At age four Izuku Midoriya learned that not all people are created equal.

Ca- can even a quirkless person be-become a he- hero? He asked him.

Who might this person Midoriya be asking about a very important question?

It was no other than his idol, the number one hero, the one who would say his catchphrase whenever he had a chance, and the sole reason Midoriya is this rooftop. Standing several meters in front of him, in all of his glory and blonde hair is All Might.

However, why Midoriya is on this rooftop in the first place and confronting the number one hero. Of course, it's not like he can track him(even though he can do that) but due to All Might's speed catching him is nearly impossible. Unless… you can distract him enough. To backtrack what all led to this, let's rewind the time for a few minutes.

After saving him from the sludge villain, Izuku can still remember the awful taste of the tentacles of the villain trying to enter his mouth. After containing the villain inside two bottles of soda, All might bend his knees and begin preparing for a giant leap in order to leave the scene.

No, he can't let him leave at that moment. He had many questions for him. So in a genius moment, Izuku grabbed his legs. In his own opinion that decision is not very bright on his part. Opening his eyes, he found himself flying with his idol, clutching his muscly legs, trying not to die.

"I know that you are fanboy but this too much" All Might tried to pry Midoriya out of his legs "You need to let go"

"If I let go I will fall" he reasoned.

"Oh" All Might said, as if he had just had an epiphany.

"Boy, that just some dangerous thing that have you done"

"I- I know" he whimpers "But I need to ask you a question" he said looking down.

All Might look at him, scanning his figure. His glowing blue eyes peering holes at him. He took a sigh.

"Ask it, boy"

Midoriya raised his head "Ca- can even a quirkless person be-become a he- hero?"

"For the longest time that I can remember, I want to be like you, saving people with a smile, " he said "But ever since I've been diagnosed as quirkless, everyone started to pick on me. I already forgot if that was because of me or just because I am quirkless, So… " he trailed in his words.

"Can even a quirkless person like me can be a hero? "

He needs to hear it, even if all the people he knows said that he can't be a hero directly and indirectly said that he can't. He clung to his dreams, and when Kacchan(Katsuki Bakugou) burn his notebook and said that he should "swan dive out of the roof to get a quirk"

, he clung to his dream to be a hero. However, deep in his heart he was hurt why people didn't let him become a hero and why did that knock-off eggman doctor tell him that he can't be a hero. Just because he is powerless in the world where meta-powers exist who let them have the authority to say that he can't be a hero. So, here is asking the number one hero the question he asks his mother.

All Might looks at him with pity.

"No, " he said "I'm sorry but I don't think a quirkless people"

For the second time that day his heart broke. His own idol said that he can't be a hero. All Might was like the others, he doesn't believe that even a quirkless human can't be a hero.

"In this line of work, many accidents can happen. A pro is always laying his life in line. So, I just can't bring myself to tell you can do it even with a quirk" he bent his knees again trying to take off "It's nice to dream high but you need to think realistically. There are many jobs that can help people, you can be a doctor or police" he said before taking off.

He goddam knows that can be a hero, everyone and every second that people around him have a chance they will tell him that he can be a hero. They hurt him just because he was quirkless, what kind of people will do that and they even have the audacity to dream of being a hero if they can't even make the most powerless human in a room feel safe.

His heart felt hot, no it was not disappointment nor sadness however a passion to let those who did not believe him. In that moment, a fiery determination inside of Izuku Midoriya. He would make All Might that he can be a hero, even if it means he will go through hell ten times.

"huh?" He found himself standing in one barricade together with the other people watching a villain holding a hostage. "I think I unconsciously walk towards a fight"

His eyes widened and his body suddenly felt cold. He saw the slime villain again taking a hostage. Did just the villain slip out of All Might… Did he drop him!? In which case…

"It's my fault that… "

Murmurs of citizens, explosions, and shouts of the heroes of the scene filled the surroundings. However, those sounds just become a white noise. All of his attention is just focused in front, the sludge villain attacking another victim.

'It was all my fault… ' he felt his stomach acid climbing out of throat. Midoriya looked at his hands, and it was shaking. I' m sorry because of me someone is suffering. He hopes that someone, somebody will help him. A hero will soon come for him…

"why are the all heroes standing. " said by one of the bystanders

"The guy's got some middle schooler as a hostage. " said another.

'A middle schooler' focuses his eyes on the villain, there he sees it the middle schooler with a familiar spiky blond hair.

'Kacchan' he murmured.

They're eyes locked with each other, and in that instant Midoriya Izuku began running.

"You idiot!" death arms shouted at him "Stop! Stop!"

"This damn brat again [Deku!?] " both bakugou and sludge villain hissed.

However, even with all of the shout directed at him. Midoriya did not stop. He did not know why he was doing it, he had no plan, or why he was running. None of it matters, he needs to stop the villain.

'What do I do? What should I do? At a time like this' he keeps repeating in his mind. At that moment, his burned notes came to his mind.

'Page 25, the sludge villain' s only hard part, his eyes' Midoriya runs faster towards him, he lets go of his bag before throwing it in the face of the villain. It was just for a second but Izuku was able to reach him enough.

"Kacchan!"

"You! Why!? You"

"My legs move on their own. I don't know why either"

Why was here really? why would he risk his life to save his tormentor, his bully. He could just let the heroes do it. Is it really just because his legs move on his own? The answer to his question is very simple…

He could say any number of quips. But really…

"It's because your eyes were pleading for help."

The sludge regaining his focus shouted at him. He flinched, stepping back. Midoriya, even with his fear, steps forward again. He burrowed into the never ending sludge where Bakugou is trapped. Even when the tendrils keep prying him off, he keeps on moving forward.

On the sideline, the weaker form of All Might stands with the crowd watching the same scene of a lone middle schooler running towards the villain trying to save another student. But for All Might, this Middle Schooler is too familiar for him. The owner of those messy green hair, the child he said that can't be a hero.

His stomach dropped(If there's any left of it) dropped. He was so pathetic, he let the villain out of his pockets, and now it holds another victim. Just because of his time limit he can't help.

"I'm so pathetic" he berated himself

"St- Stop! "

"You wanna kill yourself? You'll die for nothing!" the heroes shouted at him.

Of course, Midoriya knows this. He was the weakest person, with his scrawny figure he knows that he can't defeat the Sludge Villain in a brawl. But if he can save a person and become a hero, he can prove All Might wrong.

The villain finally got hold of his hands, and without wasting any more time engulfed his body. As everything keeps slowing down and his vision going dark. He heard his idol's voice.

"I told you something that I nearly didn't practice" All Might held firm his forearm, pulling him out of the villain.

"A pro will always put his life on the line!" All Might pulled his arms backward, before sending a massive punch

DETROIT SMAAAAAAASH!

A strong gust of wind enveloped the surroundings, sending the sludge villain away in pieces. Multiple people have also fallen on their back on how powerful the punch All Might has given.

"... Rain"

"Unbelievable, did he just sent them in the stratosphere with just wind pressure"

"Don't tell me… " the civilian trailer over his words "He altered the weather with a single right wing" he shouted.

The civilians roared in happiness. Subsequently, after All Might dealt with the villain , other heroes began collecting the bits of the Sludge villain and started clearing the area.

All the heroes got angry at him.

"You had no absolutely no reason to rush headlong into danger like that!" Death arms reprimanded him

Meanwhile, Bakugou got nothing but praise.

"Your a tough customer with a good quirk"

"Once you can become a hero you can become my sidekick"

All of them praise him, but his face tells another story.

"I want to apologize to All Might, At least. But where did he go?"

When it's time to go home, Midoriya instead of finally going home gets confronted once again. By the person he just didn't want to meet again that day.

"Deku! " Bakugou scowled at him "I never asked for you to saved me… "

He was shocked by him.

"In fact, You did not save me… I did it all alone. I don't owe you anything" his teeth grinded, and his eyes getting more red "I won't let a quirkless worthless like you to look down at me. Do not dare to look down further at me. You can't be a hero" he turned his back before saying "You shetty goddamn nerd"

What did Izuku just do to deserve this kind of treatment? Of course, Bakugou didn't need to say that he can't be a hero, he heard it enough times that he felt sick just by hearing that phrase. However, Bakugou is wrong…

He looks down and clenches his right fist, before looking forward towards the horizon where the sun slowly goes down.

"I will become a hero"

But first he needed to train.
