Chapter 22: Father

After a few moments of walking I find Odin's dream, finding that it's a murky gray color, meaning that he's having a nightmare. I enter it and stop the storm of voices yelling that my death is his fault. He looks around and spots me staring at him. He jumps forward and hugs me as he says, "Leah!"

"It's ok. Shh." I say soothingly as I hug him back. "You're ok. Your safe here." I shift the dream so we're back in the park in Bayville. Like when I made the shared dream. "Come on. Let's sit down." I say before leading him to a bench. "I just cursed my murderer. They'll confess eventually. We just have to wait for the nightmares to become too much for them."

"How long will that take?" he asks calmly.

"I estimate about four years." I tell him.

"That's a long ways away. A lot of things can happen in that time." he points out.

"They're gonna crack eventually." I tell him, "We just have to remain patient." I then shift his dream to a pleasant memory of him walking with me, Loki, and Thor; telling us stories. As he smiles down at the younger me and her brothers, I softly whisper, "It wasn't your fault."

I exit the dream and hear my alarm going off, frowning a bit before waking up and shutting it off. I then get up and head for the great hall. On the way to the great hall a guy with short brown hair and blue eyes steps in my way. He opens his mouth to say something but Wanda, who just walked up next to me, steps forward and says, "You don't want to say anything to her yet. She hasn't had any coffee."

I walk pass them and into the great hall. I pour myself a cup of coffee and move to take a drink, but get stopped by someone bumping into me. I turn to look at who it is and see the red head. "Oops, sorry, I didn't see you there freak show."

I growl before grabbing his arm and pulling. It comes off and I begin hitting him with it. As soon as I hit him to the ground with it I sit back at the Slytherin table and reach for my cup. As soon as I down the coffee someone taps my shoulder. I look back and Apollo is waiting there, "Give me his arm, I need to reattach it."

"No. He doesn't deserve it." I say.

"Shock, give me the arm." he says more sternly and I glare at him. "Now."

I huff before handing him the arm. He heals the red head and I pour myself another cup of coffee. I take a small drink of it before the guy from earlier sits across from me and someone sits next to me. I look over and see a red headed woman with green eyes. I look at the dude and ask, "You the anger management dude?"

"Yeah. I'm Clint Barton. She's Natasha Romanoff, I'm working with her too." he says while gesturing at the red head.

"I'm Shock'n'awe." I tell them. "By the way, that had nothing to do with anger. I wasn't awake and he has been warned to not mess with me before I get my coffee. That probably isn't the only time you will ever see me beat a person with their own limb."

Natasha hums a bit and I turn my head to see her studying me. She nods and says, "I like her."

I turn back to my food and eat. After breakfast I get up and start heading out, they follow me so I turn to glare at them, "Why are you following me?"

"We were told to stay with you." Natasha says. "Something about protecting the other students from your anger issues."

I sigh and say, "Whatever. I have an errand to run. If you have to follow me then do so." Trixie appears on my shoulder and I hold my hand out, giving them an expectant look. They grab my arm and I have Trixie teleport us to the Ministry of Magic's Public Records building. The guy behind the counter gapes at us as I pull my arm free and walk up to him, "Where is the file for Sirius Black?"

He heads into the back to get the file and Clint looks at me curiously and asks, "Out of curiosity, what are we here for?"

"The file of Sirius Black." I say as the guy walks back in, I take the file from him and walk over to the corner of the room. I open the file and frown at what I see. Someone else comes in and I glance up, seeing the person Augusta Longbottom had been with when I saved them. I look back at the file before walking up to the counter again. "There's something wrong with this file you handed me."

I look up at the guy and he frowns before asking, "What is it?"

"Well..." I pull out the first page of the file and say, "This is the arrest record for Sirius Black." I set it on the counter before looking back at the file. I see a black and white picture of a crazed man with shaggy black hair. I take the piece of paper that it's clipped too and say, "And this is the transfer record to Azkaban. Where is the rest of the file?"

"That's all of the file, ma'am." he says awkwardly.

"Then why isn't there any trial hours for him in it?" I snarl while setting the file on the counter.

"Well...uh..." he turns, pulling out his wand and calling, "Accio Sirius Black trial records."

When nothing happens the woman who walked in starts looking furious. I slowly turn and growl at her, "Can you fix this error, ma'am?"

"I'll get right on it." she says before turning to leave.

"I'm taking him out of Azkaban." I say and she turns to look at me.

"Only the owner of the prison or the ministry can do that." she tells me so I sigh.

"Fine, I, Leah Black, hereby claim the title of Lady Azkaban." the ring appears and I grab it. "I am taking him out of my prison now."

She goes pail before nodding and saying, "I'll get him a trial."

She leaves so I turn back to the other two and say, "We're leaving." I grab their wrists and call for Trixie, once she's on my shoulder I say, "Take us to Azkaban then head back to Hogwarts." she does and I look up at the dark castle. I walk in, the wards telling me where to go until I arrive in front of a cell with a half starved man with gaunt features and gray eyes. "Sirius Black?" he looks over at me, slowly, looking fearful. "Are you...Sirius Black?"

"Yes." he has the voice of someone who hasn't had water in two days or so. "I'm Sirius."

I hold out my hand and the skeleton key for this place appears in it. I unlock the cell door and open it, "Come on. Let's get you to Hogwarts. Madam Pomphrey can take care of you and we can get you some food and water."

"What?" he asks as I slowly enter the cell.

"Don't say much. You sound like you haven't had any water in two days and you look like you haven't had food for five." I say as I cautiously walk over to him. "I'm going to help you stand up. I'm eleven but I'm also the owner of this prison so I'm going to use my right, as owner of this place, to get you out of here and we're working on getting you a trial but for now you're coming with me."

"This is just a dream." he says with a sigh so I grab his hand and he looks at me with wide eyes.

"You aren't dreaming. Now come on." I help him up and lead him from his cell, calling Trixie and having her take the four of us to Hogwarts. When we get there he gasps, as if breathing correctly for the first time. I frown before taking him to the room of requirement, "Second thoughts. If I take you to the Hospital wing Dumbledore will make me take you back to prison."

I subtly take the wards back from Dumbledore and open the room. "What is this place?" he asks before looking at me, "Who are you?"

We enter the room and I sit him down in one of the chairs of the sitting room that appeared before handing him a glass of water that the room provides, "Sip the water. This is the Room of Requirement, created by Rowena Ravenclaw." I tell him before pulling out my communicator, "Call Storm." soon as ma picks up I smile at her, "Hey ma, I've got good news and I've got bad news. The good news is that I've located Sirius Black and Shadowsong and rescued both of them. The bad news is that Sirius was in Azkaban. I'm gonna put him on the communicator now because I have to go to the Anger Management class. Remind him to sip the water as you chat." I hand the communicator to my father and say, "Here, talk to someone you know, she'll tell you who I am. I'll be back soon."

I walk out with Clint and Natasha, leading them to an empty classroom and sitting on one of the desks, looking at the other two as Natasha asks, "Why was getting him out of there so important to you? How do you know that guy?"

I tilt my head a bit before saying, "Getting him out only became important the moment I found where he was. We went to the records building to find where he was."

"Ok, but how do you know him?" Natasha asks again.

"I don't know him personally. He's my father." I tell them simply.
