Atri P.O.V

I was born and raised for the majority of my life in Japan. I spent 7th grade at Aldera Junior High, my quirk hidden from everyone as I had wanted. The only person who knew about my quirk was my best friend; Katsuki Bakugou.

We had been best friends ever since I transferred from another school for Elementary school. I had helped him whenever he had panic attacks about not being accepted into U.A. I had been there to help build his confidence the best I could.

Of course he could be an arrogant prick… but he was kind to me behind closed doors. I was fine if he was at least decent to me whenever we were alone. We managed to stay friends for a few years before my Mother and Father had gotten sent to America for a job opportunity.

I was torn when they broke the news to me because I knew that there wasn't anyone else that could help Bakugou with his panic attacks or help get him down from his high whenever he felt too confident.

Now I sit on the plane watching Japan grow in size as I return back to my home country where my grandmother had offered to house me so that I could attend the school of my dreams.

Just like Bakugou I had wanted to attend U.A it was my dream I wanted to become a hero just like the hero All Might or Hawks or even Endeavor; but of course not as cruel as he is.

I had sent in a dozen letters of recommendation from pro heroes in America who all let me help in investigations on uprising heroes in exchange for letters of recommendation. I had recieved my acceptance letter from U.A. a couple days before I boarded the plane to Japan.

I hadn't spoken with Katsuki for almost a year so I decided that a little bit longer would be fine as long as I could see him when I get to U.A. He had sent me a copy of his acceptance letter with a letter written in his own scrawl excitement clear with the ridgid strokes as he wrote down my name.

For a time there I was depressed because I was attending a school where the majority was quirkless therefore it didn't have the greatest training program for my quirk but it was nice… I guess.

I received another letter from U.A. saying that I was going to be living in the dorms on campus the class 2-A dorms to be exact my room would be on the fifth floor room number...20.

I roll my suitcase down the landing seeing my grandmother in the distance waiting for me. She stands tall looking down at me. Sadly I didn't inherit my grandmother's height, instead I received my fathers short form.

She hugs me not saying anything instead breathing deeply as if she was stopping herself from crying.

"I missed you Nana!" I say releasing her.

"God… you've grown so much, how old are you again 16?" She asks incredulously.

I nod.

"Well we should probably get to the car," she says, taking my carry along bag. "Your parents sent all of your belongings to the dorms already so that's where we are heading."

"Oh really?" I ask, trying to keep my excitement down. She smirks looking back at me.

"I am so proud of you for getting into U.A.-I just can't even imagine," my grandmother looks out the window a dreamy look on her face as the street lights flicker off one by one as the day begins.

"I worked really hard to get those recommendations from pro-heroes in America," I say.

"You have a very powerful quirk...I mean it isn't necessarily what I expected when you were born but it seemed like it was better," she grins as we start up the hill to the school that I would be calling my home.

"I'll visit you whenever I can get a break from work…" She says smiling. "But, you need to stay safe, especially with the League of Villains at large still… you need to be careful regardless of however powerful a quirk you have."

I nod understanding. What did she think that I was going to do? Go searching for the villains myself? No. No, I wasn't going to do that. I'm smarter than that.

"I received a call from the principal who wanted me to explain how your first day is going to go. You will go to the dorms to your dorm since the dorms will be vacant you will put away your belongings and then change into your uniform. After that you will go up to the main building to class 2-A." She says.

"Alright sounds good, thank you for picking me up Nana," I say, hugging her again before exiting the car, grabbing my suitcase and carry along bag. "I love you! See you soon!"

"See you soon Atri," my grandmother's voice calls out as I walk through the gates into the dorm area of U.A.

I find the class 2-A dorm rather quickly entering the building, the smell of clean sawdust still in the air mixed with some sort of floral scent. I shake it off, dragging my suitcase through the common area and beside the kitchen to the elevator.

I walk into the elevator pressing the button with number 5 written on it. As soon as it lights up the doors close going up stopping five floors above the ground floor.

The silence of the building gives me an eerie feeling as I walk down the hall searching for my room. At the end of the hall I find dorm number 20. I grab the key that I received in the mail unlocking the door to my room.

The room is bare aside from a couple boxes, a bed and desk. I see that they managed to send my furniture up here instead of having me use the beds that they would have provided for me. I pull out my bed things and start putting away everything the best that I can.

Soon after I was dressed and ready for my first day I headed out of the dorms making my way up the path to the door to U.A. using the map that I was provided with, I walked up the stairs to the outside of class 2-A the large door closed, making me feel extremely nervous.

I can hear voices on the other side well, mainly one the teacher explaining that there was going to be a new student. He didn't give much of an explanation until the whole class started talking over him.

I take this as a good time to knock on the door lightly. The class goes silent.

I made sure that my blonde hair was out of my face gripping my clammy hands together as the door slid open. A tall sleepy looking man with a five o'clock shadow stares down at me.

"I'm guessing you're the new student," he asks, sighing tiredly as he observes me. I nod to him, feeling even worse than I already felt.

"Well then, come on, follow me," he says, turning around walking back into the classroom. I keep my head down scared to make eye contact with anyone inside the room. I stand next to the sleepy teacher at the front of the classroom.

"Well?" He asked me. I took a glance at him before realizing he wanted me to introduce myself. I avert my gaze back to the floor as the teacher walked away from me and pulled himself into a yellow sleeping bag.

"Well...uh-I-I'm Atri...Atri Lee," I say, feeling my cheeks burn dangerously hot as the students whisper to one another. I don't risk looking up at them as I watch my feet rocking back and forth on my heels.

"Atri? Lee?" I hear someone with a gruff voice say incredulously. "Atri!"

Soon I was tackled in the arms of someone. I realized that the someone was Katsuki Bakugou who was hugging me. I wrapped my arms around him, he's taller than I remember probably because he finally had his growth spurt.

I smell the familiar smokiness of his quirk alongside the new scent of an expensive cologne.

He releases me and I have to catch my breath when I look at him again. My gaze meeting his crimson irises a grin on his face as his hands are on the sides of my shoulders.

"Katsuki!" I say happily. "I've missed you!"

I wrap him in yet another hug ignoring the comments from others.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming to U.A.?" He asked me.

"Well I wanted it to be a surprise and also because I didn't know if we'd be in the same class as each other!" I say laughing as he observes me.

"All I can say is you are loads different," He says, sighing. I laugh looking him up and down feeling butterflies in my stomach as I see that he is too. His hair and eyes are still the same, but now he had a well defined jawline as well as a large muscled torso.

"I can't believe this, I must be dreaming," He murmurs, releasing me, pinching himself on the hand as he used to when he was amazed at something.

"I've never seen Bakugou this excited before," A voice says from behind him.

"Shut up Dunce Face," Bakugou says, his mood changing completely.

A golden blonde boy emerges into my line of sight, a lightning bolt shaped black mark on his hair with yellow eyes. Another boy is on the other side of Bakugou with red hair and red eyes.

"I'm Kaminari and you can call me anytime," the first boy says, smirking at me as I shake his hand, rolling my eyes.

"Right…" I say before shaking the other boy's hand.

"I'm Kirishima," the boy with the spiky red hair says.

"Okay, okay that's enough shitty hair," Bakugou says, smacking his hand away from mine. Another thing about Katsuki is that he is very possessive over friends. If he likes someone or cares about them he will become overprotective and possessive.

"Katsuki…" I scold laughing as guides me to an empty desk towards the back. I guess this is where I'll be sitting from now on.

I see a familiar head of broccoli green hair in front of me. I stand up going around Katsuki to see Izuku Midoriya sitting in the seat in front of me.

"Midoriya?" I ask, feeling extremely confused as he was quirkless from what I remember. But, I was always nice to him because he didn't have a whole lot of friends and most of the time I prevented Katsuki from hurting him for no good reason.

"H-hey Atri," He says nervously.

"Give me a hug!" I say excitedly.

He stands up showing off a well built body just like Katsuki except a little slimmer. I hug him tightly. He doesn't seem as different as he looked; he was still the sweet little guy who would never harm something without a reason. The exact polar opposite of Katsuki.

Midoriya and I had birthdays just a couple days away from each other so I always knew how old he was. He was 16 just like me, just four days younger than me.

"How'd you get into U.A.? I thought that you were...quirkless," I ask him, feeling slightly bad.

"Him? Quirkless?" I hear a boy behind me say. "You sound just like Bakugou at least when we all first got here."

"My quirk was just really late," Midoriya says, shrugging looking quite nervous.

"Well what is it?" I ask.

"U-uh well you'll get to see it later when we have hero studies... It's nothing like yours though," he says.

"Really? Well alright then I can't wait to see your late developed quirk," I say winking at him smiling as I take my seat again Katsuki sliding into the vacant desk beside me.

"So this is homeroom? What do we do?" I ask him.

"Not a whole lot really, it's just here for announcements," He shrugs.

"Oh...so that's why he's sleeping in the corner," I giggle, pointing at the teacher who looks like a lump of clothes in the corner of the classroom.

Katsuki looks lost staring at me as I look back at him.

"Yeah-" he clears his throat. "Yeah he sleeps like most of the time."

I nod understanding the feeling.

"After this is lunch, the food here is pretty good but not as good as your cooking of course," He says shyly.

"Oh shut up, I doubt that," I laugh.

The people around us just look from one another with confused expressions on their faces.

"Hi!" I hear a feminine voice squeal. "I'm Mina!"

A pink skinned girl with curly hair and little tan antennas on her head that bounced slightly when she stuck her hand out to me to shake. Grinning at her enthusiasm I shake her hand vigorously, happy that now that I know Katsuki was here I felt a thousand times more comfortable.

"I mean I know you'll probably be sitting with the Boom Boom Boy-" She says.

"HEY SHUT IT EXTRA!" Katsuki interrupts her.

"BUT, you will need some girlfriends here so I'm volunteering," Mina says smiling.

"I'd love that thank you and yes today I will be sitting with here," I smirk looking at Katsukis blushing face.

"Shut it…" he growls quietly.

Mina, Kaminari and Kirishima look at each other before bursting out laughing at his expression, the red on his cheeks matching his crimson eyes.

After I had been introduced to everyone in the class the bell rang conveniently as Katsuki was getting fiery and jealous at the people surrounding me begging for me to tell them my quirk.

He stood up pushing through the crowd grabbing my hand lightly as he pulled me out of the room and down the hall to the Lunch Rush in the giant cafeteria, a delicious smell wafting from the kitchen.

We stood in line together, the line that wraps around the entire cafeteria, the other classes who heard me giving me sideglances that told me whether or not they found me interesting.

"Another Class 2-A loser huh?" I hear a voice call from in front of me.

A blonde head pops out behind a cluster of people with big blue eyes that took up almost his entire face. He walks over to me and Katsuki; shorter than Katsuki but taller than me.

"I'm Monoma from class B," He introduces himself looking at me with a surprised look on his face as he observes me for some reason.

"Atri-" I introduced myself to him.

"You don't need to bother with this loser Atri, I'll be happy to-" He starts but Katsuki steps in front of me towering over Monoma with an angry expression on his face.

"What was that Extra?" He asks angrily.

"Katsuki stop he isn't worth it c'mon let's just move up in line," I say, grabbing onto his arm dragging him away from the other boy.

"I didn't like the way he was looking at you-" Katsuki says, trying to defend himself.

"It's okay 'Suki," I say, calling him by his nickname that I gave him when we were kids. "I didn't either."

Katsuki gave me a small grin before guiding me up to the front of the line where we were greeted with ease by the Lunch lady who asked us what we wanted.
