I probably wont have another chapter out in a couple days so yea.
Currently I'm sitting down at a table in the kitchen eating breakfast with a small smile, while internally fuming.
'Not only is the debuff permanent but it also blocks the use of speaking telepathically.'
With a sigh I go back to eating the eggs and bacon that Ria made.
Glancing up I see that me and Greg are the only ones eating the eggs and bacon while Ria is enjoying her own bowl of lettuce and carrots.
'Must have to be a vegetarian because of her faunus heritage.'
I keep eating while occasionally listening into the conversation that Ria and Greg are having.
Finishing my food I realize something.
I'm Level 8 now so I should be able to open the shop.
'Shop'
Shop:
Where you can go to buy and sell anything to other Gamers from all across the multiverse.
Shop Token Balance: 0
Rereading the description I pale.
'Hey Game, no other Gamers can come to my world right?'
Correct! Entering another Gamers Multiverse is strictly prohibited and will result in the loss of all powers and abilities.
Letting out a deep sigh of relief I realize that Ria is looking at me with concern.
'Probably because I just went paler than a fucking Schnee.'
I just look at her with a smile as she goes back to her conversation with Greg.
Looking back to the screen in front of me I realize that I have no Shop Tokens.
'Hey Game how am I supposed to get tokens for the shop?'
Lien and other forms of currency can be converted into Shop Tokens and dropped loot can be sold for Shop Tokens.
'Inventory'

Yes/No
'Yes'
Huh that was worth a lot more than I thought it would be.
'Game how much does it cost to buy the Kage Bunshin No Jutsu?'
The Kage Bunshin No Jutsu skill book is currently being sold for 20,000 Shop tokens.
'That is… a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Hey game, how much is 1 Lien worth in Shop Tokens.'
Lien has a 1:1 conversion rate into Shop Tokens.
'Huh so with a few hours of grinding I should be able to get Kage Bunshins to stay in the real world for me while I grind in an ID.'
Closing the Shop I watch Ria get up and start cleaning up the table.
Piling my plate and silverware together I hand them to her and plop out of my chair.
I hear her start speaking as she puts the dishes in the sink.
"So what do you want to do today in town today Neon?"
I go to grab my notebook only to realize a problem.
'Ah shit it's in my inventory.'
She turns around to look at me and realizes that I don't have my notebook.
"Ah did you leave it upstairs?"
With a nod I watch as she smiles and starts speaking again.
"Well why don't you run upstairs and grab it."
With another nod I start walking out of the kitchen and back up the stairs. Reaching the top I walk a bit further, open the guest room door and then just pull the notebook and pencil out of my inventory.
'I don't know how good her hearing is but I don't want her to notice the door not opening to the room.'
With a sigh I turn around and start walking back down the hallway.
Halfway down the hallway I can hear Ria and Greg talking so I of course decide to try and listen in.
Only to barely be able to hear what they are saying.
But with a quick use of mana I should be able to up my hearing a bit.
A Skill Has Been Created Through A Specific Action:
Amplified Hearing: (Active) (Level 1: 0.0%) (Cost: 2 MP Per Minute)
Use the power of magic to amplify your hearing.
150% better hearing.
Ah that's better. And with that I start listening in again.
I hear Greg sigh "Look Ria I know that you don't want to leave the kid at an orphanage but we just don't have enough money right now to be able to raise a kid."
"I know that but I don't want him to grow up with no parents at all."
'Hm guess I was right about being sent to an orphanage.'
And with that I start walking down the stairs and into the kitchen.
I see Ria looking at me with a small smile and sadness in her eyes.
Then she sighs and forces on a small smile.
"So Neon, what do you want to do today."
Flipping open the notebook I start writing "Can we go to the library?"
Turning it around so she can read it and I watch her turn to Greg with a grin.
+5 Affection with Ria Homester
"At least someone else in this house can respect the company of a good book."
Greg just shakes his head with a sigh.
"Oh god there are two of them now."
With that Ria turns back to me with a smile and says.
"Yes we can go to the library. I have a couple books I need to return anyway."
And with one last thought we start heading out to the library.
'The highest Intelligence stat I've seen so far was 25 and that was from Alex, that gate guard, so I wonder what I can do with my own 60 Intelligence.'
It turns out that you can do A LOT with that high of an Intelligence stat.
The library itself is HUGE and has every book I could think of.
The first thing that happened was Ria went up to the desk and started the return process on her books and then started chatting with one of the librarians.
While she was doing that I wrote a note asking one of the three old librarians at the desk if they had any books on sign language.
At first she looked at me kinda funny not really believing that a child would want to learn anything from them.
But eventually she led me around the library and to a shelf that was filled with fifteen books that were only about sign language, a couple of which were a few hundred pages long.
At first she just handed me a small one that looked like it was made for a kid to read. It took me not even a minute to finish it and hand it back to her.
And of course when I finished it I got a new skill
Sign Language: (Active) (Level 3: 54.23%) (Cost: None)
Learning a new language is hard, but it's even harder to learn a language that's never been spoken before! Gain the ability to use sign language with your knowledge of it corresponding to your level.
That small book didn't give me very much to learn, only a few basic words and sentences. And I guess she didn't believe that an 8 year old could read that fast so she tried to quiz me.
I wasn't all too surprised that she knew sign language because she has pretty good stats herself.
Margott Robin
Race: Human
Level: 5
50/50 HP
N/A MP
N/A Aura
Strength: 10 (7)
Dexterity: 13 (5)
Vitality: 15 (10)
Intelligence: 40 (52)
Wisdom: 30 (43)
Charisma: 13 (8)
Luck: 5
The highest Intelligence I've seen so far besides myself and a Wisdom stat that's higher than my own.
Intelligence: 60
Wisdom: 40
I guess wisdom really does come with age.
Anyways I passed her little test which she seemed surprised about so she handed me another book. This one roughly three times thicker and with a lot more to learn in it than the other.
This one took me around a minute and a half to finish and caused my sign language skill to level up a lot more than the last book.
Sign Language: (Active) (Level 16: 32.95%) (Cost: None)
Learning a new language is hard, but it's even harder to learn a language that's never been spoken before! Gain the ability to use sign language with your knowledge of it corresponding to your level.
She waited patiently for me to finish the book and when I handed it back to her she started up her quiz again.
I passed again with flying colors so she handed me another book.
This went on for around ten minutes with my skill rising up in the eighties when she handed me the last book.
This book was 468 pages long so I sat back down in the same spot I had been sitting in for the past five minutes.
It took me around eight minutes for me to finish that book and with that final book my skill maxed out.
Sign Language: (Active) (Level MAX) (Cost: None)
Learning a new language is hard, but it's even harder to learn a language that's never been spoken before! Gain the ability to use sign language with your knowledge of it corresponding to your level.
And that leads us back to the present.
I stand back up and hand her the last book. And start signing to her "Do I have to pass another test for this book as well or can I start heading over to the dust and aura section?"
+30 Reputation with Margott Robin.
I watch her face morph to shock as she sighs "No I guess there's not any point to doing that. You said you wanted to learn about aura right?"
With a nod she sighs again.
"Well come on child I'll show you where the Dust and Aura section is."
Following her through a couple sections we eventually reach the Dust and Aura section.
I watch as she turns around and looks at me.
"These three shelves have every book on aura and dust in the library. Also I guess I never asked but what's your name child?"
Looking up to her I smile and sign "Names Neon. Neon Pearl."
I watch her develop a smile "Well little Neon how old are you?"
"I am nine years old."
"Well you're quite smart for that age so don't let that go to waste. Now there are a few desks just around the corner if you want to sit down there instead of on the floor."
With another sigh she says "Well I better get back to work just come back up to the front and ask for Margott and I'll answer any questions you have."
I watch as she turns around and walks down the aisle and out of my sight.
Turning back to the bookcases I start picking out every book that I can on aura.
With around eight books in hand I turn and head to a desk.
Sitting down with a sigh I start to think.
'I have until sometime this afternoon until the hunter search party is supposed to be back. I hope I can find a way to unlock my aura by myself before then.'
And with that I start reading.
I wasn't able to find very much on how to unlock it.
I read every single book in this library about aura and all there was about unlocking one's aura was deep meditation or having someone with aura unlock it for you.
There are a few cases where aura can be unlocked in a life or death situation but those were too rare and too risky for me to be willing to try.
So I decided to go with the first option of trying to meditate until I could find anything.
With a sigh I sit down on the library floor, get into a basic meditation position, and start looking for my aura.
Ping!
Opening my eyes I look at the screen in front of me.
Meditation: (Passive/Active) (Level 1: 13.43%) (Cost: None)
Clear your mind and focus on regenerating your power. Increases MPR regen by 50% when active and 5% when inactive. Increases APR regen by 100% when active and 15% when inactive.
'Not exactly what I was hoping for but still nice.'
Closing my eyes again I start trying to feel for any energy in myself.
I found my mana in the first thirty seconds but that's not hard as it's used in almost all of my current abilities.
With a sigh I try digging down past my mana and searching deeper inside my body.
I don't know how long I was sitting there hearing the occasional ping from what I assume is my meditation skill leveling up, when I found it.
'It feels almost like mana but… more solid and denser… and it feels warm.'
Slowly at first I start tugging it to the surface.
But as soon the bare minimum amount reached my skin it just started flooding out.
*Crack*
Ping!
I open my eyes and look at the screen in front of me.
Aura: (Active/Passive) (Level 1: 0.0%) (Cost: 50 Aura Per Minute)
Use the power of your soul to protect yourself, allowing your Aura to take damage as a substitute for Health, gain a +75% boost to Strength and Dexterity. When active your Aura boosts HPR by 200% and the time taken to regenerate health is cut in half. Passively increases HPR by 10% and Strength and Dexterity by 5%.
Semblance will be gained when Aura skill reaches level 75.
Turning off the skill I reread the window just to make sure its not fucking with me.
'The boost to strength and dexterity are already fucking crazy, but the HPR increase is just insane, and with half the regeneration time as well?'
This is easily one of the strongest abilities that I have right now.
And that's even factoring in the fact that its level fucking ONE.
'But this does raise up a problem. I might be meeting with a huntsmen in a bit and I'm pretty damn sure that they'll be able to tell that I have my aura unlocked.'
Closing my eyes again I start trying to draw my aura as close to myself as possible.
Ping!
Opening my eyes I see the fruits of my effort.
Suppress Mana/Aura: (Active) (Level 1: 0.0%) (Cost: None)
Allows you to suppress your Aura down to where it eventually seems locked. Allows you to suppress your Mana down to the point to where it seems like you have none at all.
'No cost? I don't think I'm going to ever not be using this skill.'
Dismissing the window I look through the rest of the pop-ups that I got.
Meditation has leveled up! x24
Wut.
How long was I sitting there for?
Opening up the window I look at my skill.
Meditation: (Passive/Active) (Level 25: 30.18%) (Cost: None)
Clear your mind and focus on regenerating your power. Increases MPR regen by 150% when active and 15% when inactive. Increases APR regen by 250% when active and 30% when inactive.
'Huh… I should be able to keep my aura up indefinitely as long as I'm meditating. I wonder if I can use telekinesis while I'm meditating as well.'
Suppress Mana/Aura has Leveled up! x1
That's gonna be annoying.
'Hey Game can you turn off notifications for Suppress Mana/Aura level ups?'
Notifications for Suppress Mana/Aura have been muted.
'Thanks.'
Closing my eyes I try to activate Meditation and PSI Sense at the same time.
I can tell that PSI Sense is up and it seems like I am not losing any mana.
Deactivating both skills I open my eyes and stand up just in time for Ria to walk around the corner.
With a heavy sigh she looks down at me with a grim smile.
"The huntsmen party returned… and they weren't able to find anyone."
Time to put that acting skill to use.
Running over to her I start crying.
"Shh.. shh.. it'll be fine, they are in a better place now."
Acting has leveled up! x2
'Huh that was worth two levels? Hell yea.'
Walking out of the library while holding Ria's hand I try to look as dead inside as I could.
'I didn't get any more levels in acting, that kinda sucks.'
I turn towards her as I feel her crouching down.
"Look over there it's one of the huntsmen, do you want to go talk to him?"
Ignoring her shitty attempt to get me to get my mind off my fake dead parents by asking if I want to go over to meet one of the people who couldn't even find them, I follow her finger and look at who she's pointing at.
Following her finger I see someone who I didn't expect to meet and who quite frankly I don't want to meet right now.

I turn back to her and slowly shake my head with as sad of a look as I can muster as much sadness on my face as humanly possible.
She sighs "well if you do ever want to talk to him he doesn't live too far outside of the town."
Ah shit that's not good.
'Not only is he here but lives close to town. Great, I might just end up meeting Ruby or Yang at this rate.'
I watch her stand back up "Well let's take you to a new house that you can live in. It's got only a couple other kids living there right now so I think you'll feel right at home."
'You can just say 'orphanage' god damn.'
And with that we start heading to the orphanage.
It doesn't take us long to get there. Thankfully, it's not even a mile from the library.
'I still need to read up on dust and how the fuck it works.'
Looking at the orphanage it seems to be made out of solid brick and looks more like a school than anything.
Walking through the door I start looking around while Ria talks to the girl at the counter.
Even the inside of the place looks like a school.
It's got rows of lockers, rooms with what look like teachers' names on the top of them, and even the tiled floor to go with it.
Turning back to the counter lady and Ria as they finish up there conversation.
The counter lady looks to be somewhere in her mid twenties with light gray hair and eyes with a pair of glasses sitting on the bridge of her nose.
'Calling her counter lady is kinda annoying.'

I turn back to Martha as she stands up.
"Well let's get you all situated in."
As we start walking I notice the giant fluffy silver fox tail that she has.
Still walking she says over her shoulder "And don't worry about your little speech problem, many of the employees here know sign language and would be more than willing to teach you. We even have another student currently learning sign language."
Running up in front of her I start signing to her "I already know sign language so don't worry about that. Is this place a school or something?"
I see her look down at me with a smile.
"Yes you are correct. The bottom two floors are meant for schooling and the third floor has bedding and bathrooms for you and the others to use."
Falling back in step with her she shows me around the first two floors and then we eventually reach the third floor.
Turning to me she starts speaking again "The third floor only has 4 rooms with two beds in each room. Most of the floor is taken up as storage, the gym, and showers. Currently we only have one bed left so that is where you will be residing."
Turning we start walking down the hall and stop in front of a door with the room number '43'.
Martha looks down at me with a small smile.
"This is the room that you will be staying in for the remainder of your time here. Your roommate has the same vocal problem as you so maybe you can teach her some sign language before summer ends.
With that she opens my door and I walk in.
Turning to look around I see a small spartanish room with two beds lining the wall and a desk facing the wall in between them and sitting at the desk is a little girl who looks to be around the same age as me and who I'm damn sure should not be here.
