The Lonely Silver
Prologue (The First Year At School part 1):
Rated M for mutilation!
WOOOOOOOO!
T'was a quiet evening in outer Vale. And on a particular street in outer Vale, was two people, a little girl cloaked in red, and the wolf in his tattered white wool stalking her. Muttering this and that, she chirped excitedly to no one, oblivious to the danger she faced. And so the hunter in the white hoodie went forward to meet his prey.
Forwards.
And forwards.
And forward-
"OW! You pushed me!" cried his target. The predator knew he could not stay. So he sped off, her wallet in han-
"WAIT. THAT'S MY WALLET!" And so he ran into the alleyway, confident he could shake-
The predator was tackled from behind, the impact shaking his hood off to reveal a faunus with dirty silver hair and wolf ears. He managed to spin around to see his target with his piercing, brown eyes, a young girl who couldn't be any older than twelve, grab his arms, pinning him down and snatching what was to be the spoils of the battle about to commence-
"Hey! Didn't you ever learn that it's rude to take what isn't yours?" The girl in the red cloak demanded.
"Well kid-" The deadly monster began,
"You can't be older than me by more than like, one year!"
"I'M STILL OLDER THAN YOU!"
"IT ONLY COUNTS IF YOU ARE TWO YEARS OLDER THAN ME!" The girl shouted, making the faunus kid groan. He tried to struggle against the grip of his failed mark, but she was without a doubt stronger than him.
Time to use his best trick. "I'm a homeless orphan, okay! If I don't take what isn't mine, then what do I have!?" The kid shouted. All fell before the mighty orphan card.
That made the girl pause, "Uh, w-well, you could always…" she trailed off in thought. He sensed a weak spot, so with practiced ease, he flattened his ears down and put a distressed look on his face, letting out a whine.
Indeed, the infamous puppy dog eyes, and no one was truly a master of this art quite like he was. He had perfected this technique over the years, for once his wolf faunus traits being of actual use-
It worked too well.
The girl broke into deep sobs, letting his arms go to hug him. "I-I-IT'S GUH-GUH-GOING TO BE FINEGN!"
"LET ME GO!" the thief cried out, fully regretting his mistake, "HELP!"
His cries were heard by none, no one came to help him, he was left to his eternal punishment. The girl in the red cloak clinged to him tighter than a parasite, sobbing into his hoodie. Her tears were soaking his shoulder and what wasn't absorbed spilled down onto the pavement. The hugging was kind of nice though, it had been so long-
Fortunately before he started joining in, her tears stopped and she let go and got back up, "S-sorry. Th-that was kinda embarrassing…"
No. Really?
"Uh, yeah. Sorry about trying to steal your wallet, I'm gonna go," he got up, "Far away from here…"
"Wait!" she cried out opening her rose patterned wallet, it actually looked pretty cool looking at it-
"Here! Take it! Please!" She cried out, handing him some lien. He quickly grabbed it and left. With luck, he hoped he would never see her again.
This is my first story on this site, started this as an exercise to help my skills, picked up a strange addiction to seeing the number of people find this story expand. The more people find this story, the more I expand. And the more I expand, the tighter my pants get. :( Why do my peepee hurt?
I have the story planned out until the fall of Beacon. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there, but I do not want to leave this story until the end. Not sure where that is, but if my speed at writing is any indication, probably my whole life.
I was gonna consolidate it all, but the story flows far better as is.
EDIT: On a whim, added back the M for mutilation because it's funny. And I like funny.
EDIT 2: Brevity is the soul of wit.
EDIT 3: MAMA MAY HAVE RAISED A BITCH, BUT EVEN THIS ONE KNOWS WHEN TO LET GO OF THE T.
