It had been a few days since the mishap at the Girls' Dorm. Classes were over for the day and Erina was wondering what to do. Jaden had something to do with Yubel and couldn't hang out, and Syrus went to go study. So, she had absolutely nothing to do.
Seeing no other option, she decided to just walk around and get more familiar with the campus. 'Jeez, I hope we start learning something more interesting in class or I'm gonna lose my mind.' She sighed as she passed the card shack and heard a loud rumbling behind her. She knew what it was, so she didn't need to look. "What's gotten you so protective?" She asked the thing behind her mentally.
To the normal observer, they would just see Erina walking alone across campus, but to the select few, there was a massive golden dragon looming over her.
The dragon responded with a light growl and Erina shook her head slightly. "Just because Jaden said there's something dark here, doesn't mean you have to be on edge all the time." She playfully scolded.
"You know…" She smiled slightly. "You being this overprotective reminds me of when I first saw you." She began to reminisce.

An 11 year old Erina was sleeping peacefully in her bed. It was a school day, but she really wanted to sleep in.
She turned around to try and block the light that was coming in from the windows. As she turned, she could hear a soft rumbling-like noise. She frowned slightly, trying to ignore it and go back to sleep, but it wouldn't stop. She turned on her back and sat up.
She opened her eyes, rubbing the sleep out of them to get her sight refocused. As Erina began to see clearer, she could make out the shape of something looming over the foot of her bed. Her eyes widened in fear. There, looming over her, was a giant golden dragon that was looking down at her.
She let out a shrill cry that echoed throughout the whole house. She would've jumped out of bed and ran out the room, but was too scared and shocked to move. She could hear a pair of footsteps running towards her room.
The door burst open and in came a woman with long brown hair with two bangs framing her face. She was relatively short with big brown eyes and a personality that radiates warmth. "Rina! What's the matter?!" She asked in a panic.
"T-That!" The bluenette squeaked as she pointed with a shaky finger at the dragon.
The woman blinked as she stared at where the young girl was pointing at. There was nothing there. "Uhm… honey? There is nothing there."
"Eh?" Erina blinked as well. She moved her gaze over the dragon and realized something. 'Wait… It's transparent.' "M-mom, can you call Jaden and tell him to come over?"
"Sure." Her mother replied. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, don't worry… Sorry for scaring you."
The brunette looked a bit sceptical, but gave her a smile. "No worries, dear. But, I want an explanation later." She said as she left the room.
"Of course!" Erina shouted.
Erina tilted her head to the side as she gazed at the dragon. "Are… are you a Duel Spirit?" She asked. It responded with a low hum and to Erina's surprise, she understood it! "Wow! So, that means… you're my spirit, right?"
Another, more drawn out hum was the response.
Erina grinned widely. "Cool!"
After a while, a knock was heard from her door. "Rina?" She heard Jaden's voice from the other side.
"Come in."
The door gently opened and Jaden walked in with her mother right behind him. "Where's the fire? Your mom called and sounded really wor-" Jaden stopped in the middle of the room as he noticed the dragon. "Ah…" He walked over to her bed and sat down. "So that's the reason your mom said you shrieked like a banshee." He chuckled.
"What?!" The girl began to relentlessly punch his shoulder. "She didn't say that! And I do not shriek like a banshee!"
"Ow! Ow!" Jaden yelped as he tried to shield himself from the assault. "Kidding! Kidding!"
She finally stopped and turned her head with a huff, while her mother was chuckling from her spot by the door.
Jaden rubbed his shoulder as he looked at the dragon. "So… how did this happen?"
Erina glanced at him. "Well… I don't really know. I just woke up and he was looming above me."
"Really?" Jaden asked in surprise. "And you can also see them now?"
"I guess." Erina shrugged. "Can't really explain why now all of a sudden I can see them. But, I don't care, this is really cool!" She exclaimed with a giddy smile.
At that moment Yubel appeared at the foot of the bed, glaring at the massive dragon. "Are you serious?!" She yelled. "How the hell did the idea of introducing yourself by looming above her bed while she was sleeping seemed okay in your big shiny head, you moron?!"
Jaden chuckled as he watched the big intimidating dragon shrink in shame as Yubel continued to scold it. Even Erina couldn't help herself. This was just too funny. It was like a mother scolding her child for tracking dirt in the whole house.
Erina felt very excited. She always envied Jaden for having the ability to gaze into a whole other world and now, she could as well!
"Hey, Jay?"
The boy turned to her and motioned with his head for her to continue.
"Could you… show me more of this?" She asked, putting on her best puppy eyes look.
The boy stared at her for a few moments before grinning widely. "Sure!"
"I feel like I'm kinda out of the loop here." Her mother spoke while she scratched her cheek awkwardly.
"Oh!" Erina remembered that her mother was there. "Um… I can see duel spirits just like Jaden can."
"Really now?" Her mother stared with a wide eyed expression. "Well that's quite a surprise." She then smiled. "Alright, you two get the day off from school, so Jaden can help you with this. Have fun!" She said and left the room.
"Yes!" Both teens exclaimed in joy.

"I still remember Yubel chewing you a new one for scaring me like that." She chuckled inwardly as she heard the slightly annoyed grumble of her spirit companion.
As Erina passed a few Slifer boys, she couldn't help but sigh. She'd seen what the Slifer Dorm looked like in comparison to the others and couldn't believe that her father would really do something like that. It seemed like some sort of revenge for the times Yugi beat him. 'I can't believe I'm the daughter of Seto Kaiba, a Petty Queen... Good thing I won't be following in his footsteps.'
"Erina!"
The bluenette turned around and saw Alexis coming towards her.
"Hey, Alexis! What's up?" She asked with a smile.
The blond stopped in front of her and bowed her head slightly. "I-I want to apologize."
"Huh?" Erina blinked. "For what?" She was confused as to what she had to apologize for, unless… 'Oh, that.'
"The other day." Alexis explained, shamefaced. "I wanted to duel Jaden and took it too far… And I was worried that you two wouldn't want to be around me after my stunt."
Alexis blinked then frowned as Erina began to laugh. "S-sorry, sorry." The bluenette said, recovering from her fit. "I mean, Jaden said we're friends, didn't he?"
"Well, yeah, but-"
"But nothing!" Erina interrupted. "If we weren't friends or hated you for what you did, you would've known the same night."
"You… you sure?"
Erina nodded. "Yup! So, if you're free, wanna hang out?" She asked and Alexis agreed. They slowly walked towards the Blue Dorms, getting to know each other a bit better along the way.
"We haven't talked much since the Welcome Dinner." Alexis said. "And I'm really surprised. Everyone has this impression that you are just like your dad, but it's the furthest thing from the truth."
Erina smirked. "What? Just because I'm a Kaiba, doesn't mean I'm cold and ruthless… outside of a duel at least."
Alexis scratched her cheek sheepishly. "Y-Yeah, looks can be deceiving, I guess."
"The same can be said about you too, you know? You look like an Ice Queen on the outside, but you are actually really sweet."
Alexis smiled awkwardly, even though it was meant as a complement, there was still an insult attached to it.
"So, what's it like to have Seto Kaiba as a dad?" The blond asked.
Erina shrugged. "As you'd expect. He's strict, a bit cold and at times I don't know if he cares about his tech more than me." She chuckled. "But at rare times he shows he truly cares about me. But no matter what he's still my dad and I love him, cold demeanor and all."
The bluenette gave an amused smile. "Although, I see Jaden's dad as a better role model to follow."
"Really? Is Jaden's dad just like him or...?" Alexis asked with a smile.
Erina stiffened a bit. Should she say who he is or not? Jaden said he'd leave it up to them to figure it out, so she should probably keep quiet as well.
"Well-"
"Hey! That's mine!"
"Well it's mine now, Slime!"
It seemed like luck was on her side today. The two girls looked at where all the commotion was coming from and saw an Obelisk boy bullying a Slifer, who was pushed to the ground. Erina gritted her teeth as she saw that the Obelisk boy was forcefully taking some card from the Slifer.
The bluenette sighed and began to approach them, while Alexis trailed behind her, wondering what she was about to do. As Erina reached them, she grabbed the Obelisk by the shoulder and kicked his feet from under him, causing him to fall on his back.
"Ah! What the hell?!"
Erina glared at him as he realized that he looked familiar. Short brown spiky hair and an overly smug face. "Hay, you're Chazz's goon. What the hell are you doing?" She asked with narrowed eyes as she saw the card in his hand.
The Obelisk, Raizou, stood up and narrowed his eyes. "What do you think I'm doing? I'm taking his card. A Slifer Slime like him has no use for a powerful card like this."
"So, you think just because he's in a lower dorm, you can take his card?!" Erina growled out. She pointed at the Slifer boy, who was just sitting on the ground and observing them silently. "You give his card back, now!"
Raizou smirked smugly. "Like hell I'm giving his card back!"
Erina sighed. 'God, I wanna punch that smug smirk right off his face.' She then smirked as she realized how to push this guy's buttons. "Ahh, I see, you're just scared that a Slifer might be a better duelist than you."
"What was that?!" Raizou shouted as his face went red with anger. "Alright, how about we duel and I'll show you just how much better I am!"
'Gotcha!' Erina grinned. "Sure, but when I win, you will give back his card."
"Ha! Fine, but if I win I keep the card." He then smirked. "And let's sweeten the deal for me. Along with the card, you go out on a date with me."
'Why are all rich boys like this?' Erina snorted. "Sure, whatever. It's not like you'd win in the first place." She said dismissively as she pulled out and inserted her deck into the Duel Disk.
"I'm gonna enjoy knocking you down a peg, Kaiba." Raizou said as he did the same.
As the two duelists prepared themselves, Alexis walked up to the Slifer boy, who had glasses and shoulder length black hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. "Hey, you okay?" She asked him.
"Y-Yeah…" The boy stammered out. He was a bit shocked and confused due to the fact that two Obelisks had come to his defense. Weren't all of them mean bullies? "I-I just pulled that card and it was the last one I needed to complete my deck."
Alexis gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Erina will get it back for you."
The boy nodded as he looked forward at the two duelists just getting into place.
"Duel!" Both shouted out as their Duel Disks flared to life.
Alexis was shocked. Even as a spectator she could feel the overwhelming dueling pressure Erina was exerting just by standing there. And if the bead of sweat rolling down Raizou's forehead was an indicator, he could feel it too. 'I guess that's just what dueling against a Kaiba feels like.'
Erina: 4000
Raizou: 4000
Erina grinned. "I'm feeling rather generous today. I'll let you go first."
"Heh, I'll make sure you regret it." Raizou said as he drew his card. "I begin with summoning Machina Soldier!"
A green and gray humanoid robot with a blade hand appeared on the field. (ATK: 1600/ DEF: 1500)
"And thanks to his effect, when he's the only monster on my field when summoned, I can summon another Machina monster!" Raizou explained and plucked a card from his hand. "And I summon Machina Sniper to the field!"
Next to the Soldier appeared another humanoid robot, but this one was a pale yellow color and held a sniper rifle in his hands. (ATK: 1800/ DEF: 800)
He then slipped a card into his Disk. "I finish off by playing the continuous spell, Machina Armored Unit! Your move."
'Machinas, huh?' Erina thought as he placed her fingers on her deck. "I draw!" She looked at the card and smiled slightly. "Oh, what a bad starting hand I have." She feigned disappointment.
"Then it seems I'll be taking you down easier than I thought!" Raizou grinned, but it quickly disappeared as Erina grinned herself.
"Good thing I drew this! Card Destruction!" She held up the card. "Now we both dump our hands into the graveyard and draw the same amount of cards."
Alexis was staring in puzzlement as both players discard their hands. 'Why would she run a card like that? ...Now that I think about it, I don't know what her deck is. Wonder what it could be, since it apparently requires cards in the graveyard.'
Erina drew her fresh five cards and smiled. "Ah, much better. I summon Guardian of Felgrand in attack mode!"
A big, bulky man appeared on the field, clad in shiny metal armor and brandishing a giant one-handed axe. (ATK: 500/ DEF: 500)
Raizou let out a mocking laugh. "He might look tough, but his stats are those of a wimp!"
"You sure?" The bluenette grinned. "I'll ask you after his effect activates. Dragon's Will!" Behind the man appeared a massive black dragon with tattered wings. "My Guardian can equip a high-level dragon to himself and gain half of the dragon's attack and defense points!"
The Darkstorm Dragon's spirit roared before it flew inside the guardian knight, causing a white aura to surround him. (ATK: 500-1850/ DEF: 500-1750)
"But I'm not done! I use Double Summon, with this I get an extra normal summon this turn" Erina slapped a card on her Disk. "I summon Dwarf Star Dragon Planeter in attack mode!"
Next to the Guardian appeared an odd looking dragon. It was odd because its right half was that of a black armored dragon, while its left side was lighten ablaze like a yellow sun. (ATK: 1700/ DEF: 1200)
"Battle! Guardian of Felgrand, destroy his Sniper!" Erina commanded. The Felgrand warrior charged at the Sniper, axe high above his head. The robotic sniper was split clean in half before exploding to bits.
Raizou: 3950
Raizou grunted as pixels flew everywhere. He then pointed to his spell. "My Machina Armored Unit activates! When one of my machine monsters is destroyed by battle, I can summon another one from my deck, but it has to be the same attribute and with less attack than the one destroyed!"
"I summon Machina Defender in defense mode!" He declared and on the field appeared a robot that looked like an anti-aircraft battery. (ATK: 1200/ DEF: 1800)
"That won't save you! Dwarf Star Dragon! Attack his Soldier with Star Burn!"
The dragon unleashed a stream of bright yellow energy that melted the green soldier before it exploded.
Raizou: 3850
She slipped a card into her Disk. "I end with a facedown. And during the End Phase of the turn Dwarf Star Dragon was summoned, I can add Arkbrave Dragon to my hand" She explained as she put the desired card to her hand.
"Alright, my turn!" Raizou drew his card.
"Now, my Arkbrave Dragon's effect activates from my graveyard!" Erina suddenly interrupted. "The turn after it was sent to the graveyard, I can summon a level 7 or 8 dragon from the graveyard back to the field!" A card came out of her Disk and she placed it in on her monster zone. "Now, rise up, Darkblaze Dragon!"
A pillar of fire shot out of the earth and out of it emerged a black and orange dragon with four wings. (ATK: 1200/ DEF: 1000)
"And when Darkblaze Dragon is summoned from the graveyard, his stats double!" Erina said and the dragon roared as its power grew. (ATK: 1200-2400/ DEF: 1000-2000)
"Alright, now you can continue." She gave a gesture with her hand
The Obelisk boy gritted his teeth in irritation and scanned his hand. He took a card and placed it in his graveyard. "By discarding my Machina Megaform to the graveyard, I can summon to the field the monster known as Machina Fortress!"
On the field appeared a large blue tank. The tank also had a humanoid head and arms. (ATK: 2500/ DEF: 1600)
"Next, I summon Machina Gearframe!" An orange humanoid robot appeared on the field. (ATK: 1800/ DEF: 0)
"And thanks to his effect, I can add a Machina Soldier to my hand!" Raizou explained as he added the card to his hand. "Then I equip Gearframe to my Machina Fortress!" The orange robot transformed into something that looked like an ammo drum and inserted itself into the tank.
"Now, Machina Fortress! Attack Guardian of Felgrand with Pulse Cannon!"
A blue energy began to build up in the cannon as it took aim at Erina's monster. Fortress fired the cannon and turned the knight into ashes.
Erina: 3350
Raizou smirked. "I end with a facedown."
"My turn!" Erina drew her card. She pressed a button on her Disk. "I activate my trap card, Dragon's Rebirth!" A bright blue light enveloped Dwarf Star Dragon as Erina began to explain. "This card banishes a dragon on my field and allows me to summon a new one from my hand or graveyard. And I bring back Arkbrave Dragon from my graveyard!"
The light disappeared and a portal opened. Out of it flew a big four winged dragon with pearl white scales and a golden underbelly. (ATK: 2400/ DEF: 2000)
Erina grinned. "And now for his effect!" The dragon shot a ball of light into the air. "When he's summoned from the graveyard, he banishes all of your face-up spells and traps, and he gains 200 attack and defense points for each one!" She revealed and Raizou's eyes widened in surprise.
The light ball split into smaller orbs as they began to rain down on the Obelisk boy's field, removing both his spell cards. The dragon roared as its stats began to rise. (ATK: 2400-2800/ DEF: 2000-2400)
Erina pointed at the tank. "Arkbrave Dragon! Turn that to scrap! Arklight Breath!" She ordered and the dragon obliged, unleashing a stream of blinding light from its mouth. The light connected with the tank and blew it to pixels.
Raizou: 3550
Raizou smirked. "Heh, my Machina Fortress' effect activates! When it's destroyed by battle, it takes one of your monsters with it!" He explained and Arkbrave exploded into pixels as well.
Erina gritted her teeth. "Whatever! Darkblaze, clear his field!"
The dragon unleashed a stream of fire that melted Machina Defender before it exploded.
The bluenette placed a card on her Duel Disk as she retrieved another from her graveyard. "I banish Guardian of Felgrand in order to summon Black Dragon Collapserpent to the field."
On the field appeared a dark gray dragon with an orange underbelly, with what seemed like a black hole in its chest. (ATK: 1800/ DEF: 1700)
"With that I end my turn."
"I draw!" The Obelisk boy shouted as he drew his next card. "Now, I banish my Machina Fortress from my graveyard in order to summon from my graveyard the Machina Megaform!"
On the field appeared a giant robot whose upper half resembled the Machina Fortress. (ATK: 2600/ DEF: 1500)
"Next, I activate Pot of Greed!" Raizou drew his extra cards. "I summon my second Machina Sniper to the field!"
Another robot sniper appeared on the field. (ATK: 1800/ DEF: 800)
He pressed a button on his Disk and flipped over his facedown. "Then, I use Call of the Haunted to bring back Machina Soldier!"
The green robot reappeared on the field. (ATK: 1600/ DEF: 1500)
"Heh! Time for a beatdown!" Raizou laughed. "Machina Megaform! Destroy Darkblaze Dragon!" The giant machine charged the cannon on its shoulder and fired a blue blast towards Erina's dragon, blowing it to pixels.
Erina: 3150
"Machina Sniper, fire!" The boy ordered. The sniper aimed and fired its rifle, landing a shot square in the dragon's chest, but not before the dragon fired a black fireball that destroyed the sniper.
"Black Dragon Collapserpent's effect activates!" Erina said as she took a card from her deck and showed it to him. "When it's sent to the graveyard from the field, I add White Dragon Wyverburster to my hand."
"Fine by me! Because you are wide open!" Raizou pointed straight at her. "Slice her up, Machina Soldier!" The machine charged and made a horizontal slice across her.
Erina: 1550
The boy slipped a card into his Disk. "I end with a facedown."
"My turn!" Erina drew her card with a smirk. "I'm disappointed, all duel you just leave your monsters defenseless."
"But you've been doing the same!" The Obelisk boy countered.
"Yeah, but I actually benefit when I have a full graveyard. Let me show you." Erina placed a card on her Disk. "I banish Black Dragon Collapserpent and Arkbrave Dragon from my graveyard to summon the Chaos Sorcerer!"
On the field appeared a gray-skinned man who wore a black mage's robes. (ATK: 2300/ DEF: 2000)
The bluenette smirked. "And can you guess what he does? He banishes one monster on the field!"
Raizou took a step back in shock as the magician's hands lit up, one with dark energy, the other with light energy. He combined the two energies and threw it at the Machina Megaform. As the energy hit the machine giant, it disappeared.
"Sadly, when he uses his effect, he can't attack." She shrugged. "But that won't stop me. I activate Card Destruction!" Once again, both players dumped their hands into the graveyard and drew their new cards.
"I play Pot of Greed!" She drew her two extra cards. "I summon another Dwarf Star Dragon!"
The second space dragon appeared on the field next to Chaos Sorcerer. (ATK: 1700/ DEF: 1200)
"Now Dwarf Star Dragon, send that pile of scrap to the junkyard!"
The dragon roared, ready to fire his attack, but Raizou flipped over his facedown. "I activate Negate Attack!"
Erina grunted in annoyance. "Fine then. I end my turn. Now, Dwarf Star Dragon's effect activates and I add my third Arkbrave Dragon to my hand"
"I draw!" Raizou drew his card a bit nervously.
"And now for the Arkbrave in my Graveyard's effect!" Erina interrupted with a grin. "Rise up to the field, Darkstorm Dragon!"
For the first time, on the field rose the black dragon with tattered wings. (ATK: 2700/ DEF: 2500)
"I activate Card of Sanctity! Now we both draw until we hold six cards!" Both players drew their extra cards, both drawing four.
"I play the spell card, Swords of Revealing Light!" The boy exclaimed and swords made out of light rained down around Erina's field. "Now for the next three turns, you can't attack!"
"Next, I summon Machina Gearframe!" The orange robot appeared on the field. (ATK: 1800/ DEF: 0)
"With its effect, I add Machina Defender to my hand!" Raizou said as he placed the card in his hand. He then held up a card. "I'll use the spell card, Rush Recklessly on my Gearframe, giving it an extra 700 attack points!" (ATK: 1800-2500)
"Now Gearframe will attack your Chaos Sorcerer!" The orange robot charged forward and destroyed Erina's monster with a punch delivered right in the head.
Erina: 1350
Raizou slipped three cards into his Disk. "I place three facedowns and end my turn."
And with the end of his turn, Gearframe's attack reverted back to normal. (ATK: 2500-1800)
"My turn." Erina drew her card. "First, I place three facedowns." She said as three cards appeared in front of her feet. "Then, I'll Gemini summon my Darkstorm Dragon!"
She held up a card. "I play the spell card, Graceful Charity! With this I draw three cards, but I have to discard two after that." Erina drew her three cards and discarded two cards that were already in her hand.
"I switch Dwarf Star Dragon to defense mode and end my turn."
"I call that a waste of time!" Raizou laughed as he drew his card. 'Perfect!' He smirked as he held up a card. "I'll use Monster Reborn to bring back my Machina Sniper!"
The robot sniper appeared on the field. (ATK: 1800/ DEF: 800)
"Then, I activate Double Summon, letting me normal summon one more time this turn!" He then placed two cards on his Disk. "I summon Machina Defender and Commander Covington!"
On the field appeared the blue rocket battery and next to it appeared a small red humanoid robot. (ATK: 1200/ DEF: 1800) (ATK: 1000/ DEF: 600)
The Obelisk boy laughed. "Now it's time to summon my strongest monster! Commander Covington's effect activates when Machina Sniper, Soldier and Defender are on my field. By sending all three of them to the graveyard, I summon Machina Force to the field!"
The three machines disappeared and in their place appeared a big humanoid robot that looked like a combination of the three sacrificed monsters. It had Soldier's legs and head, Sniper's torso and arms, and on his shoulders stood Defender's rocket launchers. (ATK: 4600/ DEF: 4100)
"Before I attack, I'll use Mystical Space Typhoon on your left facedown!" A tornado shot out from his card and destroyed her Drowning Mirror Force.
He laughed. "Machina Force, I pay 1000 Life Points so you can attack! Destroy her Darkstorm Dragon!"
Raizou: 2550
"I activate my facedown, Impenetrable Attack! With this, I reduce the damage I'd take from your attack to zero!"
"But your monster is still destroyed!" The brunette boy said with a smirk, which disappeared just as fast because he saw Erina grin back at him.
"Not quite!" She held up a card from her graveyard. "I use the graveyard effect of the spell card, Return of the Dragon Lords! By removing it from play, my dragon survives your attack!"
Raizou gritted his teeth in irritation. All he did was lose life points. "Fine! Make your move, but know it is your last!"
Erina grinned widely. "Oh how right you are!" She drew her card. "You know, I've actually been toying with you this whole time!" She revealed, shocking her opponent and the spectators.
"What!?" All three of them said.
"Impossible!" Raizou growled out. "We've been going back and forth this whole time! How could you have been toying with me?!"
"Easy! The winning card has been sitting in my graveyard since the first turn! I wanted to see if you actually had any semblance of skill, but I'm disappointed that you share the same dorm color as me." She said and slipped a card into her Disk. "I activate Return of the Dragon Lords! This card revives a level 7 or 8 dragon from my graveyard! And I have one of the strongest ones in there! One who is worshipped as a god!" Erina held her right hand up to the sky and the earth behind her began to crack and rays of golden light began to shine through them. "Rise from your eternal slumber! Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand!"
The ground was split open with a burst of light and out of it flew something absolutely massive! Behind Erina, landed a golden dragon with a silver underbelly. The sun bounced off its scales in such a way it caused them to shine brilliantly. The dragon unleashed a booming roar, so loud it caused Alexis and the Slifer boy to cover their ears. (ATK: 2800/ DEF: 2800)
"It's beautiful!" Alexis gasped in awe. "So that's her ace monster."
Erina narrowed her eyes. "And before you comment that he's weaker than that tin can you call a monster, he'll show you his effect! When he is summoned from the graveyard, he banishes one of your monsters from the game and gains 100 attack and defense points for every level it has!"
"W-Wait a moment!" Raizou took a step back. The golden dragon unleashed another roar. This one more was concentrated as it sent shockwaves at Machina Force, causing it to rust away to dust. (ATK: 2800-3800/ DEF: 2800-3800)
"I reveal my facedown! The continuous spell, Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords!" Erina said as a shrine with a dragon statue on it appeared on the field. "What it does doesn't matter because I'll be using it as tribute to activate Darkstorm Dragon's effect! Withering Storm!" The black dragon flapped its wings and a dust storm began to sweep the field. "By sending my spell to the graveyard he destroys all spell and traps on the field!" She explained as the storm destroyed all facedowns left on the field, and more importantly, it destroyed the Swords of Revealing Light!
"M-My Swords!" Raizou stammered out. His eyes widened in realization. "Wait-!"
"You lose!" Erina said. "You are just as weak as I thought! You are just like Chazz! An arrogant, weak and selfish duelist who bullies others just to stroke their own ego! Take this as your lesson on humility!"
Erina pointed at his lone monster. "Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand, end this! Diving God Burst!" The dragon roared as it fired a stream of golden fire from its mouth. The fire hit Raizou's monster and the flame expanded and hit him as well, wiping out all of his life points.
Raizou: 0
"She wasn't kidding when she said she was ruthless in a duel." Alexis mumbled to herself.
Erina walked over to the Obelisk boy, who was on the ground on hand and knees. "The card. Now." She said with narrowed eyes. Raizou raised his arm with the card in it without looking up or saying a word. Erina snatched it and began walking back to Alexis and the Slifer boy.
She smirked as she looked at the card before handing it back to its rightful owner. "Darklords, huh? I know of a person who uses a deck like that. It's a pretty strong one!" She said with a soft tone, which was completely different from the one she used a few moments ago.
"Thank you very much!" The Slifer boy bowed in thanks. "I had no idea there were Obelisks who are actually nice."
"There are, but sadly there probably aren't many of them." Alexis sadly said.
"Well, hopefully they can learn something from you two." The Slifer smiled. "Thank you once again! And that was an amazing duel!" He said before he ran off towards his dorm.
"Remind me to never get on your bad side." Alexis said in an amused tone.
Erina chuckled sheepishly. "Got a bit carried away, didn't I?" She asked and Alexis nodded. "Oh well." She laughed. "Now come on! That duel made me crave something sweet!" She said as she grabbed Alexis' hand and began to run towards the Girls' Dorm.
Ah, Chaos Dragons, how annoying you used to be.
Hey guys! Hope you liked the little chapter to showcase her deck. I did it mainly because her next duel would've been the tag duel probably (still haven't decided it) or WAY later during the school representative duel (which will be a tournament btw!).
The reason it took this long is well... I was debating if I should scrap the whole thing after a few disheartening reviews... BUT then it hit me, like why should I care about what one random person says? Don't get me wrong, I'll take those reviews to heart and try to do better, but you can't tell me that Kaiba doesn't favor his dragons. Especially when he made support cards for his Blue-Eyes in the DSoD movie which were all dragon types.
I'll stop there because I'll start ranting. I'll see you all next time where we'll be learning our abc's... or xyz's in this case.
