Thinking back to what happened to Cream's home and the life that was lost because of the trap." Statement: when I find Eggman I will I delete him From this plain of excitence. Slowly." Omega said bluntly.
" So, how do you think he's going to make Sonic suffer?" Tails asked.
" If we use what happened today as an example." Sonic said regrettably.
" He's targeting those close to me. Friends and such." Sonic continued.
"So all of us are in danger?" Amy asked." Possibly. But most likely friends that don't stay around me on a daily basis." Sonic theorized.
" So Tangle and whisper, the Chaotix, everyone at restoration HQ." Rouge named.
"Well then who's next?" asked Sonic asked concerned." I think we should check on Tangle and whisper." Amy stated. The group of heroes looked at eachother and collectively decided to go check on them. As the group made their way to Tangles home town. Eggman had already set his attack on the Tangles village. Plan Z was Eggman's last straw. If he started running out of ideas. Every plan he thought up always had something that would further Plan Z, short for Plan Zealous.
In Tangles village, Eggman had set up a sleeper agent. A Badnik hidden as a normal civilian.
"- and that is why black coffee is better!" Tangle said to Whisper while slowly chugging said coffee. Whisper simply shock her head." False." She stated blankly while sipping Galão. The two were in a café. It was rather large in size and served several items such as muffins and cake." The two had heard the news of vanilla's unfortunate demise and where rather shaken by it. The café had calmed most of the worries, but they were still slightly worried that they might have to be involved.
" So what do we do have this? You know. Since Eggman's on the prowl again." Tangle asked. Whisper shrugged." Probably stay low for now." She said quietly, as was usual for her. As they Sat there sipping on their coffee the sound of innocents screaming for help ringing throw the streets outside." Jinxed it." Tangle said annoyed. Suddenly a table went flying throw the window behind them. Dodging out the way just in a nick of time.
As the table crashed into the café's main desk, terrifying the barista. The two heroes stand to face the threat. In front of them was one of Eggman's Badniks'. It's once organic looking face fading into a metallic silver shape. It's eyes once green fading into a black void with only red pupils filling up the large blackness that were it's eyes. Reaching for behind it grabs an abnormally large sword. As the blade slams to the Ground. Tangle and Whisper stood silent, ready to fight until it began to speak.
" Great day. Isn't it?" The Badnik asked in a oddly wistful tone." You- you can talk?" Tangle asked confused." Yes. I was gifted with the ability to speak by the great Eggman." The feminine Badnik said once again in a wistful tone." Can tell I'm not gonna like you." Whisper said silently." You don't need to. You'll be dead long before you become a true threat." The Badnik threatened. Tangle looked at Whisper worried.
" You sure we can beat her?" She asked.
" Her weapon is large. Most likely uncomfortable to move." Whisper observed.
" Her swings will take long. If stay out the way when she does. Easy target." Whisper continued.
" Alright. I attack from the front you back, okay? Tangle planned. Whisper nodded reluctantly. As the two looked back at the Badnik, who had been staring at them coldly. It looked to its blade and with great force, throw it out the now shattered entrance." You make a very good point. So let me make this interesting." The Badnik said before raising it's fists.
As Tangle ran face the Badnik head on, Whisper ran to face it from behind. The battle started as Tangle and Whisper charged at the enemy in the middle. Tables, chairs and many other café furniture were thrown around. The Badnik proved to more of challenge than they were hoping for. As they went hurdling out of the café, defeated and wounded. The Badnik once again began to speak." My first victory. And such a grand one to."
Whisper stood up and glared at the Badnik throw her mask." If you call that a victory." Whisper said ominously." Than you really haven't fought before." She continued.
The Badnik simply stared back. With no mouth it couldn't quite express how much twisted glee it would have as it made them suffer." The way a situation looks can be very deceiving. Especially to loser." The Badnik said excited.
" So let me show you that you definitely lost." The Badnik said before slowly walking towards Tangle. Despite Whispers efforts she was simply to hurt to move towards her friend. As the Badnik skip joyfully towards Tangle. All Whisper could do was crawl. Reaching out for her wisp rifle.
It was to late however as the stomped down on Tangles back at full force. As the lemur screamed. One civilian near by decided to act. Running as fast as he could he kicked the Wisp rifle towards Whisper before running off. Taking the Chance Whisper grabbed the rifle and fired it at the Badnik nocking it off Tangle. Just then Sonic and crew arrived." Lucky." The Badnik said disappointedly before deploying it's built in jet engine and rockets off.
Sonic punched the ground out of anger. Too many of his friends had been injured. Looking over at Tails he gestured towards the flying Badnik.
" Tails, we're going after it!" The hedgehog exclaimed. Nodding his head Tails and sonic dashed at full speed towards the Tails aircraft the Tornado. As the propeller thundered to life and began to take off. Sonic had time to think about all that has happened so far. Vanilla's death, Tangle being mortally wounded. What was the next? What could Eggman possibly be planning?
He wasn't sure, but whatever it was. He would try to stop at all costs.
