Chapter 38

The next day, the kids woke up early to prepare for their trip to the beach. Erin and William took to preparing a quick breakfast while Sarah took care of their stuff, mostly beach towels, food, drinks and a big beach umbrella for their shade. Leonard and Penny woke up shortly and found the kids busy in the kitchen.

"Good morning guys." said Leonard as he entered the kitchen with Penny, holding his hand.

"Hi mom...Sarah woke us up early." said William.

"Yeah...she's always excited when it comes to the beach...or Disneyland." said Penny, making Leonard laugh.

"I'm just excited to spend some quality time with my family!" Sarah said, holding her head up high.

"Yeah sure." William said with a hint of sarcasm, making Erin laugh a little.

"Babe...cut it out...I think she's just excited to show off her new bathing suit to her precious Jason." Erin said, completely bringing the kitchen atmosphere to an entire one-eighty. Erin looked around and noticed their non-responsiveness. "Uh...did I say something wrong?" she asked.

William leaned over to whisper in her ear, telling her that Sarah and Jason are no longer a couple.

Erin was surprised and couldn't believe what William just told her. "Oh my god...I am so sorry." she said as she went to hug Sarah.

"It's alright Erin." Sarah said, giving her a weak smile.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Erin asked.

"I was gonna tell you eventually...I just wanted to keep it to myself for a while." Sarah said. "Don't worry about me...I'm gonna be fine."

Erin smiled at the young lady. "Well…let's not think about it anymore and hurry up so we can still catch some early sun." she said making Sarah smile.

"Thanks Erin...you're so great." Sarah said as they went back to having breakfast and prepare for their day out. Marty came in running from the backyard, standing beside her big sister, barking and wagging his tail at her. "Okay Marty, you have to promise me that you're gonna behave when we're at the beach alright?" she said as the dog barked at her, acknowledging that he understood his sister. Sarah gave Marty a big smile and rubbed his head. "Good boy. You're so smart." she said before turning her attention back to breakfast, feeding Marty a few food scraps from her plate.

After breakfast and a quick cleanup of the kitchen, the young family along with Erin started their trip to the beach. William drove Leonard's car along with Erin and Sarah while Penny drove the other car with her husband in the passenger seat.

"You know if you taught me how to drive, you two could sit in the back and be lovey-dovey with each other and I won't bother you guys." said Sarah as she cuddled Marty over her lap while William drove the car.

"Yeah you'd like that so you could sneak around mom and dad and drive away with your friends." said William.

"Aww come on William...I'm almost sixteen now. Don't you think it's time for me learn how to drive?" she told her brother.

"She has a point babe." Erin said.

"Hey...I'm not the one you should be talking to about this stuff...I'm not your father." he said.

"We both know how dad acts to this kind of stuff." Sarah said.

"I could teach you how to drive if you want?" Erin said, making the young lady excited.

"Really? You'd do that?" Sarah said.

"Yeah...why not?" Erin said. "Just promise me one thing."

"What's that?" Sarah asked.

"That you'd do exactly what I tell you to do." said Erin.

Sarah smiled. "You got it. I promise."

"Good...now you just have to get your parent's permission." Erin said, surprising the young lady.

"What?" said Sarah.

"Hey...like what your brother said, we're not your parents." said Erin.

Sarah leaned back and folded her arms. "It's not fair." she said, pouting her lips.

"Don't worry sis...I'm gonna back you up with mom and dad." said William, making his sister smile.

"Thank you...I appreciate it." said Sarah as they arrive at the beach with William parking the car so they could unload their stuff and find a good spot on the sand. After a few minutes, their parents arrived, parking their car right beside them.

"Hey guys...all set?" Penny said as Leonard got off the car, carrying Penny's tote bag.

"Yes mom, we're all set." William said.

"Ugh it's such a beautiful day isn't it!?" said Penny. "Let's just hope we can find a good spot."

"I'm sure we can find some place mom." said Sarah as she put her hand around Leonard's arm to walk beside him as Marty darted towards the beach, happy to be running and jumping on the sand.

After walking along the beach for a few minutes, they found a good spot near the water that is not as crowded as William and Leonard started setting up the umbrellas and beach towels while Penny and the girls took care of their other stuff, mostly the food, water and sunscreen.

"Ugh look at that! It's such a beautiful day and the water looks so good!" Sarah said, getting excited at the view of the ocean, making her parents laugh. Sarah then started to remove her shirt and shorts, revealing her new bathing suit before wrapping a big bandana around her hips, knowing that her father would prefer her covering up.

Penny leaned over to whisper at Leonard. "At least she's thinking of something else other than you know who." she said.

"Amen to that." said Leonard, laughing a little.

Penny then started to put their stuff in order, taking out a sunscreen lotion to put on her husband and daughter. "Come here sweetheart, let's put some sunscreen on you." Penny said as Sarah sat beside her parents. "We don't want you burning up." she added while she applied the sunscreen on her daughter's arms, legs and back.

Erin pulled out her own sunscreen lotion and gave them to William. "Babe, put some sunscreen on me please?" she said as she began taking off her shorts and shirt, revealing her new bikini to her boyfriend. William slightly blushed when he saw how beautiful and lovely his girlfriend was.

"Sweetheart...are you alright?" Penny asked, slightly amused by her son.

"Is that a hummingbird tattoo?" Sarah asked Erin.

"Yeah...it's beautiful right?" Erin said to the young lady.

"That is so cool...ugh I can't wait to turn eighteen so I could get my own!" she said, surprising her parents.

"Absolutely not young lady!" Leonard said.

"Why not? Mom has one, right!" said Sarah, slightly defiant.

"Aren't you gonna help me over here?" Leonard asked his wife.

Penny sighed. "What do you want me to say? I mean...when she turns eighteen, she can pretty much do whatever she wants." said Penny.

"So it's okay to you if I get a tattoo?" Sarah asked her parents.

Leonard took a deep breath. "Let's just get one thing straight young lady...I am against it...but like what your mom said, once you turn eighteen, you can do whatever you want." he said.

"Mom?" asked Sarah.

Penny sighed and shook her head. "Fine...just make sure it's what you really want because it's a permanent thing...once it's there, you can't get rid of it." she said.

"Yeah...and once you turn eighteen...mom and dad can kick you out of the house." William said, making Erin and his parents laugh.

"Well...you know me...my house, my rules." said Leonard.

"Fine...I get it." Sarah said. "And don't worry dad...I know what I'm doing." she added.

"Okay...fine." said Leonard.

Erin then laid on the towel, waiting for William to apply the sunscreen. "Well? What are you waiting for Mr. Scientist?" she said, teasing her boyfriend.

William shook himself awake as he opened the sunscreen bottle to apply the lotion on her back, arms and legs. Erin could feel that William was a little tense from his family being there with them. "Would you just relax!?...we're here in the beach to have some fun!" said Erin as Leonard, Penny and Sarah laughed at William.

"What's so funny?" William asked his family.

"Because...you still act like a little boy...so adorable!" said Penny, making them all laugh.

"That's not funny." said William as he started to apply the sunscreen on Erin's legs.

Erin turned her head to look at William. "Why are you so shy? It's not like we haven't done this stuff before...right?" she said.

William took a deep breath. "Can we please just talk about something else?" he said.

"Well, I sure as hell am not gonna talk about science and nerd stuff!" said Penny. "I already endured that with his father and I don't think I want to hear any more nerd trivia." she added, earning a high five from her daughter.

"Okay, how about this…a certain young woman wants to learn how to drive." said William, slightly surprising her parents.

Sarah looked at her folks and gave them a weak smile. "Dad...please...I mean, some of my classmates already know how to drive." she said as Marty came running back to her, wagging his tail and jumping around, glad to be out in the open. Sarah pulled the dog close and rubbed it's belly, clawing his way up her neck to lick her. "Marty...stop it!" she said, tickled by her dog's affection.

Leonard looked at his wife and saw their daughter's point. "Well...you're almost sixteen now...I don't see a reason not to." he said, earning him a hug from his daughter.

"Really? Ugh, thank you daddy!" Sarah said. "And Erin agreed to teach me…" she added.

"That's so nice of her." Penny said.

"So it's alright to you?" Sarah asked her mother.

Penny shrugged her shoulders, seeing her husband's point. "Well I certainly won't let your father teach you how to drive." she said.

Leonard looked at Penny. "Why not?" he asked.

"Really Leonard? Do you want to have another heart attack?" Penny asked him, giving him a stern look.

Leonard sighed, realizing his wife's point. "You're right...I might as well have a car crash...right?" said Leonard, making them all laugh as Sarah kept quiet, not appreciating them making fun of her.

"That's not funny." said Sarah as she released the dog, making it run away into the water.

"It is to us." said Leonard, leaning over to kiss her daughter's cheek.

After a few minutes, Erin told William to lay on the towel so she could apply the sunscreen on him. William resisted for a bit but knew that he had no chance against his girlfriend.

"What are you so shy about babe?" Erin asked, finding him cute and adorable.

"Please don't ask me these kinds of questions anymore." said William as Erin gently massaged the lotion on his back. "I'm already embarrassed as it is." he said as his family looked on, amused by the young couple.

"Fine..." Erin said. "We're gonna go on the water later...you hear me?"

"Okay I get it...happy wife, happy life!" he said, making them all laugh.

"Now you're catching on!" said Erin, giving him a lovely smile.

"Learn from your father sweetheart...do you think I would've stayed married to him if he didn't always make me happy?" said Penny.

"She's right buddy!" Leonard said as he leaned back on the beach towel, feeling good about himself. "It's either make your mom happy or risk being killed by her alter-ego...the Hulk!" he said, making Sarah and William laugh.

Penny glared at him. "You are dead to me mister." she said, giving him a death stare.

"I love you so much honey!" said Leonard, giving Penny a huge smile, making the three laugh at how the old couple busts on each other.

They stayed at the beach for the whole morning with Erin and William going on the water to swim and wade around while Sarah spent most of her time with Marty, playing catch and swimming on the water, joining her brother and Erin. Penny and Leonard decided to stay behind, content in seeing their children have a good time and have some time for themselves.

"Look at them honey, they're so happy." said Penny, leaning her head on Leonard's shoulder.

"Yeah...remember when we first took Sarah to the beach?" Leonard said.

"Uh huh...I think she permanently damaged my ears when she screamed when we told her that it was time to go home." said Penny, making Leonard laugh.

"Honey, I think she damaged everyone's ears within a one-mile radius." he said, making Penny laugh out loud.

Penny leaned in and kissed her husband. "You are so funny." she said.

"What are you gonna do about it...little miss?" he said.

"Hmmm...you mister...are gonna get some tonight...I promise." said Penny when they noticed a guy, no older than William came up to Sarah, introducing himself to her. Sarah faced the guy and smiled, talking to him and eventually shaking his hand. Sarah then said something making the guy scratch his head and slightly back off, clearly apologizing for something. Sarah then waved goodbye at him before returning to join her parents under the umbrella.

"Hey...who's that?" asked Penny.

"Yeah...and what did he want?" Leonard said, getting a little cautious.

"That's Andy." Sarah said casually, before sitting down on the towel while Marty ran back to her sister, barking and jumping affectionately around her. Sarah took the dog and placed him on her lap, rubbing his belly. "You are so sweet!" she told Marty.

"That's not enough young lady." said Leonard.

"He just wanted to introduce himself and find out if I wanted to go out with him." Sarah said, like it was an afterthought while continuing to cuddle the dog.

"What!?" Penny exclaimed.

"Yeah...and he asked for my phone number." Sarah said, obviously trying to tease her parents for a bit.

"And what did you tell him?" Leonard asked.

"I told him that I'm sixteen years old." said Sarah, surprising her parents as Erin and William came back to join them.

"And what did he say?" asked Penny.

"He apologized...he said didn't want to get into trouble." said Sarah.

"Hey, who was that guy?" William asked as he sat on the towel with Erin sitting beside him.

"Andy...he asked for your sister's phone number." said Penny, surprising the young couple.

"Really? And what did you tell him?" asked William, looking sternly at his sister.

"Relax...I told him I'm only sixteen...after that, he apologized and walked away. He said he didn't want to get into trouble." Sarah said.

"Oh...okay." said William, before taking a bottle of water from their basket.

"Why are you suddenly so protective of me?" Sarah asked her brother.

"Nothing...I just don't want you getting hurt or something." said William, making the girls smile.

"Don't worry...I know what I'm doing." Sarah said.

Erin leaned over and kissed William on the cheek. "You are so sweet." she said before pulling Marty to cuddle on her lap. "What kind of a dog is Marty anyway?" said Erin while rubbing the dog's belly and head.

"I'm not sure...maybe a Labrador...or a mutt..." said Sarah.

"Well whatever breed he is...it's a good thing that he's so sweet." Erin said, tickling the dog and making it bark and whimper.

A few minutes before lunch, they decided to go home since it was becoming too hot and humid for them to spend more time in the beach. They were putting their stuff in the trunk of their car when Marty suddenly jumped from Sarah's arms and started running away.

"Marty stop! Come back here!" Sarah said, running after her dog. Sarah then saw her dog stop, jumping and clawing himself up to a person who turns out to be Jason. He lifted the dog up as Marty barked and licked Jason on his face, excited in seeing him again.

"Hey..." Jason said, giving Sarah a weak smile.

"Hey...I didn't know you were gonna be here." Sarah said.

"Yeah...I'm here with my cousins." he said, pointing casually behind him.

"Marty come here." Sarah said, not wanting to prolong the awkward conversation. Marty whimpered, looking back at Sarah with sad eyes. Jason stepped forward to give the dog back to his ex-girlfriend while Sarah reached out to take him. "Come on...they're waiting for us at the car." she said. "Thanks Jason...it was nice seeing you." she added while turning around to go back to her family.

Jason stood still, looking at Sarah while she walked away, carrying the dog in her arms. Marty looked back at Jason and barked at him, whimpering and wagging his tail. "Yeah...nice seeing you too." Jason whispered, waving his hand at the dog.

"What happened?" Penny asked as Sarah opened the backdoor of the car.

"We ran into Jason...Marty must have sensed him." said Sarah, giving her parents a weak smile.

"Oh my god sweetheart..." Penny said, consoling her daughter.

"I'm fine mom...let's just go home." she said as she got into the car, putting Marty beside her while all of them got into the car, before driving back home.

"I'm worried about her." said Penny as Leonard started driving the car, following behind William's car on the road.

"Don't worry honey, with a little bit of ice cream and some chips...I'm sure Sarah's gonna feel better." said Leonard, smiling at his wife.

"That's a good idea honey." Penny said.

After an hour of driving, the family arrived home.

"Hey...who wants some ice cream?" Penny asked them.

"Sounds good!" said William while Sarah remained quiet, sitting on the couch before putting Marty on the floor.

"Okay...Erin, you want some ice cream?" Penny asked.

"I'm gonna help you in the kitchen." said Erin, following Penny to the kitchen.

Once in the kitchen, Erin started preparing the cups and spoons while Penny took out the ice cream from the fridge before taking the scooper from the cabinet.

"Listen...Mrs. Hofstadter, I'm sorry about that thing with Sarah...you know, with the tattoo and stuff." Erin said, hoping Penny would understand.

Penny smiled at her. "Hey...don't be...it's alright...my daughter is already like that even before you met her." said Penny, making Erin laugh a little.

"I guess she never runs out of surprises for you and your husband huh?" said Erin.

"Oh you have no idea. Sometimes she just drives us crazy with all the things she says." said Penny. "Makes me wish she took a little bit more from Leonard than from me." she added.

"Well at least she's got your husband's brilliant mind." said Erin.

"I guess that's one way to look at it." Penny said as they finished filling the cups with ice cream. "Let's get back in there." she added while taking a couple of cups with her as Erin took the other two.

"Here you go, Rocky Road with some marshmallows." Erin said, handing Sarah a cup of ice cream.

Sarah took it, giving them a blank expression. "Thanks Erin."

Erin sat beside her. "Hey...why are you so glum all of a sudden? Is it because of..." she said, stopping at mentioning Jason's name.

Sarah gave her a weak smile. "Nothing...don't worry about it." she said while taking a small bite of her ice cream.

Erin smiled at her. "Okay." she said, noticing Leonard drinking some iced tea instead of having ice cream with them. "How come your dad's not having any ice cream." she asked.

"Oh...dairy products doesn't agree with my dad so he can't eat them." William chimed in.

"I can eat them but it would turn the house into a 'no man's land' in a minute." said Leonard, making his kids and wife laugh a bit.

"Yeah...dad's a walking talking biological weapon." Sarah said, making them all laugh.

"Hey that's not funny!" Leonard told his daughter, glad that the young lady is finally opening up. They then heard the door bell ring.

"I'll get it." William said, putting his cup on the coffee table before going to the door. He opened it and was surprised to see Halley standing on their porch. "Uh...Halley? What are you doing here?" he asked. They heard William as Erin and Sarah quickly stood up to join William.

"Uh...I just came by to..." Halley said when she saw Sarah and Erin joined them at the door. "Uh...Erin?" Hally asked, somewhat recognizing her.

"Hi..." said Erin.

'This is so awkward' Sarah thought as Leonard and Penny joined them.

"Hey Halley...why don't you come in?" Penny said.

"No thanks aunt Penny...maybe I'll come back some other time." said Halley, hesitating for a bit.

Leonard stepped forward and touched Halley's arm. "It's alright Halley, you can tell us." he said, hoping to reassure Howard's daughter.

"Okay...I just came by to give this back..." said Halley, putting her hand in her pocket and quickly putting something in William's hand.

William was surprised and opened his hand, seeing the necklace he gave Halley before he went to New Jersey. "Uh...?" he said, unable to say anything to Halley.

"It's better this way...bye..." Halley said before turning around and going back to the car, She got inside and started the engine, driving away as quickly as she arrived.

William looked at Halley's as she sped away, Erin and the rest of them unable to say anything. "Sweetheart...are you okay?" Penny asked her son, hoping that the young couple would just let this be.

William put the necklace in his pocket and nodded. "Yeah...I'm alright mom." he said. "Where's Erin?" he asked them when they heard a door closing from upstairs. William took a deep breath, knowing that he and Erin are in for a fight, before following her upstairs.

"Now I'm worried." Penny said to Leonard.

"It's probably nothing honey." said Leonard, closing the door slowly.

"Do you want me to listen-in on them?" Sarah asked, making her parent's glare at her. "Okay...I was only joking."

"Just leave your brother and Erin alone...I'm sure they can sort this out on their own." said Leonard as they sat in the living room.

William slowly opened his bedroom door, seeing Erin starting to pack her small luggage. "Uh...what are you doing?" he asked.

"Can't you see I'm packing?" said Erin, not facing him.

William went near her and held her hands. "Can you please stop?" he said.

Erin faced him. "Then what...so we could talk about your ex-girlfriend?" she said.

"Oh my god...do you hear yourself? Don't tell me you're jealous of her?" William said. "This is nothing." he added, showing her the necklace.

"Why would I be jealous of her?" Erin said, pulling her hands off him.

"I don't know...maybe because we were having a good time up until the point when Halley showed up and gave this back to me." said William, slightly raising his voice. "Can we please not fight about this?"

"I don't know...do you want to fight?" Erin said before standing up and looking out the window.

"Babe...I don't want us to fight." he said. "How about this...I'll take this to a jewelry store and sell it." he added.

Erin turned around and got back to packing her luggage. "Do what you want...I'm going back to New Jersey tomorrow." she said.

"But your flight is not until two days from now?" he said.

Erin then stood up and took her phone, typing and scrolling for a few minutes. "There...it's done...I re-booked my flight for tomorrow." she said, handing the phone to her boyfriend.

"Why are you suddenly mad? Halley didn't do anything to you." said William.

"Well maybe you're still holding on to something!?" said Erin, surprising him.

"That's not true and that's a little unfair isn't it?" William answered her.

Erin folded her arms. "I'm staying at Sarah's room tonight." she said before going to the door and opening it. Erin went out and saw Sarah coming up the stairs. "Hey uh...is it okay if I stay with you for tonight?" she asked the young lady.

"Yeah no problem...what did my brother do?" Sarah asked, worried about them.

"Nothing...I just want to stay away from him for a while." said Erin. "Don't worry about it." she added.

"Okay...sure." Sarah said. "Come on." she added leading Erin into her room.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Erin camped out in Sarah's room for the whole afternoon, staying away from William just to clear her head. Leonard and Penny chose not to get involved in the situation, telling William to give her some space.

Dinnertime came and Sarah told them that she and Erin are gonna eat in her room, taking a tray and putting food on it before taking it upstairs.

"So?" Erin asked as Sarah put the food tray on her table.

"They're eating downstairs...I told my brother you said hi." said Sarah, making Erin laugh.

"Hey...I'm sorry for doing this..." said Erin.

"I told you it's fine...it is kinda fun actually, us ganging up on him." Erin said as they start eating when they heard some scratching noise on the door. Sarah stood up and opened the door, surprised when they saw Marty running inside, excited to be joining the girls. "Marty!" yelled Sarah.

Erin opened her arms and welcomed the dog."Relax...at least we have some company with us." she said as she gave the dog a small morsel of food from her plate. "Here you go boy...you are so sweet." she said as Marty rested his head on her lap, behaving so he would receive more treats from the girls.

"You be a good boy or we'll throw you out like my brother, you got that?" Sarah said to the dog. Marty wagged his tail and barked at his sister, telling her he understands. "Good...now let's eat." she said, giving another bite-sized treat to her dog.

After dinner and cleaning up, Sarah took the tray downstairs to wash the dishes and utensils before coming back up to her room.

After a few hours, Sarah and Erin were already lying on the bed with Marty in between them, getting ready to sleep when they heard a knock on the door. Sarah stood up to open in, finding her brother on the other side.

"Erin doesn't want to talk to you." she said.

Erin turned around and got off the bed, putting her robe on to face her boyfriend. "William, what are doing?" she said.

William quickly grabbed her hand, pulling her towards him. "I'm here to get my girlfriend back." he said, leading her back into his room.

"But!?" Erin said, unable to resist her boyfriend.

"No buts..." he said as they entered the room, closing the door before facing her. "I'm sorry we fought." he added as he pulled her close, kissing her passionately on the lips.

Erin was surprised but found herself unable to resist her boyfriends advances. "Woah...slow down..." she said, trying to catch her breath.

"No way...I'm here to make it up to my girl." William said, pulling her to the side of the bed while starting to take her clothes off. Erin fought back, yanking off her boyfriend's shirt while feeling the excitement build up from inside of her.

"You know...I like you better this way..." she said as she started to catch her breath while William continued with his affections.

"What?" asked William as they laid on the makeshift bed on the floor.

"Taking charge and being on top." she said as she felt William move in, making her gasp for air.

"Shut up and kiss me." whispered William, glad that they finally made up with each other.

The young couple laid naked on the floor, breathing hard and smiling after having sex. Erin placed her head on his shoulder as William put his arms around her.

"I'm sorry we fought." said Erin.

"I'm sorry too." said William.

Erin moved up and kissed him on the lips. "Thank you babe." she said while smiling at him when she noticed William's luggage out of his cabinet. "Uh, why is your luggage out?" she asked.

"Oh...I booked a flight for tomorrow...I'm coming with you to New Jersey." said William.

"Really?" Erin said, glad to hear the news. "Thank you babe...you're so great! Does you mom and dad know?"

"Yeah...I told them over dinner...my mom's fine with it...I mean my dad's already out of the hospital so...it's time." he said before sitting up and leading her back on the bed. "Come on...let's get some sleep so we won't be late at the airport tomorrow." he said.

Erin joined her boyfriend, snuggling up to him to feel his warmth as they slowly drifted off to sleep, glad to have made it up with each other.

The next day...

"I'm sorry Sarah...I know I promised to teach you how to drive but we have to go back to New Jersey." Erin said, hugging the young lady.

"Hey it's alright...my mom can teach me...right mom?" said Sarah, glancing at Penny.

"Yeah...fine..." Penny said, before stepping forward to hug her son and Erin. "You take care of yourself sweetheart...I'm gonna miss you." she said.

"I'll miss you too mom." William said, while hugging his mother, before turning to his sister and hugging her too. "Bye sis...just don't kill dad again okay?" he said, making them all laugh.

"That's not funny." Sarah said while hugging her brother.

"You guys just have a safe flight alright?" Leonard said while shaking his son's hand and hugging Erin.

"We will Dr. Hofstadter...and we'll call you once we arrive in New Jersey." said Erin as William took their luggage and opened the front door.

"Let's go...the cab is already here." William said, as Erin took her luggage and followed him out of the house. Leonard, Penny and Sarah followed them to the sidewalk as they load their stuff in the trunk of the cab.

"Call us when you arrive okay?" Penny told her son as she wiped her tears.

"Yes mom...don't worry about us...we'll be fine." said William, kissing his mother's cheek.

"Bye Mrs. Hofstadter...thanks for having me." Erin said, hugging Penny one last time as William got inside the cab. "Bye Sarah." she added before following her boyfriend in the backseat.

"Bye guys." Sarah said, waving at the young couple as the cab driver put the car in-gear before slowly steering the car off the side of the road.
