She couldn't breathe. Smothered by the large number of bodies that were Recklessly thrown onto her. Amy had mercilessly survived the charge despite being in front of everyone else. They were encircled and most were lost in battle. She wasn't sure if she was the only survivor of if there were tons more, but that wasn't important right now. Spiral Hill was filled with Eggman's mercs and Badniks and if she had any hope of regrouping with her friends she needed to get out of the village immediately.

Breaching out the top of the bodies she raised her eyes over the fabric of their clothes scanning to see if there were any of Eggman's lackeys patrolling around. Seeing no one she slowly climbed over the fallen and crept her way across the street to take cover from the unusually harsh weather. Hiding under a covered window seal she looks around again. Hearing the faint sound of talking in the distance she runs towards a truck parked 2 buildings away from her.

Even though it didn't have any cover here from the rain it was the only place she could find. Peaking over she could see two of Eggman's mercenaries walking towards the body pile. She was too far away to hear what they were saying, but she was able to see them gesture something over. Hearing a loud engine like rumbling she slowly peaked her head out more to see what it could be. The machine soon showed itself to be some kind of large construction vehicle with several cranes attached to it. Hanging from one of the cranes was Daisy. Quickly taking cover again she let out a frustrated sigh.

She had no means of defense, all the other restoration fighters were either unconscious or dead and Sonic, along with the rest of the heroes had left on the transport ships. She was alone and the only cover she had at the moment was a truck and some really heavy rain." I got myself into this situation." She said to her, entering the truck.

" Guess I'm going to have to get myself out." She said turning the truck on and moving the gear lever to reverse.

Daisy had completely zoned out of the conversation she was having with the Mercs. She didn't really care about the situation, all she wanted to do was set fire to the body of corpses that she had so neatly piled up. He thoughts were put on hold by the sound of an engine coming to life." Don't worry I'll handle it." The robot said expecting the truck to drive away. Walking towards it she was met by the truck's rear end slamming into her face. As Daisy proceeded to get rolled over Amy had heard a familiar sound pining from the truck's trunk. Looking out the pickup's back window she saw her comically large hammer lying among the wispbins.

Hoping out of the truck and climbing into the back she was flung off her feet by Daisy flinging the truck into the air. As Amy hastily reached through the air to grab trying to grab her Piko-Piko hammer. The truck came crashing down onto Daisy's fist. Grabbing the hammer just in time all she could do was brace as the truck went upwards. Smashing through the glass of the back window and soon after the windshield she went tumbling towards the beyond insane machine. Still falling she swung her hammer towards Dazzie, slamming it into the robot's head.

Flying backwards, Daisy impacted with the construction vehicle sending it tumbling back with her. Impacting with a building behind, Daisy rocketed the hedgehog quickly. Amy raised her hammer tennis racket as she charged towards the mad machine. Impacting in the middle the two clashed, trading blows with Missiles and a large hammer. Dodging lasers, rockets and fists, Amy was holding her own. She was far from winning the fight However as Daisy had hardly been affected by Amy's hammer.

Skidding back after hitting the Badnik with a powerful blow, Amy looked up to see that, to her horror, Daisy was still standing. Out of breath and losing the adrenaline that kept her fighting for so long she could really only watch as Daisy sped towards her. Preparing for the doom that was currently flying towards her. As Daisy rushed towards Amy she was swiftly and effectively intercepted by the truck she had thrown into the air not too long ago. Stopped dead in her tracks and efficiently flattened by the pickup, the crazed Robot was left motionless.

And as if that wasn't enough the soon truck combusted into explosive fire. Lighting what was left of the robot on fire. Left standing over the charred truck Amy let out a sigh of relief. The rain was still pouring and it was starting to affect her. Her one means of escape she had found so far was not on fire in front of her. Looking back she could barely see a few feet ahead of her. The rain was far more aggressive than she had previously realised and now that she had it was unbearable. Looking around she couldn't see anything. The rain had fogged everything up leaving Amy basically blind.

Blinking her eyes to wipe the rain out of them she rushes forward with one hand in front of her to feel for anything that could be useful. Eventually she ran into a wall. The rain was still beating her face so she definitely wasn't under any cover, but as she continued to walk by the wall she eventually reached a door. Searching for the handle she hears the mercenaries yelling in the distance. Finding the handle she opens it and rushes into the house. Finally opening her eyes she looks around looking for anything she could use.

Taking a second to breathe she takes in the room. It was a pretty average apartment lobby with several posters advertising their great prices. Looking to the left she saw a few clothes lying on the couch. With no options left she grabs one of the jackets and a cap and runs out of the building. Finally, with something to cover her eyes and keep herself somewhat warm for a while, she made her way down the street.

Finally after a few minutes she was able to find her own car. She luckily put the roof up before leaving it. Entering the small convetable she turns it on and drives down the street. The rain made it hard for the car to get traction, but it was stable enough for Amy to escape the village. Other than the storm she was out of danger which gave her more than enough time to think over everything, The battle Mainly. She got lucky, extremely lucky. One wrong move and she'd be lying among the others in that pile. All she could hope for now was to get Cream to safety. With Vanilla gone Cream was her responsibility and she needed to realise that now more than ever.

She felt an ache in her stomach. She was around to see that. She buried the thoughts and focused on the driving. It was hard enough to control the vehicle already. She needed to focus on saving Cream.
