Chapter 7: Interesting Developments

I walk into the kitchen as soon as I'm done showing Scarlet Witch, who's human name is Wanda, and Stone Breaker to our room. Ma walks in and I begin cooking something. After I get done cooking I sit down at the table and Raine sits across from me and says, "Hello there, mo lauchain."

"Rach air falbh neach-brathaidh." I sneer at her, basically telling her 'go away traitor'.

She blinks a few times before asking, "You aren't angry with me are you Teine Laoch?"

"Thalla 's cagainn bruis." I tell her, which basically means get lost.

"Teine Laoch." she says in a pouting tone and I glare darkly at her.

"Thalla gu Taigh na Galla." I tell her, which basically means go to hell.

She looks at me with wide eyes for a few seconds before saying, "You do know what that means, right? Because I don't think you should be saying that."

"I know what I said." I tell her blankly before I begin eating.

"Ok, your angry at me. I understand that; I left when you needed help and that was a terrible thing to do." she says while giving me a sad look, "But please give me a chance to earn your forgiveness. I see you as a sister and I didn't want to leave. I was just following orders."

I frown, considering for a minute before nodding, "You have a month." I tell her. "One month to earn my forgiveness."

"Got it." she says cheerfully.

"Great, now let me eat in peace." I tell her before I continue eating. She leaves to go hang out with Dani and I end up alone in the kitchen. After I get done eating I wash my dishes and head to the rec room to paint. When I enter it I see Raine yelling at Bobby.

"She spent nearly a week makin' that!" she yells and I frown before walking over and looking at what she's upset about. Finding a painting that I made that was broken in half with a hole punched into it and a large chunk of ice slowly melting on it, smudging the part of the painting that isn't destroyed. I look at it for a minute before calmly looking at Raine.

"It's fine." I say and she looks at me. I then look at Bobby and say, "If you touch another one of my paintings I will electrocute you so much that you spend the next several minutes writhing on the ground and while you are writhing I will go and destroy every poster you own, including the signed one."

"You wouldn't be able to get in, I lock my door when I leave my room." he tells me confidently.

"You also always leave your window open, but even if you close it from now on I know how to pick a lock. So don't mess with my paintings." I then grab a blank canvas and my usual paint set, bringing them over to the easels and starting a new painting. I paint the beautiful woman from my past life, the one who's eyes shine like gold in firelight.

"That looks amazing mo lauchain." Raine tells me and I thank her.

I paint her smiling at me, a fire to the right illuminating the piece and making her eyes shine. I spend hours making it perfect before setting it to the side to dry. I then decide to go out flying for a while before dinner time. After dinner I go to bed.

I wake up the next day and yawn before getting up and looking out the window, seeing that it's about time to get up. I hum a bit and move to wake Rogue up; I shake her arm and say, "Rogue, get up; it's almost breakfast time. You put the creamer out of my reach yesterday so you need to wake up and get it down for me."

She grumbles a bit before shoving my face away with her bare hand, I end up on my back next to Kitty's bed because I stumbled and tripped. "Morning." I look up and see Kitty peering down at me with a small smile, "Why are you on the floor?"

I sit up, growling as I look at the sleeping form of Rogue and say, "Rogue, you just pushed me away without your gloves on; and before you mumble at me again, yes it was against my skin, now get up before I throw you through the window."

She jumps up immediately, looking at me worriedly, "Are you alrigh'?"

"I felt nothing when you touched me. Now let's go get me some coffee. Though we should probably test whether or not I'm immune to your abilities first." I say as I stand.

"How are we supposed to-" I grab her hand and she looks at me with wide eyes before trying to get her hand out of mine.

"Nope. Nothing." I say with a small shrug. "Your powers have no effect on me."

"How?" she asks.

"Well, I'm not sure. We should test and see if you got any of my memories. Tell me who Toby Richard is." I tell her and she gives me a confused look.

"I don't know." she tells me.

"Ok, yeah. I'm immune." I tell her before releasing her hand and starting to walk away. "Let's go now." I say as I walk. They follow me out and we all go to the kitchen. When we enter we are greeted by the sight of Raine growling at Bobby; looking about ready to rip his throat out. "Raine, back down; if I'm not allowed to rip his throat out then neither can you." she looks at me, "What did he do?"

"He called Dani evil!" she tells me angrily.

I blink a couple times before looking at Bobby, "You got a death wish or something?" I ask before shaking my head and climbing onto the counter to grab my favorite cereal and a coffee mug, "You do realize that you said that in front of someone who can literally maul and kill you, right?"

"No one asked you." he sneers at me and Raine growls at him again as Rogue makes my coffee, she sets it next to me and I drink it before looking at Bobby.

"True, I wasn't asked. But if you sneer at me again I will ignore the No Killing Ice Brat rule." I tell him as I grab the box of coco pebbles, "I'm really not in the mood to deal with you today." I pour myself a bowl of cereal and leave the box on the counter as I climb down and grab the milk from the fridge. I pour some in my cereal before taking it to the table and starting to eat, joined by all my siblings. After I eat I go outside and fly for a while to try to relax until ma comes to the porch and calls for me, I land in front of her with a smile and say, "Hey Ma, what's up?"

"We're all going to the mall to get some new clothes for all of you." she tells me with a smile.

"Ok." I say excitedly as I rush past her. "I'll go get ready."

Time Skip; Two Hours Later

"I hate shopping." I say while glaring at the bags of clothes, "Never again if I can avoid it."

"It really wasn't that bad, Shock." Apollo says, laughing a bit as he helps Artemis put away her new clothes. I scowl before grabbing one of my bags from my bed.

"They were using us like dress-up dolls!" I exclaim in a frustrated tone as I start unpacking the bags into my closet, Stone Breaker chuckles a bit and nods in agreement as she stores her clothes. I grab another thing and grumble a bit as I put it away

"I thought it was fun." Artemis and Apollo say at the same time.

"It was torture." Me, Wanda, and Pedro all say at the same time.

"Aw, come on, don't be like that you three." Artemis says.

"It was awful and I hated every minute of it." I say.

"I second that." Wanda says.

"Third." Stone Breaker pipes up.

"I also agree." Pedro says as I finish putting my clothes away.

"I'm going to go paint." I say before walking out. I paint for a while before ma walks in and asks if she can talk to me for a bit. I nod and we sit down. Ma takes a breath before explaining how she and my father both have magic, which some of the older kids at the lab told me about, and how I also have magic, by the time the conversation ends it's around lunchtime so I head for the dining room.
