IT'S DONE BOYZ!

Kinda. There's stuff to edit...

like a lot of stuff. It's not funny.

... Buuuuut it's DONE OTHERWISE!

I didn't do even close to everything I wanted, but by this point I was more concerned with getting the damn chapter done than doing everything right.

"I don't want to shoot dust rounds, I've done fine without them."

"Wynion. Do you dare suggest that Ladrones cannot be improved by being a gun?" Ruby gave a side glance to her friend.

Wynnie sighed, "We didn't build the frame with recoil in mind-"

"-But it's built to be huntsman grade in durability. Even with the modifications, it's going to be lasting for a lifetime, or do you doubt my technical skills, huh?" She crossed her arms and smirked as they sat upon Wynnie's bed with a stripped down Ladrones being reassembled between them.

"Then tell me," He held up the frame to her, "Where the fuck would you place a gun on this, huh?"

"Well…" She trailed off, deep in thought.

We made only room for the essentials and the cable for the blade

"Well?"

"I…" She slumped her shoulders in defeat, but then perked right back up with an ingenious solution, "We can just remake Ladrones!"

"Ruby, don't even think about it-"

"Look, we didn't add the mechanism only because you couldn't get bullets easily. But we are now at Beacon Academy where they give us so much free ammunition and access to some of the best huntsmen and huntresses and an expansive library and so many weapons and guns and I'm with my sister and my best friend and I'm actually attending this school OH MY GOD..."

This is something straight out of a dream everyone is here and has to stay in school with me and Beacon is really the best school even mom thought so and it's so cool. I think she thought so? Yeah, definitely, and I don't want to wake up from this dream-

"Ow!" Ruby refocused her eyes at Wynnie, rubbing the back of her head. He probably did that, the meanie. "Wait, what were we talking about?" She tried to recall what they were doing as she absently wiped the drool away from her mouth.

"How we were going to escape from the party that your sister-"

"No, we aren't running away, we have to go there!"

Wynnie groaned and the verdict, "Come on, why do we have to go? Why do I have to go?"

"I'm not exactly strangers with them, but I don't usually like- talk to them. Except for Jaune. Jaune's pretty nice, but I don't know the others that well. So Wynnie please please come to the party. I really need my best friend to support me." Ruby begged her super-duper best friend.

Said best-nicest friend glared back at her, "I agreed in a vulnerable state where you could have convinced me to do anything. Ruby, you don't even want to go. In fact, why are you so determined to get me to go?"

"Well," Ruby flushed a bit, "Y-Y-Yang convinced me to tr-try something new…"

"Yang is a bitch-"

"DON'T SAY THAT ABOUT MY SISTER!"

"S-sorry…" At least he was ashamed, "Still, I don't see why you are so nervous to go to a party with Team JNPR…"

Ruby groaned and lay back on the bed, "Well Jaune is nice, so is Pyrrha even if she seems to avoid you sometimes. Ren is scary, super scary. And Nora is…" She flushed as she couldn't help but recall all of those cursed memories of her young self...

Wynnie leaned in with a smirk, "Remind you of any-"

And foolishly putting himself in her range, "Come here!" She grabbed him as he let out a yelp of fear, dropping Ladrones to put his hands up in defence-

Knock knock…

Ruby froze as her target was saved by Yang as she opened the door to the sight of-

"Wow… Sis, you really impress me. Even I don't go that far before-"

It didn't happen.

Nothing happened.

Yang is a liar.

She was not in that position with Wynnie for her sister to witness and tease about forever.

"Okay come on Wynion we are going to be late yes we are we need to get to the party and we really need to go now…" She dragged him out of the room absolutely not mortified at all.

Everyone else was already in attendance, sitting down in the ring of nine chairs set up in a circle. In the middle was a small end table with the beer Yang made him carry laying atop it.

What a bitch…

"Wynion!" Ruby crossed her arms.

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Say what? We're waiting for you to take your seat so we can get this damnable party over with already!" Weiss glared at him.

Yang laughed as Wynion took his seat, "Calm down Ice Queen. We got a new experience here called kick back and relax, and you might enjoy it."

"What do you people even do in a party? Get drunk and hang out?" Wynion sighed.

"Neither Ren or me have actually been to a party before!" Nora grinned, "Oh I'm so excited…!"

"In my experience, parties are somewhat boring places for people to make connections after an event of some sort." Pyrrha sighed.

"Or a place to look pretty and be on display." Weiss agreed.

"Or a refuse of the worst of the upper class..." Pyrrha nodded.

Yang cut them off before they could continue, "-Before you two poison the minds of our less experienced friends here with your horrible experiences, parties are really a place to hang out and have fun with your friends!"

"In what universe are any of you my friends?" Wynion raised an eyebrow.

"Wynnie!"

"Correction. With the exception of Ruby."

"Yay!"

Yang picked up a bottle of booze and tossed it to him, "Come on, take a bottle everyone."

"What if we don't uh, want to drink alcohol?" Jaune asked.

Wynion rolled his eyes, "Come on Jaune, don't be a pussy."

"We have seltzer water if you don't want to drink." Blake dragged the crate of soda right next to her chair out to the center.

"Nora, you drink the seltzer." Ren ordered his partner.

"Yeah, yeah." Nora stuck her tongue out at him in response, but still took the water.

Ruby reached out for a beer, but Yang stuck a bottle of water in her younger sister's hands firmly, whispering something in her ears.

"Suggestable… awake…" Was all he could make out as his friend's cheeks reddened. She relented and took the water with a small pout.

Pyrrha, Weiss, Yang, and Wynion were the only ones who held beer after the distribution.

"Do we get any snacks?" Nora asked hopefully.

"We would have," Yang glared at Wynion, "If someone wasn't being uncooperative and 'lost' them."

"Fuck you too-" He glared back.

"Wynion!"

"Sorry." He mumbled as Ruby frowned from where she sat next to him.

"So first order of business, deciding on a party game. There aren't going to be enough of us drunk for spin the bottle, so that's out." Yang frowned and started thinking.

Wynion took a glance at Jaune, "Pussy."

"Hey!"

"Yeah you said it…" Yang offhandedly remarked, "Wait! I got it. The classic 'Truth or Dare'."

"What's that?" Weiss asked.

"Tell the truth about whatever question is asked or do a dare. Let's start already." Blake sighed.

"Awwe… Blakey, I knew you would get into this soon enough, who wants to start?"

Ruby raised her hand excitedly, "Me! Me! Me!"

Yang gestured towards her, "Alright then, go ahead."

"Uh, Ren!" She pointed towards the calm boy, "Truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"If you could ask me one thing, what would it be?"

Yang groaned, "Come on Rubes, that's boring."

Ren pondered the question for a moment, "How do you forget what you study so quickly?"

The room burst into laughter, causing Ruby to hide behind her hands.

"THANK YOU! SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED!" Weiss cried out in relief.

"Not my fault!" Ruby whined as she reddened in embarrassment.

"My turn," Ren announced, "Pyrrha, truth or dare?"

Pyrrha cleared her throat, "Uh, truth."

"What's the most embarrassing thing you've done?"

She gestured with her bottle, "The first time I got drunk. I was fifteen."

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAA!?" Nora widened her eyes at the revelation, "Ho-HOLD UP! YOU got drunk at fifteen? WOW! I-"

Jaune quickly covered his teammate's mouth, "Nora! There are other people in the dorm rooms nearby!"

Pyrrha ignored them, "Anyways, my turn-"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Yang stopped the gladiator and took a good swig of her drink, "Come on! Give us some details!"

"But that's the most embarrassing thing I've ever done!"

"Yang! Stop being a hypocrite!" Ruby glared at her sister.

"Blake, truth or dare?" Pyrrha hurriedly asked amidst the argument.

"Dare."

"Huh, we got a dare?" Yang whipped her head around.

Wynion sighed and took a sip, "Yang, can you stop talking for two minutes?"

"Yes sir!" She laughed and reached for a new beer.

She already finished her first…?

"Um… Blake… uhh?"

"Go on."

Pyrrha flushed, "I'm sorry! I'm just not good at this kind of thing…"

"Well, either ask me or just pass." Blake told her impatiently.

"What about… Could you take off your bow?"

"No."

"No?"

"No." Blake responded firmly. He could have sworn he saw her bow twitch as she kept shooting her down. Weird, but he'd seen-

"Weiss, truth or dare?"

"Blake! That's not fair…" Nora complained.

"I knew we shouldn't have gotten the sparkling water! You all need some courage in ya!" Yang groaned alongside her.

Weiss turned her attention to her teammate, "Truth!"

She hesitated, "I'm curious, how did you get that scar?" Blake asked.

"That is a long story…" She sighed, "But the short version is, it was my ticket into Beacon."

Jaune stared at her in either deference or concern (possibly both), "You... cut yourself to get into-"

"No," Weiss shook her head, "A couple of mercenaries attempted to kill me at a concert, but I overcame them." For once, there was no arrogance or boastfulness in her voice. Just pride.

"Wow… Pretty good snow angel-"

"AHEM. Next!" Weiss scanned the room, and Wynion went over to get his second bottle of the disgusting alcohol.

"Yang, tru-"

"FINALLY! DARE!"

Weiss rolled her eyes, "Fine then, I dare you to clean up and put everything away after this so-called party of yours."

"Fuck." Wynion was not ashamed of the fact that he found great delight in her suffering, "Whatever… My turn. Oi! Wynion, truth or dare?"

"Truth." He scratched his chin.

"So since Weiss told us about how she got her scar, tell us about how ya got yours!"

"No."

Yang frowned, "Come on, no one's being cooperative except surprisingly, Ice Queen."

"You haven't picked me yet!" Nora complained.

Ren sighed, "Nora, I doubt the people in this room want to ask or dare you to do anything-"

A flash of lightning struck outside as the monster somehow pulled out her hammer, "AND THEY WILL DIE LIKE THE COWARDS THEY ARE!"

Oh god.

"Nora, if you behave, I'll give you my pancakes tomorrow-"

"Ren, that is a deal! No smashing!"

"Come… ON!" Yang grabbed Wynion's shoulders, "TELL US ALREADY WYNNIE!"

"Yang, how much have you had to... drink?" He faltered as he glanced over at the half empty crate. It was no six-pack, but an actual crate. How that table supported it was a mystery now that he thought about it. It was a crate she stuffed in her oversized luggage bag and made him carry all the way back to Beacon-

"Yang!" Ruby separated her drunken sister from him, "If he doesn't feel like answering, then he doesn't feel like it!" She protectively wrapped him in a hug, making him sigh.

"It's fine Ruby, you can let go."

"No."

Yang spun around, "Jaunny! Truth or Dare!"

"Wha- Wait! Weren't you just talking to Wynion?" Jaune protested.

"Wow Jaune, you really are perceptive," She yawned, "Truth or dare?"

The timid blonde sighed, "Truth."

The not-so-timid blonde grew a bit more passionate, "Come... ON! DO A DARE ALREADY!"

"Uh no offence but I would rather not take a dare from you in your current-"

"Fine! Uh…" Yang thought for a minute, before slumping her shoulders in defeat, "This is no fun, I give up…"

"Why don't we just talk?" Blake suggested, "We all seem willing enough to do that."

"Talk about what?" asked Yang, "How to do Truth or Dare?"

"Why don't we talk about how we unlocked our auras!" Ruby cheered.

Silence.

"I'll go first. I unlocked my aura at eight when I ran into the woods alone and got chased by a pack of beowolves!" Ruby continued until she realised everyone was awkwardly silent. "Guys?"

Yang shook her head, "You know what, sure. Yeah, screw it. I unlocked my aura when I was twelve. First time I ever drank alcohol, and I stole it from our uncle. I fell down the stairs, and during my long trip down, I unlocked my aura."

Some laughed, while others grimaced in sympathy. "What's so embarrassing about that?" Jaune asked. For once, Wynion and Jaune seemed to be exactly on the same page.

"Jaune," Pyrrha glanced at her partner, "There are two ways of unlocking aura. Either someone unlocks it for you, or you discover it yourself during a time of great need or distress."

"And I unlocked it by being drunk and tripping down the stairs, Qrow never let me forget that one." Yang groaned and massaged her temples.

No harm in talking about mine I suppose…

Wynion cleared his throat, "When I was like- twelve or thirteen, I uh… hurt myself," Ruby pressed herself ever so closer to him, "I was trying to remove a flaw-"

He stopped himself and tried not to flinch at the thought of how disappointed in him she was right now.

That's because she doesn't like it when you say mean things like that about yourself.

They aren't mean, they're true.

"-I managed to cut myself a bit," He continued on, "So Ruby helped me and unlocked my aura."

He allowed himself to enjoy the ear rub…

SNAP!

He opened his eyes to the flash of light coming from Yang's scroll.

"Hehe… And you say you aren't a couple." The blonde smirked as Wynion looked away, rolling his eyes. Ruby seemed to shift a bit-

"C-can someone else talk already!?" Ruby cried out, "Jaune! You go!"

"Uh…" Jaune looked rather uncomfortable, "I can't."

"No one's judging you here. I just shared how I unlocked my aura in the most embarrassing way of all fuckn' time." Yang rolled her eyes.

All eyes were on the nervous team leader as he caved in to the pressure.

"It was in the forest, uh I met a really nice girl who saved my butt." Jaune laughed sheepishly, "I got into a little bit of um… trouble with Beowolves. I got uh... scratched up pretty bad.. She asked uh… Why I was out alone in the forest without being able to properly use aura. I didn't even know what that was at the time, but for the first time, instead of someone bullying or making fun of me, she talked to me. She explained to me what aura was, and why Hunters use it. And I guess after that, we became friends..."

"Sounds like you look up to her." Blake noted.

"Uh, hehum… yeah? I… I guess she was an inspiration. She's a pretty girl- uh pretty nice girl…" Jaune reddened, "I um, misspoke…?"

Thankfully for him, Pyrrha took over.

"I had mine unlocked by a tutor when I was um…" Pyrrha concentrated hard.

Silence.

"... Hehe…" Pyrrha's eyes were glazed over. Weren't people supposed to get drunk after they finished half of their first beer?

"Well, mine was unlocked by someone who's- was, close to me." Blake piped up.

"I had mine unlocked as well," Weiss chimed in.

Ren sighed, "I unlocked my aura during an… unfortunate event."

"Same with me," Nora nodded with a serious look in her eye.

"I guess it's really possible... for you people to actually…" Yang rose from her chair-

And somehow tripped backwards into it, falling to the floor where she was knocked unconscious…

"Don't worry, she's fine!" Ruby reassured everyone with a giggle, "She's done this before…"

I'm back. Hi, how are you? I'm good, how about yourself? Oh, well working on the chapter of course. Huh, cool.

The reason this chapter took so long was because I was suffering serious writers block with it, and I tried many methods.

Oh yes, I did.

But in the end, thanks to a little project known as AI Dungeon II (or just call it AI Dungeon), I found some inspiration on ways to both start and do the chapter. Even some new perspectives on the characters. It's kind of like interperative art sometimes, and other times it makes a wonderfully comeplete story.

Seriously, go check that shit out, it's pretty good.

Sorry I took so long though, first rule about me is, if I promise something, chances are that it's almost certain not to come through.

CUN

1). Preparations (last chapter) is finished.

2). The Lonely Notes is up! It's where the irrelivent notes are stored along with a few stories in this universe even I think don't fit in here. Spoilers are a given.

3). Went back and changed/fixed both grammer and aspects of events in the previous few chapters or so.

4). Still working on the chapter. While going back to fix and add to some stuff, I came up with a concept which I concidered posting on this story, but figured it would ruin something I am trying to build up to. The "fairy tale" of The Silver Wolf will be on The Lonely Notes. It'll contain both spoilers and a vague description of Wynion's background as a fairy tale.

5). Pinky Swear is now named "Big". Figure it out yourself as to why.

I have another question, this time I think easier for people to answer (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO, I NEED FEEDBACK...).

What exactly is your impression of the story so far? What makes you interested, and what do you hate? Who do you hate? Why do you hate? Why are we still here? Jus-

*BLAM*

I need y'alls answers so I can figure out what areas I need to flesh out since I am a disapointment every time I try to correct stuff. Tell me about this story and what you think, and I'll give you an imaginary cookie.

Alright, so far I got two (now four) responses. I'm listing all of my reactions that are relevent to the story here.

Arclight: Unfortunately, I guess you're right about his fragile as glass problem when it comes to his ears, I hate that you're right. It was supposed to be intentional, but you are right that he needs a bit more fire in him. I think you'll like what I do with Jaune and Wynion however. Good news for you though, this chapter looks like it might take a bit.

uptownhat: Overcoming self hatred is gonna take a long while. :| Sorry... You'll be able to enjoy the progression of the relationship though.

rainfall: Yeah, I noticed that too. As have others apparently :c
But if you or anyone else have any suggestions as to how to write him so that he doesn't just let them beat him up (hopefully) without me needing to write another fight scene, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. It's just that it's hard for me to organsise myself to do a satisfactorily fine fight scene, so Wynion is getting beat up easily for now.
