Sonic and Tails had finally arrived at the crash site. With one of the transport ships burnt to a crisp. There wasn't a lot of space to do much of anything. With everyone squished into one ship things were bound to go wrong. As the Tornado lands rather harshly on the road near the ships, Tails let out a sigh of shivering relief.

The storm had died down and while it was still Raining it was not as bad as it used to be. As the engine sputtered off into slumber, Tails jumped out of the frosted cockpit and grabbed Sonic.

Struggling to carry the Hedgehog he slowly made his way towards the ship.

Luckily he wouldn't have to carry Sonic for much longer as Vector made his way towards the two." Thank goodness you found him! That's one less problem to deal with." The crocodile started grabbing Sonic.

" Let's get him inside."

Walking in through the back loading bay vector and Tails pushed their way through the cold and bickering civilians. While far from a comfortable experience it at the very least warmed the young fox up. Finally making it to the stairs the two made their way to the small medical facility.

It wasn't much, but it should be enough to keep the hedgehog from freezing to death. Lying him on one of the beds the two stand next to it to see whether or not he'd awake. He didn't, but that was expected. The small sheets of frost that gathered on his fur were slowly melting and despite the horrible condition he was in, he was still breathing. Looking away from Sonic Tails could see Shadow, Rouge, Omega and Espio making their way towards them.

Shadow looked at Sonic almost mournfully." The cold is a nasty thing." Rouge said crossing her arms.

" He's alive, but barely." Espio started looking at Tails." Well, we can't expect him to do much of anything in this condition." Shadow said before walking to the edge of the second floor balcony, looking down at the tens of civilians below." Not that he needs to. None of us can do much of anything in this weather." Rouge replied. Tails looked back at Sonic. His nose twitched before the hedgehog slowly groaned, seemingly to Life again.

" He's waking up!" Tails said piping up joyfully." Thank goodness, now he can finally tell us what happened!" Vector Said. Sonic slowly regained consciousness. Looking around he quickly puts together what happened to himself." Man, thought I was a goner for a second there." Sonic said in an unusually happy tone for the situation he was in." So, what did I miss?" He said as he jumped out of the bed. Landing on the ground it looked as if he was about to fall, but he quickly caught himself.

" You were unconscious!" Tails said confused at how Sonic was so calm after such a conventionally traumatic experience." That doesn't really answer my question, but thanks for letting me know!" Sonic said in a snarky tone. Tails couldn't help but grin at Sonic's harsh, but understandable comment. The hedgehog let out a sigh as he shifted into a more serious tone." Alright in all seriousness, today was a close call. I nearly froze to death and this situation has escalated to something far more apocalyptic than just petty jabs." Sonic explained, looking down at the civilians on the first floor.

"What do you mean?" Shadow was intrigued by the blue blur had to say.

" This storm, you know the one that I'm guessing caused these two ships to crash? It isn't natural." Sonic began.

" Not natural?" Vector asked his mind racing to figure out what Sonic was saying." I'm not sure how, but I know for certain that it's caused by Eggman. Again I don't know how, but he found a way to control the weather." Sonic explained, still lost on how Eggman was able to accomplish this.

" That's... insane!" Charmy the Bee said.

" That's impossible." Shadow retorted sceptical.

" Actually-" Tails started catching the attention of the group." Okay, I'm not a hundred percent sure about this, but-" Tails said while reaching for his tablet. Grabbing it he types a few keys and begins his explanation.

"Before G.U.N was dissolved by the governments of the world, they were working on hundreds of secret projects. From building super weapons based on some ancient demigod to testing if it's possible to revive the dead they had projects for every obscure and random situation."

The young fox explained while going through hundreds of G.U.N related files and articles. Shadow simply nodded in agreement.

" Well, one of those projects-" the fox led on before opening an article on the topic he was about to talk about.

"Here! Project: Mother-Weather." He said. Sonic picked up on this, Mother-Weather. Eggman had said those very words. It had slipped his mind, but he vividly remembers the doctor saying something about Mother-Weather." According to this article released by G.U.N, they were planning on using the Cloud Seeding Technology developed by several companies and weaponizing it for the betterment of our world's defence against outside threats." Tails started showing the other article.

"Uh-huh, that's definitely what they were going to use it for." Sonic said sarcastically." I remember the general discussing this a few times." Rouge said walking to the tablet." It barely went anywhere, luckily. However prototypes were made, one of them-" Rouge lead on." Went further than the others, it had a whole AI developed. Well sort of." Rouge said in an almost disappointed tone." I have a feeling this isn't going in a positive direction."

Charmy said it was still buzzing around the bed.

" AI is what they called it, but it was something far less... synthetic. See G.U.N didn't want to spend time on coding a hyper complex artificial intelligence to guide their weapon system, they wanted results and they wanted them as soon as possible, so they sent me to-" Rouge paused." Apprehend them as a rather odd individual. I don't remember her name exactly, but what I do remember is that she was a princess of some kingdom found near the South sea. After handing her in, I never saw her again. The project was shut down a few weeks later, Most files destroyed this article." Rouge explained.

Shadow looked at Rouge confused.

" You never told me about this!" Shadow said concerned." That's not important, not now anyway." Rouge replied pushing the question away.

" What is important right now is that the digital version of the princess probably existed. If Eggman really did steal the information and use it to create super storms, it should have a source on the ground. Something called a Seeding Farm." Tails interrupted the two Team Dark from devolving into an argument.

" If this is going on around the world how many Seeding Farms would need to be made?" Espio asked ready to act.

" According to the article-" Tails said scrolling down. He suddenly stopped, it looked as if his heart sank." 75. 75 super complexes with guns, security and knowing Eggman unhealthy weird." Tails said almost defeated.

" And even if we can find some they're all located in different continents! It'll take years to destroy them all!" Tails said his heart was sinking more and more. The heroes stood in silence, Sonic let out another sigh before walking up to Tails.

" Don't worry Tails. We'll find a way to stop this, trust me."

The group of heroes collectively agreed. Even if it took forever they were going to find a way to stop this.

The Storm War had begun.
