"You're done work now," Evelyn smiled when Teddy and Owen came for the Fourth of July.

"I am," Teddy smiled, "I'm ready."

"You made it longer than I thought," Evelyn said, "two weeks?"

"10 days now we hope," Teddy said, "she's still not head down. If she doesn't flip in the next week it'll be a c section."

"There's time," Evelyn said, "are you feeling okay?"

"Tired," Teddy replied.

"Teddy, Owen," Amanda yelled running in from the back yard.

"Hey kiddo," Owen greeted his step sister, "I was going to go on a hike tomorrow and it's summer break if you want to come?"

"Teddy," Amanda asked.

"Not a good idea now," Teddy said, "plus I have plans with Carly.

"Where are we going," Amanda asked.

"Out around the lake," Owen said , "some good climbs."

"I have to ask," Amanda said.

"Go," Evelyn said, "Owen you'll pick her up."

"Of course," Owen said, "8:00. I'll have lunch for you, be ready on the driveway with extra clothes and socks."

"Clothes," Amanda asked.

"It's a lake we might swim," Owen said.

"I'll bring a bathing suit," Amanda said, "can Molly come?"

"I thought we'd bring the dog," Owen agreed.

They spent the rest of the night hanging out with Owen's family.

That night Teddy was pacing the apartment trying to get comfortable.

"Don't go far tomorrow," Teddy said.

"Should I cancel and hike another time," Owen asked.

"Something feels weird but it's a week early," Teddy said.

"She would be fine if she came now," Owen said.

"She's not in position," Teddy said.

"They can turn her," Owen said, "we can."

Teddy clutched her belly, "whoa what's she doing?"

"What's going on," Owen asked.

"She's really moving but her kicks are higher than normal," Teddy said.

"She might be shifting," Owen said, "have you been doing the stuff that's supposed to encourage her?"

"Twice as much as we were told to," Teddy said, "but yesterday she was still sideways."

"What if you did that while she's moving," Owen suggested.

"I'm so tired Owen," Teddy complained.

"Just rock on the ball," Owen said, "I can sit with you."

"That's not what I want," Teddy pouted.

"What do you want," Owen asked.

"Sleep, brownies, a massage and oranges," Teddy pouted.

"In that order," Owen asked.

"Yes," Teddy snapped.

"Okay," Owen said, "we have the brownies and the oranges."

"Can I have both now," Teddy asked.

"I'll get them," Owen agreed.

"I don't want to be pregnant anymore," Teddy whined.

"10 days," Owen coaxed, "you've got this major only 10 days."

"I've never been this slow or out of shape," Teddy whined.

Owen came back to the living room with her brownies and orange as well as a glass of water.

"Teddy what can I do," Owen asked.

"I want her out," Teddy pouted.

"Can I massage your back while you sit on the ball," Owen asked.

"You'll think I'm disgusting," Teddy complained.

Owen realized there would be no winning with her tonight she was in a bad mood and pouting.

"Tell me what you need," Owen said.

"Her to be head down," Teddy said.

"If you keep rocking like that what if I did what Dr Deluca showed us to help her turn," Owen said.

"Her kicks are moving," Teddy said.

"Where are her feet," Owen asked.

Teddy placed her hand on where she felt their daughter's feet, "here."

"That's really moved up," Owen said, "can I?"

"It can hurt," Teddy pouted.

Owen sat behind Teddy on the couch wrapping his arms around her and gently feeling their baby. He put pressure on the baby how Carina had shown them.

"Too hard," Teddy said.

Owen backed off.

"Lean on me," Owen said, "relax, I've got you."

"Fuck," Teddy hissed, "that hurts."

"What's wrong," Owen asked.

"Feet under ribs," Teddy said.

"I'm going to try to feel for her," Owen said.

"Do you know what your doing," Teddy asked.

"As much as you do," Owen said.

He felt for the baby again.

"Head, Back, bottom," Owen said, "I think she flipped down. How do you feel."

"Huge, sore and exhausted," Teddy said, "and useless. I don't know how not to work. Owen I worked the day my dad died, I worked through 9/11 taking patients from ground 0 even though my best friend had been in the towers and was dead. I went to work the morning after my step mom died, I went to school the day after my mom died. I don't know how to be home and take time for me."

"You've got time," Owen said, "let yourself enjoy it."

"How," Teddy said, "what am I supposed to do until she comes."

"We need names," Owen said.

"Allison," Teddy said.

"For your best friend," Owen said.

"For her," Teddy said, "what do you think?"

"I like it," Owen said, "I had been thinking Megan."

"Allison Megan," Teddy suggested.

"Megan Allison," Owen tried.

"There's still a chance they could find Meg," Teddy said.

"I hope so," Owen said.

"I don't know if your mom could do Megan as a first name," Teddy said, "I love honoring your sister and making sure our daughter knows how much Meg would have loved her."

"Megan has to be part of her name," Owen said.

"I'm not arguing that," Teddy snapped, "I just don't think it's a first name."

"Allison Megan Hunt," Owen said.

"Just Hunt," Teddy asked.

"I thought so," Owen said.

"We're not married," Teddy said, "we're not even engaged. I thought both last names."

"Would you want to," Owen asked.

"One day," Teddy said.

"Me," Owen clarified.

"Yes you, you idiot," Teddy said, "who else?"

"Teddy, I love you," Owen said.

"I love you two," Teddy said, "but are you with me just for our daughter?"

"No," Owen said, "I chose you. I wanted you. Teddy, I've loved you since we met. I love you. Things have happened faster than I planned."

"Well a few beers and no protection," Teddy said.

"I know," Owen said, "do we ever tell her?"

"She'll know we weren't married," Teddy said.

"What do we tell her," Owen asked.

"We love each other," Teddy said, "we love each other, that's all she needs to know."

"I'm off tomorrow," Owen said, "what do you want to do?"

"You promised your sister and her dog a hike," Teddy said, "you pick her up at 8 so on the trail at 8:30?"

"Its about 3.5-4 hours," Owen said.

"So home around one," Teddy asked.

"Probably," Owen agreed, "then I'll shower and we can do something. You see Carly and Cianna at 9?"

"Probably for a couple hours," Teddy said, "so I'll be ready to go by 1:30?"

"Sounds like a plan," Owen said, "is it okay if I hike? I'll have my phone."

"I doubt I'll go into labour tomorrow morning and if I feel off in the morning I'll tell you," Teddy said, "Amanda needs the time with us. She's been doing better the last couple months. Since you've been home. I think she looks up to you."

"Amanda," Owen said, "she likes you better."

"She looks up to her big brother," Teddy said, "she won't say it but she needs her big brother. She needs you and your mom. She can't say it, she doesn't know how. I don't know if she even realizes that's what she needs or wants so she asks to hang out with us. She asks me to pick her up from school or dance and take her to starbucks."

"She jumps at the chance to hike with me," Owen asked, "she asked if she could come to work with me."

"What did you say," Teddy asked.

"I told her I had to talk to the chief," Owen said, "but she's not ready for traumas. She's so innocent and young."

"She is," Teddy said, "Don and your mom have done a wonderful job with her."

"She was 7 when we met her," Owen said, "the funniest little kid. Way too smart for her age. We went skiing and she could keep up with me and Megan when she was only 7."

"I've skied with you guys and hung out at the cabin with your mom while Manda and Don skied this winter," Teddy said, "he pushes her hard. She doesn't get a break on the mountain. Every run is a chance to push herself and get better. They talk through the day and what she can work on over dinner. "

"He raced," Owen said, "he would coach me. All three of us were fair game."

"Don makes her work," Teddy said, "she's kept pretty busy."

"Mom kept us busy," Owen said, "keep you busy and there's no time to get in trouble."

"Dance, youth group, kayak club," Teddy said.

"It's all active," Owen said, "our little one what do you think?"

"Soccer," Teddy said, "definitely soccer."

"I hope so," Owen said.

"She feels like a soccer player," Teddy said.

Teddy stood up and went to sit with Owen on the couch.

"You okay," Owen asked.

"I have one melt down and you think you can coddle me," Teddy said, "I don't need to be coddled."

"No but you need to be cuddled," Owen smiled.

"Yes," Teddy said, "but in bed. And just cuddles. Don't try tonight."

"Me," Owen said, "you started it."

"I won't be tonight," Teddy said, "I just want to sleep."

"How can I help," Owen asked.

"Don't leave me alone," Teddy said, "I don't sleep when your not there."

"I'm not doing over nights until she's a bit bigger," Owen promised.

"How will we do it with nights when we both go back to work," Teddy asked.

"We'll figure it out," Owen promised, "my mom will help when we need her. There's a daycare with extended hours. I think it's 6am-8pm at the hospital. And your cardio, your office days you can make shorter and only have long days in the OR cram your scheduled surgeries into a couple days a week and do longer days then spend more time on your office days with Allison."

"Allison I like it," Teddy smiled.

"Allison," Owen smiled, "our baby girl."

"Our daughter," Teddy smiled before kissing Owen.

"I love you," Owen whispered before kissing her again.

"I love you too," Teddy smiled, letting herself melt into his arms.
