Natsu sighed deeply, slowly blinking awake. It still felt early, but a glance over to the small digital clock on the bedside table told him it was already well into the later morning.

It was nice not to have the bright morning sun fill the room so early, thanks to the darker blackout curtains they'd gotten a bit after he got back, but now it was easier to sleep the mornings away sometimes.

Natsu sighed into her hair before pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "How'd you sleep?"

"Mm, good. How 'bout you?"

"Really good," he grinned widely, running his fingers along her side as she huffed out a laugh. "Especially after getting to see you and all your beautiful self for most of the night," he murmured lowly into her hair.

Lucy shifted against him, fingers fidgeting with the material of his shirt over his chest for a moment before she tipped her chin up to look at him, light pink on her cheeks.

"Was I really?" she asked softly, flicker of insecurity in her eyes and voice.

Natsu's expression softened, reaching up with his other hand to curl some of her hair behind her ear, lingering a bit.

"You're gorgeous, Luce. Always... in every way." His heart swelled at the warm look she gave him, leaning in to press a kiss to her forehead.

Lucy pulled up a bit to hover over him after a moment, eyes seeming to trail over his features affectionately. "So are you," she smiled, thumb brushing over his jaw before dipping down to press a lingering kiss against him.

"I know you do," Lucy grinned, "just don't want you to hurt your shoulder, your back, or anything. I know you were hurting a bit the other day." Her brows drew in, Natsu catching some lingering worry in her eyes.

Natsu's expression softened. He leaned back to rest against the bed of the truck, arms wrapping around her waist to pull her close. "Thank you," he said softly, "but I feel good today, I promise… that massage and those magic fingers of yours really must've worked wonders last night," he smirked.

Lucy rolled her eyes and laughed, brushing off some dust from his shirt over his chest. "Well, I knew we'd be moving around a lot today and I wanted you to be okay, so excuse me for worrying." She pouted cutely and he couldn't help press a quick kiss to it, smiling against her lips.

"You know I always appreciate you, babe."

Lucy hummed in false agreement, a playful light in her eyes. "C'mon, you, let's head back up to help Gray finish with the boxes in the bedroom so we can finish up and head home before it gets too dark."

Natsu's grin grew at that, heart swelling at the thought as he followed her lead back up to the apartment. Home.

"Sounds good."

The rest of the day passed quickly, and they ended up only having to make two more full trips until they got everything, grabbing some take out before they headed back the last time. Which was perfect because Natsu was starving already and couldn't wait to chuck his boots off and relax.

"Thanks for your help in the new mom van," Natsu cackled at Gray beside him at the kitchen table, elbowing his arm.

Gray rolled his eyes with a grin. "Shut up. It's an SUV," he said, pushing Natsu's shoulder playfully, "drivin' around all my nieces and nephews all the time, I had to get something bigger," he sighed heavily but there was a fond look in his eyes. "I got a good deal a couple months ago, so you should be thanking me really." He narrowed his eyes at Natsu, who stuck out his tongue at him then grinned widely. "Least I know Lucy's a good friend and appreciates me," Gray smirked, finishing off the last bite of his fortune cookie. Lucy laughed, shaking her head across from them.

"Ah, my mistake. Thank you, my very kind friend. Whatever would we ever do without you."

This time, Gray and Lucy both rolled their eyes at Natsu's quip and laughed.

"Anyways," Lucy giggled, "really though, thank you, Gray. I really did appreciate all of your help today, know you had a lot going on this weekend," she said, giving Gray a grateful smile.

"No problem," he waved off, leaning back in the chair and running a hand through his hair, "was happy to help when Natsu told me you guys were finally moving in together, but don't worry, it wasn't too much… except for the hundreds of clothes," he teased.

Natsu watched soft pink dust her cheeks. "H-Hey! I may indulge a little here and there when I see something cute..." she pouted, lips quirking in a smile as they shared another laugh.

"Don't worry, Luce. Ya got all the space you want here now," Natsu grinned, giving her an affectionate look that she returned softly.

They all talked and joked for a while longer after dinner until Gray had to leave, giving them each warm hugs goodbye.

They cleaned up all the empty containers after dinner and now Lucy was draped over Natsu's chest as they laid along the couch with a random show on Netflix, comfy and warm after taking refreshing showers after their long day of moving.

Warmth swelled in his chest when he thought about the fact that Lucy was really living with him now and he would always get to wake up with her, share mornings or lazy days together, fall asleep beside her, and just be there for each other.

It was the simple things he found himself craving and he was happy they were finally going to share all of that.

Here, in the house that had felt cold and empty for so long. The house he'd thought about selling several times, tired of the memories it held, but just couldn't let it go for the same reason. The house that had quickly filled with new warm memories with the person who had brought so much good into his life. The house he couldn't picture without her anymore.

Natsu laughed softly. She was so cute when she was sleepy. "C'mon, I'll carry you."

He grinned a toothy smile, kissing her nose. "Nothin'. Just love you… and admiring the view."

Lucy huffed out a laugh, a pretty blush spreading over her cheeks. She cupped the back of his neck, pulling him closer. "I love you too," she said softly between them with a warm, affectionate smile.

Natsu closed the distance and pressed his lips against hers in a slow, lingering kiss. He breathed in deeply, swallowing her soft sound of content, and pouring everything he was feeling into the kiss, hand trailing along her waist slowly.

They broke the kiss after a few long moments, Natsu moving to pepper soft kisses all over her face. Lucy giggled brightly, the sound making his heart swell.

"C'mon, we should go clean up again," she grinned, voice a little breathless, gripping his shoulders.

"Mm, I guess you're right," he groaned with a sigh, "allow me to carry you again, princess," he smirked, pressing a last kiss to her temple before moving to stand.

Lucy yelped before she could say anything more as he scooped her up into his arms and made his way over to the bathroom, pressing more playful kisses across her face along the way, content to listen to her laugh forever.

They eventually finished up in the bathroom and changed into some fresh pajamas when they got back to the room. Natsu didn't bother with a shirt and stripped the top blanket off the bed to wash tomorrow to throw in the hamper, along with their clothes around the room.

"Do you need anything, Luce? I can go grab some snacks if you're hungry? Make some tea or something? Or I have some water up here, or-"

"Just water is fine, Natsu," Lucy laughed softly, getting settled under the covers and reaching out for him, "c'mere."

Natsu grinned, grabbing one of the extra water bottles on the small bookshelf Lucy had brought over and settled in beside her. Lucy thanked him and took several long drinks. Natsu finished it off when she handed it back to him and tossed it to the side, making Lucy roll her eyes playfully.

"So, how do you like being officially moved in?" he asked, lazy smile on his lips, wrapping an arm around her shoulders to hold her close.

Lucy sighed happily, resting her head on his shoulder and lacing their fingers together. "Mm, feels pretty perfect so far."

Natsu hummed in agreement, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "I'm really happy you're here and get to call this your home too," he murmured into her hair.

Lucy pulled up a bit to look at him, reaching up to curl a piece of his growing hair around his ear before caressing his cheek. "You'll always be my home… no matter where we are."

Her expression reflected such love, Natsu had to swallow down the lump in his throat. How did he get so lucky.

He smiled warmly, leaning in to give her a slow grateful kiss that she returned before they settled further under the covers. Natsu moved to flick off the lamp on his side, feeling Lucy curling up against his back, getting comfortable and wrapping an arm around his waist with a sigh.

She pressed a warm kiss to his skin, murmuring soft words before her breaths quickly evened out.

Natsu sighed deeply, melting into the feel of her. Warmth and love surrounded him, feeling safe and secure in a way only she could make him feel.

"Love you more," he whispered, letting sleep pull him under with her.

And Lucy's finally all moved in! Yay for more domestic goodness ahead!

I know whenever I've moved, I have to go into deep cleaning mode before and after I put things away. A good thing cause things are clean and organized, but bad cause everything *has* to be in its place and it takes me forever loll
