I am going to be making a seperate story entirely for my thoughts and ideas about the characters and events for this story. I'm not making another 500 word A/N that is only tangentially connected to the story again.
Anyways, done with this chapter! Working on the next...
"What happened?"
"I'm fine…"
"Blake said you got bullied by a group of students-"
"-I hurt them worse than they hurt me!"
"THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M WORRIED ABOUT!"
Yang removed her ear from the door and looked back at Blake with a raised eyebrow.
Blake just stared right back, "Yes."
"PEOPLE ARE HURTING YOU! NO- STOP. DON'T SAY THAT! EVEN YOU ARE HURTING YOU! YOU DON'T EVEN REALLY SLEEP…"
As Ruby's voice fell, the blonde pressed her ear back into the hair of her younger sister to see…
"Yang… hhhgh… Help me drag him to bed…" The door had been opened. Crescent Rose was unfurled and on the ground of Team RWBY's dorm room, and Ruby was dragging an unconscious boy with silver hair…
"Ruby the metaphor, 'put to sleep' when it comes to concussions is just a metaphor. Head trauma can be deadly." Blake commented, making Ruby's face go Weiss.
For the 672,238th time, Yang wished she could turn off that part of her brain.
After Wynion broke down, Ruby had managed to calm and guide him back to team RWBY's dorm. Yang and her partner were eavesdropping on the two, while Weiss felt it was prudent to give them privacy. Team JNPR was behind the door of their own dorm room, watching.
"O-oh… Well that's bad…" Ruby mumbled.
"Aura should be enough to help him recover, don't worry!" Yang hurriedly reassured her.
It seemed to work as Ruby grew more cheerful, "Yeah! Just like you did when you unlocked your aur-"
"Ruby?" Yang's voice hung heavy, "I love you, but shut the fuck up."
"Okay sis!" She chirped back, dragging her friend's body down the hall.
"Ugh, let me help so we can get back to focusing on more important things than both of your mistakes." Weiss groaned.
"Yang, can we do the party tomorrow instead?" Blake asked passively.
"YES!" Yang cheered, "It'll give me enough time to get some divine nectar!"
"Uh, nectar?" Jaune asked, walking out with a squeak.
"Hey! What are you all still doing there? Shoo! This party's over! I'm off to prepare for the next!" Yang motioned at them to scram as she skipped down to the docks.
It was exhausting playing responsible and restrained. The time to relax owed to her was long overdue. The universe had to give her this, at least.
He awoke with a minor headache to the early morning sunlight. With a slight groan, he got out of bed and dragged himself to his wardrobe. It was nice to have a room all to himself, but it was too spacious at times. After all, the rooms were made for a team of four, not a single orphan. Wynion stretched and got dressed, putting on the still unfamiliar clothes of a Beacon studen-
He looked up at the clock on the wall: 7:34 was the time it read off. Ozpin was up by now and expecting him. The orphan carefully opened and closed the door to his room, not wanting to accidentally wake someone like a particular redhead with a red cloak.
He made it out the building successfully, and made his way to the clock tower. It was a cloudy day, but for some reason, he didn't see anyone at all. Usually, there would be one or two students straggling about to get an early start, but not today. He reached the elevator and pressed the button to the top floor.
He was improving. Wynion could fight at the level of a somewhat competent hunter in training, though it was only approaching the level of Ruby and the other students at the school. It wasn't enough though. He needed to catch up, his magic was the only edge he truly had. If he could figure out his semblance, maybe he wouldn't-
"-Are you going to keep standing there or did you go to the wrong floor?" Ozpin's voice shook him out of his thoughts as the elevator door embarrassingly closed on him automatically. Wynion manually opened the elevator door and stepped out.
"Ah, fuck… My thoughts ran away from me." He sighed.
Ozpin snorted in amusement and took a sip from his mug, "So what brings you up here today?"
"Training session, remember?"
"Ah yes, I forgot to message you," Ozpin steepled his fingers from where he sat at his desk, "We don't have the session today."
"Huh, why not?" The student asked.
"I wasn't able to tell you this face-to-face since you haven't been able to come to the sessions for the past two days," Wynion kept his face neutral, "But we don't do training on Saturdays."
"What? Saturday?"
"Yes, today is Saturday. But we do have a four hour session scheduled on Sundays, starting from 9:00 AM." Wynion opened his mouth only to have the headmaster cut him off, "And before you ask, no we cannot schedule a session today, I have paperwork to do."
The thief stared at the headmaster in silence, before sighing and heading to the elevator.
"Before you go," Ozpin stopped him, "Is there anything you want to tell me? Did anything happen yesterday or the day before? Perhaps an altercation with some students?"
Wynion responded with a shrug, "I wouldn't know about anything happening, you're talking to the wrong person." The professor regarded him with regarded him with a calculating look, before relenting.
"That's fine, just remember that it is-"
"-Up to you to take the first fucking step, yeah I know." Wynion strolled into the open elevator doors, punching the button to descend to the first floor.
Blake has a lot to explain…
Wynion exited the elevator, proceeding to walk out of the lobby it was encased in. He had a new mission, to find-
"Helloooo! What a beautiful day to go out to shop! Hey, be a good boy and carry this would you?"
"You need to do more than hide everything. Nail it down. NAIL IT DOWN! Nail down even your pencils to the table if you still like them." Ruby advised Weiss, "Sew them to your body if you run out of space, Wynnie is going to target you the most."
"What about Nora? She's even worse than him, who knows how much of the room will be usable by the end of the night?" Blake flitted her eyes around the room worriedly.
"Yes, do we really have to host this in our dorm? Why not in Team JNPR's or the faunus's room?" Weiss groaned as she did her best to hide her valuables away, as Blake gave her a scathing glare. "What?" Weiss asked her teammate indignantly.
"It's 'Wynion', not 'faunus'."
"And?"
"Weiss!" Ruby cut in, "We can't do JNPR's because there is less floor space in their dorm than ours. But we can't do Wynnie's room because if there is one thing Yang has taught me, you never go into the lair of a dragon with the beast there too."
Outside, they heard a familiar cry for help, "Let go of me you bi-"
"Someone called?" Yang burst into the room, "Thank you! I'll take this back." She cheerfully yanked a suitcase out of the hands of a struggling person, causing that captive to be pulled into the dorm with her revealed as Wynion.
"I hate you so much-!"
"Hey Ruby! He's your problem to watch now!" Yang pushed the faunus towards her younger sister.
"Why am I being singled out for babysitting?" Wynion protested as he stumbled towards his friend.
He didn't resist as Ruby rummaged through his pockets, retrieving Yang's wallet and tossing it back to her. "It's your fault for stealing everything you're around." Ruby replied, pulling him out of the room by the arm.
Yang knocked at their neighbor's door, "Hey JNPR! Party's almost ready, so you guys better get ready too!"
The last thing Ruby heard after leading Wynion to his room was Yang's cheer.
"Let's make our first ever party the best fucking first party ever!"
Getting myself back in order is pretty hard... :(
Anyways, the chapter is unfinished, blah, blah, blah.
CUN:
1) Only thing to report is that I fixed some of the end of Fight and Party!
Ayyy... Arclight! Yes, you are correct. Wynion does not have an actual semblance yet, though I figured out what it should be. It'll be unlocked probably during the Mt. Glenn event.
Spoilers! His semblance:
Devour
Has the ability to "eat" anything, and can consume the energy.
He fucking turns shit into dust and ash and absorbs it. Yep, big bad wolf. Yep, I stole it from the poem I made. I don't give a shit.
Is only able to consume the amount of energy equal to the own he naturally possesses. Cannot overextend. In other words, he is able to absorb a fixed amount of matter per day, or week. I don't know yet.
Okay, so every time I try and think about a way to figure out ways to write the characters, my perception of them alter dramatically. I've finally figured out a way to write all characters so far.
And I've discovered something interesting, those children are a bunch of needy little shits. I would fit right in with them.
Ren was so difficult to figure out, until I had a realisation. He is just as dependent on Nora as she is on him. He is just so stoic about it is all.
Blake is future mama material. I mean it. Above all, she displays a consistant desire to protect. Whether it be her comrades or her friends, or the person she just met, she protects.
As for Yang, people tend to write her as a big sister always or a bitter, angry, gal on a short hair trigger. I was gonna write her the same, but then I found an interesting video.
You see, I'm what you call a degenerate, and I found an asmr roleplay video. It was about a flirty coffee barista flirting with listener... blah blah blah... Not important. What was important, was how she was portrayed. She was portrayed to be some adorable (I feel even more disgusting for using that word) girl who used terrible puns in an attempt to catch the listner to go on a date with her. SO! I then thought, "Wait, this is Yang if she wasn't traumatised. Shit, wait. I've been writing her as either someone who holds a grudge or as a big sister. I forgot her personality."
New plan then, we writing Yang to be a party girl. Y'know Slaanesh? Yang is never gonna be Slaanesh material, but she will follow the principles to a minor degree of it's followers. She is someone who does everything to the fullest. Emotions, responsibilities, alcohol. She tries her best to be the best, and does it excessively. And she keeps failing. And everything falls apart. AND OH GOD THIS IS WAY TOO LONG. YEP! I'M MAKING THAT OTHER STORY TO KEEP MY THOUGHTS FROM GETTING AWAY FROM ME.
