Episode 265: Beg, Burrow, and Steal
A couple of days had passed since seeing May again at the Purika Town Contest. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth continued on their way to Serrosey City to get to Sootopolis City for Sora's final Hoenn Gym battle. They are unaware of Chaotix following them. Vector is determined to learn about Sora anyway he can. Vector took out a pair of binoculars and peaked through them.
"Hm. Now where would those two little kiddies be heading?" Vector asked.
"You tell us, Vector. We have been following them for the last couple of days," Charmy said.
"I heard them say they're heading to a place called Sootopolis City. The boy there had said something about a badge from a gym," Espio said.
"Maybe, it could be some sort of membership drive and a badge must be like an ID. Or perhaps more to it than we think," Vector said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth made a stop for some training as well as for lunch. Sora exchanged Ninjask, and Shedinja for Nuzleaf, and Loudred. Sora had let out both of Lombre and Nuzleaf and held out a Leaf Stone and a Water Stone. Team Chaotix watched on.
"Okay, I know that the Gym Leader there is going to be tough, so I figured that it was time for you to evolve now. So, Lombre and Nuzleaf. Are you ready?" Sora asked. Nuzleaf nods and Lombre slouched reached for the Water Stone. "I'll take that for a yes." Lombre started to evolve. Team Chaotix watches on as they witnessed Pokémon evolution. It was a first for Espio since he wasn't present for Nincada's evolution. Lombre had evolved into a Ludicolo and started dancing. Ludicolo grabs Sora as he kept on dancing. "You sure love to dance!"
"Watching that thing dancing like that is sure funny," Charmy said laughing.
"How did it change its appearence so quick?" Espio asked.
"I think it has something to do with that little rock that kid was holding. The way they change must differ from each other," Vector said.
"Just like that bug from a couple days ago? How come it didn't split into two?" Charmy asked.
"Maybe, there are certain ways to make them change their appearance. Not only they get bigger, but the get stronger too. Also, they don't seem to turn back. So, the change is permanent," Vector deduced.
"Then, how can you explain the dancing?" Espio asked.
"The transformation must have something to do with their personalities. That lily pad creature couldn't before," Vector deduced. Ludicolo continued dancing as Sora dropped the Leaf Stone in his hand. Nuzleaf went to pick it up. As soon as Nuzleaf touched it, he started to evolve.
"It's changing too!" Charmy said.
"Two in done day!" Espio said.
"Let's see how this goes," Vector said.
Nuzleaf had evolved into a Shiftry. The newly evolved swings his leafy hands and whipped up a Leaf Tornado.
"Wow! That was an awesome Leaf Tornado, Shiftry!" Sora said, while Ludicolo was still dancing while holding Sora.
"Definitely not a dancer, but that was an impressive attack," Espio said.
"And that is even scarier than that cactus thing from the contest," Charmy said, shaking.
"Also, slightly different personality as I deduced. There must be more to the changes than I thought," Vector said.
Kairi had prepared a meal for everyone to enjoy. It happens to be some soup. The smell of the soup filled Team Chaotix's nostrils.
"Smells so good! I'm getting hungry," Charmy said with his mouth watering.
"Keep it together, Charmy. We don't wanna be seen," Vector told his co-worker.
"Can't help it," Charmy said.
"I think I saw some bushes with this kind of fruit," Espio said, holding out an Oran Berry. "What do you make of it?" Vector took the berry and examined it.
"Definitely not the kind of fruit you would find on Monius. This piece of fruit must be what those creatures eat.
"Is it safe to eat?" Charmy asked. Vector ate it to find out. As chewed it he found it to his liking.
"It's not poisonous. Also, a pleasing taste," Vector stated.
"I have more," Espio said. Espio hands the bee more of the berries and he happily ate them, finding the taste to his liking.
Once lunch had ended, Kairi had let out Plusle, Minun, Castform, Corsola, and Surskit.
"Wow, it's that bug thing from that contest," Charmy said.
"Indeed, but the coloring is different," Espio said.
"Must be something about the coloring. We should just see what happens," Vector said.
"Okay Castform! Rain Dance!" Kairi ordered. Castform performs Rain Dance and it began to rain. Castform transformed into its Rainy Form.
"They can control the weather too?!" Vector exclaimed.
"Okay Surskit! You use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Surskit started to use her speed attack to move faster than normal. "Now use Bubble Beam!" Surskit fires Bubble Beam straight into the air. "Now use Ice Beam!" Surskit fired Ice Beam and froze the bubbles and rain water. Sora, Pikachu, and Meowth were impressed.
"Wow, that was something, Kairi," Sora said.
"Just a little something I picked up from your Gym battle, Sora," Kairi said, lovingly.
"And I thought I was a copycat," Meowth said.
"Now use another Bubble Beam and pop them all with Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Surskit fires Bubble Beam and dashes through the bubbles, popping one after another. Sora, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the other Pokémon applauded.
"Bravo, Kairi!" Sora said, clapping his hands. Kairi smiled at the compliment. Surskit then started to evolve. Team Chaotix had once again witnesses Pokémon evolution. The Shiny Surskit had evolved into a Masquerain. Kairi's newly evolved Masquerain is bright green colored on its head, body and rhombus-shaped wings. It has an orange colored nose area. "Look at that!"
"Surskit evolved into a Masquerain!" Kairi cheered. The Shiny Masquerain flies to Kairi's side and smiled. "Looks like you'll be even more dazzling than I thought you were." Masquerain beamed having to be praised by Kairi. Team Chaotix took notes on witnessing evolution once again.
Over in Kanto, members of Team Rocket has set up a phony cafe to lure unsuspecting trainers into a false sense of security. Genghis and Kahnnie had tipped off Jessie and James on the job and moved right in to intercept. Jessie and James's new outfits are the same as the old ones, but they are gold and has the Team Rocket logo with a block sign on top of it.
"Thanks for the tip," Jessie said.
"Anytime, Jessie and James," Kahnnie said. She broke communications with Jessie and James and began to their operation. The Team Rocket members saw the customers resting peacefully when they finally unleashed their trap. The trainers all let out their Pokémon to enjoy in the meal.
The Team Rocket Members all had let out their own Pokémon. A Rhyperior, along with some other Pokémon. One is a plump feline Pokémon with gray fur with a white face, a white chest, and white stripes on its legs. It has large ears with frilled purple tips, yellow eyes with black pupils and purple eyelids, a small black triangular nose, and a frowning face. It has long black wavy whiskers on either side of its wide face. It is quite round and pudgy in shape. It has small white paws, and a gray spring-like tail with a white fluffy tip split into two ends. It usually clenches its bloated belly with its prehensile split tail in order to push its fat towards its chest and hindquarters in order to make itself appear larger. Another is a Pokémon that resembles a fat white and purple skunk. It has a tail that covers its humped back and head, a plump belly, orange outlining near its eyes, an orange nose, and small fangs coming out of the side of its mouth. Its ears resemble cat ears. The last one is a Pokémon that resembles a poison dart frog. It has sickly blue skin with a bulging orange throat. Its middle toes are orange as well, and on both hands, it has a poisonous orange claw. Those Pokémon are known as Toxicroak, Skuntank, and Purugly. The trainers were caught off to see them.
"It's Team Rocket!" One trainer exclaimed.
"And they're gonna steal our Pokémon!" Another trainer stated.
"Attack!" One of the Team Rocket grunts ordered. The Team Rocket Pokémon launched their attacks, making many of the Pokémon scatter. Team Rocket rounded them all up and launched a giant net. The trainers themselves were tied up by some of the grunts.
"Didbwe get them all?" Another grunt asked.
"We sure did. None of them are going anywhere," the first grunt said.
"Now to make contact with HQ," the third grunt said. He made contact and Matori answers. "Our operation is a success, Miss Matori."
"Good. Have you difficulties?" Matori asked.
"None whatsoever, ma'am. Everything's going as planned," the third grunt said. Without warning, a huge mist of smoke suddenly appears. "What the?!"
"What's going on?! Answer! I order you to answer!" Matori commanded.
"Hey! What's going on?! AAH!" The third grunt screamed. The transmission had been cut. Matori was angered by this turn of development.
"It can't be them again!" Matori screamed, slamming her hands on the desk. "DAMMIT! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"
The smoke cleared by the time Officer Jenny and her two Growlithe arrived to the scene. She saw the trainers and their Pokémon safe and sound and the Team Rocket grunts rounded up. They had been placed in the same net.
"Can someone tell me what just happened?" Officer Jenny asked.
"We don't know. Team Rocket set a trap for us and then a cloud of smoke came out of nowhere and then we were free and so were our Pokémon. Don't know what happened with them," one of the trainers explained.
"Who called the police?" Another trainer asked.
"Well, someone placed a tip about a Team Rocket operation and I came rolling into action," Officer Jenny said. The trainers didn't know who to thank, but they were grateful that their Pokémon were all safe and sound.
Back at Team Rocket HQ, several of its members are in a tizzy. The grunts were starting to get intimidated. The executives and Giovanni were holding a secret meeting.
"This the third operation sting to fail in just a week!" Proton exclaimed.
"We spent weeks planning it! Nobody but us knew about it!" Petrel exclaimed.
"Well, someone did!" Ariana said.
"The question is who and how. We have necessary precautions to root out any police working undercover. Could it be possible that the police are starting to get even wiser to us?" Archer asked.
"I have a theroy," Giovanni finally spoke. "My theroy is, we have a leak," Giovanni said. The executives were shocked to hear him say such a possibility.
"A leak, sir?" Archer asked.
"How can you be certain?" Ariana asked.
"The only way that the authorities could have found out if someone; one of our own is telling them," Giovanni stated.
"Then, who could it be?" Proton asked.
"If we knew that, then we wouldn't be meeting in secret, would we?" Petrel said.
"Fair enough," Proton said.
"When word gets around, there will be baseless accusations and suspicions among our ranks. It'll spread like wildfire, if we leave it unchecked," Archer said.
"Which is why we must contain it before it progresses. No one but the five of us is to know this. And until we identify the leak, everyone is a suspect," Giovanni said.
"Yes sir," the executives said in acknowledgment.
"When there is nothing more, this meeting is dismissed," Giovanni said. He took his leave to find Matori waiting for him outside.
"Sir, you received a call into your office," Matori said.
"No one is to disturb me for the time being," Giovanni ordered.
"Yes sir," Matori said. He walked into his office and presses the button on his desk. The screens activates as the shadowy figures appears again. Giovanni notices a newcomer among the ranks.
"You are late, Giovanni," the first voice said.
"I had a meeting to attend, it could not be avoided," Giovanni said.
"We trust that your project is coming along nicely?" The fifth voice asked.
"We hope that there's no problem from your end," the third voice said.
"I assure you there isn't. I just require time to perfect it," Giovanni said.
"Time is all we have been giving you. What could be taking so long?" The fourth voice asked.
"Now, now, I'm sure he has his reasons," the second voice said.
"I do. I can give you exactly what I promised. All I ask is that you do the same," Giovanni said.
"Of course. We have the means of helping you out. In fact, we have brought you a little something to help you," the third voice said. Something teleported into his office. It was a red gem. "That is just one of seven of the Chaos Emeralds I had received. I shall deliever the remaining six Chaos Emeralds as soon as my forces delievers them to me." He laughs.
"And how can this piece of jewelry help me?" Giovanni asked.
"Oh, the Chaos Emeralds are no ordinary piece of jewelry. They all contain the energy to make those creatures more hateful to the people. You will need to acquire the remaining Chaos Emeralds to make that possible," the third voice said.
"Now that's an impressive piece of jewelry," the female voice said, intrigued.
"I'll say," the sixth voice said.
"I thank you," Giovanni said. They all cut the transmission as Giovanni gazes at the red Chaos Emerald in his hand. "A Chaos Emerald, huh? An appropriate name for such a fine gem."
Over in the unknown location, stepping forwards is a tall fat bald-headed man with a bushy mahogany mustache, a dome-shaped head with no visible neck. He has long arms and legs, wearing a pair Navy blue pince-nez glasses, gray hexagonal-shaped goggles, a red turtleneck jacket/coat with white trim, yellow cuffs and gold rectangular buttons, black one-piece pants/boots with silver accents and buttons, and a pair of white cuff-less gloves.
"Gotta hand it to you, it was a good idea on lending him the Chaos Emeralds," the man said.
Stepping out of the shadows is a dark-skinned man with red hair. He has reddish-orange eyes and a pointed nose. He wore a head piece on his forehead with rubies and a crimson cape with yellow linings. He wore clothing that are fitting for a warlock. On this right hand a symbol of three golden triangles glows.
"Indeed, Dr. Eggman. The plan to test the leader of Team Rocket is officially underway," the warlock said.
Entering from the shadows are the other members of his gathering. One is an bald-headed old man wearing a white lab coat. He has a gray mustache and gray hair on the side of his head. He wore a black dress shirt and red tie as well as dark pants with a belt buckle with a skull over the letter W on it.
The other is a large turtle-like creature with bushy eyebrows and mane are fittingly a bright, fiery red-orange and has bright red eyes. He sports two small horns, many spikes on his shell with brown-orange spike-rings, as well as along his tail. He wore several spiked collars around his neck and arms. He has three claws on each of his massive padded feet, four claw-tipped fingers including a thumb on each hand. He has a green face and shell and beiged colored muzzle.
Another is a tall robot with a bald head, with a green chest with a red jewel on the left side of his chest. He also has large hands He has scars over his blue eyes and spiked bracelets on his wrists. He also has brown boots attached to his black legs. His knees are spiked. He has a saber on his left.
Another is an anthromorphic crocodile with a large bulgy eye. He wore a red cape, a gold crown and has a gold underbelly. He has three clawed toes and four clawed fingers on each hand. He wore golden bracelets on both his wrists.
The lone female is a purple skinned lady pirate wearing a large pirate hat with a skull symbol, with purple hair. She wore a purple necklace with a gold pendant around her neck, gold earrings,a bikini top that looks like the upper half of a skull, deep purple pants lined with a white rim that looks like a jaw bone and a brown belt which holds a scimitar and a pistol.
"So, what's the purpose of giving him the emeralds when we could use them ourselves?" The turtle-like creature asked.
"It is to test out how he can handle the negative energy within the seven emeralds. Dr. Eggman has provided what he knows of them," the warlock said.
"But Bowser has a point, Ganondorf. The negative energy within the Chaos Emeralds could provide usefulness to our cause," the robot said.
"True, Sigma. But we are taking no chances. The danger could be that we could end up being corrupted by the negative energy," Ganondorf said.
"So, why not pawn it off of someone else, hm?" The old scientist asked.
"That could be it, Dr. Wily. We have some other things to worry about, like where King Dedede could be at," the crocodile king said.
"He could be anywhere by now," the lady pirate said. "I also sent my Tinkerbats to have some fun and they told me that they blew up a diner, leaving my mark."
"Don't pat yourself on the back, Risky. We're just getting started," the crocodile king said.
"King K. Rool is correct, Risky Boots. But, we mustn't be careless. For all we know, we could have enemies coming around," Ganondorf said. He turned to Dr. Wily. "Are your forces ready, Dr. Wily?"
"Oh yes! I have carefully chosen some of my Robot Masters to head into that world and cause a little discord in the masses," Dr. Wily said.
"Good. It shall be the perfect way to test out any possible enemies," Ganondorf said as he and the other villains all laugh evilly.
Meanwhile in a temple up in the sky, a woman with long green hair wearing light blue dress with yellow trim, with blue arm cuffs and yellow slippers, a blue crown decorated with red gems, a necklace, a staff in her right hand, and a large mirror shield in her left. She senses a great danger.
"What is this strange feeling? It can't be the work of the Underworld army. All the same, I'll have to send Pit to look into it," the woman said. "Pit! Oh Pit! Can you hear me?"
Elsewhere in the Sky Temple, a putto-like angel with large, blue eyes and fluffy, brown hair, with a small cowlick poking out from the back. He wore a chiton decorated red and gold hems along the bottom, which is fastened on the shoulder by a golden fibula with a red gem in the center. He wore his outfit with a brown belt lined with silver and a gold, triangular buckle on his waist. He also wore a pair of bronze and gold cuffs around his forearms, and singular gold rings on his upper left arm and right thigh. His brown sandals are decorated with crossing beige bands, and are edged at the top with white wool. It was indeed Pit. He hears the woman's voice.
"Loud and clear, Lady Palutena. What's the 411?" Pit asked.
"Pit, I need you to meet me in my chambers at once. There's something I need to discuss with you in private," Paultena said through telepathy.
"Yes ma'am. On my way," Pit said, heading for Palutena's chambers. When he arrived, he found Palutena sitting on her bed. "You summoned me, Lady Palutena?"
"Yes Pit. There is something I think you should know about," Palutena said.
"What is it? Is it Medusa? Is she launching another attack on the humans?!" Pit exclaimed.
"No, no, no, Pit. It's not Medusa, nor the Underworld army. It's something a whole lot more," Palutena said.
"What?" Pit asked.
"I have felt some sort of disturbance. I am not a hundred percent certain, but I can't shake off this feeling," Palutena said.
"Is it as bad as you think it is?" Pit asked.
"For all our sakes, I hope not. So, I'm sending you out into a different world to look into it," Palutena said.
"A different world? Tell me you're not serious about sending me out there! There could be who knows what out there!" Pit said.
"I know, but there's no other option. I'll have an audience with the other gods and goddesses to discuss this matter. I think we can prevent it from happening here, but I doubt it's going to be for long," Palutena said.
"But what will the army do while I'm gone?" Pit asked.
"I think they'll manage without you. Also, while you're out there, we won't be able to make contact with each other," Palutena said.
"Aw, that's not fair," Pit groaned.
"I know you're going to be fine out there, Pit. Just don't do anything stupid while you're out there," Palutena said.
"I'll try not to," Pit said.
"How soon will you be ready?" Palutena asked as Pit grabs his weapon which is a golden bow with blades at the end.
"At once, Lady Palutena," Pit said. He took his stance. "As the captain of Palutena's Guard, I cannot refuse your request!" Pit stated. Palutena smiled.
"Well now, then begin your mission," Paultena said, opening a portal of light. Pit steps forward, but Palutena speaks out to Pit one more time. "Oh, and Pit!" Palutena's captain stops to look at her.
"Yes, Lady Palutena?" Pit asked.
"Take care," Palutena simply said. Pit smiled and nodded.
"I will," Pit said, stepping forward. "I won't let you down!" The portal closes, leaving Palutena with confidence.
"I know you won't, Pit," Palutena said.
The portal opens and Pit enters through it. He steps out and sees what seems to by the sea.
"Wow, this looks like a good spot for a vacation. Maybe Lady Palutena would like to come here for a trip to the beach," Pit said. Just then, the creatures that blew up Dingodile's diner departed from the large pirate ship. "Arr, I spy some pirates. And they got some nasty plans for that town. They may not be with the Underworld army, but at least there some bad guys to beat." He readies his bow for battle.
The people of the town all dressed in Middle Eastern attire. They were all going about their day when the pirate creatures launched their attack.
"Oh no! The Tinkerbats!" One of the townspeople exclaimed. The people started to run for their lives when they started to destroy the town. Pit rushes into the scene and fired arrows of pure light.
"Eat this, you sea dogs!" Pit called out. He fired the arrows of light and struck the creatures on the mark. The Tinkerbats took out some scimitars and came at the angel. The bow is split into two swords and clashes blades. He overpowered some of them as more kept coming. "Man, don't these guys ever quit?"
"Hey! No fair ganging up on someone like that!" A new voice called out. Much to Pit's surprise, it sounded like a girl's voice. Pit and the Tinkerbats saw it is a tanned-skinned with blue eyes belly dancer with long purple hair that is tied in a long ponytail stem stalk. She wore a red bra, harem pants, and gold jewelry. She also wore red shoes. She also has pointy ears. "Don't tell me that you forgot all about me."
"Hey! Get out of here! This is dangerous!" Pit told the girl.
"Hey, this is my beef, kid!" The girl countered.
"Kid?! Don't call me a kid!" Pit countered back. The Tinkerbats set their attention on the belly dancer and she uses her hair as a whip. The Tinkerbats were batted off. A squad of Tinkerbats rushes behind her. Pit puts his blades back to make his bow. "Watch out!" Pit fires the arrow of light and struck the Tinkerbats. The belly dancer turns to see the Tinkerbats struck by the arrow.
"Whoa! An arrow of light! So awesome!" The belly dancer said with her eyes sparkling. "Where did you get that thing?"
"Tell you about it later. Right now, let's get rid of these guys," Pit said.
"Right. I'm Shantae, by the way. You?" Shantae asked.
"Pit, captain of the Guard of the Goddess of Light, Palutena," Pit introduced himself. Shantae and Pit made quick work of the Tinkerbats and they were forced into a retreat. "Come on back if you wanna walk the plank!" He looked at Shantae. "That was pretty nice fighting, Shantae."
"Same to you, Pit. You could give Risky Boots a run for her money with that weapon," Shantae said.
"Thanks," Pit said. He had no idea who Risky Boots is, but he disliked her already.
Just then, three more people shows up. One is a tanned-skinned girl with blonde in a held back by a blue headwrap, and a purple hood. She wears pink and blue earrings in the shape of eggs. She wore a blue and pink girdle, with the breast covering having the same design as her earrings. She also wore a pair of white khaki pants and brown boots. She has a cape attached to her hood. On her shoulder is a wren/finch crossbreed as it would appear to be. It matched the owner's clothing.
With her is a dark-skinned boy with navy blue hair, a yellow headband, and is wearing a determined expression. A white bandage is wrapped around his right upper arm. He wore a white tank top underneath a short blue vest and has dark blue shorts. He also wears tan gloves with metal rings around the cuffs.
Finally is a girl with green skin choppy, dark green hair, and red eyes. She has stitches on her left arm and right leg. She has a curvy yetslim figureand wore a short purple tank top, a yellow headband, skull earrings, a matching skull buckle on her brown belt, navy blue jean shorts, a black choker around her neck, purple socks andbrown boots.
"Shantae!" The girl with blonde hair called out.
"We came to kick some booty!" The green-skinned girl said.
"So, where are they?" The boy asked.
"Gone," Shantae said.
"What? Already? Shoot!" The boy exclaimed.
"Ease up, Block-head! You'll have your chance to be a hero; in about a zillion years," the blonde laughed.
"Hey! The name's Bolo, not Block-head!" Bolo barked at her.
"Sure it is," the green-skinned girl taunted.
"Don't tell me you're on her side, Rottytops!" Bolo yelled.
"Not Sky's side, just wanted to taunt you," Rottytops said. She saw Pit with Shantae. "So, who's this?"
"Right, getting to it," Shantae said.
"The name's Pit. I am the captain of the Goddess of Light, Palutena," Pit saluted. Sky, Bolo, and Rotty started snickering.
"Pit? What kind of name is Pit?" Sky laughed.
"Hey! It's a very good name!" Pit exclaimed with his cheeks puffing up.
"Who name's their kids Pit?" Sky taunted.
"Who names their kids Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops?" Pit taunted back. Shantae laughed at this. They stopped laughing and glared at angel. "Look, I'm on a very important mission." Shantae stopped laughing.
"Important mission?" Shantae asked.
"What do you mean?" Bolo asked.
"Okay, there's something going on in the worlds, so I was sent by Lady Palutena to look into the matter and put a stop to it. I don't know what it is exactly, but it affects you too," Pit said. Sky turned to Shantae.
"What do you think, Shantae?" Sky asked. Shantae thought for a moment.
"We should have a talk to Uncle Mimic about this. He might know something about it," Shantae said.
"I hope so, Shantae. I think we might be in more trouble than we think," Pit said. Shantae, Sky, Bolo, and Rotty Tops led Pit through town to let her uncle know about the danger at hand.
Back in the Hoenn region, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth continued on their way to Serrosey City while Team Chaotix were still following them. They ventured through a wasteland filled with nothing but sand on every corner.
"Are you sure this is the way to Serrosey City?" Meowth asked. He was sweating like crazy.
"To be honest, no. But we have to make it through here, don't we?" Sora asked.
"I hope so, because I could use a nice bath once we get there," Kairi said.
"Me too," Meowth said. He imagined himself in a bubble bath, feeling blissful. He opened his eyes and saw a swimming pool in front of him. "What's that? Could that be what I think it is?" Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel saw nothing.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"A swimming pool! Don'cha see it?!" Meowth said. He ran forward to jump in. "Whoo! Last one in is a rotten Exeggcute!" He jumped into the pool. What Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel saw was Meowth jumping into some sand and swimming in it. "Come on in! The water's fine!"
"Meowth, you're not swimming water! You're swimming in sand!" Sora called out to Meowth. Meowth just ignored him as he swam in the imaginary pool and saw a green floatie. floating by.
"Ooh, a floatie! I'm gonna have so much fun on that!" Meowth said. In reality, it was actually a Cacnea, much bigger than James's Cacnea sleeping peacefully. Meowth was about to jump right on it, making the couples wince.
"MEOWTH! NO!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed. Too late. Meowth jumped on the sleeping Cacnea, waking it up. Angered that its nap was disturbed, Cacnea swings its arm at the scratch cat Pokémon.
"Ouch! I didn't know a floatie could pack a punch," Meowth said. He snapped back to his senses when Cacnea came at Meowth in a fowl mood. "Why does that Cacnea look so pissed off?"
"That's you jumped on him while he was sleeping," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said. Meowth realized it was a mirage as Cacnea comes closer to Meowth. He grins nervously.
"S-S-Sorry about that, buddy, didn't mean to bother you, just thought you were a floatie in a pool. Huge mistake, so I'll let ya get back to your nap now," Meowth said.
"Cacnea," Cacnea said really angry. "Nea, Cac, Cac, Cacnea."
"What did Cacnea just say to you, Meowth?" Sora asked.
"Cacnea just said that I'm going to be really sorry once he's done turning me into a walking pin cushion," Meowth translated. Cacnea swings at Meowth with Needle Arm and then fired Pin Missle, making Meowth run for it. Sora had to help Meowth out. He took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go right in, Loudred!" Sora called out as Loudred comes out to battle the cactus Pokémon. "Use Mega Punch!" Loudred lands a Mega Punch onto Cacnea and he strikes back with Needle Arm. Cacnea then fires Bullet Seed, pelting Loudred. "Loudred! Use Uproar!" Loudred started to go berserk, creating all sorts of soundwaves. Cacnea was overwhelmed by Loudred's Uproar. Once Cacnea was weakened enough, Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Cacnea flows inside the Pokéball and it wobbles around and around for a moment before stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokédex starts buzzing asking him if he wants to keep Cacnea with him. He chose to send Cacnea over to Professor Oak's lab. He looked over to Meowth. "You alright, Meowth?"
"If you hadn't saved me, that Cacnea would have filled me with more holes than Swiss cheese," Meowth panted. "Thanks."
"Anytime, Meowth. Now let's get going before another mirage gets a hold of us," Sora said. With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth continued on their way. Team Chaotix took notes on Sora catching a wild Pokémon.
"Hm, that was a wild one, so he caught it using the same ball used in the contest," Vector deduced.
"You think that's how they hold them?" Charmy asked.
"I don't think it, I know it. Now, let's keep going before they go too far," Vector said. Team Chaotix continued to follow them to Serrosey City.
Not to far, a huge truck with a huge cage on the rear is driving through the wasteland. A poacher wearing a huge stetson hat and a black vest with no shirt underneath is driving it. Sitting in the seat next to him is a Mightyena.
"The rumored underground lake is around here someheres. And that's when I'll get hold of those Vibrava and sell them to the highest bidder," the poacher said.
Back to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth ventured through the wasteland to discover a series of holes all around.
"What's with all these holes?" Meowth asked.
"Not sure, but there's sure a lot of them," Kairi said.
"Let's be careful not to fall into one," Sora said as he was about to fall in with his arms swinging around. Kairi rushed to her boyfriend and pulled him to safety. "Oh, that was close."
"You should have taken your own advice, Sora," Kairi said, making Sora chuckle nervously.
"Yeah, but what caused these holes in the first place?" Sora asked as a Trapinch poked its head out of the bottom of the hole.
"Pika?!" Pikachu yelped.
"Vee!" Angel said.
"What the heck is that?" Meowth asked.
"It's a Trapinch," Sora said.
"Should have realized those Trapinch had something to do with those holes," Kairi said. They turned their heads when they heard sirens coming from behind them. They saw a single woman driving in a jeep.
"Yikes! The fuzz!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Calm down, Meowth, it's just a ranger," Sora said. She steps out of the jeep.
"You must leave here at once. This is a dangerous place and you are trespassing," the female ranger said.
"We're sorry, we didn't know it was an off-limit area. We were just passing through here," Sora said.
"But we do see why it is, because of these holes," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It's more dangrous than you think. Underneath these Trapinch holes lies a giant cavern known as the Trapinch Underground Labyrinch," the ranger said. "And believe me, you DO NOT wanna end up falling down there. We worked for years mapping the labyrinth, but since the Trapinch continue to dig, it's impossible to stay up to date with it."
"And no wonder," Sora said.
"Yes, that's right. If you come with me, I'll take you to safety," the ranger offered.
"Better that than having to risk falling in," Meowth said.
"You've said a mouthful," Kairi said.
They boarded the jeep and she drove them through the wasteland. Team Chaotix were still tailing them, but quickly fell behind.
"Okay, this isn't as easy as I thought," Vector said.
"Maybe I can catch up to them whole lot faster since I'm the only one who can fly," Charmy said. Vecotr and Espio both looked at each other and nodded.
"Okay, but don't be seen by anyone!" Vector said. Charmy took flight and headed towards the direction the jeep had taken off.
Over to the jeep, the ranger introduced herself as Elisa. Sora, and Kairi were expolaining that they were just on their way to Serrosy City to catch a boat to the next island on the way over to Sootopolis City.
"And that's it," Sora concluded.
"So, that's it. It's a good thing I came around then," Elisa said. They all looked around and saw loads of wild Pokémon.
"There are wild Pokémon everywhere you look," Meowth said.
"And my job is making sure those Pokémon are safe and sound," Elisa said.
"HELP!" A new voice called out. The voice came fro a young man, with brown hair and blue eyes. He wore a white lab coat, black shoes, a dark green shirt and light tan pants. He was being chased by an angry Donphan. "Help, somebody, please help me, please!"
"Look out!" Sora exclaimed.
"He needs help!" Kairi said, making Elisa sigh.
"Again?" Elisa said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth all tilted their heads.
"Again?" Sora, Kairi, and Meowth asked.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked.
"Vee?" Angel asked.
"Thank goodness you're here to save me, Elisa!" The young man exclaimed. Elisa makes a stop.
"Hold on," Elisa said, taking out her Pokéball. "Meganium! Coe on out!" She threw it and her Meganium comes out from its Pokéball. "Meganium! Calm that Donphan down with Sweet Scent!" Meganium unleashes Sweet Scent and it happens to calm dow and walked away.
"Don't know what got that Donphan so worked up, but at least he calmed down," Meowth said.
"Great as always, Meganium. Now, return," Elisa said, calling her Meganium back. The young man walked up to Elisa.
"Well, that was a close one. Sorry to put you through that again, Elisa," the young man apologized.
"Hey, glad to help. It's my job, after all," Elisa said. The couple and the Pokémon got out of the jeep and walked up to them.
"So, we take it that you know each other?" Kairi asked.
"Yes, this is Hal. We've known each other since we were kids. He's an Izabe Academy Pokémon researcher," Elisa introduced.
Hi there," Hal greeted.
"Hi there," Sora, Kairi,and Meowth greeted back.
"So how'd you get into trouble this time around, Hal?" Elisa asked.
"Oh, I was looking for something. And there it is," Hal said. THey saw a Trapinch with a tracker strapped to its back and a red light blinks.
"It's just a Trapinch," Elisa said, unimpressed.
"And he's has something on his back," Kairi said.
"Yes, it's a transmitter," Hal said. "See, I was trying to find this Trapinch That's when that Donphan got a little annoyed."
"A little? And just how many times does this make?" Elisa asked.
"To tell the truth, I lost count," Hal said, almost chuckling.
Not too far, a dimensional rift opens and three figures comes out of it. Both appear to be large and robotic.
"Is this the place Dr. Wily wanted us to be in?" One of the robots asked.
"These are the exact cordinents, so he have to be in the right place," the second robot said.
"Then, let's get going," the third robot said. They set off to cause some sort of trouble. One robot is purple and has missles on both his arms, shoulders, and forehead. He has tank wheels on his feet. The other is a large green robot that looks like a tank. He has rocket launcers on both hands. The third one is a dark blue robot that appears to be obese and has yellow jewel on his chest and has red arrows pointing down on his forehead and chest. "There should be a town near by, isn't there?"
"Yes. So, let's go to the mountains and cause some trouble while we're there," the green robot said.
"I'm with Commando Man, Hard Man. There should be a perfect place for some target practice," the purple robot said.
"I like how you think, Napalm Man. Let's head there, fast!" Hard Man said.
The three robots started to make their way to the closest town next to some mountains.
"So, what's with the transmitter attached to Trapinch's back, anyway?" Meowth asked.
"Because I'm searching for a lake in the Trapinch Underground Labyrinth," Hal explained.
"A lake?" Sora asked.
"You mean, there's a lake underneath all this?" Kairi asked.
"Would you gie it up? Is this still that dream of yours?" Elisa asked.
"Hey, it wasn't just a dream! I happen to know that I saw one!" Hal defended.
"Maybe you should start from the beginning about this lake," Kairi suggested.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Well, okay. You see, back when I was a little kid I actually fell into a Trapinch Underground Labyrinth one time. My parents warned me to stay away 'cause it was dangerous but I couldn't help it. I had to see those Trapinch burrows up close. I guess I must have passed out but then, when I woke up..." He paused. "There, right in front of me was this huge beautiful lake. And I witnessed something amazing. I saw a whole bunch of Trapinch evolve into Vibrava right at the same time. Needless to say, I was awestruck, seeing them evolve all at once, I hadn't the slightest idea on how to get out of there. All of a sudden, I found myself back outside of the labyrinth.
"So, all those Vibrava helped out of the labyrinth, right?" Sora asked.
"Of course, and that's what I keep trying to tell everyone. But for some reason no one believes me," Hal said.
"No one in their right mind anyway, it's a ridiculous story," Elisa said.
"Come on! There was a time when you believed it too, Elisa!" Hal said to her.
"Oh yeah, you're right, how old was I then, five?" Elisa teased.
"And that's the reason you decided to become a Pokémon researcher, right?" Sora asked.
"Yes it is," Hal answered. Meowth was first to notice that Trapinch was gone.
"Hey, don't look now, but your Trapinch is gone," Meowth said. Everyone all looked around and notices Trapinch is gone.
"Hey, you're right," Hal said.
"Trapinch is pretty slow. He couldn't have gone far," Sora said. They all looked around and Pikachu spotted him.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. Everyone turned to see the Trapinch move in the hole and towards the bottom. They then heard the sound of an engine. "Do you hear that?"
"Unfortunately, yes," Sora said. The group followed the source of the sound. Charmy had finally caught up with them and laughed.
"Found them! But where are they going?" Charmy asked. The group saw a large truck with the poacher and his Mightyena stepping out.
"Time to go to work, Mightyena!" The poacher said. Mightyena barked and went down to the hole to flush out the Trapinch.
"Is that what I think it is?" Sora asked.
"Definitely a poacher. He won't get away with this!" Elisa said. She turned to everyone. "Stay here." She approaches the poacher from behind. "You there!" The poacher turned to face her. "You are trespassing in a restricted area! You are ordered to surrender immediately!"
"Not if I have anything to say about it," the poacher said, taking out a Pokéball. He tosses it. "Teach her some manners, Metagross!" His Metagross comes out to battle. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.

Metagross has four brains in total. Combined, the four brains can breeze through difficult calculations faster than a supercomputer. This Pokémon can float in the air by tucking in its four legs.
"Metang's evolved form. This is gonna be tough," Sora said. Elisa wasn't intimidated. She took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Meganium! Go!" Elisa called out. Her Meganium came out, ready to battle the iron leg Pokémon. "Meganium! Use Vine Whip!" Meganium unleashes its vines to smack at Metagross.
"Metagross! Block with your Psychic!" The poahcer ordered. Metagross uses its psychic powers to block Meganium's Vine Whip and send it back at it. "Now use Hyper Beam!" Metagross prepares to fires Hyper Beam to strike at Meganium. Kairi wasn't gonna stand by. She took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Castform!" Kairi called out as her Castform comes on out. "Use Sunny Day and follow with Weater Ball!" Castform makes a loud cry as the sunlight turns even brighter and transforms into its Sunny Form. Castform fires a fireball and it struck Metagross on the spot. Metagross took such heavy damage due to its weakness to fire. The poacher growls in anger.
"You meddlesome brat!" The poacher hissed.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Full power!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires a powerful Thunderbolt and it struck the iron leg Pokémon hard. Metagross had been taken down just like that.
"Not my Metagross!" The poacher yelled. Just then, his Mightyena comes out of the hole yelping as the Trapinch had given it a bite for disturbing their labyrinth. Elisa took out her rope and hog tied him.
"You're not going anywhere!" Elisa stated. The poacher tried to make a break for it by heading for the hole. Elisa attempted to stop him, only to end up falling in. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Hal rushed to pull her out, only to end up being dragged in as well. Castform follows them inside. Charmy wanted to help them, but he couldn't risk being seen and he couldn't carry them all out. Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth he could carry out without any problem, but it was too late.
"Better get Vector and Espio!" Charmy said, buzzing to inform his friends and coworkers.
They fell through diffrent parts of the labyrinth. Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth fell in one path as the poacher fell in another. Sora, Kairi, and Elisa fell in another path as did the poacher. Hal fell in a different one as well.
"Is everyone all right?" Elisa asked.
"I think I'm in one piece. How about you, Kairi?" Sora asked his girlfriend.
"I'm okay, Sora," Kairi said, standing up. She looks around and she doesn't see any of the Pokémon with them. Or Hal for that matter. "Wait a minute! Where are Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth? And where's Hal?"
"You're right. And I don't see that poacher anywhere either," Sora said.
"If they are here with us, then they could be lost down here with us," Elisa said.
"We should find them before something bad happens," Kairi suggested.
"Good idea, Kairi. Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Hal have got to be around here somewhere," Sora said. Just then, the Trapinch with the transmitter comes waltzing in. "Hey there, little guy. You gonna lead us the way out?"
"Trappinch, Trap," Trapinch said.
"Man, it'll be easier to understand if Meowth was with us," Sora said.
Over in a different part of the labyrinth, Hal took out his tracker.
"I have a feeling the Trapinch with the tracker will lead me to the lake, I'm sure of it. I just have to follow the signal," Hal said, starting to follow it.
Back above ground, Charmy found the rest of Team Chaotix and flew right towards them.
"Guys! I found you!" Charmy called out.
"You were supposed to keep track of the kids!" Vector chided the bee.
"I found them, but then, they fell in some kind of hole!" Charmy said. The crocodile and chameleon just looked at each other with a dumbfounded look on each of their faces.
"What do you mean?" Espio asked.
"I'll explain on the way!" Charmy said as he lead them.
Back underground, Sora, Kairi, and Elisa follows the Trapinch through the tunnel. Castform manages to get lost as well. It looked for its friends. Castform manages to find Meowth.
"Hey! Castform! Am I glad to see ya! You came looking for me!" Meowth said happily.
"Where are Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel?" - Castform subtitle.
"No idea. Pikachu, Angel, and I got seperated from each other the further we went," Meowth said.
"We better find them before something bad happens to them." - Castform subtitle.
"Yeah, and I know I don't wanna be down here longer than I want to," Meowth said. The two Pokémon spotted a lone Trapinch in the labyrinth with them. "A Trapinch! Maybe she knows a way out."
"It's worth a shot." - Castform subtitle. Meowth and Castform went over to the ant pit Pokémon to ask for directions.
"Excuse us. You wouldn't happen to know the way out of this little maze, would ya?" Meowth asked.
"I'm just heading for the underground lake to evolve into a Vibrava, if you don't mind." - Trapinch subtitle.
"Oh, ya heading there?" Meowth asked. "Guess we better follow. Maybe, Pikachu, Angel, Sora, and Kairi are there too."
Over to the poacher, he manages to take out a hunting knife and used it to cut his restraints. He carries on to his nab as many as he can get a hold of.
The Trapinch with the transmitter manages to come across another Trapinch as Meowth and Castform follows. Sora, Kairi, and Elisa follows the one with the transmitter when they found each other.
"Meowth!" Sora said.
"Castform!" Kairi said.
"Sora! Kairi! We found you!" Meowth said happily.
"Where are Pikachu and Angel? We thought they were with you," Sora said.
"They were, but now we an't find them," Meowth said. The two Trapinch hears the sound of rushing water and start using their jaws to dig their way through the tunnel.
"What's with them?" Sora asked.
"Shh, be quiet, I hear something," Elisa said. Sora, Kairi, and Meowth all look at her. The water comes gushing down. They all started to run as the water was catching up. "That water must be the rain water that flows in here right after a storm!"
"Those Trapinch ust have known it was coming and had the common sense to get out of here quickly!" Meowth exclaimed.
"That's all interesting, Meowth, but I think we should talk about that later!" Sora exclaimed. The water washes them down to the end of the tunnel and lands right into a body of water.
"Everyone still in one piece?" Elisa asked.
Yeah," Sora, Kairi, and Meowth said.
"Where did we end up?" Sora asked, looking around. They were all awestruck when they saw the place Hal was telling them about. It was indeed the lake he told them about. "This has got to be it."
"It has to be a beautiful lake," Kairi said.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu called out.
"Eevee!" Angel also called out. Sora, Kairi, Meowth, and Elisa all turned to see the Pokémon couple by the lake's shore calling out to them.
"Pikachu!" Sora called out.
"Angel!" Kairi called out.
They swam up to the shore and affetionatley hugged their Pokémon.
"Knew you'd be okay," Sora said.
"We're just happy to see you safe," Kairi said.
Pikachu and Eevee affectionatley nuzzles their trainers. Meowth spots the Trapinch with the transmitter and the one he and Castform had been following.
"Look! It's those two Trapinch!" Meowth said. Hal follows the Trapinch inside.
"Okay, just a little bit farther now," Hal said. He takes his eyes off the tracking device to witness the lake with his own eyes. "Could it be? It is! It's the lake, at last! I knew I'd find it someday!"
"Hey Hal!" Elisa called out, catching his attention. "So it looks like all of us ended up safe and sound." Hals' face lit up when he saw her.
"Elisa, thank goodness!" Hal said going up to her. "See, I'm not so crazy, after all," Hal said.
"Guess not, so this is the underground lake you were talking about all this time," Elisa said.
"You got it, 'course there's nothing like seeing it first hand," Hal said.
"I feel like a fool, Hal. All these years you've been talking about this lake and I gave you such a hard time," Elisa said with regret.
"But you really did believe me, didn't you?" Hal asked. Elisa was confused. "Way down deep inside, I always felt like you knew I was telling the truth." Elisa knew he was right. She really did believe him, but she refused to admit it.
"Uh, yeah, I guess I did," Elisa finally admitted it while blushing.
"Hal! Look!" Sora said. Hal and Elisa looked at him. Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth were all witnessing the Trapinch gathering around.
"Look at all those Trapinch," Meowth said.
"You think this is the place where they all evolve?" Sora asked.
"Yes, I know it!" Hal said. All of the Trapinch started to evolve all at once. The newly evolved Vibrava started to buzz as they started to take flight.
"Whoa," everyone said.
"Chu," Pikachu said awestruck.
"Vee," Eevee added. Meowth blinked twice when he realized something.
"Hey, how are gonna get out of here?" Meowth asked. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Hal, and Elisa realized how right he was.
"He's right. Even Meganium's Vine Whip could reach the surface, she's never going to be able to carry all of us out all at once," Elisa pointed out. Sora thought of something for a moment and figured the way Hal to get out had to be the Vibrava carrying him out.
"I think I have an idea!" Sora said. They all looked at him.
Over to the poacher, he wonders around the labyrinth, ending up more lost than before.
"Dammit! How the hell am I gonna get out of here?" The poacher groaned. With one step, he slips and started to slide through the tunnel. He managed to find his own way out by falling into a river. He struggled to get out of the raging water, but the current was too strong.
Over to Team Chaotix, Charmy manages to fill the crocodile and chameleon on what he saw.
"And that's about it!" Charmy concluded. Team Chaotix stopped and saw the tracks.
"They went this way," Vector said. His teammates follows their leader. He examined the area, starting with the truck along with the tracks leading to the hole. "Hm."
"What do you make of this, Vector?" Espio asked.
"Juding by the look of this vehicle, it's obviously the kind a poacher would drive because of the huge cage in the back. Also, there seems to be a struggle that went down here, resulting in the kids, their pets and whomever they were with to fall in," Vector deduced.
"You mean they went down there?" Espio asked.
"That's exactly what happened, so that's why I went to get you," Charmy said.
"We should head down as well," Espio suggested. Just before the ninja chameleon could go further, Vector stopped him.
"Hold on there, Espio! We can't just rush in! We don't know what could be down there!" Vector said.
"What do you suggest?" Espio asked. Vector thought for a mament when he saw something up in the sky right in the distance.
"See what that is about, for one thing," Vector said, pointing his finger to what he was seeing. Team Chaotix ran towards what they were all looking at. It was actually Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Hal, and Elisa, getting a ride from the Vibrava.
"Gotta hand it to ya, Sora, this was such a fun idea," Meowth said.
"I try," Sora said with modesty. The Vibrava landed and dropped them off. "Thanks for the lift, guys!" The Vibrava fly off.
Over in Scuttle Town, Shantae and her friends led Pit to the home of her uncle Mimic. He is an elderly man with a huge beard, wearing yellow goggles. He wore a green jacket over a brown shirt, a gray belt with a gold belt buckle, blue jeans, and black boots. Pit filled him in on the crisis Palutena detected and she sent him to look into it, and then met Shantae when the Tinkerbats attacked. In the meantime, Shantae explained to the angel that she is a half genie from her mother's side and human from her father's side.
"And that's about it," Pit said.
"You don't really believe that, do you?" Sky asked.
"After everything that we have been through, magic wise, I would say just about anything is possible. And this gives me an opportunity to test it," Mimic said, leading them to his latest invention. It looked like some sort of gate.
"What's this contraption?" Bolo asked.
"This is what I have been working on. I have been experimenting with this for quite some time. It will serve as a gateway into different worlds," Mimic said.
"You mean, other worlds other than than the human realm and the genie realm?" Shantae asked, getting excited. Mimic nodded. "So awesome! How does it work?!"
"Now, now, hold your horses, Shantae. We just need to activate it just by using your genie magic," Mimic said.
"You mean it runs on magic?" Rottytops asked.
"Genie magic, yes. But, I'm not sure if it's going to work, because I haven't gotten around to testing it. With this on our laps, this is more than perfect," Mimic said.
"Not sure if it's such a good idea. What if something goes wrong? There might be another attack while we're gone. For all we know, Risky Boots could move right in and take over when she learns we're not here," Sky said. Shantae turned to her friends.
"What? You're coming along?" Shantae asked surprised.
"Well, someone has to keep an eye on you, just to keep you from doing something reckless," Sky said.
"And if there are other worlds out there, I wonder what graveyards are there," Rottytops said.
"Also, what the girls there could be like," Bolo said, interested.
"Typical of you to be interested in the girls, Bolo," Sky rolled her eyes.
"We're gonna have to risk it. We can't afford to wait!" Pit said.
"He's right. This coould be a fun experience for us," Shantae said. Mimic got everything set up for the dimensional door to open.
"Alright, Shantae. We're ready when you are. But are you sure you want to do this?" Mimic asked.
"Ready as ever, Uncle Mimic. Let's do this!" Shantae said. Mimic wasn't sure if he should do this, but he had to go along with it. He nodded and gave her the word. Shantae began to use her belly dancing, letting out some genie magic. Pit was impressed by the amount of magic she was letting out. Once Shantae had finished, the dimensional door activates and it glows. "Yay! It worked!"
"Let's go!" Pit said. He went in first as Shantae followed inside. Bolo and Rottytops followed them in, leaving Sky and her pet bird, Wrench, last to follow. She turned to Mimic real quick.
"Be sure to keep an eye on things while we're gone," Sky said.
"I will. Take care," Mimic said. Sky and Wrench goes through. The dimensional door closes as Mimic sighs. "I hope that girl doesn't do anything reckless."
Pit, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops enters through to find that they're on a beach in front of a jungle.
"We made it!" Shantae said.
"It looks like home, but it doesn't feel like it," Bolo said.
""We should have a look around to see what's here," Sky said.
"Oh, I was gonna suggest that," Rottytops said in a teasing tone. Sky and the zombie girl started to argue.
Not too far, a brown wooden mask with yellow, pupil-less eyes with green eyebags, red rectangular eyebrows, red lips, a green goatee at the bottom of his mask formed out of leaves, and a pointy orange nose floats as it senses something.
"Strange. An unfamiliar scent. What could it be?" The mask asked. He levitated to two anthromorphic bandicoots, one being male, and one being female. The male is sleeping soundly, wearing blue jeans, a pair of red sneakers, and fingerless gloves. He has a black nose, and reddish-brown hair styled in a mohawk. The female has blonde hair tied in a pontytail and green eyes. She wore a white shirt, blue overalls with her right button undone and a heart stiched on her left legging, and a pink wristband on her left hand, a pair of goggles, a pink belt, and a pair of pink sneakers. "Crash! Coco!" The male bandicoot wakes up to reveal he has green eyes. "I have just sensed an unfamiliar force somewhere on the island! I fear it could be gravely dangerous for us all!"
"What do you mean, Aku Aku?" Coco asked.
"I don't know, Coco, but if we leave it unchecked, it could be disastrous. Quickly! We must go!" Aku Aku said. Crash just goes back to sleep, making Aku Aku groan.
"Let me handle this," Coco said. She puts her finger in her mouth and sticks it in his ear. "WET WILLY!" That got Crash up. "Not that you're up and about, big brother, we could use your help!" Crash nodded and got up. The bandicoots and the floating mask ventured through the jungle to find the source of the disturbance.
Back in Hoenn, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth prepared to depart.
"If you keep going through these woods, you'll get to town in no time," Elisa said.
"Thanks a lot," Sora said.
"And it's good for you that you found the lake again," Kairi said.
"But I decided to let it remain my little secret," Hal stated. This surprises Elisa and Meowth.
"But why? You finding that lake was your dream come true, Hal," Elisa said.
"I know, but I think it's much better to let the Trapinch evolve there in peace. Also, all I wanted to do was find the lake for you," hal admitted, blushing Elisa blushes as well.
"You did? Well, it means a lot," Elisa said. Sora and Kairi smiled as they could feel the love in the air. Pikachu and Angel had sensed it as well.
Having to witness a group evolution of Trapinch in a single day, Sora and Kairi has once again come face-to-face in the wonderous world of Pokémon. But what kind of discord does the Robot Masters, Hard Man, Napalm Man, and Commando Man have in store?
