fruits of the Labyrinth:
part one
"May the changes commence"
A low heartbeat began thumping in the ground, it was small but certainly there, the beat gradually made itself more noticeable.
Thump...thump...thump...
The winged creatures inhabiting the trees rustled about, unsettled by this strange new noise along with the smaller land creatures scurrying back to their homes in the Labyrinth's holes and hiding places.
Thump...thump...thump...
Small cracks appeared on the stone grounds with something was making its way to the surface.
thump...thump...thump...
Tendrils of a fine golden mist became visible through the cracks in the ground embarked snaking through the Labyrinth, making its way through every wall, every brick, and every passage, it could worm through every crack, slither among any blade of grass, and could swim in any water with the more it touched the tendrils got bigger. The mist's golden arms rose to the sky glittering in the red peaking sun, this was pure magic. Its many arms elegantly joined together forming into a huge mass with it slowly spreading itself over the land of the Labyrinth.
It was fresh and new, reaching into the land furthest corners and highlighting every feature, the mist sparkled in the rising sun as new dawn rose on the land, the dust finely coated all the sun could see gracefully attaching itself to all in sight giving all the Labyrinth an astonishing aurum glow. Notes of cinnamon delighted the atmosphere giving it a twinkling haze with the Spirit transforming its land into a field of gold, cloaking all the trees, mountains, stone walls, forests, the goblin village, the bog of eternal stench, the castle even down to the smallest speck of dirt.
this woke all who slept in the Goblin city when cinnamon hit their noses.
"Huh? what is all this?" A small goblin puzzled leaving his small house, more goblins began opening in their doors and windows in awe entranced by the golden sparkles dancing and twirling in the sky. Small and large green, grey, and brown heads looked upwards in amusement as they ventured into the streets mystified by the golden haze.
"it's snow!" A small child-like goblin excitedly chirped
"It's not snowing you dolt! snow is cold and it's Spring!" An older goblin stated
"no it's not! it's winter!" and other snapped back
some goblins began sticking their sickly looking tongues out to see if it was snow, others fell to the ground starting to do 'snow' angels, younger ones tried to create snowballs with the gold dust only for the particles to fall apart in their grubby hands but the dust seemed to have an uplifting effect as some began dancing in the streets and celebrating in the golden haven.
"It's nutmeg!" A goblin wearing a pan on its head exclaimed
CLANG
A taller goblin whacked the pan "It's ginger is that you idiot!"
"No, it's not! Everyone with eyes can see that's rhubarb" A wispy ginger-haired goblin retorted back
one goblin thought it would be clever to strongly inhale what was the foreign substance floating in the air with it resulting in a mighty sneeze but much to the goblins surprise the sneezing goblin grew by a few inches, his fellow goblins gawked at him in silent amazement, the younger goblins look down at their hands to see the worts and cuts on their hands have disappeared, the ones who were doing 'snow' angels backs had straightened out. It seemed any ailment they had, the golden dust not only cured but made better.
they finally realized.
"MAGIC!" thankful tears of joy overflowed in the streets of the goblin city with confetti and chickens randomly appearing out of nowhere again. the goblins were dancing, singing and some were trying to bathe in the magic and some were trying to put it in their hats or pockets and shoes along with their usual poor rendition of 'magic dance'.
Goblins knew very little about magic, only that Jareth was cable of doing it and that he is fae, however, they knew that this was something different to Jareth, they are not sure what but they knew it was good and that's all they cared about.
At the Castle, Jareth overheard the unwelcome ruckus in his city, bloodshot eyes flashed open "Why oh why is there this almighty, annoying noise disturbing me?" he groaned, An agitated Jareth pinched the bridge of his noise sighing and rolled over to leave his bed, he couldn't be bothered with the effort of putting on his robe so he just draped it over his shoulders, the still half asleep king sloppily walked over to his window. Scanning over his city for the offending noise, he found the culprits "WHAT IS WITH ALL THE-" He growls then paused "...noise?", His goblins were rejoicing in the street by singing and dancing, all goblins young and old, small and tall, ugly and uglier were celebrating for no apparent reason "I know they're stupid but even this is beyond them" he breathed exasperated, he turned to return to his slumber until the scent of cinnamon enchanted his senses.
"look again Jareth"
Jareth turned to face the window only to be blinded by what he thought was the sun causing him to shield his eyes, he ventured further toward the window. He unmasked his eyes. He was greeted by the sun reflecting on his labyrinth but as a field of sparkling pure magic, the particles gracing the swirling wind, he didn't where heaven stopped and the Labyrinth started. It truly was a beautiful sight so much so that a tear escaped Jareths dilated eye "wh-what...what is this?" He reached out his gloved hand to touch the falling magic.
"You should know Jareth, I told you there would be changes for our queen"
He tried to examine a piece of dust only for it to disappear in his gloved fingers
"This is pure magic"
"look Jareth" the voice of the spirit influenced him to gaze over to the small cluster of dying flowers climbing up the tower wall by his window, the small specks of dust faintly graced the decrepit petals and leaves, he waited a moment for something to happen but quickly lost interest.
"What?" he shrugged
"Watch"
The specks encased the flowers and leaves in a body of dazzling gold and shone brilliantly making Jareth shield his eyes again, the gleaming flowers dimmed to reveal it was...alive, Jareth's eyes widen open in astonishment as he knew there was very little magic that could bring things back from the dead, His gloved finger lightly touched the dainty petal "amazing" he whispered in astonished disbelief. The flowers were alive again, stronger than ever he even noticed that the vines were spawning fruit and all Jareth could do was gaze at their beauty which reminded him of Sarah.
An idea flashed to him with Jareth thinking he could be sneaky.
He cunningly but cautiously ungloved his right hand in the hope the ancient magic would heal his bonding scar, he stretched out his naked hand and wishfully waited for the specks to heal him as it did with his subjects. The fine dust fell to his hand, he gazed at his hand in sorrowful anticipation as the specks melted into his scar, a slight tingle then nothing, his hand remained the same.
"nice try Jareth"
"I just thought that I could...nevermind" He sighed with a disappointed tint in his voice
"Bonding magic is a little more ancient and powerful than transformation magic"
"Maybe I should have known better"
"maybe you should"
Jareth looked out at his new flourishing kingdom wondering how Sarah would enjoy the new flowers and fruits.
...
*6 months later*
Magic was jumping in the air with the Labyrinth looking like a fairytale landscape from a bygone romantic era, the labyrinth had grown an abundance of new flowers, fruits, vegetables, and trees with new sprouts growing continuously and with that, the citizens of the labyrinth have had an overflow of fruit however they never grow hungry.
this gave Jareth an idea.
He knew Sarah would, of course, be visiting today. Sarah has been visiting the Labyrinth for 2 years and she recently turned 17, it was winter Aboveground, however, the Spirit's transformation magic created an eternal spring Underground. He would gaze into Sarah's dreams to make sure it looked exactly how she dreamt it to be with many secretive conversations between himself and the spirit to make sure all went to plan, they wanted the Labyrinth to be her sanctuary.
Jareth made a special request that she should be early today and that she's free for the whole day making Sarah suspicious as Jareth rarely made requests about her visits but she had to uphold her part of the bargain. traveling through the mirror she was still amazed by the fantasy that Jareth and the spirit had handcrafted for her. "Gosh" Sarah exclaimed, "it just seems this place is getting prettier and prettier" She looked around to see if anything had changed, the scent of cinnamon filled her nose and magic fixing itself to her face and eyelashes, a feeling of euphoria overcame her giving her a high feeling like fairies were kissing her cheeks. she smiled to herself with her face glistening and her emerald eyes twinkling.
"Let's see what Jareth wants" she said to herself
Sarah searched for Jareth looking around the meadows, fields, and creeks, she even searched around the now cleared Bog of Eternal stench for him. Around the bog, she gazed into the beautiful clear pool surrounding the bridge, rocks, and trees, even the small rock bridge was still there from her first visit, it was hard for her to believe that the murky, disgusting bog had cleared into a shimmering oasis of life.
Sarah caught herself looking at her reflection and adjusting her hair 'my hair is so limp and ugh this face, why can't I be like the girls at school?' a bird-like noise in the trees paused her vanity causing her to turn "Jareth?" no answer, she turned back to her gazing 'no wonder no boys at school like me' she sighed to herself "but you have more important things to think about" she confided with her watery reflection, turning to face a small group of trees she wondered if that's where Jareth was hiding "it's worth a shot" she said herself looking for some reassurance.
"Jareth!" she was greeted with nothing.
"Ja-reth!" Sarah howled up into the trees just in case he decided to hide in his owl form
Huffing in frustration her patience was wearing thin "Fine Jareth, if you're not going to come out I'll go, I've done my end of the bargain today. You said as long or as little as I like and I've done that" calling up to the trees with still no answer, "And I've been here for an hour" only response she got was the sound of the wind making the branches twitch "Fine, I'm going home" she muttered feeling disappointed, she lifted her dress up making her way out of the small family of trees she was amongst, she pulled out her crystal.
"What is with all the shrieking fair maiden?" Jareth appeared behind her casually leaning against a tree with his ever-present smirk.
No matter how many times Sarah saw Jareth his beauty always spellbound her, every time she saw him it was like she was seeing him for the first time especially during the peach dream. It made Jareth feel powerful knowing that he had this effect on her, He could almost see her eyes dilate when she saw him and she could feel her body tremble near him.
"and where have you been?" Sarah was visibly annoyed "I've spent the past hour looking for you and you just..." She hastily gestured towards him becoming flustered "...show up"
"Now, now Sarah you do exaggerate. It was 45 minutes to be exact" His smirk grew into a devilish grin
The couple stood there for a good moment to staring at each other in a battle of wills, Sarah's face was fierce and determined whereas Jareths was cool knowing he was winning with his tormenting smirk 'you are a worthy opponent Sarah, but soon you will bend and you'll be mine' his eyes narrowed at her causing her to break off the deep eye contact.
Jareth's eye contact was like a drug to her which felt like a kiss whilst being stabbed, it was painful but so intoxicating, sometimes the pain was unbearable she had to look away from him but she couldn't resist his beauty so she continued to look deep into his eyes and fight the pain. He got the best of her today as per usual, she looked away from him to refocus herself with the pain of being stabbed still present, it took a few moments but her strength and will allow her to stand up straight and face him.
"what do you have planned for me today Jareth?" she sighed
"Well Precious, I have a task for you and your little friends, something to keep you rather busy for the next few hours" he smiled
"What's the task?" Sarah was genuinely puzzled by this as whenever she visited her days mostly consisted of her learning new skills such as painting, needlework and sewing, diction and elocution, etiquette, reading, and penmanship there were even the few occasions Jareth taught her sword fighting, horseriding, and stargazing which Sarah wondered why she was learning all these new things and Jareth merely responded that he thought they would be fitting.
Jareth didn't answer with him turning, walking deeper into the Labyrinth with Sarah following him.
"So what's the task?" Sarah questioned growing more frustrating with Jareths ignorance
Sarah stopped, "I'm not moving anymore until you tell me what this task is, this is not f-"
Jareth shot Sarah a fearsome look which left her statement unfinished
"Don't forget yourself, Sarah, you're not asking the right questions"
Sarah stood pausing to think 'ask the right question?' she mused to herself with Jareth waiting for her to question him properly.
"What is the task I have to do today your majesty?"
Jareth smirked at her
"That's the right question" he smiled making her blush slightly
Jareth reached his hand up into the air only for a tree branch adorned with tiny pink blossoms to shake his hand, this bewildered Sarah as she'd never seen them doing that before, the branches hand passed Jareth a bright red apple bejeweled with dazzling dew drops, it probably the most delicious looking apple Sarah had ever seen.
Jareth bit into its crisp, red skin exposing its pure snow-white flesh, the juice running a lonely stream down his chin "mmm delectable" he purred, promptly wiping away the juice with his gloved hand.
"As you have noticed, The labyrinth has been overflowing with a generous amount of fruit and flowers lately and my goblins have been harvesting it, however, they have been so hard at work that they're exhausted" Jareth's voice went higher acting with false sympathy strolling over to her still eating the apple, he began circling her with Sarah feeling her nerves rising and her face turning same shade as a lady Williams.
"and I want you and your friends to do some of the harvestings today" he innocently smiled, "That's all you want me to do? Do you want me to pick fruit for a few hours? that's it?" Sarah questioned in disbelief, Sarah felt somewhat offended that Jareth was making her do something she considered 'goblins work' because she knew goblins only had the intelligence to do menial and mundane tasks therefore she didn't welcome the idea with open arms.
"Yes, if you're going to be a citizen of the Labyrinth you might as well earn your keep and work like a Labyrinthian citizen...if that's not too difficult for you" He smirked turning away from her.
"fine" She agreed accompanied by an annoyed groan.
...
Trudging through the Labyrinth grassy moors, Sarah and Jareth come to a large meadow of luscious trees all perfectly lined in a row as far as the eyes could see, every possible fruiting tree from a storybook was there with patches of pumpkins, strawberries, squashes, blackcurrants, and raspberries were growing too, with the trees fallen blossoms cascading across the grass. The meadow had been washed by wildflowers scattered across the landscape particularly gathered in bunches by the tree trunks along with some toadstools and mushrooms, Sarah could spot bluebells, snowdrops, foxgloves, poppies, crocuses, and Jareth's favorite, the kingcup flower. Sarah gasped at how many trees were in front of her, there were apples, pears, cherries, plums, nectarines, and of course peaches.
Sarah could see her friends had started already making a mess of things.
"Hoggle, Ludo, Didymus!" Sarah joyfully waved at them with a smile
"Sarah!" they responded in unison
Excitedly running away from Jareth's side she greeted them, "Are you guys okay?" she smiled at seeing them with their small wicker baskets and aprons, she thought they all looked rather cute, "no I ain't okay, I have to pick these darn fruits and there gettin' everywhere" Hoggle complained at his stained apron, "Alas Sir Hoggle, we have been tasked by the king to pick the Labyrinths finest fruits and do it we shall, besides our fairest maiden has come to join us" Sir Didymus reminded Hoggle rather proudly with Hoggle rolling his eyes at him, "SARAH PICK FRUIT" Ludo interjected making Sarah giggle.
"Right guys, let's get started!" Sarah's foot barely moved off the floor before she was interrupted.
"Wait Sarah" completely forgetting that Jareth was still behind them, she heard his footsteps crunching against the grass.
"You three go and I want these trees to be barren when your done, understand?" Jareth shooed the trio away.
"Yes, Yes your majesty" Hoggle complied nervously bowing at Jareth
"Your wish is my command, most regal goblin king" Sir Didymus took off his hat respectfully bowing at Jareth, "Come on Ambrosius, off picking we go!" He climbed onto his noble 'steed' following Hoggle.
Ludo replied with "OKAY KING", thumping behind Didymus.
Leaving Sarah and Jareth standing with Sarah at the side of him and his arms folded, Sarah noticed him eying her with a smirk curling on his lips, it was beginning to make her feel uncomfortable.
"what?"
"Sarah, what you're wearing is entirely inappropriate for this task"
"What are you talking about? I'm wearing what you've asked me to wear, me and your seamstresses spent all last week making this dress and you don't like it?" she looked down at her dress admiring the duck egg blue dress with embroidered flowers
"No, not that I don't like it, Precious, it's just not appropriate for fruit picking. It's entirely too fussy for what you're doing" he smirked
"Well I don't know, I don't have anything else to wear and I don't suppose you want me weari-" she was cut off.
POOF
Sarah was showered in glitter only to see her entire outfit had changed into a milkmaid dress with a white top exposing her soft, pale arms and brown flowy skirt that just grazed her ankles, on top she was also wearing an apron, she felt upwards noticing her hair had changed into a braided updo rather than her free-flowing hair she had previously adorned by a flower crown.
Sarah wasn't particularly happy about the abrupt outfit change.
"Now off you pop" Jareth smiled mockingly at her with a spare wicker basket hanging from his finger
Sarah aggressively grabbed the basket from him with an annoyed scrunched-up face, her expression was sweeter than any apple to him hearing her angrily muttering to herself.
"and don't take too long Precious, don't want that fruit going rotten" He flashed her a devilish grin
turning away from Jareth to start her task an annoyed sigh escaped her lips and she greeted her friends at their first tree, Jareth watched them only see that Hoggle and Didymus were already arguing with each other, Sarah as usual was being the moderator thinking of solutions rather problems and Ludo was just happy to be there.
Jareth smirked then vanished.
...
Back at the castle, daily chaos and disorder were ruling the throne room with Jareth growing tired and annoyed at the anarchy. Goblins were throwing themselves around overjoyed thinking that they have a 'day off'. the sheer audacity of that thought sickened Jareth.
"DAY OFF! DAY OFF! DAY OFF!" a small goblin chanted merrily however it had the misfortune of walking past a vexed Jareth.
"do you think this is a day off?" Jareth questioned the little goblin
the happy song came to a quick halt with the goblins face sinking into fear because the king speaking to him
"Uh-huh" it nervously nodded its head
Jareth lifted himself off his throne to come closer to the goblin even crouching down to its level, snaking his gloved hand around its shoulders trying to make it feel more 'comfortable'
"and what gave you that impression?" he purred giving it an intimidating smile
"Jus', jus' that queeny, haggle, the dog an' rock monster are fruit picking an' we been doin' it all the time, your highness" Jareth could feel its tiny frame beginning to shiver in his hand causing him to grin all the more.
"Oh really? but I still don't know why you would think you have the day off" gloved fingers started to snake around the little goblin's neck, he could see it visibly shaking in front of him trying to look away from him.
"So answer my question, do you think this is a day off?" the terrified goblin let out a small squeak being too scared to answer
"Not answering, eh?" Jareth's fingers formed into a fist surrounding the goblin's neck, lifting it off the floor as he was choking it, the goblin's hands were clawing at Jareth's hand with it desperately gasping for air with Jareth only wanting to squeeze its neck more.
"My loyal subjects" The whole room fell silent and the atmosphere turned tense, the goblins eyes went like plates seeing Jareth choking such a young goblin but this was how Jareth felt he could get his message across to them.
"This young goblin thought it was a smart idea to ignore his duty to his king" all eyes on Jareth gazed up at him in fear and obedience making an example of the foolish goblin, "And any goblin who question my authority will receive a fate worse than what this goblin is currently experiencing" the small goblin was still gasping for breath with its face turning blue and its legs frantically wriggling to escape but this only made Jareth squeeze harder.
Jareth looked over at his hopeless subjects seeing the fear on their ugly faces, he acknowledged that they understood, he then turned to his victim to see tears streaming down its face with him uncontrollably trying to remove Jareths iron grip. Jareth glared deeply into its eyes and what was there was innocence, not quite like Sarah's but more like Tobys which struck an image of him choking Toby. He stopped, dropping the goblin to the floor with a thud.
The small goblin filled its lungs with air, letting out a series of coughs and splutters with some goblins coming to his aid.
Jareth reframed himself from his temporary moment of vulnerability by closing his eyes and inhaling deeply, "I am, however, A generous king, therefore, I spared this goblins life but let this be a warning that in this kingdom there is no such thing as a 'day off' unless I say otherwise" Jareth heard a small chorus of gulps, he could see the fear and admiration in their little eyes that he craved. he smirked.
"Now, don't you all have jobs to do?" the goblins looked at each other cluelessly with some light muttering among them, Jareth raised an eyebrow "well?" and with that, the goblins were going berserk trying to find anything to just get out of their king's way or face his wrath.
Looking over Jareth saw the small goblin still panting for breath "Thank you! oh thank you! most gracious kingy!" guilt smacked Jareth seeing the poor creatures chest rapidly moving up and down for breath "will never question kingy auth-autho-authowitty again" his shakey frame somehow managed to get itself up and its voice even coarser than before, it was obvious he has damaged the goblins vocal cords. Jareth was doing his best to not look at the goblin with him awkwardly standing around waiting for the goblin to leave.
"Don't you have work to be doing?" Jareth asked rather shortly trying to get the goblin to leave.
"Yes! Oh Yes! I go work for wonderful kingy!" The young goblin scuttles out of the throne room with a spring in its step joyfully singing about how honored it was for such a 'king and gracious' king.
Silence in the throne room enough to hear a pin drop, Jareth looked around surprised to see that he was the only one still there, he sighed in relief 'what in the Labyrinth just happened?', his boots clinked loudly against the stone floor making his way to his throne, he resumed his usual position with his leg swung over the arm of the throne, he flung his head back and facepalmed letting out a low, annoyed growl, 'I'm lucky Sarah wasn't here to see that' he pondered feeling relaxed at the throne rooms tranquility.
"you're lucky she didn't see that indeed"
Jareth's peace was shortlived, his face scrunched knowing he'd been caught 'not now, can't you just let me have peace'
"No I can't let you have peace, I saw what you just did. really being a good example, aren't you?"
"I know" Jareth put his hand to his forehead with his still casually flung over his thrones because he didn't feel much like moving "I know I shouldn't have done that, but I can't have them running amuck otherwise this kingdom will be destroyed by its own chaos and bless their little loyal hearts, goblins can't care for themselves...without me, they'll just wander the Underground, nobody else will take them in and then...then they'll cease to exist" he sorrowfully confessed.
"but now that little goblins vocal cords are damaged thanks to his 'kind and generous' king, luckily for him, breathing in my magic will heal him...that's if you haven't damaged them too much already"
"your magic will be strong enough to fix him, he'll be fine" Jareth remained dormant, going so far as closing his eyes.
"You think fear and control will make them love you, including your Sarah"
Jareth opened one eye to the comment then quickly closed it, seemingly unbothered.
"fear and control is what has gotten me where I am today and if it wasn't for those Sarah wouldn't be here right now so I don't see your point" he shrugged
"she'd be horrified if she knew what you doing moments ago, I know you saw an innocense like her beloved brothers in that goblin and that's why you stopped"
"Yes, the goblin just happened to remind me of Toby, so what?"
"You're speaking to me very unwisely Jareth, I don't want to remind you of what I can do unlike you there's a reason to my punishments and I see them through properly"
"I know" he breathed
The room fell silent again, Jareth celebrated his lone moments as the occasion was rare in the throne room, the only thing he could hear was some mild cluttering noises coming from far downstairs in the kitchen and the birds tweeting outside. Peace. Feeling his weary eyes carrying a tired heaviness, the king fell asleep.
"It's all your fault" whispered in his ear
"She'll never love you" came from behind him
"She's only doing this for her brother" came from the left
"You only want her to fear you" came from the right
"you control her" was in front of his face
His eyes flashed open to see the throne room was still empty yet it felt like somebody was watching him with intensity, but not just one person but a room full of invisible people, all watching him judging him, whispering to themselves about how he's a bad king, a dream taker and a coward, yet the room was completely empty but he could feel the invisible eyes burning him with their stares.
"She's just a child!" a voice shouted at him
"You've taken her life from her!" shouted another
"couldn't just let her win and be free"
Jareth could feel the invisible crowd nearing him, "No! I offered her everything she could ever wish for and more! she will be my queen and rule the Labyrinth at my side forever!"
"you forced her to"
"manipulated a scared child"
Getting annoyed at these accusations, Jareth barked back "I won fair and square! I offered her the best solution and if it wasn't for me her brother would be scrubbing pots by now!"
the voices came closer
"and nearly killing one of his subjects"
"he threatened the girl too"
"You'll be all alone forever"
"monsters like you aren't capable of love"
Jareth threw himself up "I am a monster...but I am also a king, I will have Sarah as my queen and she will love me, I told her forever and I guarantee I will get my forever" he seethed, the room was silenced.
"fear and control" a voice whispered
"Fear and control" whispered another
"Fear and control" one shouted
the few voices grew into many, all shouting in unison "FEAR AND CONTROL!"
amongst the chanting, one voice stood out from all the rest. "You think fear and control will make them love you, including your Sarah"
Jareth crouched to the floor covering his ears with his gloved hands, his face twisted by torture telling himself 'no', and the words 'fear and control' bellowing in his eyes.
the voices came closer and consumed him. everything went black.
Jerking himself up, Jareth was heavily puffing and panting with beads of sweat pouring down his carved face, distressed by his nightmare he wildly checked around his surroundings and even put his hands to his chest and face to see if it was real.
"Is anyone here?" he was greeted by no answer
growing angry at the silence he roared "is anyone here?!" the room echoed with his roar scaring the birds outside.
"Only I am here, my king"
he was shaken by his nightmare "I...I fell asleep?"
"Yes and your queen has nearly finished, I suggest you reward her for her hard work"
Still discombobulated and distressed, he pulled out a crystal to see Sarah was laughing at Hoggle, Didymus, and ludo who were climbing on each other's shoulders to reach the furthest apples on the tall branches. this image put his mind at ease seeing his Sarah laughing, he stroked the crystal imaging that he was stroking Sarah's hair and a light, content smile brightened his face.
"You're right but what should I give her as a reward?" he mused
"talk to the flowers"
"Perfect!" Jareth exclaimed snapping his fingers.
Jareth's human form melted away into an owl, flying out of the window to see his Sarah.
What a long chapter! As I said, this chapter will be split into 2 parts which hopefully part 2 will be up soon. thank you for reading!
