't going to let him bleed out again, so I did the best I could.
"I hurt like hell right now." He answered truthfully with little concern for the pain he felt as I patched up the wound. I could tell was his way of saying he was fine. "How are you doing ,Jenny?" He asked me with a similar expression.
"Not much better, but I'm still alive. Thanks to you babe." I answered as I stitched the hole in his side. A smile curved on his mandibles as I called him that.
"Your Welcome ,Pyode Tarei'hsan." He addressed me as I finished patching up his wound.
After I was finished we both flopped our weary bodies on the cushioned floor. "Finally a chance to rest. Thank you God!" I said gratefully.
"Don't jinx us." Jon told me with a worried expression. "I know how it feels to tempt Him, and it is not fun."
"I'm just giving thanks ,Jon." I told him. "But in all seriousness. I cannot believe it's finally over."
"It's not fully over yet. We still have some more bad bloods on the surface we need to put down stairs yet, but as for all the hard crap. Yeah, we're done." He said as he took that moment to wrap his arm around my shoulder comfortingly. I liked that.
"But seriously are you sure you are feeling alright? I mean you were just on fire?!" I asked as I sat back up with a shocked expression.
"Yeah, and?" He asked me with his eyebrow raised carelessly.
"You were on fire!" I told him again this time slower.
"Yeah, So? I've been lit on fire before." He told me nonchalantly.
"How?!" I asked.
"I dump some gas on me and I light it. That's how. And no, it doesn't hurt at all. In fact I kind of enjoy it." He explained with a less than enthusiastic expression on his face. I just flopped back down on the cushioned floor beside him and heaved a groan. He huffed a small laugh.
"So, are you feeling better ,babe?" I asked once more.
"Jenny, I told you I'm fine. I'm not going to bleed out again." He said with an exhausted smile on his face.
"That's not what I meant ,Jon." I clarified.
"Oh. Yes, I am feeling better. To be perfectly honest I feel absolutely perfect now that you're beside me again." He told me as he moved his arm under my head and held my shoulder again tightly. "How are you feeling ,Pyode Kha'bj-te Tarei'hsan?" He asked.
"I feel the same way you do ,Jon." I answered truthfully with a smile as I nuzzled my head into his chest. We laid on the padded floor like that for a couple of moments.
"I missed you ,Jenny." Jon said to me in a soft affectionate voice.
"I missed you too ,Jon." I said with a soft smile, before I moved to rest my body over his. I continued to smile as I looked down at him. He starred back at me with the same loving expression, which I thought was just the cutest and sweetest thing to see from him.
"I love you ,Jon." I told him.
"I love you too ,Jenny." He replied as we starred each other in the eyes.
His eyes were beautiful. Like I said before I never realized how much they reflected his character. I loved the way their color looked, and how they starred back at me with loving care. It felt like we were starring into each others souls. He could tell by the soft focused look I gave him, that he knew what I wanted... what I was about to do, and he made no move to stop me as I did so. We tangled our arms around each others heads and back. I kept mine up over his shoulders, while he kept his firmly around my waist. As he comfortingly constricted my body against his, I wrapped my tail around his leg to secure myself to him. Neither of us were going to let anything separate us in our moment of romantic weakness.
He pulled my head closer to his, and the both of us closed our eyes for a warm kiss. I rested my lips softly on his exposed lipless mouth and we embraced each other as we locked together. I could feel Jon's mandibles blanket my cheeks softly and tickle me under my ears. I could feel the warmth of his long arms as they softly crushed us together. I could feel Jon's powerful chest rise and fall with a shaking nervousness, that only made me hold him tighter. I could also feel his forked tongue which I never knew he had. The sensation was rhythmic, warm, and comforting. I didn't want to let it go. I wanted to keep it with me. I wanted it to continue on for as long as we could.
Once we finished, I rested my head softly on his chest as I continued to feel it compress with that nervous shaking that made me sleepy as I felt it tremble under me. I felt Jon nuzzle his mandibles softly against my head. I enjoyed feeling him vibrate them in soft growls as he ran them through my hair. The sensational display actually managed to exhaust me to the point that I began to fall asleep on him. Jon noticing my weary body as it began to fall into peaceful slumber, gently threw a blanket over us, before rubbing his mandibles on my head one last time. I felt sleep takes it's grasp over my exhausted body.
I remember hearing Jon whisper, "Good night ,my sweet Pyode Tarei'hsan," before I fell unconscious.
"Good night ,my Fire Angel."
Alright finished with another chapter. So I had some trouble at the start of the chapter since I didn't know how I would properly get the characters to interact with each other, and that kind of bled out onto some of the dialogue, and some of the starting action. As I continued to write though, things got a little better, especially with the showdown against Zell-oah, Jon's ultimatum, and Jon and Jenny's intimate moment at the end. Hopefully my editing will have made everything better. And I just want to clarify this, no they did not have sex. Also if you're wondering why their is a parenthesis in the title's chapter, this is an alternate title for it. I originally planned on having Jon take on Zell-oah alone, but I figured I'd give Jenny some of the starting action since I've barely included her in any of the action sequences thus far, and I want to make her feel independent. It also allowed me to give Jon a kick ass entrance as he was on fire. I also decided to include Ch'ris and Rachelle in the fight for the same reason I included Jenny, and it also allowed for all four characters to get pay back on Zell-oah as they ganged up on her. Also, Thank you once again NeverNeverGirl for the encouraging comments. As always they keep me motivated on getting this story finished, and even though it is far from done, I am really really close to getting to the half way point. Also just as a heads up, I am going to be making some questionable (and probably stupid) decisions later on that may affect a few things. I won't go into detail about it because I don't want to spoil anything, but things will continue to get interesting as I go along with the story. I hope you guys continue to enjoy, especially you NeverNeverGirl :) (thank you) and I shall be ready with the next chapter as soon as possible.
