Chapter 24: Freeing Sirius
As soon as we appear and I'm separated from the other two I get hugged by the much too thin man we left here, he's sobbing so I just hug him for a few minutes before pulling away and asking, "Are you an animagus too? Or was it just the rat?"
"What?" he asks
"Found Peter, he was a rat, can you turn into an animal too?" I ask and he nods. "Great, go into that form and come with me. I've got a surprise for you." he shifts into his form, a grim, and we head out and go to the great hall, where everyone is gathered for lunch. I walk up to the announcement podium and call out, "Alright, everyone listen up and don't interrupt me."
"Miss. Shock–" Dumbledore says and I turn to look at him.
"What did I just say?" I ask him. "I am trying to make an announcement here, so sit down and let me talk." I turn back to the great hall, "Now then." I pull out the piece of parchment Amelia Bones gave me and clear my throat as I unroll it and say, "Certain evidence has come to light that Sirius Black is innocent."
"Surely there must be a–" Dumbledore says
"Shut up." I tell him, "I told you not to interrupt. Now then; the real culprit has been found and is awaiting justice. This is a statement of innocence. It says: From the desk of Amelia Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, let all citizens of magical Britain be informed that on Sunday the 8th of September in the year 1991, there has been a break in the case of treason against the Potters and the attack of Peter Pettigrew. It has been proven without a shadow of a doubt that the previous suspect, Sirius Orion Black of the Most Ancient and Noble house of Black, is innocent of all charges against him. The current suspect will face trial on Saturday the 14th of September in the year 1991, signed Amelia Susan Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Dowager Lady Bones of the Most Ancient and Noble house of Bones." I roll the parchment up and smile at the crowd, "Oh, by the way. I pulled him out of Azkaban earlier today. He's here."
I look at the black dog and he shifts to his human form and asks, "I'm free? Really?"
"Isn't that what I just announced?" I ask and quickly get tackled by an elated Sirius.
"Thank you." he sobs, "Thank you so much."
"Yeah." I say while patting his back. "Good, um...let me introduce you to most of my siblings, yeah? Ma adopted a lot of kids while you were in prison...and by that I mean I adopted people and some of them came with more people."
"Ok." he sobs while still hugging me.
"Kinda need you to let go of me in order to introduce you to them." he lets go and I walk over and grab Andromeda, who confirmed earlier this week that she is Apollo's blood sibling. "Siblings! Front and center!" I call as I walk to the middle of the room. "Ok so." I show him Andromeda, "This is Andromeda Malfoy, she's one of the ones that another person came with. We met her recently."
"Nice to meet you." she says to him and he shakes her hand.
"Nice to meet you too." My father says.
I point to Apollo, "This is Apollo, he's the one that Andromeda came with." he shakes Apollo's hand and they exchange greetings. I then frown and walk over to the nearest table, pouring a cup of water and bringing it over to my father, "Sip this and don't say much." I point at Artemis, "This is Artemis, we consider her Apollo's twin, we'll explain why at a different time, next to Artemis are the biological twins Jekyll and Hyde. Then another set we consider twins Aeolus and Nightshade." I gesture at each sibling as I say their name. "Jekyll and Hyde came with Rogue, Aeolus came with Reine Sinclair, also known as either Jasmine Potter or Wolfsbane," he gasps when I say her name, and I point at Wanda and Pedro, "Finally those are my magic bound twins, Wanda and Pedro Maximoff, better known as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. I am Shock'n'awe, but you can call me Shock, I have another twin named Shadowsong, but you can't meet him yet, I'll tell you why later."
"It's nice to meet you all." he tells them, "I'm Sirius Black. I guess I'm your dad."
"Yep." I say cheerfully, "Now let's go and get you mentally stable." I lead him out and take him, using Trixie, to the Mansion where ma is waiting for us. As soon as we get there he hands me my communicator and rushes up to ma. After a reunion I head back to school and walk over to Clint and Natasha and ask, "So, should we meditate before I kill people?"
"Yeah, let's go." Clint says before leading me to an empty classroom. After we meditate for a while I take them down to the kitchens and get us something to eat before going to the Slytherin dorms.
I lay on my bed and quickly fall asleep, entering the dream walker realm and looking around. After causing a few nice dreams for various people in the world I find Sif's dream, which is indicating that she's having a nightmare. I shift to my older form and take a breath before entering the dream, where I find Sif on a battlefield, struggling to get to me. I dismiss the bad dream and she pauses, looking around until she spots me.
She races over and I hug her tightly before gently saying, "You're alright, love. You're okay. I'm right here."
"You died." she says softly and I sigh a bit.
"I know, I know I did...but I'm back, and in just a few years, my murderer will reveal their identity and I will come and bring you to Hogwarts with me." I promise her soothingly. "When that happens, you can hit me for dying on you, before kissing me and then I will dance with you."
She chuckles a bit and says, "Leah...you are really bad at dancing."
"Yeah, but that doesn't stop me from doing it." I say and she laughs so I pull away. I look around before the scene shifts to form a picnic. I sit with her and smile before saying, "Now let's make this nightmare a bit better, yeah?"
"Yeah." she says and we spend the rest of the night talking to each other and eating the dream food. When my alarm rings I lean over and kiss Sif's cheek.
"I will see you another time, my love." I whisper before waking up. I get up, drink my cup of coffee, and walk out. Clint and Natasha join me as I walk to the Hospital Wing. I stop in front of the doors and say, "I need you two to stay here."
"Sure thing." Clint says before I enter the room, finding the other Gryffindors that tried to attack me have woken up. All of them tense when I enter, but I ignore them and head over to Shadowsong.
He sees all the tense Gryffindors and chuckles before looking at me and saying, "They seem almost afraid of you, sister dear."
"They are afraid of me, darling brother." I tell him as I take a seat in a chair next to his bed.
"Why?" he asks curiously, even though he knows why they're scared of me.
"Who do you think put them here?" I ask and he laughs before slowly sitting up, "Careful."
"I'm alright." he assures me and I see that he looks slightly healthier already. "The nurse lady gave me some potions that have been helping me."
"Nutrition potions." I say with a nod as the nurse walks over. I look at her, "When can he leave?"
"I was just coming to tell you that he can go." she says before holding a case out to me, "He needs to take one of the blue ones with every meal and one of the red ones at dinner. Mix them into a drink, it will help with the taste."
I stand and take the case before bowing to her and saying, "Thank you Madam Pomphrey. We will take our leave now." I then smile at Shadowsong and ask, "You ready to see the others? Minus our father, he's off gaining a bit of mental stability."
He chuckles and stands before looking down at the hospital gown he's wearing. He looks up at me and ask, "Can I get a change of clothes first? Oh, I'm coming as a student, by the way."
"Sure." I say as I grab his arm to help him walk, "I'll get you an outfit, then we'll see the others, then I'll take you to get your school supplies."
"Sounds like a plan." he says as we head for the exit. I take Shadowsong down to my dorm room, give him a new set of clothes, and go wait in the hall as I mentally tell my other twins to gather our siblings outside the great hall. A few minutes pass before Shadowsong walks out and I begin helping him to the great hall, putting the potions case in my bag as we walk.
