Episode 239: Delcatty Got Your Tongue
After their encounter with the legendary Pokémon Regirock, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, May, and Max made a stop for a picnic as sandwiches and all sorts of food were laid out. Sora had exchanged Corphish, Mudsdale and Electrike for his Ralts, Treecko and Torchic. Kairi had exchanged Stufful and Feebas for her Ralts and Morelull. May and Max were fortunate to have a taste of the food made by Kairi.
"Wow! This is so delicious!" May said with her taste buds in heaven.
"Thank you, May. That's very nice of you to say," Kairi said.
"This may not be the food my mom makes, but still good," Max said.
"Between the two of us, Max, she makes a meal that'll put my mom's cooking to shame. I never dare say that to her face since I don't wanna risk hurting her feelings," Sora told him.
"My mom's cooking is still better," Max retorted.
"Whatever," Sora said as he took another bite. As the humans enjoyed the picnic, the Ralts couple were enjoying it in their own way. Kairi's Ralts fed Sora's Ralts and he ate whatever to his delight and she planted a few kisses here and there. May's Torchic tries to get close to Sora's Torchic, but brushes him off. Sora's Torchic has respect for May's Torchic, not only as a fellow Torchic, but as a Fire Type Pokémon entirely. Pikachu shared some stories of his past experiences during the course of the meal about how he met Sora and Kairi and what sorts of adventures he had before he came to Hoenn and met Angel. He even told her about the Pokémon he befriended when the Alolan nine were with them. He even told her about the one Pokémon he respected the most; Riku's Eevee.
"I can understand why you respect him so much, Pikachu. In some way, he's just like you." - Angel subtitle.
"He is. Like me, he is right beside his trainer and he never gives up. He even took on Pokémon much bigger than he is. I know because I once saw him take on a Gliscor, and he was nothing to cough at." - Pikachu subtitle.
"Do you think about them?" - Angel subtitle.
"I do. Snowy and her trainer are probably somewhere in the world and meeting some Pokémon I never seen before." - Pikachu subtitle.
"And what about your adopted little brothers? Do you miss them?" - Angel subtitle.
"I do miss them. And I can gurantee that you're going to love them." - Pikachu subtitle. Angel smiled at the thought of meeting them. She greatly admired him even more, hearing how he's a natural leader just like Sora. Hearing them made Angel love Pikachu even more.
Just then, a boy with blonde hair tied in a ponytail comes waltzing through the forest along with a young man that appears to be in his late teens, wearing a tuxedo. They came across the small group and their Pokémon.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have found. Sora Ketchum and his girlfriend. This is a good day, isn't it Percy?" The blonde boy asked.
"Indeed, Master Damian," Percy agreed.
"Who are they?" May asked.
"No idea," Max said.
"I hope we are interrupting," Percy said.
"Um, you would be?" Sora asked.
"I do apologize. My name is Percy, the personal butler of Master Damian, right here. Under his command, he and I are out and about to search for Pokémon trainers to battle, but unfortunately, each trainer he has come up against have been too awfully easy for his liking. And upon seeing you, he is anxious for a challenge," Percy explained.
"So, we are challenging the both of you to battle! Do you accept our challenge or not?" Damian asked.
"I guess I could use a little more training for my next Gym battle," Sora said.
"As always, I'm right beside you, Sora!" Kairi said.
"Wow, another battle going on! So cool!" Max exclaimed.
"This is going to be great," May said. She remembered watching her first Contest battle closely, and how skillful a trainer she is. Damian took out a Luxury Ball as his butler took out a Pokéball.
"I choose you, Manetric!" Damian called out. The Luxury Ball opens and unleashes a quadrupedal mammalian Pokémon that is canine in appearance. It has a long dog-like muzzle and red eyes. Its body is cyan blue and yellow in color. The top of its head is pointed and spiny, with black spots on either side that appear to be its ears. It has bristly seemingly electrified fur, which sticks up as if by static electricity. It has powerful back legs with yellow spines on its flanks, and an angular, pointed blue tail. The Pokémon has bulky paws and with three clawed toes on both its front and back feet. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Manetric, the Discharge Pokémon
The evolved form of Electrike
Type: Electric
Manectric discharges strong electricity from its mane. The mane is used for collecting electricity in the atmosphere. This Pokémon creates thunderclouds above its head.
"Go forth, Pincurchin!" Percy called out. The Pokéball opens and lets out a small black Pokémon resembling a sea urchin. It has yellow eyes with black triangular pupils and 2 yellow orbs for a mouth. Sora used his Pokédex and scanned it.
Pincurchin, the Sea Urchin Pokémon
Type: Electric
It feeds on seaweed, using its teeth to scrape it off rocks. Electric current flows from the tips of its spines. Even if one gets broken off, it still continues to emit electricity for at least three hours.
"So, both are Electric Types," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away. He looked over to Marshtomp since he is the only Ground Type that he has since he sent Mudsdale home. Both Ralts stepped up to battle.
"Ralts?" Kairi asked.
"You wanna battle?" Sora asked.
"Ralts," both Ralts nodded.
"It looks like they made up their minds," Kairi stated.
"You're right, Kairi. Let's do this thing," Sora said.
"So, two Ralts, is it? Ha! My Manetric will make minced meat out of those little runts! Isn't that right, Percy?" Damian asked.
"Yes, Master Damian," Percy acknowledged.
"Manetric! Begin with your Fire Fang!" Damian ordered. Manetric charges towards Sora's Ralts with its fangs emitting fire.
"Psybeam!" Kairi ordered. Kairi's Ralts fired Psybeam and it struck the discharge Pokémon in the face.
"Thanks for the save, Kairi," Sora said.
"Anytime, Sora," Kairi said. Damian was pissed at how Kairi's Ralts used Psybeam on his Manetric.
"How dare she do that to me! Percy, do something!" Damian commanded.
"As you wish, Master Damian," Percy obliged. He ordered. "Pincurchin, please use your Water Gun on the girl's Ralts." Pincurchin obeys and fires Water Gun right at Kairi's Ralts.
"Block it with Confusion!" Sora ordered. His Ralts blocks the water attack and pushes it back. It struck Manetric, making it soaking wet.
"Pincurchin! Use Poison Jab!" Percy ordered. Pincurchin races towards Sora's Ralts to deliever a poisonous jab with its spines.
"Disarming Voice!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Their Ralts both fired a Disarming Voice each and combined into a huge sound wave, striking them both. Manectric and Pincurchin were pushed back. Pincurchin jabs into Manectric in the rear, making it yelp in pain. Manectric ran around, trying to get Pincurchin off.
"Manectric! Come back here this minute!" Damian demanded. "Hey! The battle isn't over! Come back! I said come back!" He ran after his Pokémon as Percy followed.
"Master Damian, please be careful! You can end up being shocked by Pincurchin if you are not careful!" Percy called out to his master. Sora and Kairi knew it was a forfeit since both trainers have run off.
"Good save from that Water Gun, Sora. Thank you very much," Kairi said.
"Well, I had to pay you back for helping with that Psybeam," Sora said. Both of Sora and Kairi's Ralts kisses each other as a sign of congratulations to each other. As they kissed, they began to evolve. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, May, and Max were amazed by the sight of the Ralts couple evolving.
"Wow! They're both evolving right at the same time!" Max said.
"Pi," Pikachu said.
"Vee," Angel said.
They parted lips as they had finished evolving. They had the appearance of a Ralts, but the waist and legs are light green in color, making them appear to be wearing tights. Around its waist, they appears to be wearing a mini-skirt, similar in appearance to a classical tutu. Their light green "hair" is lengthier than per-evolved forms and somewhat resembles a bob cut. Their hair covers the middle portion of their faces, though still revealin their red eyes. The pink horns that were previously located in the center of Ralts' head, are now located on either side of their heads giving them the appearance of large hair clasps. They gazed into each other and they saw that they had both evolved.
"They both evolved into a Kirlia!" Max exclaimed. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the newly evolved Pokémon.

Type: Psychic/Fairy
Kirlia uses the horns on its head to amplify its psychokinetic power. When the Pokémon uses its power, the air around it becomes distorted, creating mirages of nonexistent scenery.
"Look at that, Kairi, we each got a Kirlia," Sora said. Max walks up to Sora.
"You know, Sora, since your Kirlia is a boy, you could end up having a Gallade when you use a Dawn Stone," Max pointed out.
"Gallade, huh? Sounds like a cool Pokémon to have," Sora said.
"Yup," Max agreed.
After their picnic and battle had concluded, they continued on their way to Verdanturf Town. About a day later, they continued on their way when they saw a couple of construction workers on the road. Sora easily saw through their ruse. He could tell just by Jessie's hair.
"Fee fi fo fum. I smell the stink of morons," Sora said, making a stop.
"Why did we just stop, Sora?" Max asked.
"I think we just stumbled onto a construction site," Sora said.
"Please walk this way, kids," Jessie said, waving a couple of flashlights to the right, so his instincts told him to go to the left through the trees, because he knew they had a pitfall ready for them. But, he had an ace up his sleeve. "Watch your step." She turned to see them walk towards the trap. "Watch your step." Jessie snicked. Sora picked up a rock and threw it at the pitfall and it opens. He and Kairi grabbed them, making them yelp as Sora, Kairi, and Pikachu doing the same thing, and Angel not knowing what they were doing. Team Rocket ditched their disguises and went to the hole. "How nice of you to drop in." She saw the hole was empty. She growls in anger. "Where are they?!" Sora whistles and they turned to see them.
"Missing something?" Sora asked.
"How did you know about that hole, Sora?" May asked.
"Instinct," Sora said.
"Played us again!" Jessie growled.
"I probably asked this before, but when are you gonna finally get it through your thick skulls and realize that you're never gonna get a hold of Pikachu?" Sora asked. "I mean, how big of gluttons for punishment are you?"
"You mean, you know them?" Max asked.
"Those three are from an organization called Team Rocket. They go around and steal Pokémon from other trainers," Kairi explained.
"Brendan told me about them. They're the ones that's said to have a talking Meowth," May pointed out.
"And that ain't no parlor trick," Meowth said. Jessie takes out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Seviper!" Jessie called out. Her Seviper comes out to battle.
"Cacnea! You too!" James called out. His Cacnea comes out and hugs him. "OUCH! I love you too!" Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Bring up the heat, Torkoal!" Sora called out and his Torkoal enters the battle.
"Seviper! Use Bite now!" Jessie ordered. Seviper slithers over to Torkoal.
"Iron Defense!" Sora ordered. Torkoal withdrew in his shell. Seviper bit the shell and hurt its teeth.
"Cacnea! Pin Missle!" James ordered. Cacnea fired Pin Missle to Torkoal and is still in his shell. "Flamethrower!" Torkoal fires Flamethrower and it fries both of the Team Rocket Pokémon. May took out her Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Skitty!" May called out and her Skitty enters the battle to assist. "Use Double Slap!" Skitty runs towards the fang snake Pokémon to land a Double Slap when it just bats Skitty off with its bladed tail, and landed onto Torkoal's shell, accidentally unleashing some smoke. May ran over to her Skitty. "Oh, Skitty, are you okay?" Skitty's throat was inflamed from inhaling that smoke.
"Use wrap!" Jessie ordered. Kairi and Angel stepped in.
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fires Swift and the barrage of stars sends Team Rocket and their Pokémon straight into the forest.
"Foiled again!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying. Kairi knew something was off since they didn't recite their moto as they always did. They didn't recite it either when she and Nancy exposed their PokéBlock scam. May held her Skitty in her arms with worry in her eyes.
"Is your Skitty okay?" Sora asked.
"Skitty isn't making her usual sounds," May said.
"She must have lost her voice when Torkoal unleashed all that smoke," Max guessed.
"Torkoal," Torkoal said, feeling bad about hurting Skitty.
"Don't worry about it, Torkoal. It was an accident," Sora said. He turned to May. "I won't blame you if you're gonna be mad at me for what happened, May."
"Don't worry about it, Sora. It's neither yours or your Torkoal's fault. And you're right, it was an accident," May said. "But, my poor Skitty."
"We gotta get her to a Pokémon Center right away," Kairi said.
"You're right. The nearest town should have one," Sora said. He and Max each took out their PokéNavs to see where it was. "According to the PokéNav, the nearest town is in..."
"Foothill Town," Sora and Max said at once.
"And we're very close to it," Max said.
"Then, that's where we're going," May proclaimed.
The group started to make their way to Foothill Town as fast as they could run. They began to look around for the Pokémon Center and so far, they couldn't find it anywhere.
"Foothill is bigger than I thought," Max said.
"But, where's the center?" May asked.
"That's a very good question," Kairi said. They spotted a woman walking by, carrying a plastic bag, holding some vegetables. "She might know."
"it's worth a shot," Sora said. "Excuse us. You wouldn't happen to know where the Pokémon Center is?"
"Oh dear, we don't have a Pokémon Center in Foothill Town," the woman told the young trainers.
"You're kidding, right?" Sora asked.
"I'm afraid not," the woman said. The group ended up being disappointed.
"So, now what?" May asked.
"We could just head straight to Verdanturf Town. It has a Pokémon Center anyway," Sora said.
"We do have a Pokémon ckinic," the woman said.
"Pokémon clinic?" Sora asked.
"Yes. The doctor there is said to be one of the best," the woman said.
"That's super helpful," Kairi said.
"Which way do we go?" Max asked.
"Just go right down the street and make a turn on the left, and you'll see it," the woman said.
"Thank you," Sora, Kairi, May, and Max said as they went down the street. They went down the street and found the place they were looking for.
"You sure this is the place?" May asked.
"Looks like a clinic," Sora said.
"Thank you, doctor," a boy said from inside.
"Take good care of it now," a woman's voice said as a boy and his Makuhita stepped out.
"This is it," Sora said. The group went up to the front door and he calls in. "Hello? Anybody home?"
"Be right there," the woman called back. Out from the back, giant sound footsteps comes aas an obese girl with an Aron walks out a different door.
"Thank you very much, doctor," the girl said.
"You're very welcome," the woman said. The woman wore a doctor's coat and she had teal hair with lavender eyes. She saw the group with a smile. "Hello, I'm Dr. Abbey and I run this clinic."
"Nice to meet you, doctor. We have a patient you should have a look at," Sora said.
"What seems to be the problem?" Dr. Abbey asked.
"My Skitty is hurt. I think it's her throat," May explained.
"What happened?" Dr. Abbey asked.
"She accidentally inhaled some smoke from his Torkoal in a battle with some bad people," May explained. The doctor took the Skitty in her arms after doing a brief examination.
"That could have done it," Dr. Abbey said. She took the kitten Pokémon to the table for the Pokémon. "How long ago did that happen?"
"About half an hour ago, so we came here as soon as we could," May said. She turned Skitty around and started to rub Skitty's back. "It's a good thing you brought Skitty here, because I know just the right spot for the issue."
"Is that so?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. At this Pokémon clinic, we treat Pokémon ailments by stimulating pressure points," Dr. Abbey said.
"Pressure points?" Sora asked.
"Like people, Pokémon can suffer fatigue and stress, so I massage their pressure points to relieve them," Dr. Abbey said. SHe kept massaging Skitty for a few moments. "Okay Skitty, try to say something." Skitty tried to, but it sounded weak. "It's okay, Skitty. Take your time." Skitty tried again, but it was a little better. May was giddy to see her Pokémon feel better.
"Oh! you did it!" May said with glee.
"Your Skitty should be at a hundred percent in just a day or so," Dr. Abbey said.
"You're amazing, Dr. Abbey," May said. "Thank you very much for helping out my Skitty."
"You are very welcome," Dr. Abbey said. Sora and Kairi smiled as they saw how happy May is when her Skitty was doing better. His eyes darted over to a desk when he noticed somehting. He saw Dr. Abbey in a photograph wearing a dark pink Chinese-style clothing with a Skitty of her own and holding a trophy.
"Wait a minute, isn't that Dr. Abbey here?" Sora asked.
"What do you mean, Sora?" Kairi asked her boyfriend.
"Lookie here," Sora said.
"Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
They all walked up to the desk and saw the photo.
"You're kidding," May said.
"Lemme see," Max said. "You're right, Sora! It is her! She's not just a doctor, but a Pokémon Coordinator as well." May gasped with realization.
"No way! It can't be!" May exclaimed.
"Can't be what, May?" Sora asked. May took out a Magazine with a Skitty on the cover and shows it to them.
"Just look! This issue of Coordinator Monthly has a full feature of legendary Coordinators and here she is!" May said, opening up the magazine to her picture and her Skitty.
"You're right, that is her," Kairi said. "And she has a Skitty just like yours and mine."
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"The trophy she has is known as the Ribbon Cup. It's handed oout to the winners of the Grand Festival. She entered in as a total unknown and against all odds, rose up to beat the favorite in the Grand Festival. The articla said you lived somewhere near Verdanturf Town, Dr. Abbey, but I never thought I get to meet you face to face," May said.
"Please, it's not a big deal," Dr. Abbey said. She led the group to her living room and right to her display case, containing her ribbons and the Ribbon Cup. But since you're interested, these are all my Coordinator Contest Ribbons." She shows them her winnings. "I entered the Grand Festival with my Skitty; only I nicknamed mine Johnny."
"Is that so?" Kairi asked.
"I also heard you have a perfect score in the Battle Round too, and blew everyone else away," May pointed out.
"After that, you just disappeared and you never entered another Pokémon Contest again. I wanted to meet you for a very long time, Dr. Abbey," May said.
"Now, you're giving me way too much credit," Dr. Abbey said, blushing.
"Why did you retired so suddenly after winning the Grand Festival?" Sora asked.
"I decided I wanted to travel for a while, so I wanted to learn more about Pokémon, but my big victory made me a little overconfident. So, I was challenged into a battle one day, but I hadn't considered whenever I was prepared or not. The trainer I battled had a Flygon and it used Flamethrower to finish off Johnny. Johnny fell all the way to a bottom of a cliff and was hurt pretty badly, so I was frantic. Luckily, I found a Pokémon Clinic that was run by a man whose name is Dr. Moss. Dr. Moss used his own unique massage therapy to treat Johnny. And in no time, he was healthy and running around just like before. And there, I realized there are other ways we can interact with Pokémon besides training and battling with them," Dr. Abbey explained. The group held onto every word. "I convnced Dr. Moss to take me in as his apprentice and teach me all his healing methods. First I had to learn of the Pokémon pressure points. And then, various massage techniques. It took a long time before the doctor felt I was ready to do any of the treatment work myself. Even with his help and supervision, I still made my share of mistakes. And then, one night after a long day of treating Pokémon, Dr. Moss complimented me on my good work ad gave me a Moon Stone to make Johnny evolve into a Delcatty. And I realized after seeing Johnny evolve, I needed to evolve myself. And that's when I decided that I wanted to start a Pokémon Clinic of my own."
"Wow, so cool," May said.
"It turns out that Pokémon aren't the only ones who evolve; it's us too," Kairi said.
"Wonder where your plan is after your champianships lie ahead, Sora?" Max asked.
"I just have to think it over first," Sora said. The only ting that came to mind was marrying Kairi when they're adults. Dr. Abbey looked over to Sora.
"What does he mean by chapmianships?" Dr. Abbey asked.
"Like you didn't know. Sora here is a Pokémon League Champian. He won both the Indigo Plateau and the Johto Pokémon Leagues," Max said.
"It's true," Sora said.
"Oh, so you're Sora Ketchum. I heard some rumors you were travelling the Hoenn region for a while now. I never expected it to be you of all trainers," Dr. Abbey said.
"I pretty much get that almost everywhere I go," Sora said, scratching the back of his head.
"Before we go, we were wondering if we can meet your Delcatty. Please?" May asked. Dr. Abbey smiled.
"Sure," Dr. Abbey obliged. She opens the sliding glass door and they all stepped outside. "Johnny!" Answering the call comes a quadruped, feline Pokémon with a mostly tan body. It has a pointed, whisker-like protrusion on each cheek. Its purple ears have three tufts of fur at the tips, and there is a purple ruff-like collar with pin-like extensions around its neck. It has slim legs with tiny, digitless paws. It also possesses a purple, flower-like tuft of hair on the end of its thin tail. "Sora, Kairi, May, and Max, I want to introduce you to my Delcatty Johnny." The Delcatty meows in greetings.
"So, that's a Delcatty," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex.
Delcatty, the Prism Pokémon
The evolved form of Skitty
Type: Normal
Delcatty prefers to live an unfettered existence in which it can do as it pleases at its own pace. Because this Pokémon eats and sleeps whenever it decides, its daily routines are completely random.
May walked up to Johnny and petted him.
"You are so cute," May cooed. Not too far, Team Rocket had made quite a recovery and spies on them.
"What are the twerps doing at a Pokémon clinic?" Jessie asked.
"Down there is a Skitty and a Delcatty," James said.
"Hey, I have a great idea! Let's give the boss that Skitty set!" Meowth proposed.
"Why would we want to do that, Meowth?" Jessie asked.
"Think of it. The boss will have the complete set. The boss will be so happy with our efforts, he'll think of us!" Meowth said. "And he will say, 'Meowthand his friends have set a good example for Team Rocket for collecting this set for me.'" Jessie and James liked the idea.
"Rewarded! Promoted! Yay!" Team Rocket cheered. James stop to make a realization.
"Wait, if evolution sets are good, wouldn't an Eevee set be better? I mean, an Eevee, a Vaporoen, a Jolteon, a Flareon, an Espeon, an Umbreon, a Leafeon, a Glaceon, and a Sylveon; the boss would like that even better," James pointed out.
"We tried before, remember, also there aren't any Eevee evolution serts out here!" Meowth said.
"Who cares! Skitty and Delcatty are coming with us!" Jessie stated.
A few minutes later, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel step out to do some shopping for some supplies as the siblings stayed behind to practice with Skitty's Double Slap juggling.
"So, anything we need?" Sora asked.
"Just some potions, antidotes, also some ingredients for some Pokémon food," Kairi replied.
"If that's all we need, than that is what we get," Sora said.
The couple continued on to the market as they held hands. Pikachu and Angel walked together as they followed them. Pikachu and Angel smiled as their faces tinted a little pink.
Team Rocket came sneaking, unseen by them disguised as a German couple as Meowth is wrapped in some bandages. Sora made a stop and shuddered.
"Ooh!" Sora said.
"Why did you stop?" Kairi asked her boyfriend.
"I just had a shiver down my spine," Sora said. "And I don't seem to know why." The couple turn to see Team Rocket walking down with Meowth. Sora and Kairi knew instantly it was them. "It's Team Rocket!"
"Didn't we already come from that way?" Kairi asked.
"Right back at the clinic!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
"We should get back there before it's too late!" Kairi suggested.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Right," Sora agreed. "Let's go!" The couple followed Team Rocket back to the clinic.
Back at the clinic, Dr. Abbey carries two orange balls with Johnny beside her. She bends down.
"Try to hit these balls with your Double Slap," Dr. Abbey said. Skitty stood up and swung her paws around. Dr. Abbey laughs. "Right, but when I throw them, instead of using your hands, use your tail." Skitty looked at her tail and and nodded. "First just one." She tooses the ball and Skitty uses her tail to toss the ball into the air. "Now two." She tosses the other one and she juggles the two balls with the siblings amazed.
"Awesome! I can see why you won that cup," Max said.
"Now, Double Slap back to me, Skitty," the former Coordinator said. Skitty slaps the balls back to her and she catches them both. "Perfect!" She turned to Skitty's trainer. "Do you wanna give it a try, May?" She holds the balls in front of her.
"Sure," May said, taking the balls into her hands. "Okay Skitty, use Double Slap." May tosses the balls to the kitten Pokémon and she slapped the balls back to May, but not like before. "It's okay, Skitty, we'll try again."
"Anybody home?" Jessie asked, using a fake German accent.
"Yes!" Dr. Abbey replied. She stepped out to see Team Rocket standing at the door. "What happened?"
"Our precious Meowth had an unfortunate accident vhen we were trying to yodel, but ze pour thing fell of his clogs," Jessie said.
Von't you please have a look," James said, also using a fake German accent.
"Yes, please, come right this way," Dr. Abbey said. Jessie grinned as htheir plan was working perfectly.
"That Skitty and Delcatty are in the bag," Jessie said in her thoughts. Dr. Abbey got busy unwrapping his bandages.
"This must have hurt a lot," Dr. Abbey said.
"I'm sure he would thank you if he could speak, but of course he cannot," Jessie said.
"He even had an accident trying," James added.
"Now, let me see what I can do," Dr. Abbey said, when she got done unwrapping Meowth. Team Rocket made their move.
"Oh look, vhat we have here! Isn't this just ze cutest little Skitty you have ever seen?" Jessie asked.
"Ja, and this Delcatty is just as cute," James added.
"I don't see anything wrong with your Meowth," Dr. Abbey said.
"Just keep looking und you'll find it," Jessie said.
"Ja, there has to be something, because all he ever done vas vhine und complaining," James said.
"Well, your Meowth does seem to be very tense. He must have be going through some sort of pressure or perhaps a lot of stress," Dr. Abbey said.
"You don't know the half of it. You try working with Jessie for a while and see how that works out for you," Meowth said in his thoughts.
"Really, imagine that," Jessie said, placing a collar on Skitty.
"Stressed out, it couldn't be," James said, placing the collar on Delcatty.
"Well, anyway, I know how to fix it," Dr. Abbey said as she got started on Meowth's pressure points. The scratch cat Pokémon smiled as he found it to his liking.
"Meow-ow!" Meowth said.
"This should unleash all your tension," Dr. Abbey said.
"Just a little lower on the right, if you don't mind," Meowth said.
"Sure," Dr. Abbey said. Jessie and James winced and their faces turned white as they heard Meowth talk. May and Max realized who that Meowth really is and Dr. Abbey even gasped in surprise. Meowth covers his mouth with his paws.
"Who said that?" Meowth said, through his paws, trying to make seems that it was coming from someone else. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel came in through the door.
"The jig's up, Team Rocket!" Sora proclaimed.
"You may fool them, but you can't fool us!" Kairi added.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel added.
"Who are you and what are you up to?" Dr. Abbey demanded to know.
"Prepare for trouble, and keep an eye on your Skitty," Jessie started.
"Make it double, because it won't be pretty," James added with a rhyme.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Wobbufett!"
"You again?!" May exclaimed.
"Say, what do you say after this battle, we can pick up where we left off?" Meowth suggested. Jessie pushes Meowth aside.
"Back away, you!" Jessie snarled and took out her Pokéball. "Seviper! You use Haze!" She threw it and her Seviper comes out and covers the whole room with Haze. THey all cover their mouths, not wanting to breathe it in.
"My SKitty!" May exclaimed.
"Johnny!" Dr. Abbey exclaimed.
"Eevee!" Angel called out.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu called back.
The Haze cleared to see Team ROcket had already fled.
"They took Skitty!" May gasped.
"And they took Johnny!" Dr. Abbey also gasped. They all looked around and they saw Team Rocket's Balloon float in the air.
"There they go!" Sora said.
"They're getting away!" Max said.
"Not for long!" Kairi said.
They all started to chase after Team Rocket's balloon.
"Give back my Skitty or else!" May demanded.
"Or else what?" Jessie taunted.
"Or else, you'll be sorry!" May told them.
"Johnny won't take too kindly to being captured!" Dr. Abbey said. The Delcatty rams against the wall of the carrier, trying to get the collar off.
"Hey, calm down there, pal! There's no reason to be upset!" Meowth said. Johnny glares at Team Rocket and gets ready to fire Solar Beam, making Team Rocket wince. Johnny fires the beam and it destroys the balloon, making it fall.
"Skitty!" May gasped.
"Hang on, Johnny!" Dr. Abbey called out.
They fell over to some mountains and they villains and the feline evolution line go flying out of the balloon. Johnny runs across the rocks and catches Skitty on his back, making Team Rocket have a painful fall.
"Skitty!" May called out.
"Johnny!" Dr. Abbey also called out.
"They're both okay," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"That's good," May said, getting the collar off. Dr. Abbey did the same thing with her Delcatty.
"Hey! Give us back our Skitty set now!" Meowth yelled.
"They're not yours and I told you, you'll pay for this!" May called out. Jessie growls and takes out Seviper's Pokéball.
"Go! Seviper!" Jessie called out.
"You too, Cacnea!' James called out.
Both Pokémon comes out and are ready for battle. Sora was about to take out a Pokéball to battle them, but Kairi intervened.
"We should let her handle this, Sora," Kairi suggested.
"You're right, Kairi. We should," Sora agreed.
"Go, Johnny!" Dr. Abbey called out.
"Seviper! Use Bite!" Jessie ordered. Seviper moves in to deliever a bite onto the prim Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Dr. Abbey called out. Johnny avoids Seviper just by jumping on its head.
"Use wrap, Seviper!" Jessie ordered. Seviper attempted to wrap its body around the Delcatty, but he easily avoided it. "Now Poison Tail!"
"Johnny! Safeguard!" Dr. Abbey ordred. Johnny forms a protective barrier as Seviper uses Poison Tail and it bounces right off. Sora, Kairi, May, and Max were impressed by her battling skills.
"The legendary Coordinator strikes again," Max said at awe.
"And no wonder she's a legendary Coordinator," Sora added.
"Johnny! Use Thunderbolt!" Dr. Abbey ordered. The Delcatty uses Thunderbolt and shocks Seviper hard.
"Needle Arm, Cacnea!" James ordered.
"Johnny! Solar Beam!" Dr. Abbey ordered. Cacnea comes at Johnny with Needle Arm when he starts to charge up for Solar Beam. Johnny fires it and Cacnea was helpless againt it and gets hit by the beam of energy. Cacnea shatters the boulder behind it.
"Ooh, can you believe that Delcatty can use attacks like Thunderbolt and Solar Beam?" Sora asked.
"With attacks like that, it'll be wise not to make him angry," Kairi said.
"And you won't like him when he's angry," Sora said.
"Wow, they're so amazing," May said, impressed.
"Now, Seviper! Use Poison Tail!" Jessie ordered.
"Cacnea! Use Needle Arm!" James ordered. Seviper and Cacnea came at the Delcatty with their physical attacks.
"They're seriously attacking at once! Cheaters!' May hissed. "Skitty! Tackle!" Skitty rams into Cacnea and Seviper uses Poison Tail on Skitty.
"Oh no, SKitty," May gasped. Dr. Abbey had an idea.
"May, try using Blizzard," Dr. Abbey suggested.
"But, my Skitty doesn't know that move," May said.
"Your Skitty can learn it. Watch," Dr. Abbey said. "Johnny! Blizzard!" Johnny unleashes Blizzard and it catches the cactus Pokémon in a flurry of ice crystals. Kairi watched on and wondered if she can teach her SKitty some of the attacks Johnny had used.
"My Skitty is nothing like your Delcatty," May said.
"Don't think that, May!" Kairi called out to her. May turned to Kairi. "I know your SKitty can do it! You just have to try!"
"She's right, May. If she has faith in you, then I do too," Dr. Abbey said. May then regained some confidence and pressed on.
"Skitty! Blizzard!" May ordered. Skitty looked at her, not knowing what to do. May hung her head.
"Skitty, watch Johnny and then imitate," Dr. Abbey said. Skitty looked over to Delcatty. "Okay, Johnny, use Blizzard!" Johnny uses Blizzard again and Skitty tried, but it was so small. "That's it! You're getting it!"
"Seviper! Use Poison Tail again!" Jessie ordered.
"Cacnea! Needle Arm!" James ordered. Seviper and Cacnea both charged right over to the Skitty evolution line.
"Johnny!" Dr. Abbey called out.
"Skitty!' May called out.
"Double Blizzard!" They ordered. Skitty and Johnny both fired Blizzard, freezing both of the Team Rocket Pokémon in an ice block. The block of ice shatters when they land on Meowth and their trainers.
"Let's wrap this up, Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu agreed.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt and shocks Team Rocket, making an explosion.
"Looks like we're not gonna have that Skitty set to give to the boss," Meowth said. James has an idea.
"Say, Meowth, the boss already has a Persian, so how about we give you to him, and then he can have a set," James suggested.
"NEVER SAY PERSIAN!" Meowth snapped at him.
"Oh, it looks like that massage treatment has worn off," Jessie teased. Wobbufett pops out again.
"Wobbufett!" Wobbufett said.
"I'm blasting off alone!" Meowth stated.
"Oh no you're not!" Jessie and James said as they went into the distance. A star twinkles.
"Goodbye an good riddance to the moron trio," Sora said.
"Didn't you notice something about them?" Kairi asked her boyfriend/ Sora turned to her.
"What do you mean, Kairi?" Sora asked.
"I don't know how to explain it, but something happened that made them change a little," Kairi said. Sora just scoffed.
"Change, them? No way! You're probably just imagining it," Sora said.
"I hope you're right, Sora," Kairi said. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she noticed something was up, but she decided not to question it and just leave it alone.
As the sun sets, the foursome stood outside the clinic to say their goodbyes to the doctor.
"Thank you for everything, Dr. Abbey," Sora said.
"We came here to have Skitty's voice fixed and she ended up learning a new attack," May said.
"Thanks, but it's your Skitty that deserves all the credit," Dr. Abbey said.
"And you too, May," Max said. May smiles at her little brother.
"We should get a move on. Thanks again," Sora said.
"I wish you all luck on your way. And it was nice meeting all of you," Dr. Abbey said. They said their goodbyes and set off to Verdanturf Town.
Their goal is much closer than ever as they continued on their way. What other adventures awaits them up ahead? Just you wait and see.
