Chapter 10: Abilities

After a few minutes of waiting I begin getting a bit impatient. Luckily, before it can get too bad, the door Griphook disappeared into opens and the young goblin walks out, gesturing for us to enter the room. We head into the large office and find an old goblin is setting up eleven pieces of paper.

"Hello young humans." the goblin at the desk says in an irritated voice, which also doesn't have the growl, "Who will be going first?"

Ma looks at us before sorting us into teams of two with me ending with no teammate. After that the first two, Rogue and Raine, step forward and get told to drop seven drops of blood onto the parchment the goblin sets in front of them, then they are each handed a dagger. Within half an hour its my turn to take the test.

I step up and grab the dagger, following the instructions and dropping seven drops of blood onto the parchment. It takes a few minutes for the results to appear, once they get done and I'm told to take the, now rolled up, scroll of parchment. I take my test and say, "Thank you, Master Goblin."

I open the scroll and look at it.

Notes: Must claim goddess title before her seventeenth birthday, recommended age: 11, on august 31, no current blood siblings.

A key of rings appears in front of me and I take them after the goblin confirms that they are mine. I then look at the goblin, tilting my head and saying, "I'm sorry to ask, but do you happen to know what all speak is?"

He gives me a shocked look before speaking in a growling voice, like the one Griphook and Ripfang had, "May I see your parchment?"

I shrug a bit before handing him the test, which makes ma ask in a tone that suggests she didn't hear his question, "Why did you hand him your test?"

I give her a confused look before saying, "He asked me too, didn't you?"

I turn to look at him and am confused to see him bowing to me. He then speaks in a respectful tone as he tells me, "Yes ma'am."

"Why are you bowing?" I ask him.

"Ma'am, you are the rebirth of the goddess of torture, patron goddess of the goblins. You are the one who taught us how to be warriors." he tells me in an awed filled voice.

"Oh." I say, blinking a few times before adding, "You can get up. Can I have that back please?" I ask, gesturing at my test which he hurries to hand me before sitting back at his desk. Once he's back at his desk I ask my question again, "So...what is all speak?"

"My apologies, my lady." he says hurriedly, as if he just realized that he didn't give me an answer and is scared of upsetting me. "All speak is the ability to speak and understand any language known to beast, creature, or man including dead ones. All you need to do to use it is think of the language you wish to use and you shall speak it, I was speaking Gobbledygook when I asked to see your test."

I think about Gobbledygook and ask, "Does it work?" my voice comes out like his did before and I see ma's eyes widen a bit, "I'll take that as a yes." I mutter in English before grinning and saying in Gobbledygook, "This mean I can insult and threaten Ice Brain without him knowing what I'm saying."

Ma frowns at me before saying, "I know that look. What are you planning?"

"Nothing." I tell her before turning to the goblin and asking, "How do I claim my titles?"

"You simply say I, followed by your name, hereby claim the title of, then the title you wish to claim. After you say this if the title you claimed has any sort of ring or necklace to represent it that will appear and you must put it on. Any rings you gain will merge into the one the more you add to your fingers." he tells me and I thank him before exiting the room, test in hand.

While we wait for Griphook I turn to Rogue and Raine and calmly ask, "What does your tests say under siblings?"

"Mine says I have three, James and Jessie Lestrange, by birth and current, and Kurt Wagner, by adoption and also current." Rogue tells me happily, "I've got brothers and I know one of em'!"

"Mine says Hadrian Potter, by birth and current so I guess I have a younger brother." Raine says with a smile. "I hope I get to meet him someday."

"Both of you have already met all your siblings." I tell them, "Jekyll and Hyde were born with the names James and Jessie Lestrange and Aeolus was born with the name Hadrian Potter so I guess that makes you two our older sisters and Kurt our older brother." I then grin and turn to ma, "Ma you have three new kids. Me, Wanda, and Artemis aren't the only girls now!"

"Glad to hear it. Welcome to the family, you two." Ma says to Rogue and Raine.

"You're willin' to take us? Like, your actually adoptin' us?" Rogue asks her.

"If you want to be technical, they adopted you, but I really don't mind. I already viewed you two as my daughters anyway." ma says with a smile. My new sisters both hug ma before Griphook arrives and bows to me.

"Wow...gossip travels quickly in England." I say while tilting my head.

"Painbringer informed the king as soon as you stepped out of his office and he informed the rest of us of your return my lady." he tells me politely.

"You can stand, Griphook." I tell him and he does. "Will you please take us to our vaults?"

He nods before leading us to a cart that looks a little small for all of us. "It magically expands." he explains upon seeing my confused look. "After you, my lady."

I climb into the cart and the others climb in with me before Griphook looks expectantly at me, silently asking which vault I want to visit first, "Vault 707 please Griphook." I request and he makes the card start moving, its rather slow, as if he's trying to make sure I don't get sick and after a minute of that I frown and ask, "Can we go faster?" he grins before pulling a lever and making the cart go zooming faster down the tunnel. I laugh from the sudden adrenaline rush and lean forward, grinning as we pass what looked like a dragon. I laugh again before yelling, "This is awesome!"

The ride ends after a few minutes of loops and curves so we climb out of the cart. I happily walk over to the vault door marked 707 and look at Griphook who says, "Key please."

I hand him my ring of keys and he opens the door so I walk in and look around. All around me is piles of gold, silver, and bronze coins as well as various jewels, "Wow." I say simply before spotting a coin pouch with a gold skull and emerald eyes engraved on it. Griphook quickly explains that my father set it up. The pouch is linked to my trust vault so I can buy things at Hogsmeade, whatever that is. "Ok, thank you for explaining that Griphook. We can go to the next vault now."

Several roller coaster rides later we return to the surface and start heading for the exit. As soon as we step into the lobby every goblin in the room stands, ignoring the witches and wizards that are standing in line waiting for their money and stuff, and bow to me. I nod to them and they all return to their jobs. We exit and start our school shopping.
