Author's Note: Hey, guys! Hope you all had a nice Christmas and are enjoying the holidays with your loved ones!
E.T. 2000: Yes, I will use more fusion archetypes. I actually want to try and fit as many as I possibly can into my story. Funnily enough I had considered Thunder Dragons or Gem Knights for Erina at the beginning, but chose not to use them because, well Gem Knights are too similar to HEROES and TD are too strong and a bit boring for a MC. But, they might show up in the future and out of the ones you have written, I can guarantee that I'll be using three of them. (Obviously not gonna say which ones)

The morning sun was shining over Academy Island and at the Slifer Dorm, all of the inhabitants were having breakfast in the meal hall.
Professor Banner was up at the front, trying to address them. "Students, can I have your attention, please? Eyes forward. Chumley stop chewing with your mouth open!"
Jaden and Syrus laughed a bit at Chumley as he was about to stuff a whole grilled cheese in his mouth.
Banner smiled when everyone quieted down. "Alright, now please join me in welcoming a new transfer student, Blair Flannigan." Blair came out and stood next to the Professor. He was a short one, more so than Syrus, he had dark purple hair sticking out a bit from underneath his cap, a red Slifer jacket and brown eyes which were hidden underneath the cap because he mostly kept his head down.
"I had to stop eating for a transfer student?" Chumley complained.
"Great…" Syrus sighed. "He's smaller than me, dresses goofier than me… My sidekick gig is over."
"Come on, guys, be nice." Jaden said as he stood up and went to welcome the new transfer. "Welcome to Slifer, Blair!" He said enthusiastically, but Blair recoiled a bit as Jaden placed his arm around his shoulders in an attempt to be friendly. "We're the best dorm on campus and-"
"Jaden, wait, you don't understand." Banner told him.
"I'm just trying to be friendly…" Blair released himself from Jaden and stood timidly behind Banner. "And… help him… feel at home."
"But this isn't Blair's home, at least, not for long. You see, he scored nearly perfect on all his entrance exams."
"Ohh…" Jaden nodded, realizing what the headmaster meant.
"It is the academy's policy that all transfer students start out in the Slifer dorm. But, with his high marks, he'll be moved up to Ra Yellow within a few days."
Jaden smiled at this. "Ah, well good for Blair. I'm guessing he'll need a room to stay in?"
"That's right." Banner nodded before looking over towards Syrus and Chumley. "Syrus, Chumley, you won't mind having Blair as your new roommate for a few days?"
"Sure, we don't mind." Syrus said and Chumley just nodded his head in agreement due to his mouth being full of grilled cheese.
"Excellent!" Banner smiled and looked down at Blair. "Now, why don't you say hello to your fellow Slifers?"
"Hello." Blair said in a low voice and waved at them.
Later in the day, the students of all three dorms were gathered and seated in one of the larger auditoriums, waiting for some sort of announcement. People were talking amongst each other, guessing and wondering what Chancellor Sheppard was going to announce.
Soon enough, Sheppard's face appeared on the screen. "Settle down students, attention please… Chumley stop chewing with your mouth open!"
"Damn, twice in one day…" The portly boy sighed as he hid his grilled cheese from Sheppard's view.
After everyone calmed down, Sheppard began talking again. "Good. Now, as you might know, our big match against our rival school, North Academy, is coming up. Last year, Zane, our student rep, whopped them good and this year I'd like for us to win again."
Syrus noticed Blair was staring at Zane. "Hey Blair, did you know Zane is my brother?"
"Really?" Blair looked surprised. "He's your brother?"
Syrus nodded. "Yeah, he's pretty cool, but mom says I got the looks."
Blair gave him a weird look, while Erina snorted from the row above them. "Yeah, Sy, and I'm sure you got the height as well." She teased with a grin. The small Slifer tried to give her an intimidating glare, but it only caused her to laugh. Jaden elbowled her to stop, although he was trying to suppress his laughter as well.
"Now we still haven't decided who'll represent us this year." Their attention was brought back to Sheppard. "So if you keep hitting those books and duel your hardest, you may be the one who gets that honor." With that he ended the broadcast.
"Hey, did you hear that?" Jaden smiled and turned to his best friend. "I'm gonna be in this match."
Erina rolled her eyes. "Please, like you'd get the chance over me. I do have the better grades between us." She pointed out.
Jaden snorted. "Yeah, but I outclass you in dueling skills, so there!" Erina gave him a look of mock offense before they both laughed.
"Or it could be me." Syrus said with a shrug. "But let's face it, guys… It'll probably be Zane again."
"How come?" Jaden asked.
"Because he's amazing." Blair muttered with a dreamy look in his eyes. Jaden and Erina looked a bit weirded out by the comment.
"Because he's amazing? What does that have to do with anything?" Jaden complained as he, Erina, Syrus and Chumley walked outside. "It should be about who's best…"
"Well, Zane did beat you in a duel, remember?" Syrus pointed out.
"Even if it was a close match." Chumley added.
"True." Erina nodded. "But if Zane hadn't drawn Seven Tools of the Bandit, Jaden would've been the winner in the end." Something caught the bluenette's eye. She tapped Jaden on the shoulder and pointed up ahead. He turned to where she was pointing only to see Blair running off in the direction of the Blue Dorm.
Jaden frowned, something wasn't right with Blair. Both he and Erina shared a look before Jaden broke into a run.
"What the-? Where are you going, Jay?!" Syrus yelled after him.
"I gotta go check something out!" He yelled back.
"I'll meet you back at your room!" Erina shouted.
'Now let's see if we were right…' Jaden thought as he ran, ready to solve this mystery. The look Blair was giving Zane was all too familiar to him and Erina, after all, they've gotten their fair share of them as well.
Jaden arrived at the Obelisk Boys' Dorm and looked around for Blair. He looked up and saw him jump onto a balcony from the tree branch that was looming over it and entered the room.
'First Blair made that weird comment about Zane and now he's sneaking into the Blue Dorm? Something's definitely not right here.' Jaden thought. He climbed up the tree and silently jumped onto the balcony.
He peeked through the door to look inside and saw Blair open one of the desk drawers and pull out… a deck box? He opened and took out the deck. 'That's Zane's deck!' Jaden's eyes widened in surprise. His expression changed completely when Blair practically cuddled the deck, rubbing it against his face. 'What the-!?' Jaden freaked out. 'Oh man, really wish I hadn't seen that…'
"Come on guys, let's go upstairs."
Jaden turned to look down the balcony to see Zane and three more Obelisks approaching the dorm entrance. "Shit!" He cursed and burst into the room.
Blair jumped and dropped the deck on the floor. "What are you doing here?!"
"I don't know what you're doing, but we gotta go!" Jaden interrupted. "If you get caught here, you'll get booted out for trespassing!"
Both of them turned to the front door as they heard voices on the other side approach the room.
"Come on, let's go!" Jaden grabbed Blair's hand and pulled hard. Jaden stared as her hat fell alongside something metallic. The HERO duelist's eyes widened in shock as Blair's long hair spilled out.
He gasped. "You're… you're…" He stopped and watched Blair grab her hat and ran out the balcony, leaping onto the tree and sliding down to her escape. "Okay, now I'm confused." But at least the weird comment and look made sense now.
He spun around when he heard the doorknob click and open. "Hey! What are you doing here?!" One of the three Obelisks asked as they and Zane entered the room.
The other one noticed Zane's deck scattered across the floor. "You were trying to mess with Zane's deck weren't you, you Slifer Slime?"
"Oh boy…" Jaden ignored the three Blue stooges and looked at Zane. "Zane, you know I'd never mess with your deck. I have a very good reason as to why I'm here."
The other three cracked their knuckles and were ready to beat him up. "We'll take you to Dr. Crowler once we're done with you!"
"Stop." Zane held up his hand. "Leave."
"What?"
"But, Zane-!"
"Leave!" He said forcefully and the Obelisks obliged, leaving Zane and Jaden in the room. "So, why were you here, Jaden?"
"Well…" Jaden scratched his cheek awkwardly. How was he gonna explain this in a believable way? "Listen, Zane, I followed someone here who was acting weird. I had no idea he'd enter your room… and honestly? I didn't expect to see what I saw." Zane was starting to get confused, but he was patient with Jaden.
"Look, all I ask of you is to keep quiet about this for a bit and I'd message you once I get more info, okay?" He turned towards the balcony and was about to jump when he turned around. "Oh, and you might wanna sanitize your cards." And with that he vaulted over the railing, landing on the grass and running off towards the Slifer Dorm. "Man, Erina won't believe me when I tell her."
"What was all that about?" Zane asked aloud before he began to collect his cards off the floor. "Huh…" He noticed a rather girlish hair clip near his bed. "What's going on here?"
It was late into the evening of the same day and Zane was waiting at the docks alone, but was soon joined by Alexis. "Wow, a cold and wet dock in the middle of the night. You sure haven't forgotten how to show a girl a good time, Zane." The blond said sarcastically.
Zane just shrugged indifferently before pulling out the hair clip from his pocket. "I found this in my room today."
Alexis eyed the clip. "Okay…? That's a weird way to tell me you've had a girl over, Zane." She teased.
Zane grumbled awkwardly, it wasn't easy to get him embarrassed. "I also found your boyfriend there as well."
"My WHAT?!" Alexis shrieked and her cheeks instantly reddened. "What are you talking about?!"
"I don't know why Jaden-"
"Jaden is not my boyfriend!" Alexis cut him off immediately. "Why on earth would you think that?!" She asked, getting more and more embarrassed by the second.
Zane looked shocked. "He isn't? I thought he was given how much time you two have been spending together."
"As friends!" The blond emphasised. "Tell me you haven't been spreading it around?!" She asked angrily, mortified by the prospect of a rumor like that spreading around when it wasn't even true. She wanted to disappear right this instant if he did.
"N-No, I haven't." Zane assured her, taken aback by her outburst. Alexis was the type that was always cool and collected no matter what. "It was just an observation I made. I apologize-" He got quiet once he got a better look at Alexis. Her face was extremely red, she was fidgeting and she was firmly squeezing her thumbs in her fists. A nervous tick of hers he had noticed. "Ah…" A smirk spread across his lips. "I see what's going on."
"I don't know what you're talking about…" She mumbled and turned her head to hide her face from him.
"You have a crush on Jaden, don't you?" Zane deduced.
"No I don't…" She denied immediately.
"I remember Atticus telling me something like this might happen. I'm surprised he was actually right."
"Can we get back to the original subject?" Alexis snapped slightly, getting more angry than embarrassed now from the teasing.
"Right." Zane coughed awkwardly to cover his amusement. The Ice Queen had a crush. "Jaden said he'd message me what's going on, but I decided to do some digging. The hair clip belongs to the new transfer, Blair Flannigan. She's a girl, but for some reason is trying to pass as a boy here."
"That's weird…" Alexis said, finally getting her emotions under control. "So what are you going to do now?" She asked and her PDA went off. "Sorry…" She took it out to see that it was Jaden who messaged her.
"Hey Lex, could you tell Zane to come to the cliff behind the Slifer Dorm? I said I'd call him when I got answers for him, but I realized I didn't have his contact details..."
"Looks like you're about to get your answers." She said. "Jaden's calling you to the Slifer Dorm."
Zane nodded and they headed towards the Slifer Dorm, but he still felt awkward for riling Alexis up like that. And he could tell that she was still upset about it, so he was careful not to set her off lest he received the same type of punishment Atticus usually got.
Back at the Slifer Dorm, or rather below it, Jaden and Blair were sitting on the rocks, staring out at the ocean. Jaden had told Erina about his find and she was taken by surprise. Of all the theories she had, this wasn't one of them. A bit after that Blair had arrived and asked to speak to Jaden privately.
"Listen, Jaden, you can't tell anyone else I'm a girl, got it?" Blair said. "I could get into a lot of trouble by pretending to be a boy."
"I won't." Jaden said. "I know a thing or two about keeping secrets, so don't worry. Oh, and Erina will keep quiet as well, but can you at least explain why go through all that trouble in the first place?"
"N-No!" Blair blushed.
"Okay, okay." Jaden backed off a bit. "But since you don't want to tell me, you gotta duel me instead."
"A duel?" Blair asked in surprise. "Why?"
"Well, not trying to blackmail ya or anything, but I know who the lucky guy is." Jaden teased and grinned when Blair jumped as she heard that. "So if you don't want me to tell him, you gotta duel me." Jaden pulled out an extra Duel Disk from his backpack. "If you win, I'll keep quiet about it."
"And if you win?" Blair asked through narrowed eyes.
"I don't need anything." Jaden shook his head. "I'll learn all I need from the duel itself."
"Alright! You're on!" Blair said and grabbed the Duel Disk.
Above them, Erina was standing there and watching them. She was very amused, because unlike Jaden, she knew everything just from the limited information Blair had given. She found it cute… and equally creepy.
"Hey, Erina!" She turned around to see Syrus and Chumley coming over. "What's going on?" The small boy asked. She just pointed down and the Slifers looked at what was there. "I knew it…" Syrus sighed sadly and lowered his head. "Jaden found a new sidekick to replace me."
Erina laughed and patted the boy on the head. "No, Syrus, that's not it. Jaden is trying to figure out why Blair is pretending to be a boy, so don't worry you're still the favorite sidekick."
"Blair's a girl?!" Both Slifers exclaimed in shock.
"Yup, and she broke into your brother's room as well." They turned around when they heard Alexis and saw her and Zane.
"Really?" Syrus asked.
"Yes, but I don't know why she did it." Zane said as he looked down at the two people below. "I wonder if we'll find out now?"
"Duel!"
All of them brought their attention to the action below that's about to begin.
"Why am I not surprised?" Alexis mused. Dueling seemed to be Jaden's go-to problem solving tool.
Blair: 4000

"Better get your game on!" Jaden said as they drew their starting hands.
"Here I go!" Blair drew her card. "Get ready to fall in love!" She placed a card on her Disk. "I summon Maiden in Love!" Jaden blinked in surprise as a young girl with long curly brown hair and a flowing yellow dress appeared on the field. She had a dreamy look on her face closely resembling Blair's from earlier today. (ATK: 400/ DEF: 300)
"She's really cute!" Syrus exclaimed, while Chumley grumbled in annoyance at his friend's comment.
"Okay…?" Jaden scratched his cheek. "My turn! I draw!" Jaden looked at the card he drew and played it. "I summon Elemental HERO Avian!" The feathered HERO appeared on the field. (ATK: 1000/ DEF: 1000)
"Alright, Avian, attack with Quill Cascade!"
"Oh, my poor defenseless maiden…" Syrus sighed dramatically.
"Hey, who said she's yours?" Chumley countered.
"Guys, calm down." Erina scolded lightly.
"Yeah, let's let the monster do the fighting instead." Alexis agreed.
Avian flew up in the air and unleashed a rain of feathers with a beat of his wings. The Maiden gasped in pain and fell to her knees to protect herself from the attack. Blair also covered her face as some of the feathers flew and hit her as well.
Blair: 3600
"You may have broken her heart, Jaden, but she will live to love another day!" Blair said. "You see, as long as she's in attack mode, her effect keeps her from being destroyed by battle!"
"Interesting effect…" Erina said. "But there has to be more to it than that."
Jaden heard a familiar coo, causing him to turn and see Winged Kuriboh next to him. "What's up, buddy?"
"Take a look at Avian, Jaden." Yubel appeared next to them and shook her head in disappointment. "Seriously… I can't believe that feathered moron."
Jaden compiled and was shocked at what his eyes saw…
Avian was kneeling in front of the Maiden.
"My lady, are you alright?" Avian asked her.
She looked away shyly. "Maybe, maybe not."
"What?!" Jaden shrieked and took a step back. "Come on, Avian, pull yourself together! You're supposed to be in attack mode, not in love!"
"Looks like we got competition, Chum." Syrus mumbled and Chumley nodded.
"You guys are weird as hell." Erina pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Just great, my monster is head over heels, could it get any worse?" Jaden asked, staring at the field.
Yubel smirked. "You can't really blame him since you're in the same boat, Jaden." Winged Kuriboh cooed in agreement with her.
"Not helping, guys!" Jaden sighed.
Blair hummed playfully. "Actually, it does get worse. You see, Jaden, my Maiden has another effect. Whichever monster attacks her, gains a Maiden Counter!" She explained as her Maiden blew a kiss at Avian, who blushed and a small pink heart appeared on his chest.
"So there is more to that card." Erina noted.
"Yeah, but it can't be good for Jaden." Alexis added.
"What's a Maiden Counter?" Jaden asked.
Blair wagged her finger. "Not so fast… you'll find out soon enough~" She replied in a sing-song voice. "But moving on now." She drew her next card and added it to her hand. She plucked a different one and slipped it into the Duel Disk. "I play the equip spell, Cupid's Kiss! And I will equip it to my Maiden!"
Jaden watched in confusion as a tiny Cupid appeared and kissed the Maiden on the cheek.
"Now…" She pointed at Avian. "I'll have her attack!"
The Maiden ran towards Avian like it was a love scene from a cheesy romance movie. "Oh Mister Avian, come here! I want to give you a hug!"
Just as she was about to reach out and hug Avian, he stepped to the side, causing her to fall to the ground. She sat up and looked at him sadly. "Why did you do that?" She asked and took her face into her hands, beginning to cry. "You're so mean!"

"My lady…" Avian knelt down. "Please accept my apology."
The Maiden smiled and blew a kiss at him. "Okay." Avian helped her back to her feet. "Nwo, will you do me a little favor, Mr. Avian?" She asked sweetly.
"Anything, my Lady."
"Good. See him?" She pointed at Jaden. "Take him down!"
"Done!" Avian leapt onto the air and swung with his wings, sending air-blades at Jaden.
Jaden covered his face as the attack ripped through him. "Avian, are you nuts?! Snap out of it!" He yelled. "Can't you see she's just using you?!"

"She can use me anytime!" Syrus said with a wide smile.
Erina tried her best to suppress her gag. 'Why are you guys like this?'
'I've never felt this way without grilled cheese around.' Chumley thought as he placed a hand on his stomach.
Blair giggled as Avian landed next to her Maiden. "Sorry, Jaden, but when Maiden in Love takes damage from a monster with a Maiden Counter on it, the equip spell Cupid's Kiss activates! Allowing me to take control of your monster. Of course, it will cost me a few life points, but it will cost you a lot more." She said as she inserted a card into her Disk. "And with this facedown, I'll end my turn."
"Man… Avian has fallen in love and I've fallen behind." Jaden drew his card and looked at it. 'Sparkman…' He looked at the field. 'But if I attack with him, he'll fall for Maiden just like Avian did. I gotta do something…'
"I summon Elemental HERO Sparkman in attack mode!" Jaden declared and Sparkman graced the field. (ATK: 1600/ DEF: 1400)
"I hate to do this, Avian, but you're either with us or against us. Sparkman, attack Avian with Static Shockwave!" Sparkman turned his head and gave Jaden a confused look, causing the HERO duelist to sigh. "Trust me, he'll thank us later…"
Sparkman nodded and charged a ball of electrical energy in his hands, shooting a current of electricity at the feathered hero.
Blair pressed a button on her Disk before the attack connected. "I don't think so, Jaden! I activate the trap, Defense Maiden!" To Jaden's surprise, Maiden in Love jumped in front of Avian, taking the full hit from Sparkman.
Blair's LP: 1600
"My trap redirects Sparkman's attack to my Maiden in Love and you know what that means." Blair smirked.
The Maiden fell to her knees after taking the hit and began to cry. Avian knelt down next to her and glared at his brother-in-arms. "Sparkman, you dare attack a defenseless maiden? For shame, Sparkman, for shame!" He scolded.
Sparkman clutched his helmet, distraught at the horrendous crime he just committed. "You're right, I'm so sorry!" He apologized to the Maiden. "Please, forgive me! I'll do anything! Anything!"
"Anything?" The Maiden looked at him. "Well nothing comes to mind now, but I'm sure I'll think of something later." She winked at him.
Sparkman felt overjoyed as a heart appeared on his chest. "Just simply say the word, my darling!"
"Bunch of idiots…" Yubel palmed her face, disappointed at the idiocy of Jaden's HEROES. "Are the women the only ones with common sense in our deck?" Winged Kuriboh cooed in disagreement. "Yes, you are the exception."
While Jaden groaned in embarrassment, Blair smiled. "And now Sparkman has a Maiden Counter as well."
Syrus smiled as he and Chumley looked down at the Maiden. "I want one! How can I get a Maiden Counter?"
"Yeah me too, I want one too!" Chumley nodded in agreement.
Alexis looked a little concerned. "Uh… guys, you do realize that she's just a card, right?"
"I understand liking a card, but you guys are overdoing it in a very weird way." Erina shuddered.
Zane chuckled. "Try to remember who you're talking to, girls. When we were growing up, Syrus kept saying he was going steady with the Dark Magician Girl."
Alexis and Erian looked at each other and began to laugh, while Syrus stood frozen in embarrassment.
"That's adorable!" Erian said through her laughter.
"Is that so?" Alexis grinned. "Did she break your heart, Sy?" She teased. "Or did you decide to see other monsters?"
Syrus glared at Zane. "Nice one, jerk."
"Any time." Zane teased, much to his little brother's shock. Zane has never teased him before.
"Alright, here I go!" Blair drew her card. "I activate the Equip Spell, Happy Marriage! Now my Maiden gains as many attack points as Avian has… that is, if Avian says 'I do' of course."
The Maiden's outfit changed into a white wedding dress with flowers on it. She took Avian's hand in her own and looked up at him.
"It would be my honor." Avian swore and the Maiden's attack points rose from the spell card. (ATK: 400-1400)
"Now, let's have her pay a visit to Sparkman!" Maiden in Love ran towards Sparkman, but as she was about to throw herself at him Sparkman moved to the side and she fell to the ground.

Jaden sighed sadly since he knew what was about to happen.
"Sparkman, how could you do that? You said you would do anything for me!" She whimpered as tears filled her eyes.
Sparman immediately went to her aid. "You're right, I'm sorry! Command me, my love!"
The Maiden smiled. "Alright, that's better."
"What is your wish?" Sparkman asked, rising to his feet.
"I wish…" She thought for a moment before pointing at Jaden. "That you beat up that mean boy over there!"
"With pleasure!" Sparkman turned to Jaden and fired off a torrent of electricity.
Jaden groaned as the blast went through his chest.

"Well don't just stand there, hubby." The Maiden glanced back at Avian.
"Of course not, my dear!" Avian beat his wings and shot out more wind-blades at Jaden, causing more damage.
Jaden's LP: 400
"Is it bad that I'm finding this amusing?" Erina asked her Duel Spirit, who couldn't help but agree with her. "Wonder if Maiden Counters work on male dragons…?" She asked and received a whine in response.
Blair smiled as she threw her hat off and untied her bandana, letting her hair fall. "Sorry, Jaden, but you can't beat me. I'm dueling for love!"
"Dueling for love?" Zane questioned. "Doesn't she mean dueling with love?"
Erina rolled her eyes. "Come on, don't tell me you haven't figured it out yet?"
"Yeah, think about it, Zane." Alexis held up her hand and began pointing out with her fingers. "First, she puts on a disguise, then tricks her way into our school and then breaks into your room."
Syrus' face turned to surprise as he put it all together. "She's in love!"
"Big time." Erina nodded and turned back to the duel. "And she's in love with you, Zane."
"Jaden…" Yubel began.
"Yeah, yeah, I know… putting two guys against a girl wasn't one of my smartest ideas." Jaden shrugged as he drew.
"You think?" Yubel groaned.
"Jackpot!" Jaden grinned when he saw the card he drew. "I needed a woman's touch here and I just drew the perfect one! I summon Elemental HERO Burstinatrix!"
Sparkman and Avian tensed up when the fiery heroine appeared on Jaden's field, looking very displeased with the two. (ATK: 1200/ DEF: 800)
"Burstinatrix!" Avian and Sparkman cried in panic.
"Uh… I know how bad this looks, but…" Avain began.
"Save it!" Burstinatrix interrupted. "You two are pathetic, but your honeymoon is just about over!"
Both HEROES stepped back and hugged each other as Burstinatrix was surrounded by flames.
"We're in for it now…" Sparkman whimpered.
"You go, girl!" Jaden grinned as he took a card from his hand. "Time to get these guys back! I activate the spell card, Burst Return! When Burstinatrix is on the field, this card lets me bring all other Elemental HEROES to my hand!"
When he placed the card on the Duel Disk, the little hearts on Sparkman and Avian's chests disappeared. They shook their heads, as if they were coming out of a trance.
"What was I thinking?" Avian clutched his head. "I didn't want to get married!"
"Oh boy…" Sparkman shook his head in despair. "Sparkwoman will never forgive me if she found out!"
The two HEROES looked at each other. "Guy pact: This never happened!" They said together.
"How about you two stop embarrassing me and most of all stop embarrassing Jaden and get your asses over here before I tell the entire deck about this!" Burstinatirx snapped as the flames around her raged even more.
"Too late for that I'm afraid." Yubel grinned wickedly, she wasn't about to let this slide and those two were in for a nasty surprise when this duel was over.
Both HEROES nodded and jumped back to Jaden's side of the field before disappearing.
"Much better." Jaden smiled and plucked a card from his hand. "I activate Polymerization! Fusing together Avian and Sparkman to create Elemental HERO Great Tornado!" A gale picked up around the field, almost blowing the Maiden away as the HERO appeared from the sky. (ATK: 2800/ DEF: 2200) "When he's Fusion Summoned to the field, he cuts the attack and defense of all monsters on your field in half!" The gale picked up for a few moments, cutting the Maiden's strength in half before dying out. (ATK: 1400-700/ DEF: 300-150)
"Since it won't be fair for Burstinatrix to let Great Tornado finish you off…" Jaden grinned. "So how about a combined attack? Go, HERO Combination: Flame Whirl!" Burstinatirx held up a ball of fire as Great Tornado began spinning above it, creating a whirlwind and absorbing the flame before launching himself for a devastating attack against Blair and her Maiden.
The Maiden screamed as she was engulfed by the flames, causing Blair to cover her face as the tornado ripped past her.

"And that's game!" Jaden said as he struck his pose.
Blair sighed and looked at him. "Alright, I guess I have to tell you my secret then..."
Jaden shook his head. "Nah, I already learned what I needed to know." He smiled and looked past her. "And I think our audience learned a lot as well."
Blair nervously and slowly turned around to see Zane and the others standing a short ways behind her. Zane also had a slightly annoyed look on his face due to the girls having fun teasing him.
"Sure did." Alexis smiled and looked at the older Truesdale. "Love is on her mind, Zane…"
"Zane!" Blair squeaked, blushing a little. "You're here… I guess you know now, I'm the one who snuck into your room." She lowered her head shyly. "I've been in love with you ever since I first met you."
"At the Nationals…" Zane nodded.
"That's right!" She lifted her head. "It was right after you won the Championship match, that's when I made a pledge that I would do anything to be with you!" She continued. "You said that if I trained really, really hard, I could get into Duel Academy, and I did it!" Blair smiled widely and held her arms out. "Now that I'm here, we can get married!"
Zane looked a little weirded out, while Jaden laughed. "That's a good one. You can have your honeymoon in the cafeteria and Doctor Crowler can give you away."
Blair looked at him. "I'm not joking..."
Jaden stopped and felt bad when he heard how serious she was.
Alexis smiled slightly at her. "Blair, sweetie, love doesn't work like that. You can't sneak your way into someone's heart." She gestured to her deck. "Just look what happened to your Maiden. She used tricks to get love and she ended up alone and in tears. You can't use spells and disguises to find your soulmate, Blair. You have to be honest and upfront with them." Her eyes suddenly and quickly darted to Jaden and back, but it didn't go unnoticed by Erina, who had a small grin on her face.
"Yeah right! You just want Zane for yourself!" Blair snapped, glaring at her. "You're just trying to get rid of me!"
Erina laughed lightly, Blair couldn't have been further from the truth.
Alexis smiled nervously and stepped back. "Zane, a little help, please?"
The Kaiser stepped forward. "Blair, as flattered as I am by your affections, right now I'm in love with only one thing; dueling."
"Dueling?" Blair asked as Zane took her hand and placed the hair clip she had lost in it.
"I'm sorry, but it's time for you to go home." He said, causing Blair to tear up.
"Hold on…" Jaden stepped forward. "Why does she have to go home? I mean she is a student here, right?"
"She has to go home, Jaden." Zane repeated. "If you want a reason as to why. It's because she's in the fifth grade."
"Say what!?" Jaden paled.
"Fifth grade?!" The others were just as shocked as Jaden was.
"You're telling me…" Jaden ruffled his hair. "That I almost got my ass kicked by an eleven year old?!"
Blair stuck out her tongue and smiled. "That's right! It was a really fun duel, Jaden."
The HERO duelist fell on his back and began to laugh hysterically. "This is why I love dueling so much! You encounter all kinds of unexpected people!" Yubel stood next to him and shook her head in amusement upon seeing him act like this, but she couldn't blame him, the news was quite shocking.
Erina knelt down next to him with a teasing grin on her face. "The great Jaden Yuki, the next King of Games… almost got beat by an eleven year old!" She mocked, laughing hysterically herself.
"Fuck off!" He tried to glare at her, but couldn't help but laugh at it all in the end.
The next day, the gang stood at the docks, watching Blair get on board and wishing her a safe trip home.
"Goodbye everyone!" She called out, waving at them. "I'll be back just as soon as I finish school!"
Jaden snorted and looked over his shoulder. "You hear that, Zane?"
"Oh please…" Zane scoffed. "I'll be long gone by the time that happens."
"True…" Jaden turned back as the boat set off. "I guess Blair's crush ends here, huh?"
Zane chuckled. "I wouldn't be so sure, Jaden…"
"Goodbye, Jaden, my sweet prince! I love you!" Blair yelled from the boat, causing Jaden to almost fall in the ocean when he heard that and Alexis to stare at the boat in shock.
"What?!" Jaden shrieked. "She's supposed to like Zane!" He turned to Alexis who was trying her hardest to suppress the frown that appeared after Blair's sudden declaration.
She gave him a very stiff smile. "She likes Zane, but apparently she loves you…" She forced out, feeling an overwhelming amount of jealousy and anger.
Zane chuckled over the fact that Alexis was jealous of an eleven year old. "Good luck with Blair in the future, Jaden." With that he walked away.
Syrus and Chumley started to follow him.
"Hey, Chumley, wanna go to the shack?" Syrus asked innocently. "I got some cards I wanna look for."
"Sure, I don't mind a grilled cheese right about now too." The large Slifer mumbled.
"Do me a favor, boys, and stay away from the girls in my deck." Alexis took off as well, not trusting herself around Jaden with the amount of jealousy inside her right now.
Erina just rolled her eyes at the blond's comment, amused at how poorly she was hiding it. 'At least I know now that she understands what I said to her.'
"I think I'm gonna hurl…"
She blinked and turned to see Jaden hunched over with a nauseous look on his face. She giggled and soothingly patted him on the back. "There, there, big guy… Look at the bright side! She won't be here to pester you with her unrequited love."
"Yeah…" Jaden breathed out, shaking off the shock. "Why does this place have to be so weird?"
Erina just shrugged in response. "Eh, it would be boring otherwise. Now come on…" She pulled him along, following after their friends. "I'll treat you to breakfast to make you feel better."
And now Blair is introduced. Honestly I have no idea why they made her a second grader in the dub, it makes it sooo much weirder, so I decided to go with the sub's age.
Next up is the copycat... it's gonna be a bit difficult since you know, Jaden is Yugi's kid, but I'll try my best!
