Episode 257: Rayquaza vs Deoxys
A few hours came and went after leaving Bamba Island, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel had arrived to the next island and departed to do some exploring and some training. They went down in the forest in the middle of the island to do some training.
"This spot should do," Sora said.
"A perfect spot to train for both your Gym battle and for the Grand Festival," Kairi said.
"How right you are," Sora agreed. He turned to his partner. "Ready Pikachu?"
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Great! !" Sora said, letting out Grovyle, Combusken, Marshtomp, Dusclops, and Shuppet. "You guys ready?" All of his Pokémon nodded. "Then, let's get started!" Sora's Pokémon started their training. Grovyle was sparring with Pikachu as Combusken was sparing with Marshtomp, and Shuppet was sparring with Dusclops. Pikachu and Grovyle were matching their speed as Combusken and Marshtomp were doing some punching and dodging as Dusclops used Shadow Ball and Shuppet dodges. Kairi was doing some training of her own. She trains hard to prepare for the Grand Festival.
"Okay Angel! Swift! Plusle and Minun! Thunderbolt! Togedemaru! Zing Zap! Roselia! Petal Blizzard! Surskit! Use Bubble!" Kairi ordered. All of Kairi's Pokémon used the attacks she told them to use and they all came out wonderully.
They trained for hours unaware of the events that could take place. Somewhere on the island sleeps a strange reddish-orange alien-like Pokémon with a greenish-blue face, and three greenish-blue dots on its back arranged in a triangle. It has four tentacle-like arms that are reddish-orange and greenish-blue. It also has a purple stripe on its face and a purple crystal on its chest. It also has a stubby tail. This Pokémon is known as Deoxys and it opens its eyes and levitated to investigate the island.
Elsewhere on the island, Lillie, Elio, and Selene are doing some investigating on the island as well. Snowy, a Brionne, and a Torracat are let out and they are ahead, leading their trainers.
"You sure this is the island Professor Redwood wanted us to look into?" Elio asked.
"It is as I kept telling you. There rumors flying around these islands about the sightings of an alien-like Pokémon, I think they're all bogus, but the professor wants us to report our findings," Selene said.
"Yeah, yeah," Eliio said.
They kept going when Lillie heard something ahead of them and stopped. The Pokémon also ade a stop.
"Why did you stop for, Lillie?" Selene asked.
"It might be what we're looking for," Lillie whispered. Elio and Selene both nodded and they crept quietly, not making any noise.
It turns out that they were near where Sora and Kairi were doing their training. The ears of Pikachu and Angel twitched and they turned to the bushes behind them. THe other Pokémon heard it as well. Sora and Kairi wondered what was wrong when they heard some rustling in the same bushes.
"Sora, I think someone or something is here with us," Kairi whispered to her boyfriend.
"It could be probably be Team Rocket getting better with their surprise attacks, or maybe someone from Team Magma or Team Aqua or maybe a wild Pokémon lurking around. Whatever and who ever it is, we'll have to flush it out," Sora whispered back.
"Right," Kairi whispered. They looked at the Pokémon couple and sent them in to look into it. Pikachu's cheeks start sparkling as Angel stood her ground along with him. Pikachu heads in and rustling occurs when Pikachu and Torracat both came out duking it out. Pikachu kicks Torracat off, but Torracat comes back at.
"A Torracat?" Kairi asked.
"Pikachu! Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings his tail right at the fire cat Pokémon when Brionne came out and fires Bubble Beam at them, breaking them up.
"A Brionne too?!" Sora asked.
"Torracat!" A familiar voice called out. Sora and Kairi knew who it was. He and the girls all came out of the bushes and stopped in their tracks when they saw them. "Not what we're looking for, but I'll take it." Lillie was very happy to see her friends again.
"Sora! Kairi!" Lillie cried.
"Lillie!" Sora and Kairi also cried and they went up to the blonde.
"It's really you!" Lillie cried.
"We missed you, Lillie," Kairi said.
"I did too," Lillie said. Sora turned to her research fellows.
"Elio, Selene! Good to see you agin," Sora said.
"Right back at you," Elio said.
"We haven't seen you since we were at Rustboro City," Selene said.
"How is everything back in Alola?" Kairi asked.
"Everyone there are doing well. Some of their Gyms have already been finished. Also, Professor Burnet has given birth to a boy," Lillie said, showing the couple a photo of the professors and their baby. He had his father's looks and his mother's eyes. Sora and Kairi both smiled.
"Oh, he's so precious, I wanna meet that baby so bad," Kairi cooed.
"We will when we get to Alola, Kairi," Sora promised. Lillie looked at the Pokémon they all had and noticed some of them had evolved.
"Looks like you're doing well," Lillie said.
"Sure have," Sora said. Lillie walked over to Togedemaru and smiled.
"You remind me of a certain Togedemaru that a friend of mine has, but bigger," Lillie said. She looked over to the Eeevee next to Pikachu. "And who is this?"
"Lillie, I wanna introduce you to Angel. Angel, this is Lillie and that little Vulpix is Snowy," Kairi introduced. Snowy and Angel walked up to each other
"It's very nice to meet you at last, Snowy. Pikachu has told me a lot about you." - Angel subtitle.
"I don't doubt it. Also, I'm happy to make your acquaintance, Angel." - Snowy subtitle. Both Angel and Snowy both hit it off just like Pikachu knew they would. She turned to see Plusle and Minun as they waved to her. She turned to see Roselia, Surskit, and Shuppet as Dusclops picked up Torracat.
Sora and Kairi shared some events that happened since they parted ways again. Sora shown them his six Gym Badges as Kairi shows them all five of her ribbons.
"Wow, six Gym Badges and Five Contest Ribbons. No surprise you're doing awesome," Elio said.
"Since Kairi has five ribbons, that means she's all set to enter the Grand Festival. And Sora just needs to earn two more Gym Badges," Selene said.
"You got that right," Sora said, putting his badges away. "Not gonna lie, those Gym battles were tough. The one Norman threw at me was one of the toughest." He rubbed his fingers through his spiky hair. "But that's why we train for our battles."
"That explains what you were doing here," Elio said.
"We're happy to see you too, but what brings you here?" Sora asked.
"We were sent here by Professor Redwood to investigate the island because of rumors flying around," Lillie explained.
"Rumors? Of what?" Kairi asked.
"We're not a hundred percent sure, but the thing is, we're looking into the strange sightings of a mysterious Pokémon that is said to appeared here many years ago," Lillie said.
"A strange Pokémon? You mean like an Ultra Beast?" Sora asked.
"No, no, nothing like that. It didn't come from Ultra Space, but it came from outer space," Lillie said.
"That's a relief, because I kinda almost forgot about them," Sora said.
"Me too. The Pokémon we're talking about is known as Deoxys. It was discovered about over ten years ago as it came crashing down. Just before it a physical appearence, a strange aurora was sighted above the sky. The scientist who made the discovery is known as Professor Lund. He made contact with Professor Redwood a few days ago and asked us to look into the matter personally and report our findings," Lillie explained.
"Deoxys, huh?" Sora asked himself. She took out his Pokédex and looked up Deoxys. The image on his Pokédex shows u. Along with the primary form are other forms. One form its legs remain tapered. However, its blue stripes are no longer segmented and run the entire length of the leg and there is now a large spike on the knee. Two pairs of whip-like tentacles with pointed tips, one reddish-orange and one blue, replace its previous coiled, blunted tentacles. The protrusions on its head are now triangular with an additional one extending from the top of its head. Most of its reddish-orange skin has receded, revealing a striated, black chest and abdomen. Finally, its tail is now longer and more pointed. One form has bulky, wide legs that are somewhat flat at the end with a bluish-green spot on each knee. It retains its two pairs of red and blue tentacles, but they are now flat and broad. The head has fused with its body and all protrusions are gone, causing it to resemble a helmet. The reddish-orange skin now covers the entire body, so none of its inner black portions are visible. There is now a single blue stripe on each shoulder, and its tail has disappeared. And the last form has a sleek black body with thin striation. The reddish-orange skin now covers only its head, hip joints, and the area around its crystal. There is now only one tentacle on each side of its body, one red and one blue. The protrusions on its head now point upward and the back of its head now forms a long spike. There is a long, thick blue stripe running down the center of this longer protrusion. More blue stripes appear on either hip joint and on its legs.
Deoxys, the DNA Pokémon
Type: Psychic
Deoxys emerged from a virus that came from space. It is highly intelligent and wields psychokinetic powers. This Pokémon shoots lasers from the crystalline organ on its chest.
"What's with these?" Sora asked, showing Lillie the image of Deoxys.
"Those are the forms Deoxys goes through," Lillie said, pointing to one by one. "That one there is its Attack Form. That one is its Defense Form, and the fourth one is its Speed Form. Can transforms itself into those forms it chooses. Also, Deoxys has the ability to heal itself."
"Deoxys can heal itself?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. Professor Lund made the discovery when the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza came down from the sky and attacked Deoxys. It saw Deoxys as an invader since it claims the earth's ozone layer as its territory. It was a terrible battle between the two of them," Lillie explained.
"Whoa," Sora simply said.
"Tell me about it. The battle between those two caused so much destruction," Elio said.
"Geez," Sora said. Sora looked up Rayquaza in his Pokédex to get information on Rayquaza. The image on his Pokédex shows a long green serpentine Pokémon with yellow eyes. It has pink lining on the mouth. It has yellow, linked, circular markings on its entire body.
Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokémon
Type: Dragon/Flying
There is a legend that speaks that it has quelled the raging battle between Groudon and Kyogre. The battle between the two Pokémon caused all sorts of natural disasters around the world until Rayquaza descended from the heavens and put a halt between the titans of land and sea.
"That must have some epic battle," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away. "Did you find any signs of Deoxys at all?"
"We thought we did until we bumped into you," Elio said.
"I'm pretty skeptical about it because I still think those tabloids made all that up. For all we know it could be a wild goose chase," Selene said.
"Sorry if we got in the way," Kairi apologized.
"Don't apologize, we're just happy to see you," Lillie said. Elio stood up on his feet.
"Say Sora, there's something I wanna do, but never had the chance to do it," Elio said.
"Okay, what?" Sora asked. Elio grinned and points his finger at Sora.
"What I want is a Pokémon battle with you, Sora. Let's make it a three-on-three Pokémon battle! What do you say?" Elio asked. Sora stood up on his feet.
"Sure thing, Elio. Just know, I don't plan on pulling my punches with you," Sora said.
"I don't want you to, Sora. I expect you to gimme what you've got," Elio said. Sora calls back his five Pokémon as he gets ready for that battle with Elio. The girls sat down as they watch the battle. "You can make the first choice, Sora."
"Thanks," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go for it, Shuppet!" His Pokéball opens and Shuppet floats out ready to battle. Elio smirked as he gets a Pokéball out and threw it.
"Go for it, Metang!" Elio called out and out came a Pokémon that appears to be a living robot levitating through the air with a disc shaped body. It has two red eyes and a pointy sliver nose. It has two circle shaped arms and there are three silver claws coming out of each one. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Metang, the Iron Claw Pokémon
The evolved form of Beldum
Type: Steel/Psychic
It is said that Metang has two brains that are joined by a magnetic nervous system. By linking its brains magnetically, this Pokémon generates strong psychokinetic power. It turns its arms to the rear for traveling at high speed.
"Beldum's evolved from, huh? Why send it out if it's a Psychic Type Pokémon? Couold he have something planned? Better watch my step," Sora said in his thouoghts.
"Metang! Start up with Metal Claw!" Elio ordered. Metang came at the puppet Pokémon ready to strike.
"Shuppet! Block with Psychic!" Sora ordered. Shuppet blocks Metang with Psychic and has a hard time holding it due to its large size. Shuppet sends the iron claw Pokémon straight to the ground. Metang uses its arms to get out of the ground. "Now use Hex!" Shuppet forms Hex and sends it right at Metang.
"Dodge it and use Thunder Punch!" Elio ordered. Metang threw an electrified punch right at Shuppet.
"Dodge it, Shuppet and use Feint Attack!" Sora ordered. Shuppet vanishes and reppears and lands a hit onto Metang. "Now use Night Shade!"
"Metang! Meteor Mash!" Elio ordered. Metang swings its iron claw right at Shuppet and landed a hit. Shuppet lands on the ground, taken some heavy damage. "How you like that, Sora? My Metang isn't afraid of any Ghost Type Pokémon."
"Not bad, Elio. You trained your Metang right," Sora said. He looked right at Shuppet. "You think you can go on?" Shuppet got bacfk up and started to evolve. Shuppet turned into a dark gray Pokémon that looks like a possessed doll. Its mouth has the appearance of a yellow zipper and it has a yellow star shaped tail. On the back of its head there is a "zigzag line". The girls were astounded by Shuppet's evolution.
"Shuppet," Kairi simply said.
"Shuppet evolved into a Banette," Lillie said.
"So cool. Scary but cool," Selene said.
"Let's see what Dexdette says about you," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex and scanned his newly evolved Pokémon.
Banette, the Marionette Pokémon
The evolved form of Shuppet
Type: Ghost
A cursed energy permeated the stuffing of a discarded and forgotten plush doll, giving it new life as Banette. The Pokémon's energy would escape if it were to ever open its mouth.
"Wow, that is scary," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away. "Speaking of scary, is your Metang scared now?"
"Not a chance. Your Banette won't scare me away that easily. Metang! Meteor Mash!" Elio ordered. Metang swung its claw right at the newly evolved marionette Pokémon.
"Banette! Dodge and use Hex!" Sora ordered. Banette avoids Metang's Meteor Mash and hits Metang with Hex. "Now use Shadow Ball!" Banette forms Shadow Ball and hurls it right at Metang. It lands a hit. "Now use Psychic!" Banette uses Psychic and slams Metang right to the ground. Psychic became even stronger after evolving. Metang had been taken out. Elio calls back his fallen Metang.
"You did your best, Metang. Get yourself a good rest," Elio said. He puts Metang's Pokéball away and takes out another Pokéball. "That was awesome, so here's a Pokémon I caught while in the Galar region. Go for it, Meowth!" He threw it and his Galarian Meowth comes out. Sora calls his Banette back and takes out another Pokéball.
"So, it's a Galarian Meowth, huh? The Pokémon I'm sending out now is Marshtomp!" Sora called out and his Marshtomp comes out to battle. "Marshtomp, use your Mud Shot!" The mud fish Pokémon fires right at Meowth with a ball of mud.
"Meowth! Use your Seed Bomb!" Elio ordered. Meowth fires Seed Bomb righ at Marshtomp and lands a heavy blow due to his weakness to Grass Type attacks. "Now use Shadow Claw!" Moewth's claws emits a shadowy aura and comes at Marshtomp.
"Marshtomp! Use Water Pulse!" Sora ordered. Marshtomp forms a ball of water and hurls it right at Meowth, but it slashes through the ball of water, like it was a melon and lands a hit onto Marshtomp.
"Now use another Seed Bomb!" Elio ordered. Meowth fires Seed Bomb and it lands another blow onto Marshtomp and it was enough to knock the mud fish Pokémon out. Sora calls back his Marshtomp.
"Not bad, Elio," Sora said. "You're not half bad."
"Same with you,' Sora. But let's make the final round a battle between our partners," Elio suggetsed.
"I like the sound of that," Sora said. He turned to his partner. "You're up, Pikachu."
"Pika," Pikachu said. Elio turned to Torracat after calling back his Meowth.
"Okay, Torracat. You're up," Elio said. Torracat purrs and stood before the mouse Pokémon ready to battle. "Okay Torracat! Start up with Flame Charge!" Torracat charges towards Pikachu with Flame Charge.
"Dodge it with Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Torracat's Flame Charge using Quick Attack. "Now use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings at the fire cat Pokémon with Iron Tail. "Now use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu fires Thunderbolt to strike Torracat.
"Dodge it!" Elio called out. Torracat avoids Pikachu's attack due to Torracat's use of Flame Charge. "Now use Fire Fang!" The fire cat Pokémon comes at the mouse Pokémon with its teeth emitting fire.
"Dodge it, Pikachu!" Sora called out. Pikachu would have dodged, but Torracat came too fast for Pikachu to dodge in time.
"Great! Now use Shadow Claw!" Elio ordered. Torracat's claw emits a shadowy aura and comes at Pikachu.
"Quick Attack and Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodges with Quick Attack and lands an Iron Tail onto Torracat. "Now use Electro Ball!" Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and hurls it right at Torracat. An explosion occured. Smoke cleared and Torracat is seen knocked out from Pikachu's Electro Ball. Elio was stunned to see his partner Pokémon beaten and he had lost.
"Now way! You're better than I remember," Elio said. He calls his Torracat back inside its Pokéball. "I had fun battling you, Sora."
"Thanks. I did too, Elio," Sora said.
"I would like to have a rematch with you sometime," Elio said.
"Sure. Just get stronger the next time," Sora said.
Both Sora and Elio both shook hands, promising each other a good battle next time. Kairi, Lillie, and Selene knew a new rivalry had formed between the two.
Over to Team Rocket in a town on one of the islands around Mossdeep City, they finally have the means of making contact with HQ, but there was a slight problem: they couldn't make contact at all. They have been having this problem for the last several days.
"I don't believe this! Every time we try to get through, it just blocks us out. What the hell is going on?! It's gotta be pretty stupid if it's not knowing us!" Jessie exclaimed.
"Something must be up, so they must have not to take any risks being detected or something," James said.
"That could be it. Just like that operation we were sent to on that one mission to Celadon City and our operation got blown because of an undercover cop," Meowth said.
"We'll just have to try again later since we still have a job to do," James said.
"You're right," Jessie said, turning their new communicator off. "It's not like they were gonna answer anyway." Hours later in the local park, Jessie and Meowth are sleeping soundly, but James is still awake and he gets up. He looked up to the sky and wondered about the future between him and Jessie. They've been working together as colleagues ever since they were recruited to Team Rocket, and they have been a couple in a short time, but he wanted to make plans for himself and Jessie. He took his bottle cap collection and went on a walk to clear his head. As he took his late stroll, he notices a store still open late in the night. He walked in and saw the clerk sitting at the counter smiling.
"Hello there. Out late, are ya?" The clerk asked.
"Just needed something to think about," James said.
"Let me guess, the future right?" The clerk asked. James turned to him with a puzzled look on his face. "I've seen that look before, I know it when I see it. Lots of guys I know has a ard time deciding what to do with their lives. You're no different. Wanna talk about it? It might help get it off your chest."
"Well, if you insist, I've been in a relationship wtih a woman for a short amount of time years after meeting each other," James explained.
"Ah, so it's romance related. Not surprising that I get one of those. You two had a fight or something?" The clerk asked.
"Several, but that's not it. And as you may have guessed it involves the future. I don't know if there is a future between the two of us. I mean, we're on the road so long and then when we get married and bring a kid in this world, always having it tag along. I mean, what kind of future is that?"
"Not a good one if you haven't thought it through, pal. I'm not gonna tell you what to do, but I am going to make a suggestion to you. What I'm suggesting is that you make a decision and make it stick. You could just find yourselves a good house and settle down, that way it might be easy to raise a family," the clerk said. James thought for a moment and ran his fingers through his hair.
"Still, I don't know," James said. He looked at a gold ring and sees a crimson red jewel engraved into it. The ring itself is gold. He bends on his knees and presses his face against the glass. "What a ring!" The clerk chuckled.
"I take it that you like what you see, right?" The clerk asked.
"How much? How much?" James asked.
"Ah, you just had to get right to the point. But, it might kill you to hear that you couldn't afford this ring even if lived to be a thousand years old," the clerk said. James's heart sank. "But, if money's an issue, then I might trade you something for it."
"Trade?" James asked.
"Sure. Anything you got is fine," the clerk said.
"Anything?" James asked unsure.
"Anything. The sky's the limit," the clerk said. James was uncertain. The only he had that was any value to him was his bottle cap collection. He had been collecting all sorts of bottle caps. He loved his bottle cap collection more than a big pot of gold, but the thing is, he loves Jessie a whole lot more. It was hard for him to part with something that means the world to him, but he loves Jessie a whole more and he was gonna prove it by giving his bottle caps away.
"Forgive me, my friends. I don't want to part with you, but your sacrifice will be for a noble cause," James said. Even though he is evil, he couldn't believe he just said that. He gave the clerk the box. He took the box and opened it up to see the contents. He whistles.
"Quite a haul. It must have taken you quite a while to get your mitts on these," the clerk said.
"I know it's not much, but it's all I got," James said. The clerk took the ring and placed in a small black ring box and he handed it to James. "You're just giving it to me? Just like that?"
"Yeah. I could tell how hard it was for you, and you made quite a sacrifice for this woman. Guys like you would sell their right arm just to see them happy. And I know you'll make her happy," the clerk said. James smiled as he accept the ring and placed it in his pocket.
"Thank you," James said.
"Happy to be of help," the clerk said. James left the store and walked back in the direction he came from. The clerk looked out the window with a big grin. "Good luck, buddy." James made his way to the park to find Jessie and Meowth still slepping. He laid back down next to her as Jessie stirs awake.
"James, where did you go?" Jessie asked very sleepy.
"Just for a walk. Nohing you need to concern yourself. Go back to sleep," James told her and planted a kiss on her cheek. That was only the half-truth. Meowth opened one eye and knew James was up to something. He shuts that eye and sleeps soundly.
Back on the island where, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Lillie, Elio, and Selene were, they made a stop to camp for the night. Snowy woke up a bit and saw how Pikachu and Angel were sleeping lovingly together. They both held tails like they were holding hands. Snowy thought it was a very sweet sight to see. Snowy went back to sleep, but not one of them knew Deoxys was watching them from above and set off.
As they woke up, they did some looking around the island after a good breakfast. So far what they found were some wild Tropius and Kecleon living in the forest. Elio didn't waste any time catching a Tropius and a Kecleon for his own.
The group searched for hours and so far, they found nothing.
"How hard is it to find a Pokémon that looks like something yu see in those Star Wars movies?" Elio asked.
"Deoxys might be common in outer space, so it's gotta be a rare Pokémon on our planet. Also, it might just be too easy of it just shows up right in front of us," Sora said.
"He's right, Elio. You remember we had our share of elusive Pokémon during our other outings, right?" Lillie asked.
"Well, I just wanna see it," Elio said.
"Me too. Deoxys has to be a pretty cool Pokémon and we get to see what it could do," Sora said.
Deoxys was following the group and it had been careful so far. It followed the group all through the island, and disappeared when Pikachu and Angel both turned around and saw nothing.
In outer space, Rayquaza detects something odd and heads down to the planet's atmosphere to look into it.
Back on the island, the group keep looking around when they suddenly heard a loud roar. Sora, Kairi, Lillie, Elio, and Selene had to cover their ears as did the Pokémon couple. Deoxys went to see what was it was all about. The group made their way through the forest and saw something come down. It was indeed Rayquaza.
"Rayquaza!" Sora, Kairi, Lillie, Elio, and Selene exclaimed.
"What is it doing here? Rayquaza only leaves the ozone layer when it feels threatened," Lillie stated.
"Well, something definitely threatened it," Sora said. Deoxys flew, captivating the group. "Is that what I think it is?"
"It is. It's Rayquaza," Lillie said.
"That must have to be why Rayquaza is here. A Deoxys just like you said," Kairi said.
"And I thought it was a hoax, but it's been true the whole time," Selene said. Elio takes out his smartphone and starts recording it.
Rayquaza fires Hyper Beam to strike at Deoxys. Deoxys transforms into its Speed Form and avoids Hyper Beam. Deoxys then changes into its Attack Form and creates a glowing multi-colored ball of energy in between its tentacles and fires it at Rayquaza. It struck the sky high Pokémon and goes crashing down to the ground. Rayquaza gets back up and roars in anger. It takes flight and fires another Hyper Beam, striking Deoxys. A chunk of the alien-like Pokémon comes off and then regenerates itself.
"Did you see that?" Elio asked.
"Deoxys's wounds healed faster than normal," Selene said.
"What was that attack Deoxys just threw at Rayquaza?" Sora asked.
"That was Psycho Boost. Deoxys is the only known Pokémon who can perform that attack. I never would have thought I would see it with my own eyes," Lillie said.
"So awesome," Elio said, still recording.
Rayquaza comes at Deoxys to swipe at it, but Deoxys transforms into its Defense Form and forms a protective barrier. Rayquaza shatters the shield and Deoxys regains its default form, but changes into its Speed Form again as Rayquaza fires another Hyper Beam right at Deoxys, but the DNA Pokémon dodges again. Deoxys switches into Attack Form and fires another Psycho Boost at Rayquaza, landing a hit. Rayquaza fires another Hyper Beam as it strikes Deoxys again, but took out both its legs. Deoxys regenerates its legs and transforms into its Speed Form and darts towards the sky high Pokémon and switches into its Attack Form and lands a Zen Headbutt onto the green dragon-like Pokémon.
"Deoxys just used Zen Headbutt!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"It doesn't look like Rayquaza is going down that easily," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Rayquaza fires Hyper Beam again as Deoxys changes into its Speed Form again and avoids Hyper Beam. Rayquaza fires another Hyper Beam and Deoxys changes into its Defense Form and creates a protective barrier and takes Hyper Beam head on. Rayquaza comes at Deoxys again with another Dragon Claw and swipes at Deoxys, causing a chunk of Deoxys body to come off, only for Deoxys to heal itself again. Deoxys fires another Psycho Boost at Rayquaza and it avoids it. It struck some trees on the island, scaring the local Pokémon out of their homes. Deoxys changes into its Speed Form and darts at Rayquaza, but the sky high Pokémon comes at the DNA Pokémon and both landed a hit onto one another, causing some damage. Rayquaza crashes into the ground and Deoxys fires Psycho Boost again and it struck Rayquaza again and again. Rayquaza roars in pain from the assault, but quickly regains its second wind and flew at the alien-like Pokémon again. Deoxys flew in the opposite direction, making Rayquaza chase after it. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Lillie, Elio, and Selene watched as they flew above them. Rayquaza struck with Dragon Pulse and it makes Deoxys fall right in front of them. Rayquaza charges right towards Deoxys with great force of its entire body.
"RUN!" Sora yelled. The rest of the group didn't need to be told twice and they ran fast and ends up being caught in the blast when Rayquaza and Deoxys made contact with each other. "WHOA!" Sora lands on his head as Kairi and Lillie tried to keep their skirts down and Elio lands on his face. Pikachu lands on top of Angel. Pikachu opens his eyes and see the female Eevee looking back at him and he saw her injured. Pikachu was a little more injured than she was.
"Are you okay, Angel? You're not too hurt are you?" - Pikachu subtitle.
"I'm fine, Pikachu. It's you I'm more worried about." - Angel subtitle. She nuzzles Pikachu's cheek and the mouse Pokémon took her in his arms.
They barely got on their feet, feeling pretty tender from the blast.
"Uh, did somebody get the license plate of the monster truck that just hit us?" Sora asked in a daze. Rayquaza roars, catching his attention and sees its body wrapped around the alien-like Pokémon. Deoxys's arms were wrapped up, unable to use Psycho Boost to hit it. Rayquaza prepares to finish off the DNA Pokémon, but it wasn't finished yet because Deoxys uses Psychic to move Rayquaza's head and fired Hyper Beam straight up into the sky. Deoxys breaks loose and changes into its Speed Form and dashes right into the sky. Rayquaza chases after it, but Deoxys stops and turns as it changes into its Attack Form and fires Psycho Boost again and it strikes Rayquaza hard. The sky high Pokémon falls right into the sea. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Lillie, Elio, and Selene were at awe to the epic battle between the two Pokémon. Deoxys flew straight up to the sky and back to outer space.
It was the most incredible thing they have ever seen. A legendary Pokémon went up against a Pokémon that came from possibly from another planet. Elio stopped recording and puts his smartphone back in his pocket.
"I gotta say, that was pretty awesome," Sora said.
"Despite us getting caught in the blast, I'll have to agree. Rayquaza really didn't like having that Deoxys around here," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"You think Rayquaza is going to be okay?" Selene asked.
"I'm sure it is. Rayquaza will return back to the ozone layer once it is fully recovered," Lillie said. With that said, they took off. They went to the docks as Sora and Kairi were getting ready to depart to Mossdeep City as Lillie, Elio, and Selene were heading back to the mainland to catch a plane. "I'm just sad to be apart from you again."
"Don't be, Lillie. Just remember the Wayfinders," Sora said, taking his out. Kairi and Lillie all did the same.
"We're never truly apart from one another," Lillie said, with tears running down her cheek.
"We're going to meet again," Kairi said.
"I hope we get to catch you at the Grand Festival and the Hoenn Pokémon League," Elio said.
"If not, then we will be rooting for the both of you," Selene said.
"Thanks, you guys!" Sora said.
"We hope we get to see you soon!" Kairi said.
"Me too!" Lillie said.
They parted ways once again and headed to their separate paths. Even though they were reunited with each other in such a short time, but Sora and Kairi knew the path they're on will cross with Lillie's again.
Over to Team Rocket, they had found some Team Magma members and took their uniforms to infiltrate their organization.
"Okay boys, ready?" Jessie asked.
"You betcha!" Meowth said.
"Infiltrating Team Magma and posing as their own was a brilliant idea, Jess," James complimented her. Jessie blushes, but quickly shook it off as they snuck in.
Over to Team Aqua, Genghis and Kahnnie were able to pose as grunts without having to blow their cover despite doing some work around their operations. Shelly was strolling down, thinking about the image she saw of Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre in an intense clash. She couldn't help but wonder if she had been making a huge mistake after all.
"Is it really worth it? Is it worth destroying the world all because of a pipe dream?" Shelly asked in her thoughts. Ever since the Weather Institution incident, those thoughts have haunted her greatly.
Genghis and Kahnnie managed to learn what they could about Team Aqua's plan to make the world into one huge ocean, but they had to find Jessie, James, and Meowth about Giovanni's betrayal.
Little Sora and Kairi knew, the next battle between Groudon and Kyogre were drawing closer, so are they going to get caught in the middle and can they hope to put a stop to Team Magma's and Team Aqua's evil plan before it's too late? The answers will come further on.
