Chapter 17: Stealing

Locating my room is easy enough. It's right next to Wanda's and right across from Pedro's. Once I find it I head in, pull my trunk out of my pocket, unshrink it, and climb into it, going to the furnished apartment and saying, "Guys, time to go."

Trixie and Onyx fly to my shoulders and Trixie teleports us to Asgard where Onyx says, 'We will return to you in half an hour unless you call for us sooner.'

"Have a nice visit with Desmond. Tell him I said hello." I say; they nod and fly away. I smile and head to the little log cabin that me and Sif had lived in together. I investigate the window and see Sif, the warriors three, Thor, and Loki sitting around the dining room table and talking to each other. I sneak around the house and scale the wall before silently climbing into mine and Sif's bedroom.

I quietly make my way to my desk and pull the top right drawer of it open, grabbing the small journal of notes that I keep there and putting it in my bag before returning the drawer into place and walking out the bedroom door to listen to them and hope they leave soon, casting a spell to make me invisible and listening in.

"Well, if Leah has been reborn and she now remembers us then she will most likely come for her sword and potions book soon." Volstagg is saying, "But how will we be able to find her once she comes? It's not like she's going to make this easy on us."

"No, she most likely will play her games." Loki says, "However she seems to forget one thing." he then raises his voice as if speaking to me, "I can sense wherever she is when she doesn't hide her aura so long as we're in the same realm." I tense before quickly hiding my aura. I then silently creep down the stairs and hide in the corner. I see him chuckle before saying, "Nice try Leah." he stands and looks at the group, "She's upstairs." he whispers to them. "Let's go and get her, shall we?"

They all stand and go upstairs, Sif hesitating at the bottom of the stairs before following after them, I quietly move to my bookshelf and grab a few books that I feel like I need before sneaking over and grabbing my sword from where it's being kept in a case above the fireplace. I stuff all of that into my bag before going to my potions shelf and trying to ignore the sort of ditsy feeling that's creeping in my mind, which is a side effect of being a seer. Random ditsy moments that come at inconvenient times.

As I'm grabbing whatever I feel I need I hear Sif speak from behind me, "Loki, I think she successfully tricked us. There's floating things down here and I think it might be Leah under an invisibility spell."

I freeze up for a second before slowly turning to look at the stairs and finding Sif standing at the bottom of them. The others come down the stairs and I stuff whatever ingredient is in my hand into my bag before quietly making my way to the door.

I'm about to open in when the strong arm of Sif stops it from being able to open it and I feel the invisibility spell get removed. I look up at Sif, sort of dazed for a second as I say, "Uh...hi...I mean bye, Trixie, Onyx, time to go!"

Instantly my familiars appear on my shoulders and Trixie teleports us back to my trunk. I look around and spot a familiar trickster phoenix on the desk, the second one I ever made, "Hello Desmond, you're looking well."

'Hello, my lady. It is an honor to see you again.' he tells me as Trixie and Onyx fly over to him.

"The honor is mine old friend." I tell him. "I'd better head to bed. Have fun catching up." I climb out of the trunk, lock it and look around the room, finding several staff members waiting. "What in the name of Hella's gruesome tortures are you doing in my bedroom at," I check the time, "ten at night?"

"You left the school wards. We came to check on you." Dumbledore tells me.

"I had to run a quick errand for the X-Men." I say, "My letter stated that I be allowed to go on errands and missions when it is needed."

He tenses a bit before saying, "Ah, yes. Of course."

They remain where they are for the next few minutes so I sigh and ask, "Are you going to leave so I can go to bed or not?"

"Right, of course. Have a good night." Dumbledore says before they all leave. Once their gone I look at Venera.

"I'm sorry, we did our best to stop them from coming in." she says, "Unfortunately, Dumbledore is the headmaster so I don't really have the power to stop him."

"It's fine. Have a nice night." I say and she relaxes before leaving. I then lay down in my bed and close my eyes, drifting into the dream walker realm. I spend the night torturing Sigyn with nightmares and the next morning I wake feeling satisfied with my work, but also much too tired to deal with existence at the moment. I get up, get dressed, and head out.

I walk past a few of my followers who are talking to my twins and they look at me. I head for the great hall, yawning as I do. As soon as I arrive I'm approached by the red head from Diagon Alley, who all of my siblings are warning not to bother me. He storms up to me, not paying attention to what my siblings are saying and yells, "You're the reason Harry's a freak, aren't you!"

I yawn again before saying, "If you speak to me again before I have any coffee I'm going to rip your arm off and beat you with it."

"Like you could, freak show!" he snaps while shoving me a bit. "All mutants like you should go die somewhere!"

I growl but before I can do anything Professor Sprout comes up behind him and says, "Mr. Weasley, five points from Gryffindor for each person in this school that you have just insulted and detention with Mr. Filtch tomorrow night at eight."

He gives her a disbelieving look before sending a glare towards me and storming away. "Thank you for interrupting, professor." Aeolus tells her. "She gets very volatile before her morning coffee."

"I've dealt with volatile people before. You kids have yet to see Professor Snape without his morning coffee, dears." she says with a small, joking smile.

"Has Professor Snape actually ripped anyone's limbs off for saying hi to him before?" Apollo asks.

"I never did that to you!" I say to him.

He stares at me blankly and says, "I was talking about Aeolus' arms...and all those guards they had to have me heal...and Jekyll...and Hyde...and–"

"I get it." I say, interrupting him. "I have a small temper in the morning."

"You have literally beat a guy with his own arms so badly that he had to go to the ER." Apollo says and I roll my eyes a bit.

"He lived and he had been warned by all of you." I say before walking to the Slytherin table. I sit down before looking around and realizing that the nearest coffee pot is ten plates down the table. I sigh before my followers all sit around me, "Someone pass me the coffee." It takes a few moments but the coffee pot gets set next to me. I pour myself some coffee and prepare it like I like it before drinking it down and sighing, "Thank you."

We get our schedules and I eat. After I get done I stand up and am about to head out when my communicator for missions goes off. I look around and see the others aren't getting calls. I answer it and head for the exit, "Shock, are you alone?"

"I'm about to be. Give me just a moment, I'll go to an empty classroom." I say before walking out and going to the nearest empty classroom, the one that I used to use to teach Alchemy in. I then look at the communicator and say, "Yes ma?"

"Alright, I have an urgent solo mission for you. You can involve people if you feel they can be trusted but do not let your siblings get involved. One of your teachers has someone else attached to the back of his head. Like a second soul. The magical signature on this soul matched the man who murdered Aeolus' biological parents." she tells me.

I scowl and nod before asking, "You want me to find out more?"

"I want to know the possible explanations." she tells me. "What do you know about things like this? Did you ever see something like it in your last life?"

"Yeah. It could mean one of two things." I tell her. "I remember cases in my last life where a person was meant to be reborn but something went wrong in the process and only about half of that soul went through. It's very rare and the second option, though incredibly stupid, is much more likely."

"What's the other option?" Ma' asks in a concerned voice. Before I can respond someone trips through the door. I look over and frown, seeing a seventh year female Hufflepuff.
