Episode 261: Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre
Deep in the ocean, Rayquaza is still unconscious. It suddenly opens its eyes, knowing something was about to happen. Rayquaza knew for certain it was about to happen. Rayquaza swims through the ocean and bursts out of the sea as Rayquaza flew towards the sky.
Back on Ganga Island, Sora and Kairi continued training as their friends watched on.
"They're getting pretty good," Amy said.
"They have to be if they want to be ready for anything other than Pokémon Contests and Gym battles," Davis said.
"What do you mean?" Amy asked.
"Sora thought it would be a good idea to train just to prepare for anything coming their way. He said he wanted to be prepared for anything coming their way. Lillie and the others thought it was a good idea so they went along with it," Davis explained.
"You mean those friends from Alola that you told me about?" Amy asked.
"Yeah. Lillie is working as a research assistant for Professor Redwood along with two other kids named Elio and Selene. Sora and Kairi saw them just before meeting up with them just before we met," Davis said.
"Lillie must be nice," Amy said.
"Trust me, you'd like her," Davis said. She wouldn't be the only one since Davis is blushing deeply when he's talking to her. Amy was doing the same. Kari and the other girls were liking where this was going. Tai was tending to Flygon, giving it the Pokémon food Kairi had made just recently.
"Here you go. Does that taste good?" Tai asked. Flygon ate it happily and smiled. "I'll take that for a yes." He rubs Flygon on the head.
Crawdaunt made good work of his Crabhammer attack as well as Pikachu made good work of Iron Tail and Electro Ball. Sora and Kairi both exchanged their Pokémon through his Pokédex once more. Delcatty and Roserade for Milotic and Beautifly as Sora exchanged Breloom, Medicham, Dustox and Crawdaunt for Grovyle, Combusken, Marshtomp, and Vibrava. Just when they were setting off, Kairi notices her Gulpin was nowhere to be seen.
"Has anyone seen Gulpin?" Kairi asked with concern. "He was just here and now he's not." Everyone looked around for Gulpin.
"How could a small Pokémon go so far?" Matt asked. A small cry is heard and they went to investigate and saw Gulpin eating some berries in a nest belonging to a wild Linoone.
"Gulpin! No! That's bad!" Kairi scolded the stomach Pokémon. "Say you're sorry this minute!" Gulpin lets out a loud burp. "That is not an apology!" Gulpin looked at Linoone and picked a berry nearby and gave it to the rushing Pokémon. Gulpin then started to evolve. Everyone was surprised by another evolution. Gulpin had turned into a medium-sized purple Pokémon. He has red beady eyes and yellow whiskers. He has puckered lips and looks like he can fit an automobile tire in his mouth. His hands have three fingers. He has a single row of black rhombi running across his midsection. "Gulpin evolved."
"Wow! Your Gulpin evolved into a Swalot!" Max cheered. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned his girlfriend's newly evolved Pokémon.

Swalot has no teeth, so what it eats, it swallows whole, no matter what. Its cavernous mouth yawns widely. An automobile tire could easily fit inside this Pokémon's mouth.
"At least Swalot won't worry about choking to death," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away. After evolving, Kairi calls Swalot back and get set to take off when a ferry arrived. Tai looked right at Flygon.
"I guess you wanna come along, right?" Tai asked. Flygon nodded. He took out a Pokéball and threw it at Flygon, making it flow inside. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "Welcome to the team, Flygon."
Everyone boarded the ferry as it departs for Mossdeep City. All the couples were enjoying the cruise. All of the single boys were partaking in the buffet. Davis was enjoying the cruise along with Amy as they both held hands. Amy was enjoying every minute she was with Davis. He was doing the same.
Not too far Team Magma's mobile base sails through the ocean. Maxie gazes upon the Red Orb in his possession.
"Soon everything will be all set. My destiny will finally be realized," Maxie said. Tabitha walks in his office.
"Maxie, sir!" Tabitha said.
"What is it?" Maxie asked.
"We detected a ferry coming this way," Tabitha said.
"Team Aqua?" Maxie asked.
"I doubt it. They might be using it as some sort of disguise," Tabitha said.
"Prepare a boarding party. Capture everyone on board," Maxie commanded.
"Yes sir!" Tabitha said, exiting the room. Maxie looks outside his window. "Nothing is to interfere with Team Magma's ultimate goal. Nothing."
Elsewhere on Team Aqua's mobile base, Jessie, James, Meowth, Genghis, and Kahnnie had arrived in disguise.
"Everyone ready?" Jessie asked.
"All set," James, Meowth, Genghis, and Kahnnie said. They headed back inside, not letting anyone know. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Lisia, and Steven snuck aboard their base before anyone would notice.
"Everyone ready?" Steven asked.
"Ready," Riku, Naminé, and Lisia said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
They ventured through Team Aqua's base ready to shut them down for good.
Over to the ferry bound for Mossdeep City, everyone were hitting the buffet to join in on Brendan, May, Max Joe, Cody, and Izzy for lunch.
"What a spread," Sora said, taking his plate.
"You're telling me, Sora," Davis said.
"Nothing like a good meal to go with a good cruise. I feel like nothing is gonna spoil it for us," Sora said.
He spoke too soon when Team Magma were preparing to board the ferry. Tabitha and Courtney were leading the attack, taking out their Pokéballs.
"Everyone all set?" Tabitha asked.
"Sir!" The grunts all said.
"Good. Everyone start boarding," Tabitha gave the word. Team Magma boarded the ferry and let out their Mightyena and Golbat. They captured some of the passengers on board. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Brendan, May, Max, Amy, Tai, Kari, and the rest had their meal interuppted when Team Magma entered.
"What the?!" Matt exclaimed.
"Team Magma!" Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Max, and Amy exclaimed.
"What are you doing here?!" Sora asked in an angry tone. Before he got his answer the Grunts took them with their capture devices. Courtney entered the dining room and grinned.
"Hello there, Sora. I haven't seen you since our last encounter on Mount Chimney. I haven't forgotten about our battle," Courtney said.
"If you're talking about the battle I whooped you in, then you would be right," Sora stated.
"Lucky for you, I'm not here for revenge. That'll come later," Courtney said. She turned to the grunts. "Move." They took their prisoners aboard their mobile base. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were taken before Maxie while the others were taken to their dungeon. Sora glared at the Team Magma leader with anger in his eyes.
"What's the meaning of this?" Maxie asked.
"These two are the ones who has foiled our attempt to acquire the meteorite on Mount Chimney. The boy here is that Pokémon League Champion: Sora Ketchum," Courtney announced. Maxie walked up to Sora.
"So, you're the famous Sora Ketchum. Your reputation had to preside you if you had bested Courntey in battle. Although I was expecting a Pokémon trainer with your reputation to be a little older," Maxie said.
"I'll take it that you're the guy who are pulling their strings?" Sora asked.
"Yes. My name is Maxie and I am indeed the leader of Team Magma. I have been looking forward to our meeting for quite sometime," Maxie said.
"What do you plan to do with our friends?" Kairi asked.
"Your friends will be safe. That of course depends on them. Now come. We have much to discuss," Maxie said. They were taken right into Maxie's office, unaware of a grunts lurking around. It was revealed to be Wallace working undercover.
Over to Team Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Lisia, and Steven searched for some clues about how they're going to use the Blue Orb.
"Look, Steven, is it? Just what's the big deal about these orbs?" Riku asked.
"The orbs were created many centuries ago by an ancient civilization to control the weather. They thought they could do so by controlling Groudon and Kyogre," Steven explained.
"Is that it?" Riku asked.
"Yes and more. They found that the power to control the Pokémon was beyond their control, so in the end, Kyogre and Groudon deatroyed them. They transformed into their Primal Forms and got into an epic clash. They alsmost destroyed the world in the process," Steven explained.
"Why would Team Aqua and Team Magma want power to destroy the world?" Naminé asked.
"They believe they have the power to make the world the way they want it. But in reality, it is power man should never wield. That is why the orbs were sealed away," Steven explained.
"Team Magma said they were looking for a red orb when they captured me. Could they have the orb they're looking for?" Lisia asked.
"Yes. And so has Team Aqua. That is why we must act fast before they end up making the same mistake," Steven said. Riku and Naminé it was anything but good. They had hoped Sora and Kairi weren't caught in the middle of it.
Their hopes meant nothing when Sora and Kairi were brought into Maxie's office with some Mightyena growling at them. Neither Sora or Kairi were afraid. Pikachu and Angel were afraid either.
"Just what's so special about some orb you're going on about?" Sora ssked. Maxie chuckled.
"So, you know about the Red Orb, I presume? I will be happy to oblige you, my boy. The Red Orb is to control Groudon. This magnificent Pokémon has the power to expand the land," Maxie said.
"Expand the land?!" Sora gasped.
"No, you can't! You'll only end up destroying the world!" Kairi said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Destroy the world? I'm afraid you misunderstand, young lady. I am not destroying the world. I am merely saving it," Maxie said.
"And how is drying up the entire ocean saving the world?! The planet needs all that water or else it'll die! The world won't just die, but all of the people and the Pokémon will all die, too!" Sora exclaimed, making the Mightyena growl.
"The ocean is harsh and cruel. The world will be better off without it. And you and her should consider yourselves lucky, since you will be witnessing history in the making," Maxie said. "The two of you shall be privileged to witness the birth of our brand new world."
"Sir, what shall we do with them?" A grunt asked.
"Take them to one of our suites. And make sure they are under heavy guard," Maxie instructed.
"Yes sir," the same grunt said. He took the couple by the arms. "Let's go, you two!"
Down in their cells, Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, and Mimi were sharing one cell as Davis, Amy, Yolei, Cody, Ken, Joe and Izzy were sharing another as Brendan, May, and Max were sharing another.
"Get us out of here!" Brendan yelled. He tried to break down the door, but failed miserably.
"That's enough, Brendan!" May pleaded. She grabbed him by the shoulder.
"Let me go!" Brendan demanded, trying to break out of her hold.
"Brendan please, forget it! It won't budge, no matter what you try!" May said. Brendan tries to get the door opened, but gave up.
"Any ideas on how we're gonna get out?" Ken asked.
"Not a clue," Izzy said.
"Man, I thought Team Rocket were bad, but these guys mean business," Davis said.
"Just who are they?" Yolei asked.
"Team Magma is one of the two criminal organizations operating here in the Hoenn region. The second one is Team Aqua. I never actually seen them, but I heard about them," Amy said.
"What do they want with Sora and Kairi?" Ken asked.
"Those two must have had some run-ins with them before. Just like that one girl said," Amy said.
"Whatever they were cooking up, it didn't sound good," Joe said.
"No it didn't. I heard that they went up to Mount Chimney to make the volcano erupt. I even heard Team Aqua took the research team hostage at the Weather Institute," Amy explained. Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, and Mimi were listening and they didn't like how it turned out. Just then, a loud bang is heard.
"What was that?!" Tai exclaimed.
"Like I would know," Matt said.
Just then, a hole is made on the side as a Team Magma grunt was about to make contact, but Wallace knocked him out before he could. He took the keys to the cells and unlocked them one-by-one. The doors open and they thought it was one of them.
"What do you want with us?" Tai asked.
"It's alright. I'm on your side," Wallace said, taking off his hood. Brendan immediately knew who it was.
"Wallace?! What are you doing here?" Brendan asked.
"I'm undercover. I came here to stop Team Magma misusing legendary Pokémon," Wallace said.
"Misusing legendary Pokémon?" Kari asked.
"There's no time to explain. Get out of here! Quickly!" Wallace said.
"How?" Mimi asked.
A Wailord emerged and gestures them to come.
"My Wailord will take you somewhere safe. Now hurry. Escape before it's too late!" Wallace told them. Tai, Kari, and their friends have gotten on the back of the whale-like Pokémon. Amy almost slipped off only for Davis to catch her.
"I got you!" Davis said, pulling her up.
"Thank you," Amy said.
Brendan, May, and Max were about to take off when May stopped him.
"Max, go with them," May told her little brother.
"No way! I'm going with you!" Max argued.
"Don't be stupid! You'll be in danger if you stick with us! Besides they can keep you safe!" May argued back. Max was about to argue some more when Brendan intervened.
"She's right, Max. What if something happened to you? We would be in loads of trouble with your parents. May and I can handle ourselves fine! Tai, Davis, and the other kids will keep an eye on you," Brendan said. "Now go!" Max had no choice but to listen to him and went to the Wailord with the other kids. The whale-like Pokémon swam off with the fourteen kids on its back. Brendan and May went to find Sora and Kairi.
Over to Team Aqua, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, and Lisia separated from Steven to cover more ground. As they ventured through, they bumped into Jessie, James, Meowth, Genghis, and Kahnnie. They stopped in their tracks when he saw them.
"Team Rocket?! What the hell are you idiots doing here?!" Riku exclaimed.
"Taking down Team Aqua of course!" Jessie sneered.
"What are you doing here?" James asked.
"Same thing. If you're here just to make your Team Rocket buddies look good, then you can buzz the hell off!" Riku said.
"You know each other?" Lisia asked.
"Hey, you were with the twerpy couple before!" Jessie said.
"They are my friends!" Lisia said.
Riku saw the two other Team Rocket members.
"I recognize you! You were at the Slowpoke Well back in Johto! Who else is here in Hoenn?!" Riku exclaimed.
"No one. It's just us, and we're no longer members of Team Rocket," Genghis said. Riku wasn't buying it.
"That's right. If we wanted payback, you would have been taken out!" Kahnnie said.
"You mean Riku would have been you taken out!" Naminé said.
"How stupid do you think I am? There's no way I would believe that you're no longer Team Rocket members! And there's no way I'm going to forgive you for kidnapping Naminé and my other friends!" Riku hissed.
"Vee!" Eevee also hissed.
"Look, we really don't care if you believe us or not! So, we're telling you the truth! Team Rocket sent us here to keep tabs on Team Magma and Team Aqua, but it was a dummy mission, and we were the dummies," Meowth said.
"What else is new?" - Eevee subtitle.
"Hey! Don't wisecrack with me!" Meowth yelled.
"So, like it or not, we have a common enemy. We're gonna pull the plug on Team Aqua's little plan, and it's the same with Team Magma! After that, we're heading back to Kanto and get payback on Team Rocket!" Jessie said.
"Make them pay through their noses and their asses!" James stated. Riku didn't trust them as far as his Incineroar could throw them. Although he wanted to see that, he had no choice but to give them the benefit of the doubt.
"I'll let you off the hook for right now. Double cross us, and it's the same as always!" Riku stated.
"We'll be on our best behavior," Jessie said.
"You can trust us," James said.
"And to prove it, both hands in front, not crossing our fingers," Meowth said.
"Same with us," Genghis said. Kahnnie nodded.
They were about to separate when they saw several Team Aqua grunts with some Crawdaunt out.
"Looks like we got ourselves some intruders and some spies in our ranks!" A female grunt said. Riku turned to his partner and took out a Pokéball. He threw it. "Go! Manectric!" His Pokéball opens and a dark gray color on most of its body. It also has a yellow mane-like structure on its head, yellow tuft on its front feet and haunches, and a bent dark purple tail. "Use Thunder!" Manectric fires Thunder shocking one of the Crawdaunt, making the other one charge. "Eevee! Swift!" Eevee fires Swift, striking it. The grunts lets out some more Crawdaunt to deal with them. Jessie, James, Genghis, and Kahnnie decided to join in.
"Go! Arbok! Seviper! Dustox!" Jessie called out, letting her Pokémon out. James took out his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Weezing! Victreebel! Cacnea! Chimecho!" James called out.
"I choose you, Mareanie!" Genghis called out.
"Join in, Mimikyu!" Kahnnie called out.
All of their Pokémon came out to battle the Team Aqua Crawdaunt. Victreebel chomps onto Meowth as Cacnea clings to James with his needles.
"Not again!" Meowth yelped. "Get off me! Don't swallow me whole!"
"Are you teething, Cacnea?! Use Pin Missle!" James ordered. Cacnea fires Pin Missle and struck them.
"Crawdaunt! Use Crabhammer!" The male grunt ordered. Crawdaunt comes at them with their pincers ready to strike.
"Arbok! Use Crunch! Seviper! Poison Tail! Dustox! Use Poison Sting!" Jessie ordered.
"Weezing! Use Sludge Wave! Victreebel! Use Vine Whip! Chimecho! Use Astonish! Cacnea! Use Needle Arm!" James ordered.
"Mareanie! Use Sludge Bomb!" Genghis ordered.
"Mimikyu! Use Dark Pulse!" Kahnnie ordered.
The Pokémon all launched their attacks onto their opponents.
"Time to make our getaway!" Jessie said.
"Right! Weezing! Poison Gas!" James ordered.
"Seviper! Use Haze!" Jessie ordered.
Weezing and Seviper let out some smoke to make their getaway. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, and Lisia made their escaped with the Team Rocket defectors. Once the smoke cleared they saw the intruders were gone. The male grunt takes out his communicator.
"We have intruders in our base!" The male grunt said. "Three are kids, a boy with silver hair and two girls. Also, four adults and a Meowth!" It was Matt who intercepted the communication.
"Capture them and bring them to me. I'll decide what to do with them," Matt said. "We're too close to let anyone stand between us and total glory."
Shelly was hoping someone would stop this and save Archie from himself.
Over to Team Magma's base, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel were locked in one of the rooms, under heavy guard.
"Can't believe this. Those guys found that Red Orb and they're going to destroy the world," Sora said, giving the wall a punch. "Is nothing sacred?!"
"They don't care about anything but themselves. They'll do anything to get what they want, just like Jakira would have," Kairi said.
"I know. We can't let them get away with this. We just gotta bust out of here and find that Red Orb. After we find where Brendan, Tai and everyone else is being held," Sora said.
"But those jerks are everywhere. They'll try to stop us," Kairi told her boyfriend.
"I know. But we gotta try. The world will be in even more danger if we just sit here doing nothing," Sora said. Kairi agreed with her boyfriend and took him in her arms.
"You're not doing it alone. We took down Archer and those Team Rocket executives when they kidnapped Lillie and the others and made them pay for it. Now we have to stop Team Magma from succeeding. Same for Team Aqua," Kairi said.
"You're right, Kairi. As long as those guys are at it, nobody is safe; especially our families, our friends, and our Pokémon at home," Sora said.
Kairi did feel some dread of having to imagine her parents and her grandmother at risk. Not only them, but her other Pokémon like her Togetic. She knew Team Aqua and Team Magma cannot be allowed to get away with it.
Just then, a loud crash is heard.
"Hey! Who are you?!" A female grunt exclaimed before getting slammed. The door opens and Wallace enters. Pikachu and Angel stood in front of their trainers, ready to fight.
"What do want with us?" Sora asked.
"I am not your enemy," Wallace said, removing his hood.
"Who are you?" Kairi asked.
"My name is Wallace. I used to be the Gym Leader of the Sootopolis City Gym," Wallace said. Sora and Kairi knew who he was related to.
"Wait! You're Lisia's uncle, aren't you?!" Sora asked. This surprises Wallace.
"You know Lisia?" Wallace asked.
"It's a long story. Why are you here?" Sora asked.
"I am working undercover to stop Team Magma. Steven and I are working together to stop Team Magma and Team Aqua from misusing the legendary Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre," Wallace said.
"Maxie said he has a Red Orb and he plans to use it to control Groudon," Sora said.
"I know. Team Aqua has acquired the Blue Orb to control Kyogre. Steven and I have been working together to put a stop to their plan," Wallace said.
"It won't matter who succeeds because the world is good as dead either way," Kairi said.
"I agree. And that is why I'm here," Wallace said.
"Where is Steven now?" Sora asked.
"Probably already infiltrated Team Aqua's base by now. The Blue Orb is the only thing that can control Kyogre, so we must act fast," Wallace said. The former Gym Leader puts his hood back on and exited the room.
"Wait a minute! What about our friends?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Don't worry. They're safe. Now go!" Wallace said as he ran off. Sora and Kairi weren't going to stand by and let Team Magma get away with it.
Over to Team Aqua, Riku had let out his Cacturne, Ninjask, Shedinja, and Dusclops to battle against the grunts. Cacnea looked at his evolved form and got teary eyed, seeing how cool this Cacturne is.
"Ninjask! Use X-Scissor! Shedinja! Use Shadow Claw! Cacturne! Use Needle Arm! Dusclops! Use Shadow Punch! Manectric! Thunder! Eevee! Use Swift!" Riku ordered. Riku's Pokémon launched their attacks onto the attacking Crawdaunt and Walrein.
"Walrein! Ice Fang!" One of the male grunts ordered. The Walrein comes at Riku's Pokémon with their tusks emitting ice.
"Mimikyu! Play Rough!" Kahnnie ordered. Mimikyu jumped right towards one of the walrus-like Pokémon and started to beat it senseless.
"Mareanie! Use Venoshock!" Genghis ordered. Mareanie fires Venoshock and lands a hit.
"Ali! Use Dazzling Gleam!" Lisia ordered. Ali fires Dazzling Gleam, catching the Crawdaunt in the blast. The commotion is being recorded.
"What is going on?!" Matt exclaimed.
"The intruders are making their way through!" One of the grunts said.
"Team Magma?" Matt asked.
"Doubtful. They could be international police," another grunt said.
"We'll stomp them!" Matt stated. He steps out to deal with them.
Over to Team Magma, Brendan and May battled their way through the Team Magma grunts and their Pokémon. Sceptile swipes at the Mightyena and Golbat with Leaf Blade while Combusken fires Fire Spin at the same Pokémon. A few Camerupt come to the fray, only to be blasted by a Hydro Pump, coming from Kairi's Milotic. Kairi also had Plusle, Minun, Swalot and Beautifly out as Sora has his Grovyle, Combusken, Marshtomp, and Vibrava out as well.
"Brendan, May! You're okay!" Kairi said.
"Same to you," May said.
"Where are Tai and the others?" Sora asked.
"They're safe," May said.
"Thanks to Wallace," Brendan said.
"That's good to know," Sora said. "And Max?"
"He's with them right now. Now, we got a world to save," May said.
Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, and the Pokémon started to make their way through Team Magma's base, taking out anything that got in their way.
Over to Team Aqua, Archie took the Blue Orb and smiles as he and a small band of his grunts along with Shelly to head for Kyogre's resting place.
"Now to set off and make our dream come true," Archie said. Archie and his squad heads inside the submarine and sets off. Steven made it to them, but he was too late to stop them.
"No! They're heading for Kyogre!" Steven exclaimed.
Matt makes his way down to deal with the intruders and finds many of the grunts dealt with.
"So, you're the ones causing all the trouble," Matt spat.
"And you would be?" Jessie asked.
"The name's Matt and I'm one of the admins of Team Aqua. And I am here to inform you that you picked a fight with the wrong people," Matt said.
"That's what Team Skull said to me. And you won't be the last person who said that to me," Riku said.
"We'll see about that," Matt taking out his Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Sharpedo!" The Pokéball opens and his Sharpedo emerges from it.
"Everyone attack!" Jessie said.
Jessie's, James's, Genghis's, and Kahnnie's Pokémon all attacked the Sharpedo, but Matt wasn't worried one bit.
"Sharpedo! Aqua Jet!" Matt ordered. Sharpedo launches itself and lands a hit on all of the attacking Pokémon, taking them all out so easily. Sharpedo heads for Eevee and he quickly dodges it. "Not bad, kid. But your puny little Eevee is no match for my Sharpedo!"
"Is that a fact? Eevee! Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Eevee fires Shadow Ball at the shark-like Pokémon. The ball of shadow strikes Sharpedo, making it fall to the side.
"Sharpedo! Crunch!" Matt ordered. Sharpedo comes at the evolution Pokémon preparing to bite him.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Riku ordered. Eevee quickly avoids Sharpedo's Crunch. "Now use Swift!" Eevee fires Swift and it struck Sharpedo.
Over to Team Magma, many of the Pokémon and grunts had been taken down thanks to Sora, Kairi, Brendan, and May, making their way to Maxie's office. Grovyle, Combusken, and Marshtomp had taken some hits from the attacking Mightyena, Camerupt, and Golbat, but Pikachu, Vibrava, and Metang struck back as did Angel, Swalot, Beautifly, Milotic, Plusle, and Minun. As they went through, Sora's Grovyle, Marshtomp, and Combusken began to evolve. They had evolved into a Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert.
"Wow! All three evolved all at once," May said.
"That means they're even stronger," Brendan said.
"Now to get to Maxie," Sora said. When they finally reached Maxie's office, both of Sora's and Brendan's Sceptile broke the door down and found the office deserted. "Maxie! Come on out, Maxie!"
"He's not here," a female voice said. Courtney stepped out of hiding with a sadistic grin. "He stepped out a little while ago. We now know where Groudon is and we're going to use its power to make our new world. And we're not letting you or anyone else stand in our way."
"We're not gonna let that happen, Courtney!" Sora said.
"You're welcome to try and stop me, but it'll do you no good," Courntey said. She took out her Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Camerupt!" Her Camerupt comes out and she snarls upon entry. "You remember my Camerupt? You should. Your Mudbray battled her and beaten her after evolving. That defeat left a bad taste in both our mouths and it's time for revenge!" Courntey points her finger at her opponents. "Camerupt! Use Take Down!" Camerupt charges at them with the full force of her body.
"Milotic! Hydro Pump!" Kairi ordered. Milotic fired Hydro Pump and it struck the camel-like Pokémon in the face. Courtney growled in anger.
"You're going to pay for that, girl!" Courtney snarled. "Camerupt! Use Eruption now!" Flames comes from Camerupt's rocky humps and sends them right at the group.
"Swampert! Block that with Muddy Water!" Sora ordered. Swampert shoots some muddy water from his mouth and it blocks the flames, resulting in steam. "Now use Hammer Arm!" Swampert swings his arm at Camerupt.
"Milotic! Use Breaking Swipe!" Kairi ordered. Milotic swings her tail at Camerupt, knocking her out. Courtney calls her fallen Camerupt back.
"Not bad. You're even better than I remember," Courntey said.
"Where's Maxie? Where did he go?" Sora asked.
"He went to Monsu Island to awaken Groudon. That is where Groudon sleeps, until today. Even if you reach him, it will already be too late. Every volcano on the planet will go off, covering the entire world in magma and making the new world in the process," Courntey said, laughing hysterically before she takes off.
Sora refused to believe it would be too late. But he knew time was running out. In the ocean, Max, Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, Mimi, Izzy, Joe, Davis, Yolei, Ken, Cody, and Amy rode on Wailord's back to a nearby island.
"Where is Wailord taking us?" Max asked.
"It's not like I can just ask it that question," Davis said.
"Wherever we go, I hope it's away from Team Magma," Mimi said.
"But what about Sora and Kairi? I'm very concerned about them," Kari said.
"We all are. Also, Brendan and May are back there," Ken said.
"They're going to be okay. We heard what they did back at the Lake of Rage and foiled Team Rocket's project. Those guys don't know who they're messing with," Matt said.
"Matt's right. Ketchum has been in sticky situations before and I know he's gonna pull through this one," Tai said. Wailord swam to the closet island it could reach and everyone departed off the float whale Pokémon.
"Thanks for the lift, Wailord," Kari said. Wailord swam back to the sea to get to Wallace.
"You got your wish, Mimi, we're away from Team Magma," Joe said. Cody turns to his left and gasped.
"Everyone! Look!" Cody exclaimed pointing at something. Everyone turned to see Archie and his squad depart from the submarine.
"Who are those guys?" Sara asked.
"It's Team Aqua. And all the rotten luck, we end up at the same place as them," Amy said.
"What do you think they're up to?" Max asked.
"We should follow them and see for ourselves," Davis suggested.
"Are you nuts, Davis? What if we end up being captured again?" Yolei asked.
"She's right. I had a feeling Team Magma were gonna dump us somewhere, so what makes you think they won't do the same?" Joe asked.
"We gotta know what they're planning. Team Aqua came here to the island to see what's here, so why shouldn't we do the same?" Davis asked.
"He's right. I can't believe I'm saying this. It might have something to do with Kyogre, so we should follow them," Cody said.
"Then, let's go," Tai said.
So, Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, Mimi, Izzy, Joe, Davis, Yolei, Ken, Cody, Max, and Amy follows Team Aqua through the island to see what they're up to.
Back at Team Aqua's base, both Sharpedo and Eevee pant out of exhaustion. They were both tired from that intense battle.
"Feeling scared, kid?" Matt asked.
"Not on your life," Riku countered.
"Sharpedo! Ice Fang now!" Matt ordered. Sharpedo was about to finish Eevee off when Metagross came in with a Giga Impact and struck Sharpedo and earned a knockout. Matt turned to see Steven behind him. "You!"
"Your boss had just left the base. You know where he went?" Steven asked.
"He went to Monsu Island to awaken Kyogre from its slumber. It's too late to stop what had already started. Archie's going to use the Blue Orb to gain control over Kyogre in its Primal Form and then turn the world into one huge ocean! There will be nothing you can do to stop us! Once the entire world is submerged in water, Archie will rule the new world!"
"Not if I have something to say about it," Steven said. Jessie and James tied him up and left him behind. "We have got to get to Monsu Island before it's too late!"
With that said, they hijacked a submarine and set a course for Monsu Island. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Brendan, and May rode on Milotic's back to head for Monsu Island to stop Maxie from reaching Groudon.
"Gotta hurry! The more we slow down, the time we give Maxie!" Sora said.
"She's going as fast as she could possibly go, Sora!" Kairi said.
"We can't afford to wait take that chance!" Brendan said.
Over on Monsu Island, Archie and his squad had found what they had been looking for. Tai, Kari, Max, and the rest had finally caught up.
"This is it. The cavern Kyogre is said to rest," Archie said. "Our moment of glory is within our reach, I can practically touch it. Wouldn't you agree, Shelly?" Shelly stayed silent. "Shelly?" She still didn't answer. "Why so silent? I thought you would be leaping with joy to our new world being born." Finally Shelly couldn't hold back anymore.
"Is this really worth it, Archie? Is it worth destroying the world?" Shelly asked, getting it off her chest. Archie didn't like how it came out.
"Where is this coming from, Shelly?" Archie asked. "You know we're doing what is necessary to create our oceanic world." Tai, Kari, Max, and the rest were shocked to hear it.
"Destroy the world?" Amy asked.
"Could that be what Wallace meant before?" TK asked.
"He mentioned about misusing legendary Pokémon, so I have grave suspicion that they have all sorts of nasty plans for Kyogre," Izzy stated.
"Listen to me, Archie! The world that you will create and the one Kyogre will create are two different places! Can't you see that?" Shelly asked.
"What are you trying to say?" Archie asked. Shelly looked down to her feet.
"I researched the data at the Weather Institute. Since then, I wanted to see if Primal Kyogre would bring the new world in your vision, and I wanted to see how powerful it really is," Shelly said. Archie grinned satisfied by her choice of words.
"Then, you shall see it with your own eyes," Archie said. The Team Aqua squad ventured into the cavern leaving the group with very troubled looks on all their faces.
"They're gonna destroy the world?" Sara asked.
"Man, this is anything but good," Matt said.
"What did they mean by Primal Kyogre, anyway?" Davis asked.
"I don't know, but we know it's anything but good just like Matt said," Izzy said.
"You think Sora and Kairi are acting on this right now?" Ken asked.
"Hope so, because they wouldn't let this stand," Sara said.
In a Team Aqua submarine, Steven is steering the submarine as Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Lisia, Jessie, James, Meowth, Genghis, and Kahnnie rode on.
"Can't this thing go any faster?" Jessie asked.
"It's going as fast as it can possibly go. Put in anymore than it can handle, then we're done for," Meowth said.
"Just how much further are we to get there?" Naminé asked.
"Hopefully before it's too late," Lisia said. Riku stayed quiet, thinking about how bad it'll be.
On Monsu Island, Maxie and his Team Magma squad made it to the volcano on the island and he finally reached Groudon inside the volcano sleeping.
"Yes! The legendary Pokémon Groudon. Now to make our ideal new world!" Maxie said, holding the Red Orb firmly in his hand. He turned to Tabitha. "Are you set, Tabitha?"
"I have been waiting for this for a long time and now the wait is over," Tabitha said.
"Excellent," Maxie held the orb in his hand. "Hear me, Groudon! I am Maxie, leader of Team Magma and seeker of your divine power! I have come a long way to make our ideal world a reality! Return to your true form and make the earth into the massive landscape as it should be!" The Red Orb began glowing. Groudon glows a bright red light and started to come to life. "Groudon! Expand the land! Evaporate the harsh and cruel sea! Grant us the power of the land!" Maxie threw the Red Orb and it exploded in a crimson light. Groudon roars as it began to transform. Groudon grew larger than normal. Outside, the volcano erupts. Not only that, the sky turned orange and yellow.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Brendan, and May were getting closer to the island only to see what is happening.
"The sky! It's even sunnier than normal," May said.
"Maxie, what did you do?!" Sora exclaimed.
Deep within the cavern, Archie and his squad had at last found Kyogre and he grinned with excitement and laughed. Kyogre is sleeping soundly similar to when Groudon is sleeping.
"Here it is! Kyogre!" Archie exclaimed. Shelly and the grunts raced in as well unaware of Tai, Kari, Max, and the rest still following them.
"Kyogre," Max could only say.
"So, that's what was in here," Ken said.
"That's what I was afraid of," Izzy said. Archie takes out the Blue Orb and holds it in front of Kyogre.
"Kyogre! I am Archie of Team Aqua! I have waited for this day! Now then, Kyogre, the world is disordered and broken! All human beings care about is pursuing their own selfish desires! And that's the reason nature and Pokémon are all suffering!" Archie called out, making the Blue Orb glow. "Now, Kyogre! Return the world to what it once was and how it rightfully should be!" Archie's com suddenly goes off. He answers it. "What is it?"
"Team Magma had made their move. They have awaken Groudon. The sky is scorching," a grunt said through the com. Archie grins.
"Good. I was hoping for Maxie to make his move sooner or later," Archie said. "Now it's time to awaken, Kyogre!" Archie got ready to throw the Blue Orb, but Kari ran behind them.
"No! Stop! Don't do it, please!" Kari pleaded. Shelly and the grunts turned to see her, but it was too late to stop Archie; he threw the Blue Orb and exploded in a shining blue light. Kyogre began to glow as a yellowish energy emerged Kyogre, making it grow larger than normal. Kyogre had transformed into its Primal Form.
"Primal Kyogre! Destroy everything! Sink the island into the sea!" Archie commanded. Primal Kyogre roars as the whole cavern began shaking.
"Everyone run!" Tai yelled.
Everyone started to run for their lives as Primal Kyogre dove straight to the water. Archie could only smile at his accomplishment and began laughing maniacally.
"Primal Kyogre, the time has come to blanket the world with endless rain! We shall we begin by destroying Groudon and Team Magma!" Archie proclaimed.
Back to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Brendan, and May, they were nearing the island when rain clouds were forming into the sky. They noticed it fast as it began to rain.
"Now what?" Sora groaned. He got his answer when Primal Kyogre emerges from the water with a loud roar.
"What is that?!" May exclaimed.
"Is that Kyogre?" Kairi asked.
"It's looks like Kyogre, but it's different somehow," Brendan said.
"Somehow this has Team Aqua's name all over it," Sora said. Primal Kyogre began to manipulate the sea, making the waves go uncontrolled as Milotic has a hard time keeping her balance. The waves becomes too much for Milotic to handle but she tries to hold on. "Gotta keep going."
"Hang in there, Milotic!" Kairi pleaded.
In the submarine, the ride becomes rocky as Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Lisia, Jessie, James, Meowth, Genghis, Kahnnie, and Steven hold their own. Steven tries to navigate the submarine as best as he could.
"What the hell is going on out there?!" Genghis exclaimed.
"Judging how unruly the sea is, I would say Kyogre has awaken," Steven said. "We're too late."
Outside, Wallace rode on his Milotic. Wallace's Milotic handled the raging sea better than Kairi's Milotic could.
"First it was scorching hot, but now it's a heavy rain storm. That could only mean one thing. Groudon and Kyogre had both awaken," Wallace said in his thoughts.
In the Alola region, the people were taking refuge into their homes, getting out of the raging storm.
On Akala Island in Lana's house, she saw how the sea was raging on and grew concerned.
"I don't understand it. It was just a calm day today," Lana said.
"I know one thing," Lana's father said. She turned to him. "The sea is angry." Lana wondered what could have happen to cause it.
"Sora, Kairi," Lana said.
Lillie, Elio, and Selene were in her mansion watching the storm rage on.
"What is going on?" Elio asked.
"I don't know," Selene admitted.
Lillie knew something was up since she had a look of concern on her face. She went to her mansion's library and took a book out and saw an image of Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre fighting each other, making her gasp. She saw in the image that there was a rainstorm just like the one their experiencing.
"No, it couldn't be," Lillie said fearfully. "Sora, Kairi. I hope you're not mixed in this."
In Prota Vista, Danny, Cattleya, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, their families, and the Bay of Burgers staff were taking shelter along with the rest of the locals seeing how it was no longer safe at home.
"This is the worse storm we had ever experienced," Terra said.
"You're right. Today started off great. It was said to be sunny skies all day," Aqua said.
"Since when is that weather man ever right?" Terra asked sarcastically. Aqua saw he had a point.
Elsewhere, Weevil and Rex were caught in the storm.
"I don't know what is going on, but somehow this is all your fault!" Weevil exclaimed.
"Oh sure, just blame me for this just like you do everything else!" Rex exclaimed. They both held onto a pole, holding on as a heavy wind picks them up.
Back in Hoenn, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Brendan, and May try to hold on to Milotic, but the heavy winds knocks them all off of her. Sora emerges his head out of the water frantically looking for his friends.
"Kairi! Pikachu! Angel! Brendan! May!" Sora yelled.
"Sora!" Kairi's voice called out to her boyfriend. Sora turned to see her, trying desperately to swim to him. He tries the same thing. The current was strong, but he didn't care. Kairi reaches her hand out to Sora. "Grab my hand!" Sora reaches out his hand.
"I'm trying!" Sora exclaimed. He grabs her hand and they pull each other close. Brendan searches for May, fearing for her life.
"May, where are you?!" Brendan exclaimed. He searches for his crush. "Please don't be dead, please!" He found May unconscious and swam to save her. He reaches her and keeps her head above the water. She regains consciousness and sees her crush holding her in his arms.
"Brendan," May said in a low tone.
"Stay with me, May. I got you," Brendan assured. May could only blush, but she was very grateful to him. Pikachu swam to the water reaching Angel and he keeps her head above the water.
"I got you, Angel!" - Pikachu subtitle.
"Then, who got you?" - Angel subtitle.
As luck would have it, a Whishcash emerge from under the Pokémon couple.
"Need a lift?" - Whishcash subtitle.
"Thanks, we appreciate it." - Pikachu subtitle.
A Sealeo helps Brendan and May in the water while a Seaking comes to the aide of Sora and Kairi.
"Where did these Pokémon all come from?" Sora asked.
"From me," Wallace called out riding on his Milotic. "Are you all okay?"
"Yeah, thanks to you," Sora said.
"Glad to hear it. We need to head for Monsu Island right away!" Wallace said.
"Wallace, we just saw Kyogre! And just a few minutes ago, it was scorching hot!" Sora said. "I think they had woke up Groudon!"
"I know, and they did. Team Aqua has also awoken Kyogre as you just saw," Wallace said.
"Why does Kyogre look so different from the images in our Pokédexes?" May asked.
"That is Kyogre in its Primal Form. I don't have a doubt Groudon had changed into its Primal Form as well," Wallace stated. Another roar is heard and they saw Primal Groudon walk onto the ocean, leaving behind a trail of magma.
"I'm thinking that's it," Brendan said.
"Primal Groudon! With the both of them awake now, then we're twice in trouble," Wallace said.
"Pika, Pi," Pikachu said as he held Angel in his arms.
"Eevee," Angel said.
The submarine submerges from the water and Riku opens the hatch to see the weather in a wild fit.
"Crap, it's even worse than I thought," Riku said. He looked around and saw Primal Kyogre and he was speechless. "Oh man."
"Riku, what's going on up there?" Lisia asked. Primal Kyogre roars, frightening everyone else inside. Azurill becomes scared by the roar and Naminé tries to calm her down.
"It's okay, Azurill. Don't be scared," Naminé said, rocking her in her arms. Primal Kyogre starts to head for the submarine. Riku quickly shuts the hatch and climbed down.
"Steven, get us out of here!" Riku exclaimed. Before Steven could do anything, the submarine goes flying in the air. Everyone inside starts screaming until the submarine makes a landing onto the beach. They all got out of the submarine and saw the rain clouds and the harsh rain.
"I heard of hitting the beach, but this isn't what I had in mind," Meowth said in a daze almost looks like he's gonna puke.
"Are you alright, Meowth?" Naminé asked.
"I'm fine. I just need to keep my stomach on the inside," Meowth said.
"TMI, Meowth!" James hissed.
"Any clue on what's going on?" Kahnnie said. Riku pointed to the sea.
"That thing for one thing!" Riku said.
"Eevee?" Eevee asked looking where Riku is pointing. Naminé, Azurill, Steven, Lisia, Jessie, James, Meowth, Genghis, and Kahnnie also look where Riku is pointing and got wide-eyed when they saw Primal Kyogre.
"HOLY SHIT!" The former Team Rocket members exclaimed.
"Is that what I think it is?" Lisia asked.
"It is. It's Primal Kyogre. Team Aqua has awakened it. It's even worse than I feared," Steven said. Just then, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Brendan, May, and Wallace all came to the same shore as Riku and the others.
"Riku!" Sora called out.
"Sora!" Riku called back. "What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing," Sora said. He stopped when he saw Jessie, James, Meowth, Genghis, and Kahnnie on the beach. "Hey, what the hell is Team Rocket doing here?!"
"Nice to see you, too," Jessie said sarcastically.
"Look, we're not here to cause trouble or anything, we're just here to put a stop to them," Meowth said.
"Also, we're not with Team Rocket anymore. They left us to rot," James said. Sora wasn't buying it. He glared to Genghis and Kahnnie.
"What about those two?" Sora asked.
"We came here looking for them, and not settling the score with you if you're implying that," Genghis said. Kairi walked up along with Brendan and May with glares of their own.
"How do we know it's not some kind of trick, especially after everything you did?" Kairi asked.
"We don't care that you believe us or not, but it's the truth. We found out Team Rocket never cared about us and we're getting our revenge on them for it, but we're taking down Team Magma and Team Aqua before that," Jessie said.
"So, can't we just put the past behind us and move on by saving the world?" James asked.
"I'm with Kairi, it had to be a trick! You tried to steal that Slowpoke from Klara that one time!" Brendan said.
"And you tried to take that PokéBlock when we were helping Rustboro City to get rid of all those Gulpin!" May added.
"And all the times you tried to steal my Pikachu from me!" Sora stated.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
"Mistakes were made and we're sorry! Now can we focus on the fate of the world?!" Meowth exclaimed.
"And what do you care?!" Sora snarled before Wallace stepped in.
"That's enough! Team Magma and Team Aqua are the ones we should be fighting, not each other!" Wallace scolded.
"He's right, Sora. Team Magma and Team Aqua crossed a pretty big line and they have to be stopped," Riku said.
"Groudon and Kyogre will destroy the world unless we get the orbs from the leaders," Lisia said.
"Maxie has the Red Orb for one thing," Sora said.
"And Archie has the Blue Orb," Riku said.
"We would have told you that," Tai called out from behind. Everyone turned to the group.
"And it's a whole lot worse than any of us thought," Davis added.
"And the weather didn't give that away?" Jessie sarcastically asked.
"We'll have to deal with both of Groudon and Kyogre. They only way we're gonna put a stop to this is to take them down," Sora stated.
"How? They're too powerful. I don't think all of our Pokémon combined will have a chance against the both of them; or even one of them," Kairi said.
"We gotta try, Kairi," Sora told his girlfriend.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"He is right though. We have to try. We can't afford to hesitate. The fate of the world depends on all of us. Archie and Maxie will be controlling them, so we have to sever the connection between them," Steven said.
"Then let's do this! They can't do this to the world and get away with it," Brendan said.
"Using Pokémon for destruction is unforgivable. They must be stopped," May added.
"They better prepare for trouble," Jessie said.
"And we'll make it double," James added. Wobbufett pops out of his Pokéball.
"Wobbufett!" Wobbufett said.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Tai, Brendan, May, Steven, Wallace, Lisia, Jessie, James, Genghis, and Kahnnie all prepared for battle against the leaders of Team Magma and Team Aqua while Naminé, Meowth, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, Izzy, Joe, Davis, Yolei, Cody, Ken, Amy, and Max all stayed behind.
"Let's go!" Wallace stated.
Sora, Kairi, Brendan, and May all let out Swampert, Milotic, Wailmer, and Squirtle to swim in the water.
Wallace and Steven let out Wailord and Metagross as Jessie had let out Arbok, Seviper, and Dustox as James let out his Weezing. Lisia had unleashed Ali as Riku had let out Ninjask and Shedinja. Genghis and Kahnnie had unleashed Mimikyu and Mareanie. Tai had let out Flame, the two Dragonite, and his Flygon to join in.
They all set off to deal with the two Pokémon.
"Jessie, James, come back in one piece," Meowth said in his thoughts.
Elsewhere on the island, Maxie and Archie had accessed their hovercrafts and hovered to control the two legendary Pokémon before they were face-to-face.
"Archie," Maxie said spitefully.
"Hello Maxie. I hope you're enjoying the show," Archie gloated.
"Gloat all you wish, but you won't be gloating when Primal Groudon destroys you and your dreams of an eternal ocean," Maxie said.
"Not unless Primal Kyogre destroys Primal Groudon first!" Archie countered. The organization leaders glare at each other. "Primal Kyogre! Origin Pulse!" Primal Kyogre jumps into the air and multiple blue orbs appear all around it. It then fires a beam of blue energy from each orb at Primal Groudon.
"Primal Groudon! Use Precipice Blades!" Maxie ordered. Primal Groudon's body glows with the colors of lava, and then makes a series of incandescent sharp stones coated with lava spring from the ocean. It blocks Primal Kyogre's Origin Pulse. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Brendan, May, Riku, Lisia, and Tai, Steven, Wallace, Jessie, James, Genghis, and Kahnnie headed for the organization leaders to stop them from destroying the world.
"Archie! Maxie! Stop!" Sora called out. They turned to the group.
"Sora!" Maxie exclaimed.
"Have you all come to surrender to me?" Archie asked.
"You mean to me, Archie," Maxie corrected.
"This is going too far! Yoiu to need to stop this now!" Sora said.
"He's right! Look at what your actions are doing!" Steven added.
"I am only giving the world what it needs! Human beings only care about themselves and pursuing their own desires over nature and Pokémon! So, I'm saving the world from those selfish humans!" Archie argued.
"You're not saving the world, you're destroying it!" Riku said.
"Think about how many people are suffering right now! Not just the people, but all the Pokémon, too! Evryone and everything are going to die because of your own selfishness!" Kairi stated.
"Shelly was right to tell you that the world you make and the world Primal Kyogre will create are two different places! The same goes for Primal Groudon! It won't matter which one takes out the other, because we're all dead either way!" Tai said.
"That's nonsense! The Red and Blue Orbs are the only ones that grants us the power to control these Pokémon! No one but us has the potential to guide them!" Maxie said.
"You don't have complete control over them! You're both consumed by your own delusions!" Wallace said. Archie and Maxie both raised a brow.
"What do you mean?!" Archie exclaimed.
"Explain!" Maxie demanded.
"An ancient race of people had desires to control both Groudon and Kyogre in order to control the weather. They had hopes of controlling the weather through ancient Pokémon. The orbs were forged by the mystics to do so, but what they found that even with the orbs, the Pokémon themselves were beyond their control. When they transformed into their Primal Forms, they ended up nearly detroying the world, but they succeeded in destroying themselves! Rayquaza came from the heavens to stop them from doing so!" Wallace explained.
Sora remembered the Pokédex entry on Rayquaza when it mentioned Groudon and Kyogre destroying the world in their battle. Maxie found it absurd when he heard it from Wallace.
"No. No! It's ludicrous! We researched the orbs thoroughly! The orbs themselves are the only means of commanding these ancient Pokémon! The Red Orb is the one ticket to make the world into the land it was meant to be!" Maxie argued.
"How could you believe that?" Lisia asked.
Back on the shore, Naminé, Azurill, Max, Meowth, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, Davis, Yolei, Cody, Ken, and Amy continued to look to the sea as Shelly and Tabitha joined in. Shelly had filled Tabitha in on what she learned and he was stunned to hear it from her.
"Is this what you wanted to see, Shelly?" Tabitha asked.
"I did say I wanted to see how powerful Primal Kyogre is, just like you wanted to see the power of Primal Groudon. The utopia we wanted to see was all a dream that will never be a reality and we just couldn't see it before," Shelly said. Tabitha fell on his knees.
"So, everything we did was all for nothing. Our plans were flushed down the shitter before we even started planning," Tabitha groaned. "I can't believe it took me until now to realize that."
"It's better to realize it too late than never," Shelly said.
Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon used their signature attacks striking one another. Primal Groudon used Eruption as Kyogre fires Ice Beam. Primal Kyogre misses and almost hitting the group.
"That was close!" Sora said.
"Those two are going at it," Jessie said.
"And if they keep going at it, then the world is gonna end!" Riku said.
"He's right. We gotta put a stop to it!" Tai said.
Everyone started to set off to put a stop to it, but Jessie, James, Genghis, and Kahnnie stayed behind.
"Genghis, Kahnnie, we have to talk real quick," Jessie said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Riku, Brendan, May, Tai, Lisia, Wallace, and Steven headed for the battling Pokémon with hopes to put a stop to it.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt on Primal Kyogre! Swampert! Muddy Water on Primal Groudon!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Swampert fire their attacks to strike the clashing Pokémon, but it did nothing to stop them. Sora was aghast to what he witnessed. "No way! Not one of those attacks phased them?!"
"Let's all try right at the exact same time!" Steven suggested.
"It's worth a shot," Brendan said.
"I hope it'll work," May said.
All of the Pokémon let out their attacks to strike Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre, but none of the attacks had done anything.
"So much for a combo attack," Tai said.
"Now what?" Riku asked.
"Probably take the inevitable," Lisia said fearfully. Sora and Kairi took each other by the hand.
"Kairi," Sora could only say.
"Sora, if we're going to die, I'm happy to say that I'm glad that the last thing I see is you looking back at me," Kairi said.
"And the last thing I get to say that the last thing I see is you, Kairi," Sora said. He took her by the hand. "See you on the other side." Kairi's eyes filled with tears as she and Sora shared what could be their last kiss. Pikachu and Angel held each other as May and Brendan held hands and shut their eyes. Riku took his Eevee in his arms.
"Hold on tight, buddy," Riku said.
"Riku." - Eevee subtitle with tears streaming from eyes. Tai, Lisia, Steven, and Wallace could only close their eyes waiting for the final blow. Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre were about to obliterate them when suddenly a torpedo strikes Primal Kyogre, throwing its aim off and headed for the sky. Another one strikes Primal Groudon and it fell from the land mass it made and right into the water. Everyone opened their eyes and looked around when they heard the explosions.
"We're alive?!" Sora asked surprised.
"How?" Riku asked also surprised.
They got their answer when they saw Team Aqua's submarine heading right towards them. Jessie and James are right inside it. Genghis and Kahnnie were the ones who fired the torpedoes.
"In the name of good prepare for trouble!" Jessie spoke through the com.
"And in the name of justice, make it double!" James said through the com.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite our principals bringing justice to every nation!"
"To embrace the virtues of truth and love!"
"To bring hope to all from the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Anti-Rocket blasts off for what is right!"
"Evildoers beware or prepare to fight!"
"Wobbufett!"
"Ch~iiiiimmmmmeeee!"
"Team Anti-Rocket?" Sora asked, raising a brow.
"Pika?" Pikachu also raised a brow.
"Listen up, Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre! It's time to put a stop to you destroying the world!" Jessie said through the com.
"Or die trying!" James added.
The submarine fires more torpedoes at the legendary Pokémon.
"What are you doing?!" Sora exclaimed.
"What they said they were gonna do. Save the world. I never believed a word of it till now," Riku said. Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre were greatly angered for having their attacks interrupted. Inside the submarine, Jessie and James were for having to draw their attention.
"We got them looking at us, Jess!" James told his girlfriend.
"Good James. That's exactly what we want," Jessie said. She took the com and spoke through to Genghis and Kahnnie. "How are those torpedoes coming?"
"We're down to two left! Once we use them up, there won't be any left!" Genghis said.
"Use them anyway. And get into an escape pod, the both of you. Your work here is done," Jessie said.
"Are you sure, Jessie?" Kahnnie asked.
"Yes. And in case you don't hear from us within a couple of hours, carry on the mission without us. That is an order," Jessie said. Genghis and Kahnnie understood.
"You got it," Genghis said.
"Let's go," Kahnnie said. They fired the last two torpedoes and headed right towards the legendary Pokémon. They went into an escape pod and launched themselves out. Jessie and James look right at each other and both nodded. Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon fired Origin Pulse and Precipice Blades right at the submarine. The two attacks struck the submarine and it explodes. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel could watch in disbelief and horror as they saw the submarine explode.
"Jessie! James!" Sora cried.
"Pika!" Pikachu also cried.
"I don't believe it," Kairi said, placing her hands over her heart. Riku, Brendan, May, Tai, and Lisia were shocked to witness it.
"They're dead," Tai said.
"They sacrificed themselves to help us," Riku said. Sora turned to Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre having to see them coming towards them again. The weather suddenly goes back to normal as Rayquaza descends from the sky.
"Rayquaza?" Sora asked.
"Rayquaza is here," Kairi said.
Steven and Wallace weren't surprised to see it since Rayquaza had put a stop to their fight before. Rayquaza then began to glow. Rayquaza has developed a Delta-shaped jaw on its mouth and an elongated serpent body. eyes now contain yellow pupils and red irises, and black, tree-like markings trail behind its eyes. Its red lips and teeth become gold, and the gold lines connect to those on its lower horns, which take on a broad, triangular shape. At the outer edges of its lower horns are long, golden, glowing tendrils that each extend to a green, fin-like structure; these tendrils have ring patterns that strongly resemble the yellow markings running along the length of Rayquaza's normal form. Its two upper horns become longer with a gold line running over them in a V shape, and each upper horn has another glowing tendril that ends in a circular shape with a spike. Along the length of its body are golden, glowing orbs placed where its ring patterns used to be. The chin, part of the neck, and parts of its serpentine body are changed to the color black. The fins running along its body are now marked with gold lines; the fins on its tail become entirely yellow and substantially longer. Particles stream from the long tendrils that extend from its jutting jaw. Rayquaza roars when the transformation was complete.
"Rayquaza had just Mega Evolved," Wallace said.
"Mega Evolution," Sora said.
Mega Rayquaza fired Hyper Beam right at the both of them as Primal Groudon responded by firing Fire Blast and Mega Kyogre fires Hydro Pump. The attack cuts through their attacks and struck them both. Primal Groudon takes a swing at Mega Rayquaza, but wrapped its body around it. Primal Groudon tried to get loose, but the grip of the sky high Pokémon was too strong. Maxie and Archie were angered by how Rayquaza had come.
"How dare Rayquaza come and interfere," Maxie said.
"Primal Kyogre! Destroy Rayquaza now! Origin Pulse now!" Archie ordered. Primal Kyogre just ignored him and just rammed into Mega Rayquaza, forcing it to let go. Mega Rayquaza fires Dragon Pulse and struck Primal Kyogre. "Primal Kyogre! Origin Pulse now!"
"Primal Groudon! Use Precipice Blades!" Maxie ordered. Primal Groudon ignored Maxie, much to his shock. "How can this be? Primal Groudon should have obeyed! Could they be right? Could this be all for nothing?!" Primal Groudon fires Fire Blast and it struck Mega Rayquaza, but the sky high Pokémon struck with another Dragon Pulse and it knocks Primal Groudon down. It reverts to normal and the Red Orb appears. Sora catches it in his hands
"The Red Orb," Sora said.
Primal Kyogre attempts to attack, but Mega Rayquaza does the same thing, unleashing a powerful Dragon Pulse attack and it was enough to bring Primal Kyogre down. It reverts back to normal. The Blue Orb appears and it it is Kairi who catches it this time. Groudon and Kyogre both got up and they look up to Mega Rayquaza and it reverts back to normal. Rayquaza glared at the both of them and headed back up to the ozone layer. Groudon and Kyogre then return to Monsu Island to their resting places. Naminé, Azurill, Meowth, Max, Shelly, Tabitha, Kari, Matt, TK, Sara, Izzy, Joe, Davis, Yolei, Cody, Ken, and Amy watched the ancient Pokémon head back to the island. Kyogre dove underwater as Groudon headed for the volcano.
"It's over," Naminé said.
"Did we win?" Max asked.
"I think so," Amy said, hoding Davis's hand.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Riku, Eevee, Brendan, May, Lisia, Wallace, and Steven all returned to the island. Genghis and Kahnnie were in their escape pod heading for another island. Meowth noticed someone was missing.
"Hey, where are Jessie and James?" Meowth asked. Sora and Kairi looked at the scratch cat Pokémon with saddness on their faces. Pikachu and Angel were sharing their saddness as well. Riku, Tai, Brendan, May, ad Lisia were giving him the same sad look. "What's going on? Where are they? Someone say something!" Sora sighed and he bent down to Meowth's level.
"Sorry to the one to tell you this, Meowth. Jessie and James aren't coming back," Sora said sadly. This stabbed Meowth in the heart having to hear that. Tears were coming from his eyes.
"No," Meowth said in a sad tone. He fell to his knees and started to cry. "NO!" His cry echoes throughout the island. He buried his eyes in his paws as he started bawling. Naminé, Kari, and the rest all felt sorry for him.
"I'm sorry," Sora could only say, not sure of what to do or to say. Archie and Maxie came onto the island. Archie was infuriated.
"You! You ruined everything! If you hadn't stood in our way, we would have won!" Archie shouted.
"No, Archie. No one would have won," Maxie corrected him. The Team Aqua leader turned to him. "I see now, it was all for nothing. Everything we worked for was based on a foolish dream."
"You're weak, Maxie! My new world would have made things better for everyone!" Archie yelled.
"Let it go, Archie," Shelly said. Archie looked at her. "It's over. It's all for the best. Nothing good would have come out of it. Pokémon, humanity, and every living thing on earth would have died. And we would have died along with it." Archie could see how right she was. He hated to admit it, but she was right, it was all for nothing.
"Then, it's truly over," Archie said.
"Not really," Sora said. The leaders of Team Magma and Team Aqua looked at him as he and Kairi placed the orbs down. He looked at Pikachu and nodded. "Iron Tail." Pikachu uses Iron Tail and shatters both the Red and Blue Orbs into a million pieces. Everyone were shocked to see what Sora did.
"Why did you do that, Sora?" Lisia asked.
"To keep them out of the wrong hands. That is something someone should have done in the first place," Sora said.
"You are right," Wallace said. "It is best for the orbs to be destroyed to keep out of the hands of evil," Wallace said.
"That's good to know," Riku said.
"Now what?" May asked.
"Only one thing to do," Maxie said. He looked to Tabitha. "Tabitha, contact all of our members and tell them that their work is done." Tabitha was shocked, not understanding what he meant.
"What?" Tabitha asked.
"As of now, Team Magma is offically disbanding," Maxie announced.
"As is Team Aqua," Archie proclaimed. He looked at Shelly. "You know what to do, Shelly." She nodded.
"Yes," Shelly said.
With that done, Team Magma and Team Aqua was no more. Tai, Kari, and their friends went to explore more islands as Brendan, May, and Max did the same. Amy is joining them just to spend more time with Davis. Riku told Sora he was going to meet them at the Grand Festival and Lisia headed home, leaving Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth alone.
"So, Meowth, how about it? The offer is still up," Sora said.
"You sure you want me to come along?" Meowth asked.
"Told you that we could use your gift for something good, and I meant it," Sora said.
"Also, we couldn't leave you out here alone," Kairi said. Meowth smiled as he felt welcomed.
"Gee, thanks. I don't know how to repay you," Meowth said.
"Just don't make us regret it," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu seconded it.
"Don't worry, you won't regret it. I promise! Cross my heart!" Meowth said.
So, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel had a new travel companion. With Meowth on their side, the couple said they would have his gift for something good and they meant it. Over in Alola, The Alolan nine along with Elio and Selene were witnessing the sudden change of the weather seeing how it was back to normal.
"Sora, Kairi," Illima could only say. The rest agreed since they had a role in it. In Porta Vista, Danny, Cattleya, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Danny's staff, and Terra's Aqua's family, and the rest of the people saw it was safe to return home. They saw it wasn't as big a mess as they thought.
Not too far on another island, Genghis and Kahnnie were waiting for something, or someone when two figures in trenchcoats approach them. The two figures revealed themselves to be Jessie and James. They escaped into an escape at the last minute when Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre launched their attacks.
(Flashback, during the battle between Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre)
Jessie and James had escaped into a second escape pod.
"That was close," James said.
"Too close for comfort. It was worth it to get payback on Giovanni," Jessie said. "They think that we're dead, so we won't disappoint them."
"Yes. Also, I have something else I want to do before we go further," James takes his ring box out of his pocket. Jessie was shocked when James bent down on his knee and opened it before her. "Will you marry me?" Jessie was shocked for a moment and she was getting all giddy.
"Yes! Yes I will!" Jessie accepted. They embrace each other and kiss each other with so much passion.
(Flashback to the present)
"You sure it was a good idea leaving Meowth with those kids is a good call?" James asked.
"Let's face it, he deserves better than we do. And who else is there?" Jessie asked.
"Also, what is our first move to make?" Genghis asked.
"We'll have you on the inside getting the dirt on them as planned," Jessie said.
"And tip us off and then we tip off the cops," James said. "Adding to that, we'll be doing the field work and catch them red-handed."
"Right. Giovanni and the rest won't even know what will hit them," Kahnnie said.
"I'm gonna ask if you're sure you still want in this?" James asked.
"We made our bet and we're sticking to it to the end," Genghis said.
"Right up till Team Rocket is history," Kahnnie said.
"Good," Jessie said.
"Just be careful, you two," James said.
"We'll board a ship bound for Kanto and separate from there. Good luck," Kahnnie said. The former Team Rocket members set off on with their mission to destroy Team Rocket. While Genghis and Kahnnie were spying on them from the inside, Jessie and James figured there would be members already doing some field work, so they had to work fast.
Team Anti-Rocket began their work to take down the Team Rocket organization, but will it become too big for them to handle alone? And how will Giovanni react when he learned that Jessie and James are still around? More to come soon enough.
