"So what's the situation?" Sonic asked a restoration fighter. The member nodded grabbing a map of Spiral Hill and a marker he lays them on a table in front of them.

" Alright, so from the looks of it there are three combating forces." The fighter says grabbing the marker.

" There's the Zeti who're attacking from the north and have managed to take control of some of Eggman's robots." He said drawing a line that comes from the north to the centre of Spiral Hill village.

"Some of them?" Espio asked looking at the Restoration member." Yeah, somehow Eggman and that Starline guy, found a way to get most of their robots immune to the Zeti's effects." The Fighter explained." Well who else is in the battle?" Shadow asked hearing the explosions of Eggman's bombers dropping their payload out on the village." Well there's obviously Eggman who's built up a pretty sizable force of Badniks and quite a few mercenaries that are coming in from the East and being air dropped into the village." The fighter said, once again drawing a line from the direction he mentioned.

"From the west there's Starline."

" You mean that guy used to work under Eggman?" Amy asked, her Piko-Piko hammer in hand." Yeah and I'm not sure how, but he's built up an army of what call themselves Ana-warriors."

"They can speak?" Rouge was confused." Yep, it might not be as smooth as Omega or Gemerl, but they seem like they are able to generate their own speech."

"So we're dealing with Eggman, the Zeti and Starline?" Sonic confirmed.

" Yeah, but." The fighter said.

" But what?"

" There's something you should know."

" Which is?" Sonic said waiting for the fighters to reply." Okay. So in the centre of the village there's a group of hostages that were captured by Eggman's mercenaries while the Badniks were busy fighting."

" That can't be good." Tails stated his concern growing.

" It isn't, especially after some of the stuff he's done so far. And to add to that Tangle and the wolf girl are stuck in the middle of the battlefield and there's no way we can get them. At least without being killed." The soldier explained." Leave that to me. The rest of you guys try to get towards the rest of the hostages." Sonic said to the rest of the group." No, there's too much that could go wrong. we need to think over this more." Shadow said putting his hand in the table." We don't have time to think about this more! Lives are at stake!" Sonic argued." And lives will be lost if we just run into the middle of that hellscape!" Shadow argued back.

The two stared at each other aggressively.

" Fine, what did you have in mind?"

" Eggman, the Zeti and Starline are attacking north,west and east, but the fighter over here said nothing about northeast, northwest and most importantly the South are completely free. If we can make the enemy or in this case enemies think we're attacking from the south, we can trick them into creating an opening for the rest of the forces to free the hostages." Shadow planned.

As much as Sonic hated to admit it, Shadow's plan seemed solid, there was only one problem Sonic could think of." Who's going to go through being a distraction?" Sonic asked curiously while scanning the room for answers. Shadow silently looked around the room." You."he said pointing towards the fighter who's been explaining the situation to them.

" You can get out of here. This isn't a sacrifice you need to make." He said gesturing him to join the rest of his squad." With uh, all due respect. I'd like to be part of the southern force, you guys should be the ones who save the hostages." He said standing at attention.

"Are you sure?" Amy asked looking at him concerned." Hey, I'm not the one with super speed." The soldier said sarcastically." Alright, but I'm joining the southern force too. I need someone to make it look real." Amy added. The group looked at her confused." Amy that doesn't seem like a smart idea. I mean it's basically a-" Sonic paused. The group had guessed that's what it was, but didn't want to say it.

" I'll find a way, trust me." Amy said reassuringly. With reluctant sighs the group agreed. Amy was optimistic that the charge wouldn't be as bad as the others say it would be. Her friends respected her decision, but made sure to say their goodbyes in case it was the last time they saw her.

As the heroes prepared for battle, Metal and platinum were already battling the Zeti and Starline. Ripping through robots after Robot they showed no mercy to their enemy, they worked well together at least in combat, however Metal did not take a liking to Daisy. Just as he was about to finish off one of Starline's androids pawns a pot shot fired for Daisy slammed into the androids head, tearing it off and taking away the incoming satisfaction Metal would have gained from crushing it head in.

"Oops, sorry M!" She said sarcastically while ripping the limps of a Zeti controlled Badnik. Metal glared at the sadistic copy of him. Her methods of atomisation are somehow more brutal than his, her endless butt kissing of Eggman oddly infuriated him. He started beeping at her in a language only they could understand, even though she could understand him she chose to ignore it." You know better than to communicate with me. I'm not sure if you forgot, but I'm your superior. Since Eggman said that you were too reckless." Daisy said rubbing in her authority while grinding the face of another Zeti Badnik into the ground.

The two glared at each other while the chaos of the two clashing armies.

Their glares were distracted by the sounds of organic lifeforms charging towards them. With Amy leading the charge, Restoration had officially entered the battle.
