"Has anyone seen Nia?"

Cayenne looked over her shoulder and saw Astro making his way towards them. She was watching over the other members of the combat department as they sparred, as she usually did around this time of day. "Nah, she ran off with Dai Tai's sister and that boy they're always dragging around," she explained.

Astro sighed, looking annoyed. "Well, that's unfortunate…"

"You know you're gonna have to get used to them hanging around eventually right? I mean you can't play protective big brother forever right?" Micah asked, smirking.

"Firstly, yes I can. And secondly that's not why I'm looking for her. We were supposed to be sparring today," Astro explained. "I guess I can count that out though."

Cayenne raised an eyebrow. "What, you can only spar with your sister? The whole freaking combat department is here. If you wanna spar go at it," she said. Astro stared back at her, and then turned away, trying and failing to hide the smirk on his face. "The hell are you smirking about?!"

The prince waved his hand. "Sorry, it's just…"

He didn't quite know how to put this. But ever since he had started training with his father he didn't think it was such a good idea to spar with the others. Especially the ones without super strength or durability. He was getting stronger and stronger every time he trained with his father, and the risk he would slip up and hurt one of them only grew.

With Nia it was different. She was his baby sister, but he was willing to acknowledge that she was as strong, if not stronger, than himself. So he could afford not to hold back. But without her here he honestly didn't see much point in sticking around.

"Hey Astro, I'm up for a spar." Everyone looked over towards Dai Tai, who was smirking as she made her way towards them. "I could use a good workout."

Astro looked towards her a bit surprised, and then smirked right back at her. "Really? Are you sure you're up for it?" he asked. He seemed more eager than worried from the sound of his voice though.

Dai Tai shrugged. "I figure we're due for a showdown. I mean titan, god, makes sense right?" she asked, gesturing back and forth between them. Between her getting a handle on her goddess form and the lessons from Bolin, she was ready to see if it all paid off. "Unless, you know, you'd rather wait for your sister."

Astro couldn't keep the smile off of his face. "Let's go…"

"I got money on Astro."

"Kick his ass Dai Tai!"

"You're nuts. Astro has got this."

"She's a goddess."

"So?"

Everyone stood outside and watched as Astro and Dai Tai ignored them and circled around one another. Right now they were only focused on the upcoming fight. Astro was using his sword, instead deciding to fight barehanded. From what Dai Tai could tell, he didn't have a fighting stance. He looked like he was full of opening. But she knew better than to rush in carelessly.

Of course that didn't mean she wasn't going to rush in at all. She moved forward, and Astro smiled as he brought his fist back and swung as he. She ducked underneath the blow and then turned around and kicked at his side. Astro raised his arm and blocked the blow, then swung his arm.

For a moment it looked like she was about to go flying, but she flipped around and gracefully landed on her feet. When it came to brute strength, he definitely had the advantage. But she was quicker and had him beat in technique, especially when it was just hand to hand combat.

She moved in again, and Astro moved forward to meet her. When they clashed, he started swinging at her. Dai Tai began dodging each of his punches, and then managed to grab his wrist. She kicked out, knocking his foot from under him and then flipping him forward. Astro hit the ground, rolling and landing on his hands and knees. He looked back at Dai Tai who was smirking.

"Lots more to fighting than brute strength," she said, shrugging her shoulders. He might have been strong, but she knew how to use that against him. Especially with how telegraphed his moves were.

Astro chuckled and stood back up. "Yeah, but there's a lot more to it than just technique too," he said, running at her again. Dai Tai put her guard up, stepping back and dodging as he swung at her. She managed to grab his wrist, but before she could try to throw him again he yanked his arm back and pulled her towards him.

He then stuck his chest out, bumping her back and knocking her onto the floor. She slid back, blinking before she looked up at him. It seemed like he was a lot heavier than he appeared. Astro smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "Sometimes brute force does work," he said.

Dai Tai scoffed and then jumped back up to her feet. "Okay then…"

She moved in again, and the fight continued. Astro continued to swing at her, but Dai Tai managed to skillfully evade them all. She landed a few blows, and while Astro clearly felt them none of them seemed to hurt him all that much. Everyone watched as this pattern went on, wondering if Astro would finally land a solid hit, or if Dai Tai would wear him down first.

Dai Tai decided to go for a big hit, spinning around him and then lifting her leg and aiming a kick at the back of his head. Right before it managed to land however, Astro's trail sprouted out and blocked it. He smiled as he grew into his monster form. "Let's take the kid gloves off," he said.

His tail wrapped around her ankle and this whipped her to the side, and she landed and quickly rolled back up to her feet, only to see Astro already on her. She leaned back just in time to avoid his fist, and then jumped as he tried to leg sweep her with his tail. She tried to kick off his chest to get some distance, but he caught her feet and then threw her backward, moving in and getting ready to attack right as she hit the ground.

Dai Tai reacted quickly, landing on her hands, and then pushing herself back towards Astro and kicking out at him again. This time she managed to hit him, and to everyone's surprise Astro was sent flying back. She landed on her feet and smirked. Bolin showing her how to use her chi in bursts like that was handy. It was still pretty hit and miss, but it packed a punch.

Astro looked surprised, but didn't have much time to think before Dai Tai headed for him again. She went into her goddess form as she did, and went from running to floating towards him at a high speed. "Kid gloves off, right?" she asked before spinning around and throwing another kick at him.

The prince raised his arm and blocked the blow, but everyone around them felt shockwaves. Astro had to put some serious effort into holding his ground, and he felt a dull pain in his arm. But he smirked. "Not bad, for a goddess," he said.

"Oh, I'm just getting started."

Dai Tai moved back and then began spinning around, swinging her sleeves at him. Astro moved out of the way, keeping just out of range and trying to time her movement. Luckily he was a lot more agile in his monster form, and he managed to close the distance and get in close enough to throw a punch.

Dai Tai was still mid turn, so it didn't look like she was going to be able to block it, but suddenly her hair moved with lightning speed and wrapped around his wrist, stopping him. Astro looked confused, but then more hair moved up and wrapped around his other arm. With both of his arms occupied, Dai Tai took the chance to attack.

She brought her fist back and then swung, hitting him in the chest. Astro grunted in pain as Dai Tai went for another punch. But this time the young titan threw his head forward, countering her fist with a headbutt. Everybody watching winced, including Dai Tai who pulled her hand back in pain.

"Hardheaded motherfucker…" Cayenne muttered.

Astro moved his tail around, hitting her in his side. She winced, and Astro bent his knees and looked like he was about to lunge forward and headbutt her again. But then Dai Tai suddenly screamed. "Uh-oh!" Ty shouted as the others covered their ears. Astro was right in front of her, and the force of her booming yell would have sent him flying back if he wasn't still being held onto by her hair.

Dai Tai continued to scream, and Astro grit his teeth as he tried to withstand the yell. This was like Maria's Siren Screech, only much worse. He narrowed his eyes before focusing, and then charged a blast of dark magic between his horns. Dai Tai saw it coming, stopping her yell and leaning back right before he could blast her.

"Shit!"

Some of the others had to move out of the way as the blast hit the ground, and before Dai Tai could lean back up and shout again, Astro flipped forward and dropped his heel towards her head. She raised both of her hands and caught it, but his tail moved around and struck her again. Dai Tai grunted, and then pushed him back, letting his arm go and getting some distance.

"These guys are still just sparring, right?" Junji asked nervously.

Astro smirked before crouching down slightly. Being able to fight without holding back wasn't something he got to do often, and he had honestly still been a little worried he would have to pull his punches. But Dai Tai obviously could hold her own. Dai Tai on the other hand looked more focused. She felt like she was in the zone right now, like everything was just clicking. Every little experience and lesson from Bolin and Biyu were coming into play, and she wanted to see how far she could take it.

With a stomp of his foot, Astro sent a wave of ice towards the goddess, and when it got close Dai Tai let out another scream, shattering the ice into pieces. The titan moved forward, his figure hidden under the mist and cloud of ice shards. He circled around to her side, and leapt out to strike her, but she leaned back, twisting her body to avoid the blow while throwing a kick at his face.

Astro blocked it and swung right back at her, but she flew out of the way and into the air. He landed and then looked up at her, shooting a ball of dark magic from his horn. Dai Tai raised both of her hands, breathing and letting out another burst of chi as she knocked it upwards into the air.

Micah whistled. "Man… this is like watching a DB FighterZ match…"

Dai Tai flew down, spinning her body around and charging her foot with chi. Astro held his ground, summoning dark magic around his fist as he got ready to swing back. The two were about to clash, Dai Tai bringing her foot down as Astro threw an uppercut. But just before they could make contact…

A gust of wind blew by and yanked Astro backwards. The young titan was confused as he fell back onto the ground, the dark magic around his fist rotting the grass on the ground away before dissipating. Dai Tai had landed, the force of her kick making a crater in the ground. "What the…?" Nia stood behind her brother, a worried expression on her face. "Nia? When did you get back?"

"Just now," she said before looking up towards Dai Tai. "I felt you guys fighting from halfway across the city. What's going on? What happened?"

Dai Tai powered down, offering a smile to try and reassure the girl. "Nothing happened, we were just having a little spar," she explained.

"It didn't look like a spar," Nia said. "You guys were pretty intense."

Astro and Dai Tai both shared a glance. They had been really getting into the fight, so they supposed it might have looked like they were getting carried away. Astro rubbed the back of his neck. He was still a little on edge, a bit upset at having the fight interrupted. "We had things under control."

Nia pouted at him. "If you guys are gonna fight, maybe you shouldn't do it so close to the base. You know how much damage you could do," she said. There was a reason she and Astro always went somewhere else to train.

Dai Tai sighed. "Yeah, guess you're right. We should have planned this out a bit better. But don't think this means you're off the hook Astro," she said, smirking at him. "We'll call this one a draw for now, but I want a rematch. That was way too fun not to finish."

Astro smiled back at her. For him to have another sparring partner on earth besides his sister was exciting. "Yeah, bring it on…"

Far off in the distance, watching them from above, Hera let out a sigh. She had been a few moments away from going to down stop them herself, which would have been messy. Especially if Kingsley somehow recognized her. She was glad Nia showed up when she did.

She hoped they meant it when they said they'd find a better spot to brawl. If the gods sensed the divine power of a goddess clashing with a titan, they'd take notice, and then things would get even more complicated. "Teenagers…" she muttered.
