Rest of the chapter before has been written out! WOOOOOO!

NOT CANON TO THE STORYLINE!

"Hey Mom… So uh… I kinda want to introduce you to our newest family member." Ruby took a deep breath of the cold air. "Wynion this is Summer Rose, my mom. Mom, meet Wynion." Ruby desperately tried not to cry, because Wynion would tell her to be strong, to be the hero she wanted to be so badly.

"I kind of wish I was doing this under different circumstances, both of you here together to meet each other, but no sense in crying about that, yeah? Right…" Ruby fell to her knees, leaning against her mother's grave marker.

She couldn't do it anymore. She couldn't hold back the tears.

"B- Bad… sniff… Bad things h-h-h-haa… Bad things happened at school." She looked up at Wynion, "Don't you dare say not to cry over the people we have lost… I know you would do the same thing if it was you…" She allowed herself a momentary melancholic moment of triumph.

"There was… I don't like thinking about it, maybe Wynion can fill you in…" She looked over to her side at the silent faunus. "Anyways… Bad stuff happened at school… Team RWBY kinda got… Separated. Weiss is in Atlas, who knows about Blake, and Yang… She's going through a lot. But if anyone can make it through this, it's her."

Ruby sighed, "I came here to say bye, I won't be able to visit again for a while. There's stuff I have to do, and I kinda have to travel for it."

"So uh… You are probably curious about our newest family member. His name's Wynnie- uh Wynion. I just like to call him Wynnie." She leaned forward, "Wynnie, you tell her anything about my cookie rampage phase, and you will regret the consequences."

The red-clad reaper got to her feet. She looked down at her feet despondently, "It wasn't easy… but I managed to convince dad to do this." Ruby wiped a tear from her cheek, "I want to see you again so badly… To pet your ears one last time… To hug you and eat cookies together one last time. To force you into another conversation about weapons one last time. To cry and hug each other and to see you again and to have you be so annoying and steal my stuff and chase you around the room until you gave me that look and… And…"

Ruby couldn't help the sobbing. She couldn't stop. She just wanted it to stop…

"I… I love you. Both of you… See you later…"

Ruby Rose turned away from the two of the most important people in her life and began the long walk back to where her friends were. She promised herself, no one else would die. Not ever again.

Behind her lay the two tombstones. The first one had lain there for years, one Ruby knew so well. The second one was recent, one Ruby wished she would never ever see.

What did that second tombstone read?

Well, if you must know…

Wynion Rose

Our Beloved Silver Rose

YO! CHILL! IT AIN'T CANON! I REPEAT! SHIT AIN'T CANON! STOP!

Sorry, I had that scenario in my head for the longest time. It isn't quite as elegantly written out as I wanted this all to be, but it mostly works. To respond to your comment about the previous chapter, yes it is kinda short, because it is unfinished. I'm planning on one Combat Class sesh in that chapter. I've had writers block on that stuff, but I finally figured it out and wrote out the scenario! IT WORKS!

I've also decided to employ a system I really should have from the start. What is it you may ask? Well, introducing...

THE CHAPTER UPDATE NOTES! (CUN)

Not exactly the greatest name (Someone come up with a way to add a "t" to the end of that acronym, stat!), I know, but what it does is that it tells people what I have updated since I have published the most recent chapter. So let's get into it:

1). I have half written out the scene where Qrow and Wynion meet at the behest of the headmaster to look out for him this time (Chapter is Pinky Swear). I know the person who wants these moments the most is me... But the person who gets to write the sessions Wynion and Ozpin have is me, the author. WOOOOO!

2). Not exactly recent, but I don't know if many of you have looked at the Weiss scene I finished on Pinky Swear. If you haven't... It's okay not to. The very end of it is the product of a man who has an idea, but employs it half-baked. :( However, the rest of that scene is pretty Weiss.

3). I'm writing the combat class chapter right now, hopefully, I don't do the same thing I always do and put off an update to a chapter till tomorrow when I promise the evening of. Well! I promise I'll deliver it tonight (We'll see...). Already updated some of Blake's POV into it.

Anyways, there are some things I want to dump here, but I will say one thing;
It contain's spoilers, and for once I won't judge you for skipping em. These kind of spoilers are a bit detail heavy, and detail heavy enough that it actually could spoil some fun. But I put them down here because I hope someone has a suggestion to improve it. I have created what I call, "Friendship Events". They are... Well, look:

SPOILERS (I won't judge you for being a scaredy-cat, just know that even if I don't judge you in this instance, you still are one):

Nora: Wynion pisses off Ruby. He broods, Nora talks with him, ends with an invitation to pancakes.

Ren: Comes naturally as progression after Nora. He interacts and gradually builds up some comradery. I need to write more Ren, just that there is even less material to work with as a whole about him than Blake before the White Fang events at Beacon.

Jaune: They talk about why they are in the academy. When Wynion and Jaune talk, they'll be talking about the fact that they don't want to be the weak links, or the damsels. They want to be the hero for once.

Weiss and Pyrrha: The three get drunk together and have a talk about loneliness (Maybe that starts the Nora event? Have him sleep with or i don't know, do something drunkenly that makes Ruby mad? Make them unofficial friends maybe?) CHAPTER NAME: THE LONELIEST! WOOOOO! (I won't start the Norra event from this, now that I've thought of it).

Yang: Forces Wynion to spend time with her so she can get to know the faunus.

Blake: They hang out while Blake is in a good mood? I dunno, Wynion would be a bit wary of the fact that she is a). Supportive of his faunus side while being b). Not Ruby.

Ruby (Not as friendship dum-dum, progression after friendship): Stereotypical marker for the event time would be at the dance, for good reason too. I might have them together before that. I'm not fond of the trope where the love intrests aren't together for a rediculous reason because it always feels stupid and a waste of time. However, considering how Wynnie is shaping up to be, I doubt he would feel "worthy" of her love or something, so he might put up a little resistance. It wouldn't be for a full arc in the story though. Maybe during school break or something?

Huh, wasn't as bad as I thought, maybe I should be judging people for skipping this... Ah well, what's done is done.
