Episode 266: Absol-lute Disaster
After a night's worth of sleep, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth were getting close to Serrosey City to catch a boat to the next island.
"The next town should be up ahead," Sora said.
"Good, I can hardly wait to relax," Meowth said.
"Me too," Kairi said. Just then, Pikachu and Angel went on ahead on the bridge. Sora looked over to the water. Kairi had noticed.
"What's wrong, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"Doesn't that water look like it's flowing faster than normal?" Sora asked. Just then, the bridge is destroyed in the raging water. Angel almost fell in and Pikachu caught her.
"Angel!" Kairi gasped.
"Hold on to her, Pikachu!" Sora called out. Pikachu held onto Angel's paw she held his.
"Hold on no matter what, Angel!" - Pikachu subtitle.
"I'm trying to!" - Angel subtitle.
Just when the Pokémon couple were about to fall in, something pushes them up and they run to their trainers before they could go help them.
"Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Angel!" Kairi cried, embracing her Eevee. "Thank goodness."
"Glad you're both safe," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu, Pika, Pikachu, Chu, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Pikachu is saying something just pushed them both up," Meowth translated. Meowth looked and saw something on a rock in the middle of the river. He winced. "Look at that!" Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel all turned to see an Absol on the rock.
"An Absol," Sora and Kairi said.
"Keep him away!" Meowth said, shivering.
"What are you afraid of, Meowth? It's just an Absol," Sora said.
"I know that! Absol are said to be disaster Pokémon! Everywhere they go, they bring nothing but trouble!" Meowth said.
"Is that what you heard? Absol aren't as bad people think," Kairi said.
"How can you certain? The bridge is totalled and that furball is standing there. Absol are nothing but trouble!" Meowth said.
"Absol, Sol, Absol," Absol said.
"Oh, sure you didn't!" Meowth countered.
"What did he say?" Kairi asked.
"He just said he didn't cause the bridge to collapse," Meowth translated.
"He had to save Pikachu and Angel, so how bad can he be?" Sora asked.
"Believe me, an Absol is the one Pokémon you don't want anything to do with!" Meowth reasoned.
"There it is! Capture it!" An elderly voice called out. Two villagers came running, armed with sticks.
"You rotten Absol!" The younger villager hissed.
"That's another bridge you destroyed!" The elderly villager said. Absol stared at them and jumped off the rock he was standing on. Sora and Kairi weren't sure why they were gonna attack Absol. "The bridge wasn't enough?!"
"Now you want to fight?" The younger villager asked. Absol lept up to the mountain above them. Sora and Kairi looked at the bridge and wondered if Meowth could be right about Absol being responsible for destroying the bridge or there's something more going on than they know.
Up in the mountain, Napalm Man and Commando Man fired their bombs, causing a few rock slides in the mountain, scaring off the Pokémon living there.
"Good idea on coming here for target practice, Commando Man! It's like shooting robot fish in a barrel," Napalm Man said.
"Dr. Wily wants us to be ready when we take on Mega Man again," Commando Man said.
"Hey! Where's Hard Man?" Napalm asked.
"He had to cover our trail with a distraction for the locals," Commando Man answered.
"Nice," Napalm Man said. He let fired one of his missles. "Napalm Bomb!" Commando Man fires a missle as well.
"Commando Bomb!" Commando Man shouted as he fired his weapon. Both bombs explodes when they make contact with a huge boulder causing another rock slide.
The elder led Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth to his house to discuss the matters circling around Absol.
"You mean the Absol are the cause of the disasters going around Riyado Town?" Sora asked.
"Yes. We never had a problem with them until they began showing up frequently a month ago. That Absol destroyed three bridges whenever it shows up! Three!" The elder states.
"And it's not only that! Just yesterday we started having rock slides! And it's because of those monsters!" The younger villager exclaimed. Kairi was appalled to hear someone think of a Pokémon as nothing but a monster.
"You don't have any evidence that supports it?" Kairi asked. This agitated the two villagers.
"Who needs evidence when we've got the facts! Absol has been known as the herald of disaster and ruin!" The elder argued.
"See? Even they think so!" Meowth said.
"Don't start, Meowth!" Sora said.
"What do you mean don't start! I'm just stating a fact!" Meowth argued.
"I said don't start, Meowth!" Sora told the scratch cat Pokémon. "Just how do you plan on dealing with the Absol?" The two villagers grinned.
"Oh, we already thought of a solution," the younger villager said.
"We hired an expert Absol hunter to take care of the problem," the elder said. He points to a large obese man, wearing a hunter's gear. Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth could tell something was off about him. "What did you say your name was again?" The large man stood up, almost making the ground shake.
"Hardman. Mr. Hardman is my name," Mr. Hardman replied. "A pleasure to meet you."
"This guy is telling me not to trust this guy."
- Pikachu subtitle.
"I'm feeling it too, Pikachu. This person doesn't smell right. I can't put my paw on it." - Angel subtitle.
"I'm not even sure if he is even a person at all. And no Pokémon I know gives off a smell like he does; especially not a Steel Type Pokémon." - Pikachu subtitle.
Meowth didn't say anything, but he looked at the large man with suspicions and distrust. Even though Meowth wasn't a crook anymore, but he knew a crooked crook when he saw one. A plate of food was right in his reach and he didn't show in any interest in it. It wasn't unusual for fat people to avoid a salad, but he wasn't eating the steak, bread, or anything. He wasn't even drinking any water. Meowth didn't even think he was human.
Mr. Hardman came right over right away when the request for an expert Absol hunter was made in just a couple of minutes," the elder said. Meowth was now even more suspicious when someone just happen to come over right away and he knew for certain nobody was that quick to respond. Sora leans to his girlfriend.
"Kairi, I know you heard of Pokémon hunters, but an Absol hunter?" Sora whispered.
"I know what you mean, Sora. But he does look like he can the job done," Kairi whispered back.
"And how does he plan to stop Absol, anyway? Sitting on him?" Sora joked as he whispered.
"Sora, don't be so shallow," Kairi scolded her boyfriend.
"Something off about this joker. He's fatter than a Snorlax, but he ain't touching his grub. Something's fishy here," Meowth said in his thoughts.
"Say, Mr. Hardman, wouldn't it be okay if we join you in your little hunt?" Sora asked. Mr. Hardman looked at him for a moment and quickly responded.
"Uh, no, no, no! It's clearly too dangerous for the likes of you," Mr. Hardman replied.
"Oh, we won't be in the way. We have our hands in these sort of things," Sora said. "My girlfriend and I are Pokémon trainers, so we can able to handle an Absol." Kairi leaned over to Sora.
"What are you doing, Sora?" Kairi asked.
"Just to see if this guy is for real," Sora said.
The whole village came out to give thanks to Mr. Hardman for his dedication of ridding them of their troubles once and for all. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu,
"Thank you for coming to our need, Mr. Hardman! We don't know how we can ever thank you!" The elder said.
"No thanks needed, my good hu- I mean, my good man. Just the thought of doing something to help out you good people is reward enough for me," Mr. Hardman said. "And the thought of a foul beast causing such destruction is unthinkable and unforgivable."
"Absol is not a foul beast!" A boy's voice yelled. A boy with green hair and blue eyes came running out. He wore an orange shirt with black short sleeves, gray shorts, and red shoes. His green hair is tied in a ponytail. "Absol would never do something like this!"
"Nicky, you should show Mr. Hardman some respect!" The elder scolded.
"Maybe you forgot that your brother ran away just because he couldn't catch any Absol!" Another villager said.
"You're wrong! My brother never ran away from anything! Something happened, I know it! And I'm going to prove it!" Nicky yelled as he ran off.
"Nicky! Where are you going?!" The elder exclaimed.
"To find Absol and my brother!" Nicky yelled. Sora and Kairi were very concerned for Nicky since he ran off.
"Poor thing. We should go help him," Kairi suggested.
"Good idea. Something isn't sitting right with me," Sora said.
"Yeah, that big guy doesn't seem right," Meowth said. Sora and Kairi looked right at him.
"What do you mean, Meowth?" Kairi asked.
"I think I'll tell ya a little later," Meowth said.
"Right," Sora nodded. He turned to Mr. Hardman. "Do you wanna go first or shall we?"
"You go first and I'll catch up," Mr. Hardman said. He got up and went somewhere. Mr. Hardman looked around to make sure no one was around. He is shown to wear a wristband on his right wrist and activates it. It turns out to be Hard Man in disguise. "Napalm Man, Commando Man, come in!"
Over to the two Robot Masters, Napalm Man and Commando Man answered.
"We're here," Commando Man said.
"What's up?" Napalm Man asked.
"The villagers are eating it up, but we got some humans and some creatures coming along. This is going to be harder than I thought; not as hard as me, I mean," Hard Man said.
"Just keep them away from us long enough to get our practice done," Napalm Man said.
"Right. I'm on it. Over and out," Hard Man said and he reactivates his disguise and takes off to follow the couple and the kids.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth, they ran after Nicky who was still angered by the village's ignorance of the Absol.
"Hey! Wait!" Sora called out to Nicky.
"Go away! What you care?" Nicky hissed.
"We really do care! We wanna help you!" Sora said.
"What did they mean by your brother running away?" Kairi asked.
"My brother didn't run away! I know my big brother, but those idiots down there don't! He would never just disappear!" Nicky said.
"We believe you, Nicky," Sora said. "You mentioned something happened to him. Just what exactly happened?"
"I don't know the whole story, but I know how it started. When the Absol first came to our village, everyone was scared, except my brother Gordon. He wanted to catch one and prove the Absol doesn't cause disasters. One day, he sent word that he has evidence and that he was coming in. And that was the last time we heard from him.
"Yu think the evidence is an actual Absol caught by him?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know, but I trust my big brother and if he has proof Absol then I don't believe anything what the others say either!" Nicky said.
"And if you say Absol is innocent, then I'm board," Sora said.
"Me too," Kairi said.
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"I'm in!" Meowth added.
"And I thought you said Absol were nothing but trouble." - Pikachu subtitle.
"Hey! I'm just going with the winning team," Meowth said.
"You're just saying it just to stay on Sora's good side," - Pikachu subtitle. Nicky was happy to hear someone willing to listen to him.
"Thank you," Nicky said.
"Not a problem. Anyway, my name is Sora and this is my girlfriend Kairi," Sora introduced.
"Hi," Kairi greeted.
"Nice to meet you," Nicky said.
"Shouldn't we be waiting for Mr. Hardman?" Kairi asked.
"I think we can do fie without him," Sora said.
"He's right. He seems to be a professional," Nicky said.
"Yeah, a professional phony," Meowth said. The kids all look at him.
"What do you mean?" Nicky asked.
"I had a bad feeling about that guy, just can't put my finger on it," Sora said.
"Well, I didn't say anything, but I don't think he's who he says he is. I don't even think he's human," Meowth said.
"What? you think he's an alien from another planet?" Sora asked.
"Hey, I ain't the only one who picked up on it! Pikachu and Angel noticed too!" Meowth said. Pikachu and Angel nodded.
"Eevee, vee, Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Angel just said Absol isn't as bad folks says becuase he saved both Pikachu and Angel from the river," Meowth translated.
"The same river that was going crazy," Sora said.
"How can a river go crazy?" Meowth asked.
"We'll worry about that later. Right now we got a Pokémon to prove innocent," Sora said. Kairi and Nicky agreed to Sora's statement. Pikachu and Angel were on board as well. Mr. Hardman finally caught up.
"There you are, kids! I finally caught up with you!" Mr. Hardman said.
"Took you long enough," Sora said.
"Come on. Let's keep going," Nicky said. Sora and Kairi nodded in agreement as they kept going.
Elsewhere, Spyro, Sparx and Elora ventured in the strange world. The purple dragon blushes as he looked at the fawn and blushes.
"So, you enjoying this, Elora?" Spyro asked.
"I am, Spyro. It just feels like a vacation, unlike the one you were gonna go into when we met," Elora said, blushing.
"Yeah, it was kinda unexpected, but to be honest, I'm glad you, Hunter, Zoe, and the professor pulled me over in Avalor. Because if I had ended up in Dragon Shores back then, I wouldn't have met you," Spyro said. Sparx grinned as he watches his friend and partner talk so lovingly. "Also, I'm glad you came with me." Elora felt happy to hear him say it.
"Really Spyro?" Elora asked.
"Really," Spyro said. Elora smiles at that.
"Well, so am I because I get to spend some time with you," Elora said.
Spyro and Elora stare into each other for a few moments as they were drawing closer to each other. Their moment was interrupted when they heard an explosion sound. Spyro, Sparx, and Elora spotted what looks like a stocky man wearing a red cap, a red shirt and blue overalls. He also wore white gloves and brown shoes. He had a mustache and his cap had an M on it. He was fighting a bunch of strange beings wearing red robes and white masks. They all wore brown belts around their waists and blue shoes. With them are mushroom-like creatures with light brown heads and brown feet. They had big eyebrows and fangs coming from the bottom. They threw bombs at the plumber, but he manages to jump out of the way of the assault. Sparx buzzes to Spyro.
"You're right, Sparx, we gotta help that guy. He's totally outnumbered," Spyro said.
"It looks like there's too many of them, Spyro," Elora said.
"I can handle those things with wing tied to my tail. They look like pushovers compared to the gnorcs," Spyro said.
"I know you can handle them, Spyro. Go get 'em," Elora encourages the dragon. Spyro smiled as he blushes. He charges with his horns down and blows through the enemies like a bull over a wooden fence. The plumber was stunned to see a dragon come rushing in like he did.
"Mama mia," the man said in an Italian accent.
"So, which one you geeks wanna go first?" Spyro taunted. The enemies started to attack the dragon only to be greeted by his flames.
"The boss said nothing about fighting a dragon!" One of the mushroom creatures exclaimed.
"Goombas! Shy Guys! Retreat!" The other mushroom-like creature called out. The Goombas and Shy Guys were afraid of the purple dragon and ran for their lives.
"That's it? Just running away?! Most bad guys I fight just fight on!" Spyro called out. He turned to the plumber as Elora joined him. "You okay there, dude?"
"Yes, I'm-a okay. There were a lot-a of-a them today," the man said. "I didn't think-a dragon like-a you would scare off those Goombas and Shy Guys." Spyro, Sparx, and Elora all tilted their heads.
"Goombas? Shy Guys?" Elora asked as Sparx buzzes.
"Yes. The guys in-a the red-a are the Shy Guys and those other ones that-a look-a like mushrooms are Goombas. They're real-a trouble around here," the man explained.
"So, that's it. We should introduce ourselves. My name is Elora," she introduced.
"And I'm Spyro. The dragonfly with me is my bud, Sparx," Spyro introduce as Sparx buzzed.
"Nice-a to meet-a you. I'm-a Mario," Mario introduce. "Are you new to the Mushroom Kingdom?"
"Mushroom Kingdom?" Spyro asked. He looked to Elora to see if she's ever heard of it, but she just shrugs her shoulders. "Actually, we're more like tourists."
"And if this is a kingdom, then we wouldn't mind meeting whoever rules here," Elora said.
"Oh, that-a would-a be Princess Peach. I was-a on-a my way to meet her when I was attacked," Mario said.
"Then, that's who we should see. Lead the way, Mario," Elora said. Mario led the dragon, dragonfly, and fawn to the castle of the princess, unaware of the same turtles watching them. There were several more of them this time. Some of them had blue shells and blue shoes while others had yellow shells and yellow shoes and some had a pair of wings.
"What do you think?" The turtle in green asked.
"We should go report this to Junior and let him know about this," the turtle in red replied. He turned to the winged turtles. "Some of you Koopa Paratroopas stay on their trail while we and some other Koopa Troopas head back to Koopa Castle." The Koopa Paratroopas nodded as some of the Koopas left to report to their superiors.
On the Wumpa Islands, Pit, Shantae, Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops ventured through the strange jungle and looked around at awe.
"It's almost like the jungles back home," Bolo said.
"Yes, but I don't see any monsters lurking around. And we should have at least seen one by now," Shantae said.
"If there were any here, they wouldn't stand a chance against us. After seeing you in action, Shantae, I know what you're capable of. Also, I have this," Pit said raising up his bow. They ventured through the jungle and came across an ancient temple. "How long has this been here?" Shantae, Bolo, Sky, and Rottytops saw what the angel was looking at.
"How long has this been here?" Shantae repeated Pit.
"Don't start acting like a parrot, Shantae. How are supposed to know since nothing like this exists back home," Sky pointed out.
"Let's check it out. There's probably some skeletons inside it," Rottytops said.
"Hope that's all there is," Pit and Bolo said. Little did they know, Crash, Coco, and Aku Aku caught up with the otherworldly visitors.
"Who are they?" Coco asked.
"I do not know, but I can sense some sort of power within them. And they must seeking something within the temple," Aku Aku said.
"Isn't that the same temple you sealed Uka Uka in?" Coco asked.
"The same. I just hope they do not seek anything evil within it," Aku Aku said. Crash went on ahead to see what they were up to.
Meanwhile over to the other jungle, Dindgodile had been thrown in a cage. His leaf blower was left out of his reach.
"Crickey, if there were times I wished I stayed a bad guy, this would be one of those moments. It's bad enough I got me tail handed to me by a bandicoot, but I get it handed to me by some stinky smelly monkeys?" Dingodile asked. He looked at the leaf blower and he tries to reach for it. "Think I almost got it. Almost, almost." he struggles to get it, but it was a little far. "Blimey, first I get my diner blown to bits, then I get sent to who knows where by some hole, and then I get lost in the jungle and get thrown in a cage like a koala. What else could happen?" He had to ask, because some of the local jungle animals come stampeding and the cage gets smashed in the porccess, while his leaf blower is knocked over by a running zebra. Dingodile goes flying and lands on his face. "Now I gone and done it." The ape along with Kiddy Kong and two other apes come through the jungle because of the stampede. One is an orange organgutan wearing a white shirt and blue overalls and the other is a tall female ape with jumbo earrings and white wristbands. She wore sky blue sweat pants with a sky blue big-belly baring spaghetti-strap top. Her top has a flower on it and has purple borders, she wears orchid sandals and also wears a beanie hat, that is green in the bottom, purple in the middle, pink on the top and has pink borders around the colors green and purple. She has pink nails. They saw Dingodile was out of his cage. The half dingo-crocodile hybrid creature took his weapon and made sure it was working properly. "Works just fine."
"Hey! How did you get out?!" The large ape exclaimed.
"My cage got smashed in the stampede. Now that I'm out, I'll be on my way," Dingodile said.
"That's the Kremling you told us about, Chunky?" The orangutan asked.
"It's him alright, Lanky. There's no mistaking a Kremling that ugly," Chunky said.
"Ugly is right. Also, not a good sense of fashion," the female ape said.
"Now's not the time, Tiny," Chunky said. "Now we get him!" Chunky said. Just before a brawl could get out, another dimensional rift opens and starts sucking him in.
"Crickey! Not again!" Dingodile exclaimed. The apes went after him and then closes. Dingodile and the apes gor through the dimensional space screaming.
Over in Canterlot City, the Rainbooms as they introduced themelves explained to King Dedede, Time Man, and Oil Man about the magic from Equestria and their mission to keep it under control. Sunset Shimmer started with how she was Princess Celestia's student.
"And that's about it," Sunset Shimmer finished.
"You mean you came from a magical kingdom that's filled with talking magical horsies and you used to be a student to some princess?" King Dedede asked.
"Also, there's magic coming from that world?" Oil Man asked.
"Absurd! There's no such thing as magic," Time Man said.
"I know it's pretty weird, but it's true," Sunset Shimmer asssured them.
"Also, you two mentioned you're robots created by a scientist named Dr. Thomas Light, right?" Twilight asked, making Pinkie giggle.
"Twilight's a poet and she didn't know it!" Pinkie said.
"Yes, that is until we were stolen by another scientist by the name of Dr. Albert Wily and reprogrammed as fighting robots," Time Man explained.
"That was until Mega Man came along and took us out down and brought us back to the good doc to get us back to our senses," Oil Man added.
"He reprogrammed us to help with the damage we caused because of Dr. Wily, but there some trust issues among the humans," Time Man said.
"Believe me, I know what's that like," Sunset Shimmer sighed. Just then, a dimensional rift opens above them as Dingodile and the apes fell through They dogpiled on King Dedede, Time Man, and Oil Man.
"Do you mind getting off my back?" Dingodile asked.
"Do you mind all of you getting off our backs?" Oil Man asked.
Back in Hoenn, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and Nicky go through a mountain pass while the ground is unsually wet. Nicky, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth are up ahead while Sora and Kairi are right behind them.
"Be careful, guys. This area's kind of wet and slippery, okay?" Nicky warned.
"Thanks for the warning," Meowth said. "How do ya know about this place?"
"I came up here a bunch of times. I keep hoping I'll find some clue about Absol," Nicky said.
"Did ya happen to find one?" Meowth asked.
"So far, I haven't found one," Nicky said.
Meowth groans, "Figures."
Nicky leads them to where the Absol commonly roam about. It turns out there is a square-shaped rock on top of a pillar.
"Here's Square Top," Nicky said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth saw why it was called Square Top.
"Is this where you would find some Absol?" Kairi asked.
"Yep. This whole area is considered to be Absol territory," Nicky explained. Sora saw how much there was on the ground. There was so much water, he could feel the bottom of his feet get wet.
"There's definitely a lot of water here," Sora said. Kairi turned to her boyfriend and knew what he meant.
"You're right. It's almost starting to look like a river," Kairi said. Mr. Hardman caught up with them once again as Absol appears before them.
"There it is!" Nicky said.
"Absol!" Meowth said afraid.
"So, that's an Absol. I was expecting something bigger; but not as strong as me," Hard Man said. He looked at a round rock on another pillar and he got an idea. With the kids ditraction, he started to make his way to the rock.
"Absol! I know you're not behind the disasters going on! If you come with me, we can convince them that you're not bad! Please Absol!" Nicky said. Absol jumped off the square rock and stood in front of them. Hard Man took this as an opportunity and rolled the rock towards them and ran off. Sora saw the rock coming right at them.
"Watch out!" Sora yelled. Kairi, Nicky, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth all scream as Absol turned and destroyed the rock into pebbles with a powerful Dark Pulse. Absol turned and dashes off again.
"What just happened?" Nicky asked.
"See? Absol caused it to happen!" Meowth excalimed.
"No. It wasn't Absol! Someone pushed the boulder to crush you," a new voice corrected him. Only Nicky knew the voice.
"Gordon!" Nicky said happily. His older brother Gordon wore a cowboy hat and a red bandana around his neck.
"Hey Nicky. It's been a while," Gordon said. Nicky embraced his brother.
"Where have you been all this time?!" Nicky asked.
"Sorry I took so long," Gordon apologized. He notices the couple and Pokémon with his brother. "Who are these?"
"This is Sora and his girlfriend Kairi. THey believe Absol is good just like we do," Nicky said.
"That's right. Just what happened to make you stay away for so long?" Sora asked.
"If you must know, I have been doing some investigation on the Absol since they began showing up. I once cornered an Absol and got into a battle with my Heracross, but instead of capturing one, I ended up saving one," Gordon explained. "Ever since then, I have been on a long journey to learn what I can about Absol only to learn that they never live in areas where there are people. Also, they never attack unless they're provoked. I looked into other areas inhabited by Absol and found that they had been unjustly blamed for some disasters. And the only time Absol go where there are people is when there is toruble."
"The villagers said something about rock slides. What can you explain about that?" Sora asked.
"I don't know exactly, but I did find these," Gordon said, taking out remaints of rockets. "I didnt see who were responsible for it, but I do now it was someone who caused these rock slides. But, that's not the real problem," Gordon said.
"What do you mean?" Sora asked. He thought of the river and realized that could be it. "Wait! Did you look at the river?"
"I did. I saw how the river was running harder and faster than usual," Gordon said. "Also, geysers were erupting lately."
"Geysers?" Meowth asked. Water explodes from a rock behind them.
"Those are what I mean. The pressure has been building at a rapid paGordon said.
"And that means that'll be even more water coming out like shook up soda," Meowth said.
"Also, it means it's enough to flood out Riyado Town," Gordon said.
"That means Absol knew the trouble before anybody did. It was when the bridge collapsed and when he showed up now!" Sora stated.
"And what about the rock slides?" Nicky asked.
"If someone is causing that, then we'll put a stop to that," Sora said. He turned to Meowth. "What does Absol know about the disaster?"
"Hey, I'm a translator, not a mind reader!" Meowth snapped at Sora.
"Ask him when we find him!" Sora exclaimed.
"Of course you're gonna suggest that. Better you than Jessie anyway," Meowth said.
"We don't need to find Absol, because he's up there!" Kairi said. Everyone turned to see Absol looking towards the rock. Water erupted making everyone gasp in shock as the water came streaming down. Absol fired Dark Pulse at the rock with hopes of containing it.
"What is he doing?" Meowth asked.
"Absol is using Dark Pulse on that rock. Absol has figured the only way to stop it is to block the water," Gordon said.
"Then we should help out!" Sora said, taking out his Pokéballs. "Ludicolo! Shiftry! Loudred! Sceptile! Metang! Go!"
"Plusle, Minun! Corsola! Masquerain! Go!" Kairi called out.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt! Sceptile! Bullet Seed! Ludicolo! Water Gun! Shiftry! Leaf Tornado! Metang! Flash Cannon! Loudred! Hyper Voice!" Sora ordered.
"Angel! Swift! Plusle and Minun! Thunderbolt! Masquerain! Bubble Beam! Corsola! Spike Cannon!" Kairi ordered.
"Heracross! Hyper Beam!" Gordon ordered. All of the Pokémon fired their chosen attacks to assist. The rock could not budge.
"The rocks not budging!" Sora shouted.
"Our Pokémon are too far from the rock to make it move! We should have our Pokémon move in closer," Kairi suggested. Absol stopped his attack and went closer and fired Dark Pulse again. Sora turned to Kairi.
"Kairi, we're gonna have Pikachu and Angel join in!" Sora said. Kairi understood what he meant and nodded.
"Yes. Angel! Stop firing Swift and go up to Absol!" Kairi called out.
"You too, Pikachu!" Sora added. Pikachu and Angel ceased fire and went to join the disaster Pokémon and got close to him. Meowth wasn't sure what they were planning.
"What are they doing?" Meowth asked.
"Now!" Sora and Kairi called out. Both Pikachu and Angel fired Thunderbolt and Swift to assist Absol. The rock began to budge. They held on until it fell right over. The rock tumbled and successfully blocked the water.
"We did it!" Kairi cheered.
"Riyado Town is safe!" Nicky said.
"Now to tell everyone what happened," Gordon said.
"So, where's that Hardman guy?" Meowth asked.
"Probably long gone. He wasn't much use anyway. Besides, he's not worth worrying about," Sora said.
Hard Man discarded his disguise and met up with Naplam Man and Commando Man.
"You got the practice you need?" Hard Man asked.
"Sure have," Commando Man confirmed.
"Now, let's get back. We should be more than ready to deal with that blue twerp," Napalm Man added. A dimensional rift opens and the three robots go through.
Everyone returns to Riyado Town and explained to the townspeople that the reason for the bridges being destroyed was because of the increased water pressure on the mountain, not because of the Absol. The Absol were trying to warn everyone, but no one would listen. The townspeople felt so foolish. Also the rock slides were caused by some explosives. Gordon even shown them the proof. When the elder asked about Mr. Hardman, they said he was just plain useless.
"I cannot believe we hired someone incredibly incompetent over an overflowing river," the elder said.
"You were right about the Absol all along and we should have listened," another villager said.
"Nicky, Gordon, we can only give you our sincere apologies," the elder said.
"Can you ever forgive us?" The first villager asked.
"We already have. We're just glad that everyone is safe," Nicky said.
"And some of the credit should go to Sora and Kairi for their help. Their Pokémon really helped save the day," Gordon said.
"And they also have my thanks because they were the first people who listened to me," Nicky said.
"So, I'm just chopped liver?" Meowth asked. Pikachu batted the scratch cat Pokémon on the side.
"Thank you for saving our village. And now thanks to you, we have grown wiser," the elder said. Team Chaotix finally caught up with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth after losing their trail briefly and before following their footprints.
"There they are!" Charmy cheered before Vector shuhsed the bee.
"You don't need to thank us. The Absol deserves the most credit since they knew about the water in the first place. Besides, you shouldn't believe every little thing you hear. Isn't that right, Meowth?" Sora turned to Meowth with a stern look on his face.
"Yeah, yeah. I know that..." Meowth paused, "now anyway. I only thought Absol were called the disaster Pokémon because disasters happens when they were around, but it turned out to be completely untrue." Just then, Absol comes from the mountain much to everyone's surprise.
"Absol," Sora could only say.
"Sol, Absol, Sol, Ab, Absol, Sol," Absol said.
"What's Absol saying, Meowth?" Sora asked.
"Absol just said that he wants to be your Pokémon, Sora. He thinks that you something special, so he wants to come along and learn about that something," Meowth translated. Absol nodded.
"Is that why you're here?" Sora asked. Absol nodded. Sora smiled and accepted the challenge. "Then, you're on." He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Loudred!" Loudred emerged from his Pokéball and swings his arms around. "Loudred! Start things up with Stomp!" Loudred ran towards the disaster Pokémon, but Absol easily dodges the big voice Pokémon and swung the blade on his head with Razor Wind. Loudred got smacked by the attack. Loudred got back on his feet, ready for what Absol can deliver. "Loudred! Mega Punch!" Loudred rushes towards Absol to land a punch. Absol avoids the punch, but Loudred wasn't giving up that easily. Loudred successfully lands a Mega Punch. "Now use Uproar!" Loudred started to go wild, creating a soundwave. Them Chaotix covers their ears to keep out the loud noise. Kairi, Nicky, Gordon, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the townspeople did the same thing. Absol was becoming overwhelmed by Loudred's Uproar and gotten weaker and weaker with each hit. Loudred had eventually settled down. "Mega Punch!" Loudred lands a Mega Punch onto Absol. Sora saw how weakened Absol looked and took out a Pokéball and threw it. The Pokéball struck Absol, making him flow inside. Knowing how difficult it was gonna be to keep Absol contained, Sora watches the Pokéball wobbling around violently. It kept going until stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokédex starts buzzing asking him if he wants to keep Absol with him. He chose to keep Absol in exchange for Metang. "Got me an Absol." Loudred was celebrating as he started to evolve much to everyone's surprise. Loudred had evolved right into an Exploud.
"Ploud! Exploud!" The newly evolved Exploud shouted.
"Cool! I got both an Absol and an Exploud!" Sora said.
Over to Ganondorf, he had what he needed for some sort of spell. He started chanting the spell in some sort of language. The spell is a summoning ritual.
In an unknown location being a junkyard, a large green ogre-like creature wearing gold armor and a gold helmet with horns uses his hammer-like scepter to fire lime-green magic at a Spyro dummy. The dummy explodes as he laughs in satisfaction.
"That's what I'm talking about!" The large creature snarled before he vanished.
In another location, a small orange dinosaur-like creature wearing a white shirt, black/or purple dress pants, a regal long black/or dark purple cape-like coat with a collar the size of his head, casual black shoes, and a long ruby medallion around his neck. His cape flaps curls in two at the end. He had a spiraling horn on his head, slits on his yellow eyes and sharp teeth. He has lizard-like fingers, holding a golden scepter with a red ruby. Accompanying him are two dinosaur-like monsters. One is bipedal and purplish blue with a light purple underbelly. He has a fang coming from the bottom. He has small bat wings on his back. He has two horns, curling in the back. The other is a green quadruped dinosaur-like monster with a fang growing on the right, and has yellow horns curling forward. He has spiked bracelets on all four of his legs.
"Now that I got myself a brand new scepter, I can now exact my revenge on that dragon and his little friends. Ruling Avalar alone will not be enough. Ruling all the realms will do me just fine," the small dinosaur-like creature said. "No one shall deny the might of King Ripto!" He turned to his minions and gestures the green monster. "Gulp! Here now!" Gulp obeyed and lifted him on his back. "All we have to do is find him and destroy him! Isn't that right, Crush?" The one called crush nodded in agreement. "Good. Now let's go!" Just then, Ripto and his minions vanishes.
Elsewhere in a location in a pit of pink acid, a dinosaur skeleton emerges from it. The dark magic revealed the remaints to be blue with a yellow or cream-colored underbelly.She wore a golden crown adorned with red jewels, green eyeliner, a white ruff around her neck as well as a gold necklace, adorned with a magenta jewel. She wore a silk vest on, adorned with doilies, and a bejeweled ring on the middle toe of her right foot.She has big, gaudy rouge lips. She lets out a loud scream as she vanishes.
Ripto and his monsters appear first as Crush and Gulp falls right on top of him.
"Get off of me, you imbeciles!" Ripto roared. He got out from under them and got wide-eyed when he saw Tte large ogre-like creature appearing afterwards. "Gnasty Gnorc?" Gnasty Gnorc glares at Ripto.
"What the?! Did you bring me here?" Gnasty Gnorc asked.
"I didn't! It was you who brought me here! What do you want?" Ripto asked demanding to know.
"I didn't bring you here," Gnasty Gnorc argued. The female dinosaur appeared before the two villains. "The Sorceress? Why did you bring us here?!"
"She didn't," a voice spoke. Ganondorf walks before the three villains. "It was I. I am Ganondorf."
"Ganondorf?" Ripto asked.
"You heard of this guy?" Gnasty Gnorc asked.
"If I had, then I wouldn't be wondering it myself, simpleton!" The Sorceress hissed. "I demand that you explain yourself! Why have you brought us here?!" Ganondorf raises his hand.
"You shall have it. I have summoned you three here through a spell that can only be found from the land I come from," Ganondorf said. "The spell I used also resurrected you from the grave."
"So, I was dead," the Sorceress scowled. "I shall have my revenge on that dragon and that traitorous girl!"
"In due time. We much to discuss. Now come and learn of what you desire," Ganondorf said. The three villains wanted answers and they were going to have it. Gnasty Gnorc and the Sorceress went first as Ripto turned to his minions.
"Come on!" Ripto told his minions. Crush and Gulp followed their master as Ripto followed.
Back in Hoenn, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth made it to Serrosey City and spent the night at the local Pokémon Center as Team Chaotix remained outside not risking being seen by them.
"This spot should do," Vector said.
Inside the Pokémon Center, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth slept soundly as they both had such happy dreams. On the next morning, they boarded the ship to reach the next island with Team Chaotix following them onboard. Another adventure was just around the corner.
