Bella cowered in fear when Edward burst through the doors and ripped the vampire James to pieces and went about trying to burn him. Meanwhile, Alice and Jasper burst in as the cavalry with Alice noting that she and Bella would be best friends. Bella ran away in the chaos. With a little luck, she found a car open with the keys inside. The car was electric. She floored it.

Bella was the daugther of a cop. She put all of her knowledge to good use and went underground and off the radar. In the meantime, the Cullens had finished with James when his mate Victoria and coven member Laurent. The two Cullens made short work of Victoria. Laurent surrendered, and the two spared him. They advised him of their Denali cousins in Alaska which he decided to to go visit. They realized that Bella had disappeared.

Edward had to admit that he couldn't read her mind. Alice admitted that she couldn't see Bella's future right now because she was staying in the moment and not making future decisions per se. Jasper noted that he would try to get Jenks to help. Meanwhile, Charlie got worried and wanted to launch a nationwide hunt.

Alice luckily saw and was able to get Carlisle and Jasper to talk him around. Charlie however had already made contact with the wolves. The wolves actually ended up tracking Bella down. They convinced Bella that Charlie had sent them. Bella spilled the beans, and that she wanted to expose the fact that vampires existed.

Sam in turn told Bella the truth about everything. It gave Bella some food for thought, and she was glad she had waited to expose the vampires. With the wolves, Bella felts safe enough to go home to Forks though instead of Phoenix. Charlie was just happy to have her home. Bella then set up a trap for the Cullens.

Edward though stayed away because Bella was his singer. He would read how everything went later when Jasper and Alice came back. Alice went first. She noted that Bella had figured she was psychic. Bella agreed and stated that she figured it out because Alice had exclaimed they would be friends when rescuing her.

That is how Bella knew there were good vampires out there and why she was methodical in what she did next. Jasper was surprised by how protective Bella felt of them but appreciated nonetheless. He would enjoy having her as a sister in the future per Alice's visions. Bella had lots of questions and quickly gathered all the nuggets of information she needed from Alice. From there she ingratiated herself to the rest of the Cullen family with the exception of Rosalie and Edward.

Edward was still going his own way whenever she was around. Bella gleefully sucked Carlisle dry of all the information regarding vampires that he had acquired over the centuries. Bella desperately wanted to bring Charlie in on everything but did not to keep him safe. Bella plan could simply be boiled down two steps. First, get worldwide protection for supernatural beings such as the yellow-eyed vampires, shapeshifters, and children of the moon. The second step was then to expose the red-eyed vampires for the lethal, predatory, species wiping out existiential threat that the vampires were.

Bella would need massive wealth and influence to do so. Therefore, she used Alice's friendship to do so. Alice was happy to help her become wealthy in Bella's own right since Bella would become a Cullen someday and should get used to being wealthy. Bella promptly began to steathility amass a fortune and power to go along with it to fulfill her plans. Along the way, Bella figured out that she could also use the wolves to block Alice's visions. She used that to her advantage.

Alice could not be hurt by what she didn't know especiallly with Aro still around. Bella though had relunctantly come to the conclusion that she would need to be turned, so that she would have the power necessary to counteract Aro and his most powerful gifts such as the witch twins Jane and Alec in addition to loyalty maker Chelsea and power tracker Demetri. Alice had already secured Carlisle and even Alice's help in being turned. Bella was now 17. She gave herself two years max to get everything ready before she would be turned, and it would be the perfect excuse to give her parents closure as well.

Bella though had not factored Edward into her plans at all. Edward however got wind of her plans. He tried to talk Carlisle out of the plan, but Carlisle saw Bella as a daughter. He noted that it was Bella's choice. Edward next tried to knock sense into Alice, but he was hit with a vision of a yellow-eyed Bella and himself being married instead.

Edward knew then that he would not be able to convince Alice. His only ally would have to be Rosalie if that. Finally, he knew that he would have to go to the source herself which is Bella. To do so, he figured that he would need to acclimatize himself to her scent. He studied Carlisle's control and realized that it was mind over matter.

Edward then used Alice's vision as a further barometer to see if his actions were working. Finally, he figured out how to have Jasper on standby far enough to not feel Edward's own bloodlust but close enough to use his empath powers. Edward now felt ready to meet Bella. Edward met with Bella and explained his concerns. Bella thought Edward was sweet, but she decided to stick to her plan.

She almost faltered when Edward unleashed the intensity of his eyes on her. Edward though saw a crack. He knew he could romance her per her reaction and Alice's vision. That was his in. He thought this triumphantly.

Bella, he instinctively knew would not appreciate his thinking. He buried the tiny squirm of guilt he felt and embarked on his tweaked plans. He asked Bella out on a date. Bella was suspicious and wanted to decline. She made the mistake of looking into Edward's eyes while doing so and ended up agreeing to go to a restaurant in Port Angeles with Edward the coming weekend.

Edward would pick her up at 8 and have her home by 10 at the latest. He was old-fashioned like that. Bella wanted to stay mad at him but found it hard to do so. Still, she stormed away in a huff. Her clumsiness kicked in, and she fell doing so. Luckily, Edward was there to catch her. Her dramatic exit ruined. Bella walked off.
