"I'm sick of waiting…"

"Be patient."

"She should be here by now."

"Father told us to wait."

Lacerta scowled as he sat on the edge of the cliff, looking down at the forest that had been sealed off. Somewhere inside of that thing was another creature who had slipped through the boundary and into Earth's dimension. With his father being busy, it fell to them to get rid of it. But instead of doing that, they were just sitting here.

He stood up and grit his teeth. "I could have killed this thing and been on my way back home by now. Why should we have to wait for her? Just because this was auntie Kyu's old stomping ground doesn't mean we need her to-"

"This place is a special place to this country. We have to be careful about how we deal with this creature," Dorado said. "I'm sure we could handle this on our own, but let's be honest, we're not always the most subtle." Lacerta more so than himself, but he knew saying that would only irk his brother more.

"So we're just gonna wait here all day for her then? Bullshit. Why are we even here. If they could seal this thing off then they should find a way to deal with it themselves," Lacerta argued, crossing his arms. He knew his father had sent them as an act of good faith between the titans and gods, but he thought it was a waste.

The older gods, barring a handful of exceptions, were never going to be on good terms with them. Even with his aunt Nia in charge of them, there was too much bad blood between them. He also just didn't think it was their mess to clean up. So what if these things came from Tartarus? If they showed up in mewni that was one thing, but if they showed up on Earth it was an Earth problem.

Dorado sighed. "You know the gods aren't allowed to interfere in mortal affairs. Or are at least meant to do so as little as possible." Most of these creatures arrived in populated places, so it would have been awkwards if the gods just appeared and began duking it out with them for all to see.

"That's their own damn fault for making up such dumbass rules," Lars argued. If they didn't want to look after their own, it made them crappy rulers.

"Things aren't all that simple, you know." Both Lars and Dorado looked over their shoulders as a third figure appeared. "Sorry for keeping you boys waiting." The one approaching them was a fair skinned young woman, who looked around sixteen year old.

She had long snow white hair that went down to her mid back, which was black at the edges, and two fox-like ears that were black at the tips. Her eyes were a radiant mix of white and blue, and she had thin lines on her cheeks that resembled whiskers. She wore a black kimono that had white floral patterns on it.

She smiled towards the two, showing off her sharp gangs, and her nine tails sways casually about behind her. Each of the themes was also white, but back at the edges. On her back, she had some sort of large item that was wrapped in cloth and had a number of talismans on it.

[The Twelve Zodiac's Sagittarius: Hikaru]

"Well, it's about damn time," Lacerta said, narrowing his eyes at her. "What took you so long? Did you lose track of time combing all that hair?"

If Hikaru was insulted, she didn't show it at all. In fact she laughed. "Come on Lars, it's not like I'm that late. Besides, it's sealed inside isn't it? It's not as if it was going to be able to cause real damage," she said before turning towards the forest. "That being said, I guess we should deal with this so we can get back home. Otosan does get worried when I stay on Earth for too long."

Lacerta smiled as he and Dorado turned towards the forest as well. "Finally. Let's kill this thing," he said, cracking his knuckles.

Hikaru raised her hand. "Sorry, but could you let me handle this one? Obachan said this place is rather sacred to humans, and she'd like it if as little damage was done as possible. With you powers I'm afraid you'd do far too much damage," she said simply.

Lacerta narrowed his eyes. "I can beat this thing without-"

"I'm sure you could. But let's be honest. It would take far too long for you to simply punch it to death. You would lose patience and try to destroy it in one single blazing blast, and the forest would be damaged," she said. "I can take it out quickly and with as little collateral as possible."

Lacerta looked like he wanted to argue, but then thought for a moment. He hated not being a part of the action, but he had to admit that she had a point. Even if he didn't use his fire, there was bound to be some damage by the end of it. And Hikaru also knew the area better than he did.

"Whatever…" he muttered.

Dorado looked somewhat relieved. Lacerta tended to put up a lot more of an argument when it came to strategizing. He usually wasn't wrong about it either. He was just… a little too blunt. He liked to handle things himself since with a handful of exceptions he thought he was the most suited to do so.

Hikaru was obviously one of those exceptions. He actually respected her thanks to her lineage and power, so he was more inclined to listen to reason.

She nodded. "Wonderful. Now that we agree, let's get moving. Please stay nearby and make sure the creature doesn't get too far if it tries to flee. And enjoy the performance," she said, smiling before she leapt off the edge of the cliff. Her cousins quickly followed after her, mentally readying themselves for battle.

The creature growled angrily as it made its way through the forest. It had been wandering around for quite some time, but some unseen force seemed to be trapping it here. It had knocked over a few trees out of frustration, but that hadn't yielded any results, so it began wandering around once more.

Most creatures of Tartarus were hardly like any of those in any other dimension. The harsh environment had caused them to put basic needs and actions above all else. Eat, sleep, hunt, fight, kill. That was the very short cycle of thoughts and actions that flowed through it's very being, and without being able to do any of them it was growing more and more irritated.

It suddenly heard a noise nearby, and quickly whipped it's heard around towards the direction it came from. It growled angrily as Hikaru walked from behind a nearby tree, humming a rather soothing melody. It didn't take long for it to begin charging at her, but she just kept smiling and humming as she casually walked towards it.

"And let the first act begin…"

It swung it's arm down at her, but she swayed to the side and out of the way. It lashed out at her again, but with missing a beat she gracefully avoided the blow. With how fluently and smoothly she was moving, it looked like she was dancing rather than dodging. "My, it seems you're not all that mesmerized by my performance."

She spun around as it tried to tackle her, pushing her hand out and knocking it to the side. It slid against the ground as she stopped in place and posed. "Maybe you'll find act two a bit more entertaining," she said as the creature shook it's head and turned back towards her.

Lacerta scoffed as he watched the sight unfold. "I wish she'd quit dancing around and just be done with it," he muttered. He respected his cousin. In terms of strength could easily stand toe to toe with him, his brother, and Scent. But he hated how much she treated battle like a show rather than what it was. A fight.

"Let her handle it however she wants. As long as she gets the job done it doesn't really matter how she does it," Dorado said. He was a bit more understanding about his cousin's technique. It might have looked like a style of substance, but he could sense there was more to it than that. Every movement, no matter how over the top it seemed, was done with purpose.

By the time most realized they had been caught in Hikaru's rhythm, it was far too late in the fight to do anything about it. And he would be lying if he said the whole 'performance' wasn't mesmerizing in itself. Her looks hadn't been the only reasons he had earned the reputation of the most alluring in their generation.

Hikaru moved towards the creature this time, and it charged right back. It kept swinging at her, but she would just barely move out of the way, swinging her arm and striking it back in response. The graceful movements honestly didn't look like they had much force behind them. It seemed as if she was just barely brushing it's skin. But from the way the creature was reacting, it clearly felt it.

After a few more moments, the creature looked like it was growing more frenzied and agitated. It stood up on its hind legs and roared again, this time looking like it was going to slam down on her with both fists. But before it could, it seemed to freeze in place. It's body shook, and though it struggled it couldn't seem to break free from whatever was holding it.

Hikaru came to a stop, and then smiled up at it. "And now, the closing act…" She raised her hand, and suddenly the item on her back shot upwards. It spun through the air, the talismans and clothes unwrapping and flying off of it. It was a large black pole arm with while patterns on it. It had a curved blade that was as white as most of her hair.

She caught it as it fell back down, twirling it around in her hand as she spun around and approached the creature. "Thank you for being part of my show…" She swung the naginata dowards, cutting the creature clean down the middle. It's eyes went wide, and all signs of struggling stopped.

The cut down the middle of the creature sizzles, and it slowly begins to burn and crumble away into nothing. Hikaru spun the weapon again, and clothes and talismans began to return to it, sealing it up once more.

Dorado and Lars watched closely, knowing it would probably be a while before they got to see the weapon again. It was a famous weapon on mewni, but one that had been crafted on Earth.

Taiyōnokakera.

A gift bestowed by a god that Kyu had been close to, made just for Hikaru. It was said that the blade had been crafted from a fragment of the sun, and that even the slightest nick from it would release the near limitless heat into its enemy and burn them into nothing. From what little they had seen from it, there wasn't much reason to disagree.

"I still don't know why she can't just do that from the start…" Lars muttered.

Dorado hummed. "I imagine that's not a weapon one would use freely. It's rather dangerous to know," he said.

"Bet I could handle it…"

"It wasn't a challenge for Lacerta…"

As the three young titans made their way back to Mewni, they were greeted in the courtyard by the rest of the King's Crew, along with Wisteria. "Yo, how'd the mission go?" Wisteria asked, making her way towards the three. "Anything interesting happen?"

Lacerta grunted. "Waste of time. Shouldn't even have bothered going. C'mon guys, let's go see if there's anything actually-"

Dagon zipped right past his fearless leader, going right to Hikaru. He beamed up at her, looking like a puppy who had been waiting for it's owner to come home. "Hey there Hikaru! You're looking radiant as always today!" he said. Lacerta rolled his eyes, while Pavo smirked and made a whipping sound. Dagon chose to ignore them however.

Hikaru giggled and she reached up and pinched Dagon's cheek. "Aw, how kind. You must have a headful of honey to always be able spout such sweet things," she teased.

Dagon's smile grew as his face flushed, and three of his hands made their way over his chest as his hearts went into overdrive. She walked on, dragging her tail on Dagon's chin as she did. "Well, I should get going. Ojichan is bound to want to know what happened. I imagine your father also wants to be filled in too."

Dorado nodded. "Yes, he will. I'll be sure to give a thorough report. Thanks for helping us out by the way. You really helped us avoid causing too much damage."

She waved her hand. "No need to thank me. We're family. If there's ever anything you need me for, you only need to call," she assured. With that, she began to take her leave. "Oh, and there is one more thing. You really should do something about the goddess scent on your before you come by for a visit. The others may not be able to pick up on it, but you know my father will. And if he points it out with Ojichan around… well, it's going to be a very awkward time for you."

Dorado froze, a blush spreading across his cheeks. Lacerta and most of the others snickered, except Raza who gave him a sympathetic look, and Wisteria who simply narrowed her eyes. "Is her scent more noticeable on him or something…?" she asked, causing a chill to go up Dorado's spine.

"Well, I wouldn't say that. It's not any more apparent than yours is. But there's a big difference between one of us and one of them," Hikaru explained. "Anyway, just giving you a heads up. You know how Ojichan feels about the gods and goddesses."

Not that she could blame him. Barring a handful of exceptions, she couldn't say she really enjoyed their company either. But if her cousin wanted to spend his time among them, who was she to tell him otherwise?

Now she had to get home and replace the talismans around Taiyōnokakera. The blade might burn them off if they weren't replaced regularly.

A/N: Introduction to the twelve and final Zodiac, Hikaru! I don't think it should be much of a surprise who her father is. All the elegance of her grandmother, all the abilities of her grandfather, and the combined badassery of both them and her father! The mother will be revealed later down the line since... well, there's a whole heap of stuff to get through before that point.
